RPG ...and so it begins.

[b][u]Let's start shall we?[/b][/u]
Matrim was the head of the party. He walked with a limp from the party's recent battle against a small party of Galka. They really bashed him up good there. He decided that the next time he saw them he would decline their request to battle. Everyone else was also kind of limping and feeling tired. The whole team really needed someone to heal but Matrim and Hayato were the only ones able to do that and they were both dead tired.

"We really need more members in our party..." said Kitty as she walked behind Mat.

"No kidding. If you find someone please tell." replied Mat. Sakura then spotted a city!

"There! Look! Maybe they can help us!" yelled Sakura as she ran toward a hill. When everyone got to the hill they looked and stopped dead. This was no city. It was a clan castle. An [i]evil[/i] clan at that. In fact this particular clan was racist against everything except Elvaan. The whole clan was made up of Dragoons and Black Mages. Very experienced. Luckily, Mat and the gang were in their territory. Ok not so lucky. There was an army of them charging forward. Mat and everyone else looked behind them to see another evil army. This one was all black Maged Tarutaru who enslaved Galka for battle. These two clans were going to war. And Mat's clan was in the middle of it... no where to run or hide. Just wait.

The armies got closer and closer. No one knew what to do. Finally with a loud blast! of a horn. The two armies ran at eachother.. and Mat's clan. Blood spattered everywhere. Mat's party ended up fighting too. Finally at the end of the battle, the Tarutaru clan had won and went to retrieve their new found castle. Mat and them had barely survived but luckily stole potions and the sort from assorted enemies. Everyone was feeling fine. But something was wrong. Everyone looked to their left to see a giant live tree charging towards them...[/color]

[Kitty]

[color=blue][size=1]Kitty quickly put her newly found items in her bag and stared and the giant, leafy creature. It were running to something. It seemed that the tree hadn't noticed the group down below. As it neared, it was obvious that it was in a hurry. The group had to scatter to avoid being stepped on.

It slowly came to a stop and turned towards Mat's clan. It shook it's leafy head as it searched for something. Mat was the first to speak. "Are you looking for us?!" he called up to the tree. It looked down and let out a sigh of relief. "There.. you are." The others stared in awe as the tree lowered itself down to it's knee.

"There you are." said the tree as it knelt down on both knees.. or roots.

"What do you wish to talk to me about?" asked Mat, wondering why someone would send such a large creature as a messenger to tell them something.

"The word of your anti-evil clan has spread very far over the lands. The King, knowing your clan will protect him as always has invited you to a recruitment get-together. Everyone will be going. Each clan gets two new members. So you must go. I must take you there."

He lowered his branches letting Mat and Sakura climb them. Kitty jumped on top and the tree lashed out a vine, wrapping it around Hayato who was struggling alot just to climb the branches since so small.
"This is where you get off. Just follow this path and you will find where you must be." said the tree as it walked off into the forest with it's fellow tree friends.

"Well you heard the thing." said Mat. He started walking, everyone following behind him.

Eventually they came to a giant building surrounded by all different kinds of shapes and sizes. The group walked inside where they saw a sign 'Annual Recruitment'.

"I guess this is where we're supposed to be. Mat walked up to a clerk and did some talking.

"Well I entered our clan name and all we have to do is wait..." said Mat as he came back.

"Cool, what'd you name our clan?" asked Sakura. Every watched Mat as he slowly opened his mouth, building the suspense.

"I named it... Clan Mat." he said. This got everyone arguing. Finally he interupted them. "I'm just kidding. It's called Clan ______"[/color]

The tree started to run off and after much travelling the group came to a forest where many other trees stared and watched intently.

IC: Kirin turned as mat said the name, something was going on. A fistfight had broken between to other adventures. He watched silently, excitement burned in his eyes though. He looked around, taking in the sights and smells. People of various races stood around, all signing up for recruitment. One stood out from the rest. It was a hume, clad in armor, a long thin, blade hung at his side. A dangerous look seemed to twinkle in his eye for a moment, then he disapered back into the crowd.

"Hey kirin!" kirin whipped around hearing mat's voice.
"Did you hear what I said? Our clan name is_______"

[font=tahoma][size=1]Kaiho walked up to the clerk who was sitting behind the desk. "My name is Alexander Roc, but I prefer Kaiho. I'm interested in joining a guild. Are there any available?" he said.

"Clan ___ is," said the clerk, sliding a piece of parchment with the clan's description on it, "You wanna join them?"

"I've heard of them... I will accept." he replied. He reached for a quill pen, and dipped it in a nearby ink well. He signed his name on a line at the bottom of the parchment. He then slid the paper back to the clerk.

"They're over there." said the clerk, motioning towards the group.

Kaiho nodded his head, and bowed lightly. "Thank you," he said, and walked towards his new clan.

Mat looked up. "Oh, hello. You must be joining us. What's your name?" he asked.

