Gi'Uen stopped suddenly. He would never get used to the crossing. One moment, grassland had streched as far as he could see, and now he was surrounded by mechanicle wonders, all contained within huge domes.

He thought of turning around and going back to the previous reality, but he would have to walk several miles at least to reach the border. So he looked around and chose a random street.

He knew he stuck out like a sore thumb, but that couldn't be helped. He brushed his hair out of his eyes, annoyed. While attached to his enormous machine, all body functions had ceased. He had grown accostomed to it's perpetuality. Now his body was free to grow, locked in the prison of inevitability.

He walked in to what he hoped was a bar of some kind. Inside he did find a bar, but also a thirty foot long and wide "cage" with tw ooccupants, looking like they were ready to slit each other's throats.

One looked mechanicle, like androids he had dreamed about. The other was a women, rather pretty actualy.

He shook his head. She was just a product of this reality, of whoever made it. Speaking of wich, they would probably be looking for him. He had no way of discerning that person from the others araound him, but he or she would surely feel the ripples of growth and disturbence eminating from him.

He got up to leave as the fight ended, and was stopped by the women, girl now that he saw her up close, that had apparently won.

"Who the hell are you, and what are you doing here?" she said.

"You shouldn't know..." was all that Gi'Uen gave her for a responce before briskly exiting. He found his way impeded by a wall that had appeared out of no where. At this point he wished he had retained his nearly God like powers.

OOC: alright, have at it!

Ei'Riet F'Lar sat atop a grand mountain, watching the bloody battle from below with extrordinary interest. Two opposing sides. One, the civilization of Glanuét with their twisted blood sacrifices and heathen worships, wielding diamond tipped morning stars and short swords of steel. Their leader was a man by the name of Samuel Norrin, a dark-skinned dictator from the far northern mountains. He had decided to do battle against the nation of Orrinel due to some rather false tactical information F'Lar just might have had a hand in delivering. The people from Orrinel wore thin plate mail and fought with throwing daggers. Very accurate, very accurate.

The first abandoners were beginning to run from the battlefield, their spirits broken and their cause forgotten. Ei'Riet stood, adjusted parts of his armor, and bounded down the side of the mountain, leaping at nearly three hundred meters per second. In no time, he was running acros the arid salt flats that marked the main battlefield for most of this world. The ground was stained the brown color of old blood and powdered with white bonedust. Ei'Riet smiled. He loved the chase.

He was on top of the first escaped soldier before the man knew what had happened. Ei'Riet swung his hammer hard, splintering the mans skull and snapping his neck. He fell to the ground, his mouth in an 'O' of surprise. Ei'Riet snapped his head around, searching for his next target, and found it. A woman was retreating, holding her damaged sword close to her chest. He bounded after her, striking her in the middle of the back with his hammer, watching her fall to the ground, impaling herself on her clenched sword. She added to the stain.

He destroyed the abandoners with ease, jumping into the main group and beginning the slaughter. He swung his hammer in a wide circle at chest level, decimating the ribcages of over thirty men and women. They flew into the air and landed with an audible thud. Some screamed. Many more did not. Ei'Riet bent at the knees, still swinging his hammer, and took out the legs of twenty or so warriors. They screamed in pain as they grasped at their splintered nubs.

He jumped into the air and stayed, suspended there. A shockwave of sound eminated from his body, knocking every warrior to the battle field, many falling on their own weapons. He leaped to the ground and moved with unnatural speed from one fallen warrior to the next, breaking their backs with his hammer. Blood spouted from the mouths of the crushed. He became a blur, snapping the spines of every man and woman as he went.

Ei'Riet stopped. He scanned the salt flats for any living 'people'. There were none. He smiled and wiped his bloodstained hands on his bloodstained robes. Another day, another fine battle in the world of Cierno'Fal.

((OOC: I guess we just create a story of our world until you enter eh?))

