Art 50x50 wallpaer of doom

[color=crimson]I did this when my family was moving because I had no internet connection for like a month and I finished the books on my shelf. It's a desktop background created by 50x50 pictures, plus the edge pics which are on the bottom and right. I believe the right were 50x25. and the bottom ones were 20x50.
I realize most of the pics are of the same six, sevn. eight shows, but I could not get online to get more pics. >sighs<

I have two words for you: holy crap.

If I ever feel extremely bored, I'll see if I can name every single character featured in this wallpaper. So far, I recognize faces from Fruits Basket, Yu Yu Hakusho, Inuyasha, Outlaw Star, Kenshin, Escaflowne, Gravitation, Gundam Wing, Trigun, FFVIII....

....Oh, I give up. ;P

I'm not sure whether to congratulate you on actually completing this, or to pity you for having lost your 'net connection for a month. ^_^;

I feel like a geek for being able to name just half of these people ^_^;; I'm sure you put a lot of time and effort into it! If I didn't like my new Pirogeoth background, I'd probably switch.

I like the idea of it! It was really amusing to look at it. I'm going to go try and name the rest of them...

Out of curiousity, how did you decide where to place each image? Was it random, or did you have a plan for how you wanted the wallpaper to look?

I think you should add a nice, simple-looking border. It'll help pull everything together. ^_^

[color=crimson]Mostly random. If you look to the right, there are a lot of pics of Yuki from Gravitation together. I didn't notice it until now. Since it was random, I kept losing track of which pics I used or didn't use, so I think there may be at least two repeats. I original had a border, but it added size to the pic. I think I'll try again. Any color particularly?
And, wiccan, I can name all of them. I have every single on of the full pics in my pic library and I saved all the little ones as AIM icons and avatars. If you really like any certain pic you can pm me for an avatar or just the pic. ^_^;;;

Anyway, thanks for giving me a headache^_~! lol, looking at all those pictures was really confusing. It must have taken a LONG time to get all those pictures and put them together like that. I did something like that for a presentation on Power Point, only I did it with an Inuyasha theme. It wasn't something for school, it was a random thing I decided to do. It had a lot of pics too. But yours has way more. I really like it, accept some of the pictures are a little too small to see, but it might just be the school computer I'm using right now ^_^. Good job!

[size=1]I did something much smaller than this for an OB banner contest once--and even that was a headache. You have my sympathies, or impressment, or something.

I think it would look better if you put a single faded layer of some color over it--to sort of make the whole thing a bit more unified. Still, it's rather intriguing. Lacking the anime knowledge of Dagger, I have to ask--who's the the little orange cat towards the middle? (Right under the little grey mouse.)

I have the rather insane urge to make one of those photomosaic things, now...Scary.[/size]

That is...impressive. O_O!! Haha--I have a friend who makes things like that, only they're not as...square. Oh man, if you did that on MS Paint, I think I'll have myself a new hero...haha.

The little orange cat under the gray mouse is Kyou Sohma is his cat form. I drew that and scanned it for someone to use on a site.

It can get confusing...maybe i should put numbers on all of them and ask which ones need improving...16 rows...21 columns...336 pics...maybe not...but I do plan on changing the one pic in the very bottom right corner to something else.

I'll try the faded layer of color...I put it in grayscale also already, that is in this post. I went alittle crazy with PSP and made red, green, and indigo. If there is too much color just say so. A wee bit of colordidn't look so great.
I got a headache making it...>_>

I like the red one best. The blue/violet one is strange and the green one makes Kenshin and Kyou go all ewwy. The original is very good. Is there like a fading option on Paintshop pro that you can just fade the picture altogether, with no color on it? That would look really c00L.[/color]

All I know is that I saw Kyo, Hatsuahru, Momiji(rabbit form) and Hatori!!!!!!!! *Runs around in joy* No, but seriously, that looks like it took you a long tiome, which is admirable, besides the quality. I know I couldn't even HOPE to try and make something like that! It's really good, although some of the images look a tiny bit blurred, but that's probably because they are smaller than they should be. Very nicely done and it's almost scary to think of what you're capable of doing when you're not bored! WOW.
