Multiple Messeges

Maybe we should have a function where when you can PM more then one people with the same messege. It's useful for people to remind more then 1 person that an RPG is up.

[color=indigo]That would be handy. I've actually wished we could do that once or twice. The thing about it, though, is that it makes spamming through PMs all too easy. Like those people that register only to advertise their site. They'd be able to put in a huge list of names and spam tons of people with just a bit of typing and the click of a few buttons.[/color]

Currently, there is one way to send the same PM to multiple recipients, but I don't know if it'll actually be faster or slower than just doing it one-by-one. You can send a PM to everyone on your buddy list at the same time. So, you could add the people playing the RPG to your buddy list, go to your user cp (aka profile), click the link at the bottom of your buddy list titled "Send PM to Buddies," and then select those people.

Not the most efficient way, but hopefully it's more convenient.

vBulletin 3 (the latest version of the forum software we are using) supports this, and OtakuBoards will be utilizing it once we unveil OB v7. :)

Joy for spammers! ...Please tell me there will be some out side control on multi-pming, like time/bulk/use limits or mod's attension when some one sends to like fifty people just to make sure. Or be able to remove yourself from being able to receive multi-pm's.

Receiving PMs has always been an option in vbulletin. Also, in vb3 you are only allowed to send the message to five users at a time.