The heavey fog had not yet risen, but the bridge was still very visible. Nemisis stood admist a regiment of armored troops, many were resting their assult rifles atop their shoulders waiting for the charge to sound. Other still were checking their swords for the coming battle.

The heavy booming sound of the artillery drug on, every few seconds another sounded. Seconds later a crash of the shell could be heard and seen. The city they were attacking was three times the size of the armies home town of Kieler. Yet by conquering the souronding villages, the small to be empire had assembled a vast army of 70,000. Still stratagy and supirior training, were not enough to defeat their enemy. With 285,000 or so troops waiting across the river luck would play a major roll. That was were the fog came in, it would mask the army until they were right ontop of the defender's front lines.

Nemisis unsheathed his blade, the entire army could be seen tensing up, jolting to attention of their commander. With a swift single motion Nemisis thrust the sword to the direction of the bridge. A tidal wave of soldiers rushed past Nemisis, charging the enemy's lines. Hopefully the bombardment had done it's job of disorganizing a hard defense. The roars of the army could now be heard as the enemies heavy guns began firing on the men half way on the bridge.

Nemisis: *smiling dubiously* Go ahead and fire all you want you won't desroy that bridge and you won't stop the coming wave....

With that he gave a second wave of his sword signaling another charge, this time he lead it into the dense fog.

Snowy watched from a tree while cleaning her wepons while listening to music on her head phones. All thought the city is old it still has the modern convenience. She looks torward the small river were her village resigned. She often did this when she wanted to be alone. She liked the solitude and didn't like to stay with the village.

" Help! help!" a young boy screams as he runs from the direction of the great pyramids. Snowy looks up and noticed the boy's leg driping with blood. She stands up from her spot in the tree. " Some one is going on a rampage in the city many are dead and olny few are alive." the boy saids and passes out because of his wounds.

Snowy jumps out of the tree and glances at the city." It seems another slayer is here. lets go." Snowy saids and looks at the city then at the warriors of her village. " the boy. Take care of his wounds." Snowy saids and the 12 fighters head to the pyramids. Snowy steped ahead of the group. they notice scattered body parts all over the streets. There standing before them is the one Snowy called the slayer.

Drenched in blood. the smell of death surounded them as Snowy prepared to attack the murderer. He smiled and attacked her soilders. Snowy noticed he had wounded five of her soilders with a almost unpredictable attack. " Retreat." she said clamly. " but Sno-" one of the soilders started and then realized her word was not to be disobeyed.

When all soilders were in a safer location Snowy took out her choosen wepons. two identical swords. The sands of the desert scatter as a great wind blows past. The slayer picks up his wepon a sword stained with the blood of his many victims." You can't defeat me ." he saids nastly as he attacked with great force." I will kill you." Snowy saids in a low voice while slashing at him with her swords. She misses and he stabs her in her leg. She lands gracefully on the ground in little pain from her wound.

She destracts him by using her sword techniques again. This time when he went to stab her she quickly pulled out her daggers and slashed his throught. The red rivers flow was endless. The slayer fell to the ground in a pool of blood . Snowy landed on her unwounded leg. One of the soilders quickly ran to her side." Are you okay?" she said worried." I'm fine ," Snowy stood up." look for survivers. hopefully theres some people still alive. go." Snowy saids and looks at her wounded leg. It was driping blood down to her heal." this is gonna hurt me later." she said wraping it up with a bandage on of the soilders had just handed her. Snowy stood up examining her leg and then joined the rest of the soilders to search for survivers." every year this happens." She saids as she continues to search the streets of the desert city.

My apologies. Next time, I'll reply more quickly. I'm assuming that you haven't left my world yet (sorry, it wasn't entirely clear >_>). Anyway, I've attached an image of my character; she's the dark-haired girl.

**************************************

"You shouldn't know..." the green-eyed boy retorted. As he turned to leave, her fury flared, and he found himself facing a wall which definitely hadn't been present before.

