"Sometimes I look into the mirror, and look within my very own eyes. At times I believe I can see the true me looking back from that world behind that crystal surface. What is beyond it though? I wish to go to the otherside, and see what is there. Though it seems that world I wish to see always evades my grasp." Fingers clasped around something that seemingly wasn't there, a snatching movement it seemed to be grapsing something that was unseeable.

Hand unfolding to show palm before those rich green eyes. Then that something was revealed. The single petal of a white flower of silken material rested within the center of the hand. That head tilting to the side as hand waved in opposing direction to send the petal floating to the ground so it settled amongst the grass on the ground.

"I dream of the day I will be free from my prison. The day I can be awoken, and to break free to the other side, but until that day I wait. One day I will be let loose from this empty prison, this realm without light. No one will stop me then."

Smirk fell on crimson colored lips as the smile cracked along that pale face. Eyes of green gaining a more devilish finesse to them.

"Which shouldn't be to far away."

1. No one is all powerful, and no one can be the most powerful of all characters. The eight are to work together.
2. Just because the members work together doesn't mean they like one another. Add some taste to the RP by making the characters hold grudges, and the like.
3. No one liners. Must be descriptive to a modest degree.
4. If I see it necessary to boot you from the RP I will.
5. All Characters are Human, and can die. Ressurection capabilities are beyond all might. If some char gets killed, they get killed.

A young girl sat, knelt in front of an altar. Her eyes were closed and her long, flowing, raven black hair flowed down her back. She wore robes of white that symbolised her purity, she wore them whenever she served in the temple. Her hands looked as if they cupped an imaginary ball, her elbows pointing out horizontally to each other in a traditional prayer(It looks like the Yevon Prayer from FFX). As she finished, she opened her soft, blue eyes and stood slowly. She had been praying for two hours. She was required to do so everyday. She picked up a torch from a holder(Olden day type!) and held it over the wood that sat a top the stone altar.

"So mote it be." she whispered, sealing the prayer, as she touched the flames of the torch to the fueled wood. The wood burst into flames and she replaced the torch in it's holder. The girl stood above the fire for some time. She redish, orange glow reflected onto her pale skin. She did the prayer sign again and turned to exit the empty chamber.

She walked along the halls of the Temple. She served there everyday, being of special birth, being a Nightengale, the oldest of her parents' childen. She saw one of the priests and did the prayer.

"Has all been done as usual, Sakura?" he addressed her.
"Yes, I always fulfil the duties of the Temple and the gods." Sakura said, without emotion.
"Very well." the priest said, he walked away to do the other things in the temple.

Sakura checked the time. It was 10 o'clock in the morning. She sighed and continued with the duties of the temple. At 1 o'clock in the afternoon, she left the temple. She squinted in the bright sunlight as the temple only went by fire-light and torches. She walked through the town as she headed for home to change out of her robes. She fingered the locket around her neck. It was in the shape of a silver, sakura blossom on a fine, silver chain. Sakura walked up the driveway to her house and through the door. She slipped her shoes off and slid across the wooden floorboards that covered her house. Sakura wondered why the Temple didn't believe in lights and natural sunlight. It was the modern days but they still wanted to stick to old traditions.

She trod upstairs and into her room. She was greeted with loud yips. Sakura smiled and petted the cinnamon coloured wolf cub that sat on her bed.

"Did you miss me Mocca?" Sakura said tickling his favourite spots.

It barked in response. Sakura just smiled and changed....

OCC: Whee! It started! (so anyone who didn't read my bio, my character is basicly losing his sanity in this part :( )

IC: Narhc had stopped here for the night with Kalik, so they could rest up before continuing the rest of the way to the next town. It was almost noon and they had only ment to leave at sunrise, but it was difficult to travel in this state.
Kalik, who was used to the weekly or monthly routine, layed patiently by his master's side with his snout gently resting on his hand.
Sweat dripped from the side of Narhc's face, but he couldn't feel it. A large gust of breeze shook the trees and the leaves along the forest floor, he couldn't see it. Narhc's eyes were almost completely white and would only blink about once an hour or so; If you were to look into his eyes you would see wasteland and miles of desert and glowing orbes floating in the air aluminating the sky.

Suddenly, Kalik jumped away from Narhc as he jumped up and started to stagger forward, his eyes were now shealed shut, his hands were clutching the sides of his head in pain, and words ran out of his mouth:

From the torrent, or the fountain,
From the red cliff of the mountain,
From the sun that round me rolled
In its autumn tint of gold,
From the lightning in the sky
As it passed me flying by,
From the thunder and the storm,
And the cloud that took the form
When the rest of Heaven was blue
Of a demon in my view.

