[Darkest Moment]

[size=1]I made this banner earlier for Skedy and I posted it in the banner/request forum, but I decided that I would post it up here to see what peoples thoughts on it were. So yeah...[/size]

Wow. That is great. I love whatever that is that you put in the background. I love teh grid too. It looks gorgeous. The only thing I don't like is the right hand side, which is plain black. I don't think solid black goes at all with what you were going for. The rest of the banner is flowing and smooth, yet the black is sharp and abrubt. It offers zeero contrast to the other side. I'm not sure what would go well there. Maybe you could keep the black, but do something to it. THat plain black just looks icky. May I also add that your cropping was great. ^__^

It would be much better without the image. o.o She doesn't fit the rest of the banner atall. I like the designing on the left, but the maroon, then bright purple don't appeal to me a bit. >.< If the purple was changed to a lighter maroon, or redish it would look much better. Also the font stands out way too much. I think you should resize it and place it more off to the side, maybe even change the font altogether.

I love this! The background is amazing, but the stock image is a little badly cut on it's left side. Plus i do agree with Haze. Maybe just blend a picture into the black area? I dunno. And one more thing, on the right side of the banner, the border is a bit wierd. I don't know if it's there on purpose but i just think it looks funky :P

As for the whole banner i'll give it a 7/10.

[color=gray]The Background is excellent.
Yet, to the right is suddenly is black. I do think Samus fits the picture but the left side is too pixelish and the black to the right is a big no-no.

Apart from the negative things i think the banner is really nice and I really would love to see more of you ^_^