Eris crossed her arms. "Don't even think about it," she said coldly. "This is my world."

As she spoke, the people and androids around them suddenly froze, neither moving nor speaking. Time itself appeared to have come to a standstill. The fighter was perhaps an inch or so shorter than Gi'Uen, but she radiated fury, and the strength that lay hidden in her lean body somehow made her seem much taller.

He really didn't need this. Resisting the urge to roll his eyes, he met the girl's angry gaze. "I'm just passing through. Now, if you'll allow me to--"

A sudden explosion cut him off. Eris scowled, realizing that she had been too distracted to completely control the flow of time. Apparently some of the bettors had not enjoyed losing their money, and a full-fledged battle was brewing here.

She shoved the boy aside as a shuriken shot through the air between them. Before he had time to respond, Eris had knocked him to the floor. "Stay down," she hissed, disabling an attacking android with a series of smoothly delivered kicks. "I'm Eris. You're not leaving here until I understand what's going on."

OOC: no problem

IC: Gi'Uen stood up and walked calmly to the corner of the small building where no one was waving around sharp objects.

He called out, "Fool! Freeze them!"

Eris stopped, evreything around immediatly frozen in time. "Do you have some kind of problem with me?" She was obviously annoyed at the intruder.

"One thing we all learn, use your power as much as you like. You don't have to be sparing with it... amature." That made her angry, some person she doesn't even know, calling her amature?

"That's it, who the hell are you? Now!"

"I'm from my own reality... it is no longer mine." Gi'Uen's demeaner became more depressing as he spoke. "I escaped from my reality... then 'He' found me. I found the seeker's secrets... I will never return there."

Eris looked genuinly confused, or shocked, Gi'Uen couldn't tell.

"Now, if you don't mind, I'll be heading towards the border."

"Border? What are you talking about?"

"You wouldn't know... being trapped here."

Eris nearly laughed, "Trapped? Is that what you think of this?"

Eris wasn't sure whether to be offended or amused, but this boy's dismissive attitude was beginning to grate on her nerves. "What's your name?" she snapped, glaring balefully at the motionless androids around them.

He hesitated, then ran a hand through his hair and glanced away. "Gi'Uen," he muttered. "Are you satisfied?"

"No," came Eris's curt reply. "Tell me what you learned about the seeker."

Could she possibly help? Would she try to stop him? Eris obviously enjoyed controlling this vast, sterile world--and yet she also allowed herself to be governed by its rules. She fought with a calm, practiced ease, as though combat consumed a large portion of her life in the machine. If she refused to let him pass, he could reach the border other ways; her warlike demeanor didn't perturb him in the slightest. All the same, Gi'Uen found himself wondering whether Eris would turn out to be an ally of the seeker--or, alternatively, a friend of his.

"Why do you care?" he finally asked.

The brunette pursed her lips, fixing him with a piercing stare, and then grabbed his wrist. Her hand was shockingly strong. A second later, their surroudings faded away into darkness: they now stood upon what appeared to be an endless field of stars.

"Phase space," Eris said shortly. Gi'Uen tore his arm from her grasp and backed away, watching her warily. "Time does not exist here," she continued. "Now, explain to me what you meant by 'the border.'"

"The border... first of all, you'd never be able to reach it while still held by the machine."

"Held by the machine... and so you're not in one? How is that possible?"

"Listen. I won't tell you what I have discovered, because you will only think me as a blasphamer, but to find the border, you must first be looking for it. It can be anywhere, but nowhere. Of course, while still connected to that vast machine, it won't allow you out of this universe. But if you break free, and you travel far enough, you can skip to another's universe."

"You mean go into another person's machine?"

"No, the machines are only what bind us to our parts, the actual universes are all part of an internal network of thoughts."

"And so you can go through it..."

"Exactly."