Narhc's eyes opened and they were the normal dark green color once again. He wiped the back of his palm across his forehead and felt the cold sweat. He looked down to see Kalik, the loyal fox looking very concerned as it sat by his side on the floor of the forest.
"C- Cummon', let's get going." Narhc said stuttering with a smile. "That town isn't going to come to us." Narhc walked over to the tree he had been leaning against and picked up the oak staff, he then turned and started to walk down the dusty old path with Kalik close behind.

"I'v never said something like that before."

Matrim traveled through the long forest pathway. His feet making a loud knock on the hard dirt. Drako, his water serpeant, leaped from Matrim's shoulder to his head. It got in just the right sleeping position like a cat would and finally curled up and fell asleep. Finally, his 5 days walk hade payed off. Matrim saw a sign. "Jupe >" it said. He quickly ran the pathway looking for the town. He was starved, and so was Drako. So contiuing the running, his saw a large wooden gate. He walked up to it calmly and knocked. A smill slit in the gate opened where he saw some eyes.

"Who be there?" the Gatekeeper said.

"Just a traveler." replied Matt, calmly. He didn't want to alarm anyone... or get chased out of town by hunting dogs.

The large gate opened with a long creaking noise and finally a big bang when it hit the side walls. Matrim walked through and heard the gate close behind him. It was about 2:00 in the afternoon and he still hadn't had anything to eat this day. He saw a large butcher shop. No more meat for me, right now. He kept walking and saw nothing that would give him food for the amount of money he had. Maybe he should go back to the butcher shop? No. He figured it would be just as well as walking up to a house.

So he did. He walked a stone pathway and came to three stone stairs. Climbing them he walked on a porch and rung the doorbell. He heard soemone say "Coming!". Finally the door swung open and a girl was standing there with a dog.

"Um.. do I know you?" she said, confused.

"No. I know you are probably very confused but I really need something to eat. I've been travelling for five days with barely anything to live off and both me and Drako are starved." He said pointing to his Dragon.

"I see.. well... I guess it wouldn't hurt to come in." she said turning around leaving the door open. Matt figured he was to walk in and so he did, closing the door behind him.

Sakura had just changed into her white, spaghetti strap top and her blue shorts when the doorbell rang. Sakura was confused and ran downstairs shouting "Coming!"

Mocca bounded down the stairs behind her and sat by her as she opened the door. Sakura looked at the boy that stood in her doorway.

"Do I know you?" she asked.

He confessed that he needed food to eat. Sakura noticed the small dragon by his feet when he pointed it out. Sakura let him in and closed the door behind him.

He took off his shoes and followed her to the kitchen/dining area.

"Take a seat." Sakura said as she walked past the oak table.

The boy slowly slid into a wooden chair and looked around the room with his eyes. The dragon crawled up his leg, up his body and sat on top of the table. Mocca sat near the boy, watching him incase he was dangerous.

Sakura was grabbing things out of the fridge for his and her lunch.

"So...what's your name?" Sakura asked as she placed a pot of water on the stove to boil.

He looked up at her. "My name's Matrim, Mat for short. And that's Drako." Mat said talking about the blue dragon.
"I'm Sakura. That's Mocca." Sakura said, placing noddles into the boiling water.

Mat looked at the wolf. "What type of dog is it?" he asked, not knowing it was a wolf.
"It's a Wolf, it's still a pup though." Sakura said adding ingredients and mixing them in with the noodles.
"A wolf?!" Mat said shocked. Mocca panted and wagged it's tail happily.

Sakura turned off the heat and poured the noodles and soup into bowls. She gave a bigger bowl to Mat, remembering that he hadn't eaten for around 5 days. She poured some soup into a small bowl and pulled a chunk of bread off the loaf and set it in front of the dragon.

"Tanku." it mumbled. Sakura noticed that it was a baby and that it had probably meant thankyou. Sakura smiled and patted it softly.

Sakura set Mocca's bowls in front of him. There was water and meat. Sakura set the bowls on the table and put out utensils to eat with and put some sliced bread on a plate and placed it between them. Sakura slid into the seat opposite of Mat and did the prayer. She blessed the food and then they ate.

Sakura watched as Mat ate hungrily. Sakura turned back to her food, she ate daintily and carefully. When he had finished several bowls he gave up. Sakura took the bowls to the sink and washed them. She took Mocca and Drako's bowls away to before leading Mat to the living room to talk.

