Dragon Warrior
Hey, dudes and dudettes! What's shakin'? I'm sure we all wanna be famous some day in our lives, but what if you could today? Hm? Well, you can't so meh >: o But anyways, even if you can't be famous yourself, maybe you can be someone else. Become your favorite actor/actress for a day. Possibly a singer or band member, hm? That's the deal with this thread. Which celebrity would voo be for a day (if I granted you that magic power)? I, of course, would be myself since I'm already a celeb. *cough*cough* Yeah... What about you?

Boba Fett
I?d be George Lucas. I?d go into work and screw with episode III. I?d have Boba kill Mace Windu, fix the discrepancies between the prequels and the Expanded Universe, insert Jedgar Nieta into the movies and send a bunch of the Star Wars paraphernalia from the movies to my house. I'd also fix all the crap thats wrong with the movie (No damn Arwen at the Fords and more of Elrond's sons =P).

I want Jules to get his anger on in Episode III. If I had to choose to be a celeb...Stanley Kubrick. 2001, Dr. Strangelove, Clockwork Orange, Full Metal Jacket, The Killers...brilliant filmmaker. Mel Brooks would be a close second. I'm jealous of him for coming up with The Producers. I wanted to write The Producers.
Sir Kyle
I think I'd be Howard Stern. That's right, Howard Stern. He's not too sexy or over the top (though sometimes he is) and he's pretty much just a regular guy. Except for his crowning feat. This man is the object of so many beautiful women's eye that it's frickin insane. For some reason, the ladies all flock to him even though he's no better than the next man on the street and I find that to be insanely awesome. Being able to go around and be like "I'm Howard Stern, you are now in love with me." would be a great thing to be able to do.
Deedlit
I don't think I would even want to be a celebrity. Dragon Warrior
>: o DEEDLIT! I'm ashamed you said that. You could at least be me! I am the greatest celebrity out there! Meh, maybe I'd be Johnny Depp. Women love him and he's a superb actor. Ya cha cha!

