I hope you check back often <--shamless plug) I originally intended not doing anymore art for a while, but Dan Rugh asked me to draw a picture of Kiba, so I figured since I have only shown wallpapers on this board, why not show a drawing. This image was not drawn completely out of my head as I am sure you can tell, but the drawing is all me, please forgive the shading, the pencil I was using wasnt really meant for it :-) . The only things wrong with it are the ear on the right side and that pinky... it looks like it doesn't have any bones in it lol. Mind if I color this? [/B][/QUOTE] Yeah, Kiba looks a little lonesome without Akamaru, but you did capture him very well, and thank the lord you drew him without the hood! LOL ^^;; I absolutely love it, and despite the pencil you used, the shading isn't that bad at all. I think it would be more interesting if you drew him sleeping in a different setting...stick a butterfly on his head...or Akamaru, of course.^^ Heehee... Squall Posted January 25, 2004 Share Posted January 25, 2004 Very nice drawing. But, as said before, the pinky is a bit deformed. And on the other hand, it looks like he's missing a finger. I also like the style of shading, its light, but not too light. [[b]SasukeUchiha's Art Thread[/b]] I think you've done a very nice job here. Its clean a crisp, no sketchyness whatsoever. One thing I'd like to add though; it needs a background. That aqua color doesn't cut it. Maybe try adding people or a scenere of some sort. Your drawing work is excellent, your colouring and shading mind-blowing... it all comes together excellently. You should be really, really happy with this piece. My only two gripes are, as you mentioned, the pinky finger... and his nose. His nose just doesn't seem to exist to me. lol. Aside from that, really impressive, first rate work. There's only one minor thing that everyone else has commented on, and I'm pretty sure you know what it is so I won't repeat what's already been said >.> Anyway, excellent job! This one is definitly better and I am happy about it. I know its not super detailed, but I like simplicity, because you have to be able to see icons ^^. This image was super tiny, and this is the best I could do with it considering the restrictions the image presented. And H.Zero You may notice there is no outline on the top and bottom lol. ^^ I decided to do that just for you. ^^ Comments/Suggestions/Critiques are always welcome. haruno_sakura Posted January 30, 2004 Share Posted January 30, 2004 I actually like this version of the wallpaper a lot just because there aren't any color mismatches like with the green lines you had in with the last one. I think the swirlies add a nice touch to finish the piece, though I still like the idea of the eye being green, and was rather disappointed to see it gone. But other than that, this is original. Newho, I was originall thinking of "Kitsune Naruto" when I started this, But he kind of looks like a Lion im told, lol. But thats alright. I also went with another coloring style on this one instead of the "cell-shaded looking" one that I did with Inuzuka Kiba. I promise with the next post I will break free of all this Naruto art. I actually like it a lot more than the cell shading you did with Kiba because the softness of the colors is just so easy on the eyes, and it works well with the picture. Naruto looks too adorable. I love the metal effect and the styling of it- it works well with the theme of this banner. I can't say I like the little metal 'buttons' on it, but overall the edging works quite nicely. The cropping on Rei is magnificent... I wish I could approach cropping with the skill that you have. I know you probably used some tool for it, but I must comment anyway. The background you used is wonderful. I love the style of it, rather like how they portray warping into hyperspeed. Very effective. I [i]do[/i] think however that you went a little tiny bit overboard with all the numbers and whatnot. Sure, it looks quite good, but I think one column would probably have been sufficient.