"My name is Kaiho."[/size][/font]

"My name is Kaiho." he said with a stern look.

"Well, let's see if you're worth my time. It takes guts to join this clan. Please, come with me." said Mat as he lead Kaiho and the rest of the clan to the back.

"I will give you different tests to determine if I need you or not. First the test of speed. Kitty, will you?" said Mat. The new member, Kaiho lined up with Kitty, the Hume. Mat shoted 'GO' and the two ran off. Finally the first one back was Kitty and minutes later, Kaiho showed up panting.

"Alright. Now the test of Strength. Galindor, will you?" said Mat. Just then a large Galka appeared (they look like werewolf hulks).

"Whoes this?" asked Sakura, looking at the giant beast.

"This is Galindor. Another new member. He's a gentle Galka. Don't worry." said Mat.

"Pleasent to meet you my dear." replied the Galka at the speech of his name.

Anyways, to make a long story short, many tests were given to Kaiho but in the end... Mat realized he would be useful and made the team.

"Welcome to Clan _______." said Mat.

"Since we have our two members we might aswell leave." said Hayato.

"True. Let's go." said Kitty in a sort of comlaining voice.

"Alright. Off to fight we go!" yelled Mat as everyone charged into the distance.[/size]

"Where are we going?" Kaiho asked, playing with one of his gauntlets.

"We aren't really going anywhere in particular... If we hear of any bandits or murderers, then we may chase after them. We also may try to decrease the beastmen population." Mat replied.

"We can go to the area around windurst. There's a clan of... [i]Yagudo[/i] beastmen that murder people, then collect their belongings. While we are there, we could also train a bit to hone our skills." he said anxiously.

Mat looked at Kaiho as if he suspected him of something, but dismissed it as nervousness. "We can go there, I suppose, but the monsters there may be too weak. We will be traveling far to get there, after all, and there will be many oppertunities to become stronger," said Mat.

"We can take Chocobos." Kitty put in, looking up from a bag she was stuffing with supplies.

"Those are rather costly though, and I'm not sure we should use up all our gil just for a faster ride. These are bandits, so we may as well go after 'em," the Galka punched his left palm with his fist, "Even if they're too weak."

"Alright, we could use the training anyway. Shall we go then, Mat?" Kitty asked.

Mat looked uneasy about traveling so far.

"There is also a mission that is available..." Kaiho scratched his ear, "Childrens' screams have been heard coming from the Maze of Shakrami. We could check that out, also." he added.

"I suppose we should go then." Mat said.[/size][/font]

[Gelgoog Pilot]

Zeddrick leaned heavily against the tall oak tree. He took in the vast plains stretching out until the horizon curved into the sky. He took a deep breath, letting the gentle country winds cool his face. He suddenly pricked his long ears to a sound coming from his left. A rustling, then a sound of something big trampling towards him with immpressive speed.

He turned quickly and came face to face with a infant Wryvm....It growled nastily, barring it's teeth. Three rows of them. He methodically stepped into a ready stance, sword drawn.

Movement caught his eye on his right. A small group of Humes with one Gulka. They froze in place. The Wryvm Saw them too, loudly sniffing in thier direction.

Zeddrick: GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!

It was too late the Wryvm began it's charge, without hesitation Zeddrick jabbed his sword down into the the back of the creature. It didn't even make it flinch. In Fact it drug Zeddrick along the ground, the latter refusing to release his sword.

[Swordsaint]

The entire group snapped their heads in the direction of the voice. A Wryvm was charging at them, and...a person was being dragged along behind it, his sword lodged into it's backside. The creature appeared to pay no head to it. Mat yelled
"Scatter!"

he and both the red mages, and the beastmaster darted in different directions, Kirin stood his ground drawing his sword, waiting till the creature was on top of him. He neatly sidestepped dragging his sword along the sprinting creature's left side. He generally pissed it off more than he hurt it. The beast whirled on him snapping it's powerfull jaws. Kirin barely rolled out of the way. Mat rushed back in, bellowing his war cry. The Wryvm turned to see what had made such a noise, only to find mat's sword brought down on it's face.

Kaiho rushed in, his blade bare, he slashed at the creatures tendons, hoping to slow it in some way, or at least hurt it. The others were doing their best to do so. His ears caught a chanting sound, both of the mages were chanting their spells, and were about to fire.

ooc: hope that works good's enough!

[Kitty]

[color=blue][size=1]Kitty quickly chanted and shouted, "FIRA!!" sending a large fireball hurdiling towards the Wryvm. It hit it, but only slowed it down for a few seconds. As it continued charging, she jumped out of the way.

"What the hell is up with that thing?! Nothing's doing anything!!" Kitty shouted to the others. They all shrugged, or at least tried to as they dodged out of the Wryvm's way. "That's it! I'm pissed off now!!" Kitty said to herself as she jumped at the creature. She clawed at it's eyes, making it wail around, trying to get her off.