Jerith growled lightly under his breath as he perched upon the roof of an apartment building. A soft wind picked up and buffeted him slightly, his long blonde hair dancing about his face on the breeze. Running a hand across his face he leant on one of his knees and stared out across the city. Twisting the silver ring that adorned his thumb he sighed heavily as he remembered the conversation he had with his mentor earlier in the day.

"Ah Jerith my boy! I trust you slept well?" Kyle Lodovicco, leader of the Mercenaries Guild greeted the man who strode down the stairs of the headquarters building.

Bowing to the older man Jerith smirked nodding.

"All the more with the haul brought in last night Sir." Chuckling Lodovicco clapped Jerith on the shoulder and guided him to a seat.

"I have another mission for you boy...a big 'un. This un's special so pay attention."

Jerith leant forward attentivley, a small from creasing his forehead. Lodovicco stood and cross the room to pour himself a glass of brandy, offering it to the other man. When Jerith shook his head Lodovicco shrugged and drank it himself, pouring another before sitting once more.

"A client of ours has specified of a job they'd like done. It requires someone of your...particular talents."

Jerith smiled slightly at the complement but didn't interrupt his speaking mentor.

"You've heard of the Nightingale Temple that resides within our fair city? Well our client wishes for you to procure a certain object from it. It's not difficult to find, you'll find it upon the altar according to our intel." Lodovicco sipped his brandy breifly before looking once mroe at Jerith with an expectant look. "So...do I have your cooperation?"

Jerith's frown deepend. The Nightingale Temple? He shuddered slightly as he thought of the place. Elementalists dwelt there, magic users. Gritting his teeth he looked up at his master, who knew how much he hated and fear magic.

"Well?" His masters tone grew more impationed, the look in his eyes suggesting that refusal was not an option. Bowing his head Jerith stood and knelt before Lodovicco, taking his hand and kissing the gold crest upon his finger.

"I will do as you command sir and honour the guild with my success. Lodovicco rested his hand upon Jerith's head, urging him to rise.

"Good my boy, you shall leave as soon as you are ready." With a wave of his hand he dismissed Jerith who strode from the room, bowing briefly at the door before closing it, leaving his master alone.

Staring across the street at the Temple, Jerith sighed again. His master could be harsh, but he believed that whatever Lodovicco decided was for the best. Jumping down to the fires escape Jerith latched onto the iron ladders and decended to the ground, glancing about for any passers by. Nodding his satisfaction he made his way towards the temple making sure to remain under cover.

OOC: Thanks for making my post color black, Ohkami. I don't know how to change text color.

-------------------------------------

(Lighuen and Valo arrive in an Elementalist town, Jupe. They're in an eighteen-wheeler. Although they don't like the environmental effects, they have to act like they don't care so that people don't suspect them. They're traveling as merchants, complete with goods to sell, but are really informing various elementalist groups of realist activities)

Valo: Who are we looking for here?

Lighuen: We're looking for the Nightengale family. They're with the church, or whatever they call it. I have to remember to ask someone one of these days.

Valo: Why them?

Lighuen: Because they're who I was told to find. I don't know why, but it probably has something to do with their church affiliation. (He pulls the vehicle over and stops in front of Sakura's house) This is the place. Let's go. (The two of them exit the vehicle. As they're walking to the door, Valo stops) What's wrong?

Valo: I saw someone heading toward that temple. Whoever it is didn't want to be seen.

Lighuen: I didn't see anything, but you do seem to have abnormally good night vision. What do you think we should do?

Valo: If whoever that was doesn't want to be seen, then he or she is certainly up to no good. Even worse, the person's heading toward the temple. Someone needs to be told, but by the time help arrives, it could be too late. But I know, and you know. You stay here. Tell the Nightengales what's going on. I'll go after that person. Don't worry, I can take care of myself. (He runs off after Jerith as Lighuen knocks on the Nightengale house's door)

Reaching the temple Jerith hoisted himself into a nearby tree, his presence only signalled by the soft rustle of the occasional leaf as he made his way through the branches. Reaching a particularly high hanging branch he grasped it solidly and levered himself onto the roof of the temple over which the branch grew. Dropping silently to the tiled roof he crouched low, glancing warily around him in the failing light. Lying flat he traversed the rooftop on his belly, dragging himself forward with his elbows and knees. Reaching the skylight to the temple he reached into the satchel that hung from his belt, removing a thin blade and wire. Inserting the blade he looped the thin wire into the hole of the window lock. Hearing a small click he flicked the blade forwards, unhooking the latch and opening the skylight. Glancing around himself oncemore he leant over the edge of the window and peered forward.

