Big Day Out

(I don't think there's been a thread about this yet, but correct me if I'm wrong).

For those who don't know, the Big Day Out is an Australian music festival. It goes to the Gold Coast, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth in January/February every year. This is the main line-up:

Well, I'm just wondering if any of you Aussies are going this year, and which one you'll be going to (I'm going to the Perth BDO). What do you think of the line-up? This will be the first Big Day Out I've been to. I wasn't going to go, because of lack of money and anyone else to go with (they all couldn't afford it either), but my brother's fiancee won two free tickets and gave them to me. So that was good.

I'm not exactly crazy about this year's line-up, especially when it's compared to the other years (I'd have given anything to see the Foo Fighters, Nine Inch Nails or Placebo), but it's still pretty good. I'm really looking forward to seeing the Dandy Warhols, Muse, The Strokes and Gerling. Who do you really want to see if you're going?

Oh yeah, anyone ever actually met one of the bands at BDO? That'd be great, but unlikely. lol.

There's always a bunch of bands I'd never even bother with at these things... but The Datsuns, Flaming Lips, Muse, Darkness and a few others make up for it.

It always seems like US tours like these suck by comparison.

I wouldn't mind going though I'm not sure if I can scrape up the cash... There are a few bands I like at it this year, namely.

Big Day Out visits Auckland, New Zealand as well. If I had gone, It would've been mainly for the Kiwi acts, heh.