As she flew off into a tree, the others continued their attacks. From her spot on the ground, she could see the other Red Mage firing spells, but not doing much. Kirin was attacking with his sword, also inaffective. She couldn't see Mat, but she could see a man being dragged around by the Wryvm when it turned around occasionally.

Kitty sat upright on the ground. She reached into her bag, but couldn't find anything useful for this situation. "What's Mat waiting for? He's a beastmaster, afterall! He should be able to stop this stupid thing," she told herself. "MAT!! Hurry up, would ya?!" she shouted, trying to make him hear her.

She stood up and jumped towards the Wryvm again, this time, she spotted Mat. "Well?!" she yelled at him. He looked up, starting to smile.[/color][/size]

[Gelgoog Pilot]

Zeddrick hung onto his sword as if it were his life. He began regretting this oath though, for the wryvm was twisting around constantly to face different attackers.

The group were good fighters, that was evident, however wryvms were tough and this was a baby. He mustered his strength and managed to place his now ragged boots onto the beast's back. Then he pushed down dragging the sword out of the creature's back. Instantly falling to the ground he rolled onto his feet and took several slashes and the wryvm.

Zeddrick: HEY YOU! *pointing to Matt with his sword* YOu have the look of a beast master, for if you are hurry up before the parents come looking for their babe.

[Bio]

[font=tahoma][size=1]OOC: Mat changed to paladin, if you look up at the cast section. I'll pretend you were talking to me.

"I don't know if I'm skilled enough to control this beast, but I'll try. If I don't succeed, the warrior will have to pull it off of me." Kaiho replied uneasily. He put his middle and index fingers together, then held them to his mouth. He lifted his other arm into the air, and whistled.

The creature looked over angrily, but its eyes began to lose their fiery look, and it slowly approached Kaiho, sniffing the ground. When it reached him, it sat down and looked at him protectively.

"You can kill it now if you want to, but I think it would be a good ally. What do you want to do with it? The healing process could be slow since the only healer we have is a red mage. A white mage could be costly to hire." he added.[/font][/size]

[Swordsaint]

Kirin looked at his sword then at the Wryvm.
"Personally, I'd like to kill it, damn thing notced up my blade. But...that's not up to me." He looked at Mat. Both the red mages came over, mulling over what to do about the beast. Mat shook his head.
"No. We can't kill it, not now that it's been tamed like this." Kirin sighed, disapointed.
"Right, the Paladin's code of honor. Well then! do we continue on to the windurst area?" The Galka spoke first.
"What about the Wryvm?" The group turned. each looking questioningly at the tamed creature.

[Gelgoog Pilot]

Zeddrick rose to his feet,. Having been knocked down moments before, he saw the group of fighters begin to talk about the now tame beast. Walking away silently, the could just hear the groups words. "So they are headed to windurst? What could they want there........not much goes on there anymore as I recall."

Matt: Hey! You..........I want to have a word with you. You're a paladin aren't you?

Zeddrick: Yes, but what does that have to do with anything.

Matt: Hey, take it easy. Im from Clan____. The name's Matt. What are you doing out here by yourself? Normally a paladin is in a group or some sort.

Zeddrick: *turning around now to face Matt*

Yes, normally we do.....but you see I had been tracking that wryvm's parents. I was hired onto an escort service. The adult Wryvms annihilated, the others.

*walking towards him slowly, extending his right hand* I believe this is how you Humes say hello.....My name is Zeddrick Kieler.

[color=blue][size=1]Kitty wasn't paying much attention to the paladin and Mat. All she wanted to do was inspect the wyvrm. She climbed on it's back, making it twitch, then kicked it's sides. It let out a shrill whine, then began charging quickly away from the group. Kitty was tossed around quite a bit, but she managed to hang on by grabbing the wyvrm's sides. The others were staring, but didn't want to attack, fearing they might hit the rider.

"STOP YOU STUPID THING!!" Kitty yelled. She didn't expect it to respond, but it suddenly stopped, sending her hurdeling over it's head. "Thanks a lot," Kitty said to the creature, wiping the dust off of her as she got off the ground. "Are you okay?" some of the group members shouted to her. She waved, showing she was okay. Then, out of pure annoyance, she smacked the wyvrm on it's head. It screeched, then retreated into the haven of trees.

"What'd you do that for?!" they all yelled in unison. "Relax. It'll come back," Kitty said calmly. "How do you know that?" Mat asked her, a little annoyed. "I just... well I don't, actually." She walked under a tree and sat down. Sure enough, after a couple minutes of talking between the group members (exculding Kitty), the wyvrm came back. "Now what'll we do with it? Keep it? Or should we just.. leave it here?" Kitty heard someone ask. She stayed under the tree.

"What'd I tell you...?" Kitty whispered to herself. She flipped herself up, then into the tree. She then hummed a song her mother taught her and laid down on a large tree branch.[/color][/size]