The room was dark, the only light that shone was from the prayer candles and torch lit near the alter. Grasping the frame of the window he fell forward, hitting the floor with a roll. Coming to his feet he looked up sharply, intent on making sure that noone stirred. Satisfied with his entrance he padded forward quietly, the gloves that covered his hands making the skin itch. Searching in the gloom he spotted the altar that dominated the front of the hall. A large golden Nightingale perch ontop of it, it's sapphire eyes glinting in the lamp light. Held in it's beak was a silvery looking device. Upon closer inspection he determined that it was a musical instrument of some kind, a flute if he was not mistaken. frowning he looked about the hall again.

Surely this was not what his master had sent him to retrieve...a mere flute? Shrugging slightly he reached forward, for he had learned long ago not to question his Lodovicco, or the clients he held in so high regard. Grasping the flute he slowly withdrew it from the bird's golden beak, a faint grinding sound permeating the air as the two metals slid across one another.

(Valo had seen Jerith climb onto the temple's roof. Having been in a temple before, Valo knows that the place most likely to hold something worth stealing is the centrl hall, where the alter is. He runs through the front door and through the temple to the central hall as fast as he can. When he gets there, he sees Jerith finish removing the flute. Valo keeps his poles strapped to his back, and he now draws them)

Valo: Stop right there, theif! (Jerith freezes) Now turn around.

(Jerith doesn't move)

Jerith: Who are you?

Valo: I don't think I should tell you. (Jerith tries to silently slip past Valo in the darkness, not knowing that Valo can see him until Valo moves over and blocks his path) And you can forget about giving me the slip. Unlike you, I can see perfectly well in here. Now, why don't you put back that flute you stole and leave. Either that, or we fight. Your choice.

Rolling his eyes Jerith clenched his teeth and stored the precious flute in a compartment within his jacket. Glaring at the intruder he sneered contemptably. Lodovicco would not be pleased if he returned empty handed. Not pleased at all.

"I don't have time for you." Reaching behind him Jerith withdrew the sword sheathed at his back and lunged forward, at a disadvantage in the gloom. The ringing sound of clashing steel echoed throughout the hall as blade met staff. Lashing out with a clenched fist Jerith caught the man hard across the cheek sending him reeling back. Using his advantage Jerith sought to evade his opponent, making his way to the exit. Sprinting swiftly forward he suddenly found himself airborne as a lithe foot caught him as he passed, tripping him forward.

Falling heavily to the ground Jerith let out a cry as the flute came loose from his jacket and went skittering across the floor. Attempting to get to his feet his eyes widened as he saw the fighter kneel down and grasp the flute, standing back and watching jerith scramble to his feet.

"It's mine now theif!" The hero's voice was bold as he shouted. Letting out a strangled cry Jerith unholstered his 9mm pistol and leveled it at the man. The air suddenly grew chill.

"Then I'll have to prise it from your cold dead hands, pretty boy!"

OOC: Just as a side note, I don't leave the Nightengale Flute at the Temple. It stays with me, but I can do something....

The flute is like the one in the link, but shorter. It's made of crystal and can't break.

Sakura was talking to Mat in the living room when someone knocked on the door. Sakura excused herself and went to open the door with Mocca following her.

She swung open the door and saw the man.

"Hello....--" Sakura started, then she ran out of the house with Mocca at her heels.

"I'm sorry!" Sakura called behind her as she ran furiously.

Mat grabbed Drako and closed the door before running off after Sakura.

Sakura ran towards the temple. She had a connection to the Nightengale family's ancient item. Someone, other than the priests at the temple had touched the Nightengale Flute. The priests had asked her if they could borrow the Flute for the night and she could get it the next morning when she went for the usual prayer. Sakura had agreed.

Sakura knew it had been removed from it's holder. She let out a loud bird call, the call of a Nightengale.

Inside the temple, the golden Nightengale holder moved. It stretched it's wings and pushed off from the pedestal it was standing on, it's sapphire eyes bright.

Sakura saw the flash of gold, reflected from the moonlight and saw two figures on the roof. Mocca barked angrily beside her.

The figures looked to see Sakura on the ground and noticed the golden Nightengale headed for them. Sakura ran to the building and scaled it skilfully. She had Mocca under one arm. She lifted him to the roof before climbing on top herself.

