If they made a 3rd Mortal Kombat Movie, I hope it would h ave characters from Mortal Kombat 5:Vengeance in it. That games sweet and if they were in a movie, it would be so amazing!

They should have a huge tournament in the movie with weapons and training and stuff... I'd definately see it

Xyandar, the first movie was basically what you described. They had a tournement and there was weapons and training and stuff. Anyway, I think movies take away from certain game's athenticity. Example would be the street fighter movie. They had VanDam as an american prideful, E Honda was a hawiian dude, and M Bison was a small dude(although Raul Julia was an amazing actor). I did like both Mortal Kombat movies, but they kind of forced a plot in the second one and with recasting and killing off main characters(JOHNNY CAGE) I dont think I will see another one. I love when they make games and comic into movies, but I hate when they screw it up.

I heard that there's another Mortal Kombat movie. In my thought, I'd say that it might be good. The first movie was cool, but the second movie rock! Hopefully, there will be more fighters we've never seen from the game be in the movie. Out of two movies, there were a lot more characters that weren't in those movies; and I expected the fight scenes to be alittle longer for the strongest fighters. The scene where it shows that six armed woman getting smashed by a cage and defeated in like one second (in Mortal Kombat 2: Anilation), that really sucks. I expect it to be about 5 minutes worth a fight with her; cause that's just stupid.

So, I think that's cool a 3rd movie is coming. It better be good though; it better be.

My favorite Mortal Kombat media was the comercial for the second or third game where it was live action and showed Scorpion and Reptile and Milina and Katana. Eventhough it wasnt a movie, it was still really cool. I doubt most of you will remember that though...

The first movie was alright. The second movie sucked. Badly.

The story of Mortal Kombat isn't too difficult to understand. It's a pretty good story, but not impossible to sum up in movie form. The first movie was done nicely. Could've been better, but it was still pretty good. The second movie, however, was so poorly written, I had nightmares for weeks. Visions of "writers" crapping scripts out of their feces-holes.

The second and third games shouldn't have been that hard to put into movie form. Especially since the second movie was basically just the third game.Shao-Khan breaks the rules and the worlds begin to collapse onto one another. That's all they had to do. What could've possibly gone wrong?

Cameos. Pointless cameos after pointless cameos. The movie would've been fine if they had just stayed with Liu, Katana, Sonya, Jack, Raiden, and maybe (MAYBE) one other character for the sake of introducing someone. However, they crammed every character they could into this movie-- and for reasons looser than Christina Aguilera after a couple of beers.

Scorpion came back for five seconds, before being beaten by the second Sub-Zero... who also only appeared 5 seconds before running away for no reason whatsoever.
Jade showed up and flirted with Liu for half of the movie, leading them to a false profecy she couldn't have possibly known was false, but knew anyway.
Nightwolf told Liu how to learn a finishing move. Heaven forbid he should join them or something afterward.
Mileena popped up, got killed by Sonya, and we only assume it's Mileena because Sonya called her Katana when she first saw her. Katana never bothered to explain who she was.

Frankly, I'm not so sure I want to see a third film.

I hated the 2nd myself, I cant believe they didnt cast Christopher lambert as raiden, Maybe he turned em down b'cos of the script...Anyway some of the fight scenes where alright and thier was no wire work, which is a good thing.

The story just didnt come together strongly enough and the digital affects left nothing for the imagination. But if they made a third one and it had a fairly big budget i would definatley go see it.

Mortal Kombat was a good movie, nice and simple. Really close to the actually idea of Mortal Kombat. But Mortal Kombat Annihilation sucked very, very badly. It was terrible. It was directed by a different person, and that's why it was so bad. Not to mention they replaced all of the good actors with sub-par ones. The guy who took up the role of Raiden is cool, and I like him in a lot of other movies, but Christopher Lambert was so much better as Raiden. Then they changed who played Sonya, and Johnny Cage. I liked Bridgette Wilson better than the women from Annihilation, and the same goes for the guy who played Cage.

Annihilation was a disaster from the very beginning, from when Shao Khan appeared as a rather small bald human looking being all the way to the end when they had to bring in those lousy Animalities. First they kill Johnny Cage off five minutes into the movie, then they kill off Kabal (My favorite next to Scorpion), and Stryker totally off screen so that they're just mere mentions. It was just all pure crap.

If the third Mortal Kombat is being made, they should completely ignore Annihilation, and just do another sequel to the first Mortal Kombat. Bring back all the better actors, and the guy who played Jax since he was practically the only redeeming value in Annihilation. Get some big guy who doesn't jump around to play Shao Khan, give him his real wardrobe not some cheap crap made in a preschool. Also, find a way to resurrect Kano in the movie, and have the same actor play him, because he was awesome. Not to mention they should add more people, with accurate looks, to the character line up. Ugh, there are just so many more things they'd have to do.

I've seen a bit of the series, it was okay.

Annihilation... as much as I like the 'new look' for our thunder god... it was aload of crap. Honestly, what did they do? James Remar, was it, was pretty crappy. Their acting was horrible, not to mention how corny some fighting moves looked at the start. I had the DVD and I switched it off when I saw some moves. They wrecked it. MK was good with the first one, but Annihilation was corny to me. The ending was okay, but what did they do to Sonya? Raiden? Shao Khan would've been good as a druken fighter, but hell, he was a shrimp, he didn't seem evil to me.
"The Earth was created in 7 days, so too, shall it be destroyed!" Something like that anyway, that seemed kinda weird. It doesn't seem right.

They made a mess of it, really. I just hated most of it. At first, I thought it was cool, now I'm like... bleh?! What have they done?! They made a monster to the whole MK thing, it was messed.

James Remar needs a shave...

Lui Kang wasn't in the series, it was Kung Lao, the original Kung Lao. It took place a long time before the first Mortal Kombat game, and I'm pretty sure it was the Kung Lao that is supposed to die at Goro's hands someday. The show was decent, it got better as it went on then they suddenly ended it when it was getting good. Oh, and look at the Shao Khan in that, he actually looked cool unlike Annihilation's.

Oh, another thing that really annoyed me in Annihilation was that they actually made Raiden and Shao Khan brothers, and Shinnok was their father. What the hell?! Who's the idiot who wrote that? He needs a boot up the ***.

I agree... but the brothers part was kinda cool, but then the whole family thing got out of control. God of Thunder, evil little midget don't really mix as brother wouldn't you agree?
