Art My Super Awesome Art!

Ok, maybe my art isn't super awesome, but I'd like to know what you think of it!

I'm going to put up a piccy of Sakura from CCS. She has a package in her hands that she's going to give to Yukito. (In book 2 if you have the mangas) In the original piccy I "borrowed" the pose from, she looks nervous, but when I drew it, she turned out looking sad. I liked how she looked, so I kept it.

The lines on parts of her costume are my desperate attempt at plaid. The original costume is black with plaid borders...I didn't want to color the whole thing black so I left it.

Sorry so long...You can use all the constructive criticism you want! Maybe I'll follow your advice and change it!

I'd say your art is super cute. I like it very much. The drawing is perfect. Also, I think you're right about coloring her dress black. Either light or original colors would do fine, but hey it's your choice and I respect that. It's totally cool!

Good work; maybe I'll keep practicing my drawings too.

That is a great drawing of Sakura. I really like her expression, and I'd have to say you actually did capture some of her nervousness. The only thing I thing I think you might need to work on is proportion. Her hands and arms look slightly bigger than they should be in comparison with her head. And her chest seems a little too full for a ten-year-old LOL, but the drawing overall is still quite good!

Well, here's another CCS pic for your enjoyment. It's of Li and Sakura, and again it's from the mangas. (Book 2 I believe). It's a bit light, but I like how it turned out.

Now that's totally awsome! This one has a perfect perfection of Sakura's appearance; and Li's blushing...how cute! I always love Card Capters art with Sakura and Li; they're so cute together. And, it's always funny just watching Li turn red like that.

Very cool.

Also in special note, I like your banner too. I'm a Card Capter fan.

I might suggest more attention to detail when it comes to clothes, though, they look very striaght and stiff. In the second pictures, Li's face looks practically perfect, and Sakura's is good. One problem I see if the hair- it looks like you're drawing is slowly and with small strokes. Not a good idea, really. It's better to draw it quickly with a strong, fluid line. It seems absurd to get hair right when drawing like that, but it's gets really easy with practice.[/color]

Uhh...what Sakura-chan said about her boobs. XD

It's kawai, by all standards, but I agree that the proportions are kind of out of whack. Her eyes are too big (I understand that shoujo follows this trend, but...) in comparison with the lower half of her face...it sort of makes her look lopsided. I would recomend trying to focus less on the eyes and more on the entire face as a whole--following the individual parts mentallity often leads to chopiness, from my experience.

Keep working at it--and take a jab at designing some outrageous clothing. It'll really make your work stand out! ~_^

I do have problems with clothing. I just don't get how to do wrinkles! :sweat: Practice makes perfect, right? I'll also work on my faces too! I may post a picture of Botan, from Yu Yu Hakusho, I drew as a request a little later if anyone wants to see it..