"Stop!" Sakura called loudly.

The golden Nightengale still circled the figures.

"Who are you! What business do you have here, and more importantly....Who has my flute?!" Sakura asked angrily.

Neither talked. Sakura whistled like a nightengale as she spoke to the golden bird. It flapped around before zipping into one of their coats and emerging just as quickly with the flute in it's mouth. It flew to Sakura and dropped the flute in her hand and perched on her shoulder.

Sakura moistened her lips and lifted the flute. The two figures looked at her strangely, why would she want to play music at a time like this. Until they felt it....Sakura played a song and soon the figures doubled over in pain and couldn't move. She took the flute away and tucked it into her pocket. Sakura thanked the golden bird and watched it leave.

Sakura grabbed a hand of each of the paralysed men and Mocca grabbed hold of Sakura's laces of her shoes. Sakura played a few notes and they disappeared.

They re-appeared at the house. She remembered the ther man and opened the door, he was still there. Sakura apologised and let him in and invited him to sit in the living room where the paralysed men were. Sakura was about to close the door when Mat came running back panting. He entered and went to the living room too.

Sakura glared at them angrily.

"You're not going anywhere until I get all the answers I want out of you." Sakura said, they couldn't move a muscle or talk at the moment, she decided she'd question them later.

The two people lay on the floorboards as Mat, Sakura and the other man sat on the sofa and started talking.

Narhc heard the slam of a door and low murmers of talking, he opened his eyes and noticed that Kalik was awake and standing guard while narhc tried to take a small nap, he always felt so tired after slipping from reality. They had only arrived at the town about half an hour ago, heading into the town they stopped by a cozy looking house to take a rest. Narhc didn't even try to ask for a spare room in any house or hotel, from experiance, not very many people allowed those like himself into their homes for rest, even hotels would lie that they had no room (it wasn't like he could afford one anyway). Narhc didn't mind though, that's what it was like when you're raised in a village that lives like the olden times.

Narhc could hear the murmers coming from the house, it seemed to be the room right next to him. Narhc looked up to see a window opened, he hadn't really noticed it until now, instead of just wondering, Narhc started to listen in on what the people were saying.
After listening for just a few moments, narhc came to the idea that two people were being questioned for some kind of crime.
Being the curious thing he was, Narhc silently rose to his feet and peared into the window to get a glimps of anything, of course, while rising he cracked a twig...

Narhc had a view of the room now, for everyones eyes had turned toward the window and their eyes were now upon him. Two men seemed to be coiled on the floor, and on the other room was a boy around Narhc's age and a very pretty girl. Narhc would have usually run off at that point, not wanting to cause trouble, but, he just had to meet her...

Sakura stopped her talking when she noticed someone looking through the open window. Sakura excused herself and stood. She opened the door and crept out.

"Hello?" Sakura called softly, in her musical voice. Her raven coloured hair flew behind her with the wind. Her soft blue eyes searched the dark until she some movement.

"It's alright...I won't hurt you...My name's Sakura." she said to the shadows.

A boy emerged. Sakura smiled and looked at him.

"Come in...It's going to be cold tonight." Sakura said opening the door. He shyly moved over and through the door.

Sakura closed the door behind her and took him to the living room where everyone else was and started to try to talk to him.

"What the heck am I doing?" Narhc asked himself as everyone just seemed to stare at him. The Sakura girl took a seat and motioned for him to sit as well. He hadn't really been paying attention, so she spoke to him.
"Here, take a seat." Her soft voice rang out. Narhc felt his face turn red. He shuffled his feet slightly and glanced at the other side of the room nervously.

"I'm sorry... I didn't mean to snoop... I was just... trying to.... sleep..." Narhc mumbled the words, his hand reached to the back of his belt and he began to randomly slide pieces of his puzzle box.. He probably looked like such an idiot standing there saying he was sleeping on the other side of someones house. "I... er... heard voices... and..." Before Narhc could finish he remembered that he had left Kalik outside all alone. Narhc glanced around the room to see if he come in, even though he knew he hadn't.

Narhc made a quick bow in appology. "I'm very sorry for the interuption." Narhc raised his head and looked at the girl before turning and heading for the door. "I'll just be on my w-" But before he went any further, the girl had grabbed his arm and led him beck to the room.

"Please stay." Sakura said. "Something tells me that you need to be here." For some reason, Narhc felt she was right and took a seat.

Lighuen: Well, I guess I don't need to tell you anything.

Sakura: You knew?

