UnsungHero
Well the holidays are nearly at an end. We've experienced the good times and the horribly bad. What would be your worst experience of the holidays? I've got two words for you: poo patrol. That very title cojures up images of vileness. Poo patrol involves "patrolling" your backyard, with a shovel in one hand and a plastic Woolworths bag in the other scooping up animal faeces. Now I know that you Americans are in the midle of a winter wonderland or whatever, but over hear in Australia it's Summer. And summer in Australia equals temperatures of forty friggin' degrees celcius!!! Yes it is blistering hot which is torture enough, but the job of poo partol is made worse by...you guessed it - flies. These bastards crawl all over the ****, and when you try to pick it up they attck you landing on your skin. Believe you me, this is not good. So listen up yanks, while you throw snowballs at one another, and sit in front of the fore sipping hot cocoa, spare a moment for the ones that work above and beyond the call of duty - the few, the proud, the poo patrollers. What's that? Oh yes! What is your most harrowing moment of the holidays. P.S. I'm sorry I had to share all that with you guys...

ChibiHorsewoman
Originally posted by Harry Try nearly a month.
Depends on who you ask, Candlemas is next week so there's another holiday for me! And the Lunar NEw Year was last week The worst part of the Yule season (christams, Western New Year) was dealing with my brother and his constant moodiness. I was tempted to crush up some Pamprine and mix it in a soda to calm him down. The other fun part was the fact that it was closer to my husband going to Iraq. But of course, I didn't have to pick up dog doo in 85 degree heat, so I'm cool.

James
Poo patrol? Whereabouts do you live, UnsungHero? My holidays have been pretty uneventful really. It's good and bad I guess. Sometimes it gets a little boring, because I'm mostly focusing on work and online stuff. But it also means that I can get a lot more done, compared to when I have classes going. Still, I've been going out now and then and spending time with friends as much as possible. So it's certainly not as bad as it could be. We've had some very hot days down here, but it hasn't been nearly as bad as previous years. Actually, January has been a pretty cool month, compared to the last few years.
SaiyanPrincessX
It has been freezing over here, but luckily it didn't really affect any holiday cheer. Although it was the same as usual, aside from the fact that my mom no longer spent Christmas with the rest of us all at once. It was alright. New Years' was probebly the best. I'm really looking forward to Spring/Summer. ^_^
Semjaza
Dogs still crap in the Winter months. I still have to pick it up and now I'd say it's even worse. It's either buried beneath snow or frozen stuck to the ground. Fun.
NorykoAngelcry
My worst holiday moment? Easy! But first, I will have to set it up I think. . Christmas morning, I was woken up by two of my friends. Now, this isn't bad, but it was very wierd. Both were roomates, but one in particular didn't really have much to do Christmas, so both girls came over to my parents house. It was wierd though getting woken up by two of my pretty good friends. . Anyways, my family is pretty big. We have 6 kids with both parents making 8. My second oldest brother is married with two kids. . So, our family is up to 11. . We had 8 different friends hanging out with us that morning O.o It was as close to a party as it could be without having open containers of alcohol everywhere. . lol. Anyways, the bad part comes when it was just the family and a few friends there. . I am sitting in my room, and my dad comes up the stairs. He tells me breakfast is ready. . well. . it's already been served. Seemed, everyone forgot about me. . so, while they were wolfing down their food, I was sitting in my room pondering the meaning of life? Worse then being forgotten, is who remembered me. One of my younger sisters friends counted all the siblings, and asked - Are we forgetting someone? . . *sigh* My own family didn't notice I was missing. . Oh well. . as loud as I can be, perhaps everyone was more then happy to forget about me? Ya, that really didn't make my day though. . just saying. Carr
My most harrowing moment of the holidays: Huh, just one? My cousin's baby momma came ova' fo' Chrismas dinna' (you get the picture). We had Christmas at our house, so of course we were obligated to have gifts for my cousin's son and baby momma. I was nominated to go find these gifts. On Christmas Day. Hell. On. Earth. Then I had to spend a Christmas dinner trying not to offend these people I didn't know. List of things not to say: marriage, illigitament, jail, ring, exc. Hell. On. Earth.
Fall
The good ol' girlfriend-break up-still love you thing, you know. Except this one come over pretty bad, and at the moment I'm pretty mixed up. Apart from that, my holidays have been pretty good. A fight down the street, that was exciting, actually, that made my holidays all the more better. Ha.

It's a job that I must do for my parents or I don't get money... :bawl:
