klinanime1
Hehehe. My art teacher said we could paint anything as long as it had perspection. I think I was the only one who took her literally. Working with acrylics is fairly new to me, and this is the first acrylic painting I've attempted like this. The digital photo deal also kinda damaged it. - -. O well, I like it and if she gives me an F, Nyagh.
Transtic Nerve
I despise Acrylics...... Use oils, they are SOOOOO much better. Anyway, I am not sure how this painting is showing perspective, except in that little building behind the dragon.... unless it's not linear perspective you're talkin about. Anyway, it's not bad at all, but I personally don't like the entire left side of the painting. I dunno, I just think it would be better if you chopped it in half and just turned in the right side of the painting. It does balance out though, because on one side you have all warm colors, on the other you have all cool colors. You use space well, and color even better, but, I'm not a fond of that green on the shirt. It doesn't go with anything. It's the only cool color on that side of painting. My eye tends to be drawn to the lower left side of the painting. In fact everytime I look at it I end up looking there right away. That kinda bothers me since i'm not to fond of that part of the painting anyway.... Um yeah.... Its a good work. I would like it if I did it, ofcourse I'm the type to leave a work in the same type of colors, but yeah.... not bad, not bad.
klinanime1
Yeah... I don't claim to be aiming to show perspective, though I should have. And because I took a digital picture of it, the colors are all screwed up. Plus, I was using crappy school acrylics. Hmmm. Interesting you say I should cut out the left side of it, since that's what I started with. Everything else kinda evolved into what it is now. I've always been rather poor at color schemes. Guess I'm a little too spontaneous for painting. ^^
eleanor
The drawing is very well done, and I hate acrylics [hate to use it to paint a shoe.], but great job. At first I thought the girl's hair was her wing, and then wondered if it was really her hair or her wing, lol. Good job, anyway. But... If your whole final is based around using perspective...to be blunt, it doesn't have much of it. *shrugs* Did you try to use the difference between the color schemes of blue and red to balance it out? It would be very nice if the middle part sort of blended the two together, althought very subtle. And with the girl's shirt and hair...Well, I don't even know what you were trying to achieve with balance, anyway. =_=
Katana
I see...lots o' colors. ^^ Acrylics aren't that bad. And considering she was at school, you guys, acrylics were the only kind of paint avalible (I totally despise watercolors...) That and oils are really damn expensive. Anyways, that is a cool painting. I see a dragon, an archery dude, and a women, and a building behind the dragon...am I suppossed to get what it means? oO; Wondering. But it is cool. I'm not saying it's better than I could do, [strike]although it is[/strike], but that's really cool. ^^