Lighuen: That's Valo. (He indicates Valo) I found him when he was only about a year old. He's my adopted son. We came here because we were told that this is the Nightengale household. Is it?

Sakura: Yes. My name is Sakura Nightengale.

Lighuen: I'm Lighuen. My official job is a merchant, but I'm really with what we call the Industrial Resistance. Valo and I are against most technological "advances", and we provide information to those like you. We were about to knock when Valo saw someone-he has unusually good night vision-who I'm assuming is this other person. Valo guessed that this other man was going to steal something from the Temple, so he told me to tell you while he chased after the theif.

Sakura: If that's true, why was he the one with the flute?

Lighuen: He was trying to stop the theif. He probably did, and took the flute from him. Please, you must not hurt him. He only wanted to help.

Sakura: I don't know. (She notices the Solas) What's that around his neck?

Lighuen: That was the only thing with him when I found him. He never takes it off. He calls it the Solas. Why? Is it important?

Sakura: I believe so. For one thing, it means he's quite likely innocent. How old is Valo now?

Lighuen: Seventeen, I believe. I don't know his exact date of birth, but the doctors told me his age when I found him, and we celebrate his birthday on that day. Why?

Sakura: Because the Solas went missing around sixteen years ago. That would be about the time when you found him. Lighuen, I believe you. Valo isn't the guilty one. The Solas prooves it.

Lighuen: You must explain what that thing is sometime. Not now, though. We must question the real theif first. But before that, you should release Valo, scince you now know he was trying to stop the theif. He did nothing wrong, so there is no reason to restrain him. Please, release him.

"Yes, Of course." Sakura said as she played a releasing spell with her flute.

Valo found that he could move and stretched his sore muscles.

"I'm sorry, I can never be too careful. Thankyou for helping to save my flute. It's been in my family for many generations. Since one of my ancestors made it." Sakura said apologising to Valo.
"It's alright.." Valo said getting up weakly and sliding into a chair.

Sakura looked down at the thief. She played a spell that only released his mouth so he could talk, the rest of his body was still paralysed.

"Who are you?!" Sakura demanded. He stayed quiet.
"Answer me!" Sakura said raising her voice.
"Jerith." he muttered.
"Why were you trying to steal my flute?"
"Valuable." he muttered again.
"You were going to sell it?! This is priceless! I can't believe you. And to think you've done this to other unsuspecting people." Sakura said in disgust.

Jerith just looked at her and smirked.

Sakura turned away angrily and looked at the others here.

"You're all welcome to stay. My parents will be back tomorrow night, they'll be happy to let you stay." Sakura offered.

Sakura's house was big with lots of un-used bedrooms so there was lots of space for them to stay.

Lighuen: Valo, is there something you haven't told me?

Valo: Yes.

Lighuen: What?

Valo: I can't tell you. Not here. If the wrong person heard, I would dissapear. Death would be preferrable to my fate if that were to happen.

Lighuen: Valo, what the hell are you hiding from me?

Valo: I'm not. It's in plain sight.

Lighuen: The Solas.

Valo: Yes.

Lighuen: What is it?

Valo: I don't know. What I do know is what it does, or rather, allows me to do.

Lighuen: The night vision?

Valo: You're quick. Yes, that's one effect. There are several others, but I will say no more here. Sakura, we need a safe place to talk. One where there's absolutly no chance of someone overhearing us. Do you know of a place like that?

Sakura looked at Valo. He was serious.

"Yes. I know the perfect place." Sakura said.

Sakura walked towards the door. She thought and made a cage of trees and roots around him and stopped his mouth again.

"He'll be safe. He can't get out." Sakura said going to the door.

They left the house and Sakura locked it and chanted a spell that made the building glow for a second before turning usual.

"It's a sealing charm, no one can get in or out. We have to be careful." Sakura said seeing Valo's confused expression.

Sakura led them through the city. It was lit by street lamps. Sakura walked through the streets and walked towards the temple. The doors were unlocked so Sakura pushed and they swung open.

She led them through and through halls and passages and doors until they came to a large wall made of marble.

Valo looked at her strangely. "Here?"
"No." Sakura walked up to the wall and placed her palm on it. She closed her eyes and muttered something that no one could understand. Three keyholes appeared on the wall. Sakura reached into her pocket and withdrew three keys. One Gold, one Silver and one made of Crystal. The keyholes were placed in a triangular pattern. She placed the gold key in the bottom left keyhole, the silver in the bottom right and finally the crystal in the top one. Then she brought out her flute. She played a mysterious tune and the three keys turned right at the same time. The keys returned to Sakura as she finished and the wall split in two and slid open.