Eris gazed out across the starry expanse. Though her face had remained neutral throughout Gi'Uen's explanation, she was deeply troubled. It had never occurred to her that she might somehow break free from her machine; she could hardly imagine why one might want to do such a thing.

Isn't this what everybody dreams of? We play God until we die, and in my world I am a god. Why want more? We're incredibly lucky to have encountered the seeker--why would anyone wish to disturb our peace?

"Fair is fair," the girl finally told him, her voice low and flat. "You answered my questions, so I'm letting you go."

She concentrated briefly on leaving the phase space, and they soon found themselves standing upon a desolate, windswept plain. The landscape was dotted with bizarre rock formations and the metallic skeletons of ancient buildings. Eris brushed the hair out of her eyes before turning around, unwilling to leave anyone in this barren place, but aware that Gi'Uen would be able to reach his destination on his own.

"Wait," she called as he began to walk away. He glanced back at her, mildly surprised. "I don't understand why you're challenging the seeker. If you ever feel like telling me the truth in its entirety, come back to this world. And try not to get killed in the interim."

((OOC: I know there isn't a real point in me posting this....but Im bored lol so enjoy))

The enemies front lines crumbled under the frontal charge. Deserters ran to any direction available. Many still surrendered. Nemisis smilied to himself at this desisive victory. Now the enemy would have to rely on thier second defense, as well as trench warfare. Of course this was bad news for both sides of the battle. Heavy losses were going to follow, urban warfare had always been bloody.

Nemisis sat down on a crumbled wall as the after math was being tallied. Troops cris-crossed the small square which would serve as a supply depot. "This battle will be fruitless.....unless we can assume the air power. Those blasted flak and sam sites pose a problem. I will find a way around them though."

Just then explosions followed as the enemy commensed artillery bombardment. Without sufficient scouts however, most of the shells never came close to their intended target. Several were even hitting buildings with their own troops inside. "Yes, tear yourself apart, that way, you won't suffer as much."

OOC: OK, I'll try to pick up the pace so more people can become part of the central plot line...

IC: It was several miles, and half a day later that Gi'Uen reached the border of Eris's world. It came unexpectedly, as most did. He could imagine Eris's look of releif and surprise as his aura was promtly gone.

Now where was he? Mountains on all sides, and a bloody battle, desperately futile, ending not more than half a mile in front of him. He stepped forward carefully, trying not to trip on the rough terrain. Suddenly, a giant of a man was running at unimaginable speeds toward him.

His first instinct was to think of him as this reality's master, but what if this was what some people looked like here?

The huge man stopped abruptly five feet away from him. "What trickery is this?"

OOC: Just doing my own thing, I guess. >_>

She flipped backwards, her body soaring across the vast arena. The android followed, its lifeless eyes tracking Eris's every move with a machine's emotion-free precision. A second later, Eris felt herself slam into the wall; it shattered at her back, leaving an ugly crater. Determined not to use her powers, she twisted her body within the android's grip, aiming a powerful kick at its seemingly human chest.

It staggered back, its perfect balance thrown off by the blow, and Eris whirled around to attack it from behind. She crouched low as the robot turned, then extended into a near-handstand to let her feet strike it in the face. With a lonely-sounding creak, the android tumbled to the ground.

"Damn cheap models."

But if you break free, and you travel far enough, you can skip to another's universe.

Scowling, she seized an energy knife and flicked its switch to "on." It began humming in her hands, its blade vibrating too rapidly for human eyes to see. As Gi'Uen's words echoed in her mind, Eris swung her weapon towards the fallen android. It sliced smoothly through the robot's neck, piercing past artificial skin and intricately twisted wires to sever its gleaming spinal cord.

But if you break free...

"Screw it all," she muttered softly. "Let it go, Eris."

