anime_guy
This is, by far, in my opinion, one of the best games I have seen. Anyone else have it? What do you think of it? I think they did it well, the graffics are good, the enemy AI is pretty good, and the online play RULES ^_^. But, in online, the firefights aren't very realistic. All you do is straffe back and fourth trying to dodge the other persons bullets and trying to shoot them. But, other than up-close firefights, it's realistic and good. If anyone has the game, ad me to your friends list, my name is Stealthy657. And, if you wnat an invite to a good clan (Clan Otaku) ask me, I can get you in ^_^
Flashlight
I have it, it came with my PS2. It's a fun game, but there was a lot of stuff I didn't really enjoy. I never finished, I just didn't want to. It's fun, and I liked what I played of the first, but the second one just didn't do it for me I guess. I can't really say what exactly it was that I didn't like about it, just not my type of game I guess. I'm not online by the way, so maybe that's another reason I didn't enjoy it as much as you. Charles
My tag is God North. I've only created my first clan today. It's handle is both intimidating and dignified. So, the prospect of it all is rife with possibilities I'd say. Especially considering the cool options at your disposal when dealing with clans. Anyway, my clan is named Ben Frankclan. Isn't that just so cool? I can't believe it wasn't taken. ^_^ I agree with you, anime_guy. Socom II is absolutely a superior product--as it relates to online gaming anyway. I've barely touched the single player campaign at all. I've heard it's quite good, but I'm not much of a military strategist, so I feel a tad overwhelmed by the complex team system. Rainbow Six 3 was much easier to pick up and play in that regard. Not necessarily better per se, just more simplified. The two aspects that impressed me most in the first level was the enemy artificial intelligence and the ability to hide in foilage. Again, my experience was brief, so I'm not sure if the AI really deserves to be commended or not, but it showed promise in my brief observations. The online component is very addictive. Sometimes it can be frustrating (like when you get lousy partners that kill you or opponents that camp in your respawn point) but the interface has legs and it's no trouble at all finding players in your skill range. I like how it's broadband only too. I've rarely encountered any lag (but it is still there on occasion). Most of the time I play Suppression. My tastes lean towards the ranked games. The respawn games are fun for twitch fun, but it's a bit mindless. There's no strategy; people just run around blindly shooting. I like the idea of playing cautiously and working with your teammates to stay alive. Because, let's face it, no one wants to die early and wait until the end of a round to jump back in. I can't wait until the hard drive launches. Screw Final Fantasy XI. I'll buy it for the opportunity to download new content for Socom II alone. But yeah, I'll add you to my buddy list, anime_guy. That way I can hunt you down and destroy you online. XD
It annoys the hell out of me when guys camp at my respawn point and waste half my team three times over. And also, the only lag I've encountered, was in the Vigilence map, when people go into the glitch where you hide in the walls (which is the cheapest glitch ever). Commander ^__^ so, unless you have your wings, I'm better, lol. Oh, and my clan, is pretty big, I'd say more than 30 members, in the second faction, the first one was full ^_^ in the second one, two members have their wings, and it's mostly Lt. COmmanders, except for a few Lt.s and a "butterstick" Sorry if it sounds like I'm bragging about my clan, because I'm not...

Doc
Well, I used to play online... but then I started having problems. My older computer died, and my new one has problems currently preventing me from playing. I used to be part of a clan, but the leader.... I believe =SC=Lt. Dangle.... never showed up for a practice thing after picking members. We had a full clan, and I eventually played with a few, but after about a month it was disbanded. I have kept the name though, because up to that point, I was in the 7000's, which was really good after only a month or so of play. ^_^ Now I'm trying to get my router and current compy to cooperate and let me play again. :flaming: PS. My old name was Doc G, and the one I still use (even though I haven't played any for a loooong time) was =SC=Doc G. ^_^ Very frequent in the West areas... mostly west 1-