Sakura let them walk in and followed them. It slammed shut behind them. They were in a beautiful room. There were sofas of velvet situated around and a fire place. The floor was wooden with rugs on it.

"No one can here us in here." Sakura said.

While Sakura and the other two men had gone, Narhc and the other boy, who he now knew was called Mat, were left to roam the house as they pleased, but neither of them had left the room where they had questioned the thief. It had all been a bit confussing to what Narhc heard, but he had caught on to what was happening, the flute was a very amazing gift, his staff was similar in a way.
Narhc glanced out of the corner of his eye to see Mat and the small dragon standing where they were. Narhc stood and made a short, high-pitched whistle. Mat glanced over at him, woundering what he was doing, just then, Kalik jumped through the open window with the staff clenched in his mouth. He scurried over to Narhc, who took the staff from him, he then lept onto Narhc's shoulder and started to "inspect" the room.

Mat walked over to Narhc and made a nice smile. "Hey, I don't think we were properly introduced." He started and picked up the little lizard thing, "I'm Matrim, but you can call me Mat, and this is my friend Draco." He pointed at the little dragon who blinked, seeming to recognize its name. "I don't think I caught your name..." Mat said with curiousity. Narhc had made such an odd and quick appearance, no one had caught who he was or why he was there.

Narhc grinned, "I'm Narhc, Narhc Boyd to be correct. This is my partner Kalik, Don't mind him, he shows off alot..." Narhc took the staff in his hand and latched it onto his back.
"I guess you arn't so shy after all." Mat said with a slight laugh.
Narhc made an odd smile as he pulled Kalik from his shoulder and placed him on the floor.

"Only around sertain girls..."

Jerith sat, unmoving on the floor of the room, his face impassive as he stared at the wall in front of him. How stupid he was to get caught, and now he was trapped, like an animal by these freaks and their pets. He could imagine the look on Lodovicco's face now when he heard the news that his favourite little pupil had been taken out by a group of Magic weilders. If he had the power of movement he would have growled.

Looks like the flute was precious after all, maybe Lodovicco had a plan after all. Of course now that it was lost Lodovicco would want nothing more to do with him, he'd be lucky if a bounty wasn't placed on his head. Of course that would mean nothing if these elementalist freaks snuffed his life out right here.

Looking around at his surroundings Jerith made a mental sneer at the cage of branches and vines. Just give him his gun and all this loving nature crap would be sawdust on the floor. God how he hated magic.

Lighuen: All right. Now, what's the big deal with that Solas thing?

Valo: I don't know what it is, but I do know what it does. It gives me certain powers, all of which involve light. The vision is one. I can see perfectly well in any level of light. I can also light up an area to a certain extent, and also create short bursts of light. I can use lighe energy as a weapon, too. That abillity's limited in the dark to the energy I have, but when I'm in the light, I can draw the energy from it. there's one other thing, too. Remember that Predator movie?

Lighuen: Yes. TV and movies are among the few "high-tech" things that I like.

Valo: Me, too. Well, remember how the Predator was invisable, more or less? You could kind of see it when it moved, but it was just like an outline? I can do that when I'm in the light.

Lighuen: But... how is that possible? What is that thing?

Valo: I don't know. Maybe Sakura does.

"Only around certain girls..."

"Huh? Oh. OH! Oh-ho ho! I get it! Wow. Interesting..." said Mat.

"If you say so." replied Narhc. Mat paced a few seconds and walked in circles thinking. I wonder if it'd be rude to find something to do here?.

"I'm gonna go find something 'fun' to do. You with me?" Mat asked Narhc. He shrugged and got up from a couch he was sitting on. The two eventually found a door and opened it to find it led to a basement. They crept down the stairs. There was one bedroom there too and a pile of magazines and stuff. The Narhc went left down a hallway finding the root cellar and Mat went right down the hallway finding a bathroom. With a flush, Mat left the bathroom to find Narhc eating some more food.

"Save some for me, man.." said Mat as he started digging in aswell.

"You want some Drako?" Mat asked his little Serpeant. It was still a baby so it could barely talk.. but Mat could understand.

"A-bah." it replied. Which probably meant something along the lines of "No thanks."

"OK, suit yourself." said Mat "More for me."

After a while of eating Mat decided it was time to get a small nap. Setting the alarm for 2 hours later, Mat fell asleep on the bed forgetting to even put the covers over himself. Narhc then went upstairs to do whatever he was gonna do.