The man had appeared suddenly. Had he not just breated a bloodbath, the man would not have stood out. He did, for he was the only living thing other than himself in Cierno'Fal. He wiped the blunts of his hammer off slowly and delicately, watching the man stuble acros the unknown terrain. He tried to will him away. He had heard rumors of small incidents of the subconcious mind manifesting itself in ones world. He had heard, but never thought it would happen to him. Ei'Riet clipped the hammer onto his back and ran at the man, closing the gap in seconds.

Ei'Riet- "What trickery is this?" His eyes pulsed a deep mencaing red. "Who are you and what buisiness do you have in my world?" He gripped the handle of his hammer with one hand, preparing for a fight if neccesary.

OOC: that's the spirit!

IC: He was definately intimidating, but he wasn't sure how he should answer... if he was the maker of this reality, then it would be wise to tell the truth, but if he wasn't...

"A am Gi'Uen, a traveller."

"And how have you come here?" The man was growing more suspicious.

"Are you the creator?"

"What?"

"Are you... the creator?" Gi'Uen prayed it would not end here...

"Hmm... indeed I am, now who are you and how have you come here?" He seemed, at least, to understand now that Gi'Uen was not part of his reality.

"I told you, I am Gi'Uen, and I have come here from another world, broken free of my machine prison. I am here only to ask if you will join me, if not, then I will leave without bother."

Ei'Riet- "A traveller." He walked around the man. He was far smaller than himself, and seemingly afraid. His body reeked the sour yellow smell of fear. "Broken from your machine?" The man nodded, shivering a little. "Truely?" He stopped back in front of the man, eyes still pulsing.

Gi'Uen- "Yes, I swear..." Ei'Riet moved with breakneck speed, un-harnessing his hammer and swinging it through the air causing it to crackle with friction. The hammer stopped mere centimeters from his face, a rush of hot air pushing the mans hair around his head. He stumbled backward, falling on his bottom, the hammer already in front of his face for almost a full second before he had registered its arrival. "I swear!!" Ei'Riet re-clipped his hammer, and walked to the fallen man.

Ei'Riet- "And what is it you wish again?" He extended a three digited hand toward the man and helped him to his feet.

Gi'Uen- "I would like your help." He motioned for the new arrival to follow him into the bloodstained saltflats.

Ei'Riet- "And why should I help you. Enlighten me and I might lend my aid." His eyes turned a pale blue as he began walking with the man.

"Fine... a time ago, I'm not sure how long, I was ripped rom my machine, though I don't know how." Ei'Riet looked down at Gi'Uen. "I was confused, but there seemed to be only one direction to go, so I followed it. I saw things that the Seeker never intended us to see. I will tell you this later perhaps... but now I have retreated into this network of realities... I seek anyone willing to help me."

"And just what is it you intend to do?"

"I'm not sure... but I must stop the Seeker... or hinder him somehow... I don't know."

OOC: alright Knight, it's your call... follow or betray?

(Arvuti is sitting on a bed in a hotel suite. He has a laptop computer on his lap)

Arvuti: (Thinking) I'll never cease to be amazed by this place. The world is amazing enough, but the really mind-boggleing part is the approximation of others. It's impossible to concieve of how this is possible. There's even a fully functional Internet, not to mention technological advancments, like the wireless connection. I really wish I knew just why that Seeker guy is doing this, not to mention how he found the technology to do it. (A popup window appears on the screen. Arvuti reads the text in it aloud to himself) "Be on your guard. One who would end this is coming. He will come to you at some point. He is a threat to all of this. If you see him, get rid of him." What the hell? (He tries to trace the message to find out who sent it, but he finds nothing) All right, then. I'll have to be at my best for this, because whoever's doing this is good. But I won't take the easy way out. I never have with stuff like this, and I never will. (He runs a seiries of programs, all of which return no information) Okay, there's only one possible answer to this. None of my programs have even found a connection. They've found nothing, not even the recipt of the message. It was inserted directly, which means it could only have come from one source. Reality. But why? And how? Is it a deliberate message, or some kind of glitch? What the hell is going on?
