MillieFan
I think he could be considered a "conditional" weepy uke, because in certain pairings he does fit the criteria for being a weepy uke (Muraki and Tatsumi make him look very ukeish, while Hisoka and Watari do not, IMHO) So discuss. Do you think Tsuzuki is a weepy uke across the board, just with certain people, or do you think he's a strong character with flaws but not to the level of "weepy crying miserable uke?" I've even added a poll, because I want to see what you think (but I'd like to see actual discussion, not just hit and run posting or poll votes), and I apologize for any errors, but my glasses are missing, and all of this small type looks blurry to me. :D

Hayama
The plot is really cool. I love how they have offices and run the whole thing like some government agency. Demons AND office jokes! Yay! I also love Tsuzuki and Hisoka. :catgirl: I love them together and i love them individually. I love Hisoka more, though. Muraki is good looking but he's a freaking psycopath. I don't like him, especially for what he did to poor Hisoka!
SubZero Rayz
Hello! I'm a newbie here, but I thought I would present some info I happen to run across. I absoultely am in love with Yami no Matsuei, as is my friend (who strangely enough resembles Tsuzuki in appearance and in personality:animeblus ). Anyhow, I found this posted on amazon.com on someone's list of yaoi and shounen-ai titles: "While the lead characters in 'Descendants Of Darkness (Yami no Matsuei)' aren't outright gay, there's certainly plenty of affection between them! Another series with amazing artwork, and no lack of shounen-ai elements, it's a must-read for boys love fans. The series has been on an extended hiatus in Japan, but there are rumors that the mangaka may be coming out with a related side-story soon, and Viz's recent licensing could be a hopeful sign." Could it be? Our beloved Yami no Matsuei isn't going to be dead ended?? :D I can only hope and pray!
Guest ShadowFox14324
This sounds absolutely appalling! Nudity, violence, satan worshipping!? For pete's sake, what we need is another Hitler, whip you whipper-snappers up for something usefull and productive... rather than watching this ... pornography.
WTF. Have you even SEEN any of it? I have seen episodes 1-13 and not once have I seen any nudity and/or Satan worshipping. Where do you get your information? I mean, seriously... Par-Fait
The dubbing for this was a turn off and made me want to puke. >_O So I think that's why I never got much into the series. The art in the manga is pretty well done tho. When they come out with Volume 11, I'll buy it. But they'll probably edit it to death so all the good stuff is taken out. > >' Also, there's a YnM BL game thats fan-made. I'm not sure if it's still on the internet, but it was fun for an un-official thingie. :
Guest LilyBebeboo
I just watched Decendents of Darkness yesterday. I watched up until Tsuzuki and Kurosaki save Maria from the bad guy (cant remember his name). I don't know if I want to continue because maybe it gets better...maybe not. Anyone else seen this and want to voice their opinion? As for me, I liked it because it was so weird and stupid, that it was funny. Also, the story line progressed fairly quick, which I enjoyed because most anime seems so damn slow!! Anyway, help me out and if you can't remember if you've seen this one, here is a clip to refresh your memory: http://www.kaneva.com/asset/assetDetails.aspx?assetId=7276&communityId=0
Welcome to OtakuBoards LilyBebeboo, I?m moving your thread to the existing Yami no Matsuei thread for the following reason. Horendithas
I just watched Decendents of Darkness yesterday. When you say maybe it will get better I?m assuming you don?t really care for it so far? If so then watching the rest of it might not be for you. But if you enjoyed it on some level then by all means be sure to watch the rest. Right now there?s only 13 episodes total so you still have several story arch?s left to watch once the one involving Maria is done. And since there is only 13 there?s no danger of a storyline being drawn out with meaningless fillers. If you end up wanting more than that you?ll have to go to the manga as they?ve yet to make more of the overall series. In spite of that the ending is done well enough in that it doesn't leave you totally hanging. It just leaves it open since there's more to the story in the manga. Anyway, by all means, watch it. The next arch The Devil?s Trill is not my favorite but the other two are enjoyable. But then this is one of my favorite shows so my opinion is a bit biased in that respect. If you have the chance, pick up the manga and give it a read. There?s plenty of stuff going on in the manga that never made it into the anime and it?s definitely a good read.