Sakura listened intently. She listened until they asked for her opinion. She was deep in thought when Valo's voice broke through her train of thoughts.

"Do you know, Sakura?" he asked her, hoping she knew.

Sakura walked up to Valo and touched the strange pendant. It glowed and Sakura let go.

"My thoughts are that it's a magical device of some sort. As I said earlier, the Solas went missing around the same time you found Valo. I'm thinking that perhaps the Solas were attracted to Valo and they latched onto him. Valo says he knows nothing of his past before you found him so perhaps it blanked out his memory. But I'm wondering, what was in those memories? There may have been something, some what important in them. But all I know is that the Solas are magical devices that give Valo his Light Powers because I felt the power radiating out of the Solas, not out of Valo himself like myself and Mat and the other boy. The thief however has no powers whatsoever." Sakura explained.

Valo and Lighuen had listened carefully to Sakura's thoughts and nodded in agreement.

Sakura looked to them. They were both thinking hard. Sakura let them have their time as it was quite a lot to take in. She looked intently at Valo.

'It must be hard for him, having lost all of his memories.' Sakura thought silently as she waited.

Feeling the cool breeze across her face, the gentle light illuminating the streets below, Angel stood watching those below her as she stood atop a high building. She could sense those with powers all around her. The Anarche Shuriken's emblem glowing a bright white as the powers grew stronger and more. Angel needed to get to this power.

Leaping off of the building and down to the street, she walked down the street in search of those who wielded power. She wasn't searching for friends or anyone to be comforted from, but she was in search of knowing who wields what power. She was searching for the girl that runs in her dreams.

The emblem grew brighter as she passed by a certain wall. She stopped and looked to it. It was vaguely familiar, but nonetheless, the emblem was glowing brightly and a beam had shot to it. It was blocked by another power, whom Angel believed could feel a presense.

Within the wall, something stirred and Angel stepped into the shadow, covering herself from view. She felt a presence before her, within the wall. She knew someone was there.

"I'll find out sooner or later. Better sooner than later, right Diablo?"

[Yes.]

Out of nowhere two creatures had emerged from the shadow and appeared by Angel's side. A black wolf pup and a black shape shifting dragon. They followed Angel and knew she held the power of Dark as well as the Anarche emblem, from which she grew even more power from. With them, the heirloom, and her power, she will find the girl who she sees in her dreams.

Narhc had made his way up stairs to the room that Sakura had said he would be staying in. Narhc peered inside. It looked like any other guest room. One nicely made bed and a night stand next to it. Narhc walked in, closing the door behind him, and placed his staff on the bed, along with his pouch around his belt. Kalik leaped onto the bed a curled himself into a little ball. Narhc smiled at the crazy fox and picked up the small puzzle box from the bed, heading over to the window. He was very tired from all the events from that day, but he couldn't sleep for some reason.
He opened the window and sat of the ledge and began to fiddle with the puzzle, which he had been trying to open for about 6 or 7 years now.

A few minuets into messing around with the little box, Narhc glanced down onto the street to see a figure in the shadows, followed by two smalled figures, they seemed to be heading in the direction that Sakura and the other two had been going in earlier. Silently, Narhc krept over to the bed and took up his staff, leaving his other posetions behind. He motioned for Kalik to come with him, having an idea that the smaller figures were animals.
Narhc went over to the window and looked out, the figure was still there. Silently and quickly, he scalled down the wall, he was on the second story, but it still wasn't too far from the ground.
When reaching the ground he walked behind the person for a moment and then stopped.
"Who are you and where are you going?" He asked. The figure stopped and turned around.

Ryujin walked through town with Kyo perched upon his shoulder searching the grounds for somewhere to eat. "Hey, Kyo, you spot anywhere to eat yet?" said Ryujin. Kyo responded by nodding his head and looked toward the direction in which he smelled food.

"Kyo, that's someone's home. There is no need to go to someone's house...aw man..., but it does smell really good...," said Ryojin smelling the food for himself, "I guess we can ask if we could get some food there and just pay for it."

Ryojin approached the front door and knocked to see if anyone was home, but the door was cracked open so the door opened upon his knocking. "Um, is anyone home?" No one responded and he entered the home and waited at the front door for a while so as not to be too rude. Ryujin and Kyo's stomachs growled loudly, and it was loud enough to be heard throughout the house. "That's gonna get some attention..." Ryojin said embarrassed.