DeathBug
I'd be Joe Quesada. If anyone knows who Joe Quesada is, they're automatically cool. JQ's life has combined my two favorite pasttimes, and he revitalized his company. Of course, I'd be sure toi use all the power he wields still to alter things to my own design, but that's par the course for fantasy sequences. And, as Boba Fett said, I'd get all sorts of paraphinelia sent to mine own abode. Sounds like fun, no?
wrist cutter
"The Celebrity I Would Like to be for a Day" by wrist cutter When I was posed the question, "What celebrity would you like to be for a day?", it didn't take me long to make a decision. Maybe it was because I was listening to L'Arc~en~Ciel at the time, but the first person to come to mind was vocalist Hyde. He's not the most admirable person, nor is he even the coolest member of the band; but nonetheless, if I could be any celebrity for a day, I won't hesitate to name Hyde as the one. L'Arc~en~Ciel has provided a ray of sunlight in an otherwise bleak winter. After a three-year wait, listening to the same set of songs over and over, they have finally decided to return, and once again provide us with great, new music. Even though it's not due for release for a few days yet, I've been listening to their newest, "READY STEADY GO", for several weeks non-stop now. It's not so much that it's the greatest song ever made, but that it's finally something new from a music group I love so much. My passion for the band has been quickly and completely reignited. It goes without saying that they are my favorite band, and that they create what I feel is the best music I've ever heard. But why Hyde? Why not any of the other infinitely cool members? Guitarist Ken IS my favorite of the group after all. But nonetheless, my choice rests on Hyde. His voice, his looks, his persona, his status, everything makes me almost envious of him. Ken may be cool, but his life is just not one I'd want to lead - I'll leave that up to him. But with Hyde, I'm quite interested in seeing what a day in his shoes would be like. The most obvious reason would be simply because of his voice. If you had heard this man sing, I really wouldn't need to explain. He has such a strong, bold voice, one that can almost make you melt as you listen to a ballad like "anata". At the same time he is fully capable of using a falsetto tone, adding a soft, delicate touch to songs like "the silver shining". Like Hyde I enjoy singing a lot, but like most people I can only aspire to be like him. If there's any one reason why I'm jealous of Hyde, it's his amazing voice. In fact, just today I watched the "GRAND CROSS CONCLUSION" video. This video is the final concert of their GRAND CROSS tour from 1999, considered to be the golden year for the band. In the second song they play, "HONEY", it's almost painful to listen to him sing. I don't know if it's because the tour had been so strenuous or if he just didn't warm up enough, but he really struggles with this song and a few of the following ones. His voice is very rough and even off-key sometimes. By watching these first few songs of the video, almost anyone would come to the conclusion that he's not a very good singer at all. But as the concert went on, he got better and better. From the desperate "fate", or the fun and upbeat "Caress of Venus", his improved vocals hit every note perfectly. By the end of the concert, as they conclude with a beautiful rendition of their hit "Pieces", Hyde gives perhaps his best performance of the whole tour. Words can simply not describe how well he sings this song; it's perhaps even more powerful live than it is on CD. It's performances like these that make me realize that he really is a great vocalist. While he doesn't exactly have a "keen" fashion sense, Hyde is certainly the best looking of the group. His looks have attracted many female fans to the band, even in their early days when he looked like a woman himself. Over the years however, his image changed with the music and has taken on a more masculine look, and now he looks entirely normal. He may be 36 years old and a father, but he's managed to capture youth and he doesn't look a day older than 25. Like any man I certainly wouldn't mind having legions of girls attracted to me, so this comes as a special bonus to his voice. It's another significant reason why I would enjoy living a day in Hyde's life. Even though he probably likes having so many fans as well, Hyde hasn't let success go to his head too much. He's made many remarks about his crush on the celebrity Megumi Ooishi, and received a lot of jokes about it in return. But on Christmas Day, 2000, he was lucky enough to have his dream come true, and he married her. Even more recently, it's been announced that the two have had a child. It was kept very quiet and few details are known, but it's not necessarily everyone's business anyway. It's clear that, despite having so many choices, Hyde is happy to be only with his wife. Finally, he's the vocalist of L'Arc~en~Ciel. Need I say more? It would be awesome just to SEE these guys, let alone be a part of them. Imagine the amount of bragging I'd be able to do if I were to meet and play with these wonderfully gifted musicians. Ever since I've been into them, it's always been a dream of mine to eventually see them in concert, which would probably be a fairly common dream with most people and their favorite bands. But if I were Hyde for a day, it would be so much more involved than just being a spectator at a concert. It's truly an unimaginable experience. Over anyone else, Hyde is definitely the person I would like to be for a day. To have his voice, to be in his shoes – it's an experience I wouldn't be able to get with anyone else I could select. The choice, for me, was very obvious when I initially saw the question. I never hesitated, but reached an answer quickly. I am sure that Hyde would be the best person to live as for a day. Word count: 1,027 *Applause* Very good! So timely! Two golden star stickers for you today, wrist! ~Drix How about responding instead of editing my posts for once? Megumi momo
I would be Stephen King. Only becuase he has so much to say and his mind is like an asylum. In reality I would rather be no one but myself because only I am who I am and there is no one else like me.
Baron Samedi
I have both a serious and a humourous vote for this. Serious first, like dinner before dessert. John Cussack. If you have ever seen him in Grosse Point Blank [Is that it?] for example, you will note how cool he looks. I would love to look like that. Plus he is rich and has a nice car, but really.. I just think he looks so bloody awesome in that movie.. Don't know what good it would do, but it would be fun. The Rock: I'd change his stupid name to something more palatable and sell everything he has and give it to charity. Why not ruin him? What kind of arrogant person would actually call himself 'The Rock'?
ChibiHorsewoman
I'll probably get flamed for my responses, but what the hell! First celebrity I want to be is Barbie! Yes, I want to be a small plastic toy. I don't have to work, pee every two hours or brush piles of snow off my car. Plus, I get to have a boyfriend who talks with the help of a six-year old. C'mon, how much fun would that be! Second is George W. Bush. Yes, I think the guy has some of the worst policies in the free world. Not to mention some of the most narrow minded ideas that ever graced a person's mind, but I want to know why. What makes him think the way he does, and what can I do to make him think the way I do! Plus, maybe if I became President for a day, I'd know what to expect.:) Third, I want to be Paris Hilton. I want to look as though a good breeze would blow me over. I want to be rich, not by my hard work, but by what mommy and daddy did. I want to make and idiot of myself on national television. And most importantly, I don't want to think for a whole day! Finally, I want to be Mr.Ed. I have no idea why except that I've already decided to be a child's toy so why should a Palomino gelding from a 1950's TV show sound any stranger? And besides, I get to be the famous Mr.Ed!
