In the past, I?ve made a number of RPGs following the RPG series I?ve created called Dragonial. This series first started back, long ago, in 2001 or somewhere around there. Dragonial 1 was by far the greatest of the four I?ve created and lasted the longest too, mostly because of the great roleplaying skills of Ginnylyn who does not come here anymore.

But time has passed since Dragonial 4 and I?ve decided to try another (though #4 failed miserably from lack of interest). This one, I take a new turn, but keep some of the same features I?ve always kept that make the Dragonial RPGs what they are. First, the Dragonial is a large crystal within the world of Edith that contains all dragon spirits. If it was taken away from it?s resting place, it?d endanger all of mankind and dragonkind alike. This is often the case in the Dragonial RPGs. Now, without further ado, here?s the plot and the rest for Dragonial: Symphony of Dragons. Enjoy.

PS: None of the events in the previous RPGs effect this one at all.

Dragonial: Symphony of Dragons

:::Edith
The world of Edith has kept it?s mark as a prosperous land with it?s four main areas and four main kings. Though, conflict rises between the rulers now and then and often corruption takes place, the laws hold steady and keep crime at its base. The world of Edith is one large continent like the land we now call Pangaea. This continent is split into the four kingdoms, one ruled quite differently than the other three.

First, there was Forlorneth, the Kingdom of Light. It stretched more southern than anywhere else and was the most hot in the summer. It had vast vegetation and lush forests. It was the most prosperous of its neighboring brothers because it was ruled by the most generous, yet strongest ruler Lord Halien. Halien knew he wouldn?t last forever so he made sure he married and had heirs to the throne in case of any disagreement between the fellow kingdoms. He was always thinking ahead, but kept his mind in the present. That?s what made him the king he is.

Then there was Mordeth, the Kingdom of Stock. Some name, indeed. Though it may not sound that interesting, it?s the most affluent kingdom in all of Edith behind its big brother Forlorneth. Mordeth shares a great connection with Forlorneth and sells many of its goods to them. Mordeth is named ?Kingdom of Stock? because of it?s large farming plains for crops as well as livestock, which they are world famous for. Their king is Lord Georgus, a overly-large man who has just as big of an appetite for food as he does for making bargains with his neighboring countries. He too, like Halien, does not like war, but insists on making Edith peaceful.

Thirdly, we have Rojah, the Kingdom of Vice. Though it sounds a bit heinous, it?s not as bad as its name projects. The name was only given to it because it?s the place with few laws and very few places that crime doesn?t reign. Criminals take refuge in their towns and cities, making deals with other crooks and murderous thieves who would do anything for a quick buck. Their leader, Lord Rajah, doesn?t pay any mind to it neither, thinking it be a fool?s errand to put a stop to it all. Besides, most of his money comes in from the thieves and robbers out there occupying his landscape. He wishes for it to be as it is. So crime stays and he will soon pay.

Lastly, there is a kingdom with no name. It is simply known as the Shrouded Lands. Ruled by Lord Derek Silverdane, one man who is quite important to our storyline here. He rules under darkness, his land even more villainous than Rajah?s Rojah. His laughs at death and takes pride in killing the innocent. The land is usually cloudy with smoke from the many fires, making it?s rightful name of Shrouded Lands true meaning. He was pure evil, true, but did have people who liked him as a ruler. He even had a wife and then a son who he bore the name of Edreck to. But still, many would choose Rojah over staying a night in the Shrouded Land?s disastrous plains.

:::In the Past?
The story starts where Lord Silverdane, or Derek as his closest family called him, was at the age of forty, a very old age in Edith. Life expectancy was around fifty. He was becoming very crippled, but was still able to wield his blade expertly. He continued terrorizing and the three other kingdoms, even Rojah, looked down on him with disgust. At this time, his son, Edreck, was about sixteen, an age not too many years after a boy became a man.

Edreck led most of Derek?s armies into conquest, slaying many for pleasure. But soon, at this age, Derek was beginning to wonder what the joy of it was to kill all these people. His black heart didn?t turn good, but he was pondering what he was getting out of it all. Nothing. He didn?t get anything, but laughter from his warriors and displeasure from the three other kingdoms. He had to stop this and make a mark on the map. He then thought of the plan that would make him rich.

He dressed himself in red and black with a flowing silver wig and an evil, dark mask, then taking a dragon from his own castle, he flew away to cities in his kingdom and attacked, annihilating everything, even the people. He spread the rumor himself of the Dragon Rider. Because of the Dragon Rider (himself), he got money for the cities? destruction, therefore giving him money for his own pleasure.

His greed soon got the best of him, though. He flew to the center of Edith where, on a tall and thick pillar, stood the Dragonial, the large crystal holding all Dragon Souls. This pillar was the center of all the kingdoms, where they all connected. If he stole the Dragonial, all would look to him for help and there would be profit. But upon his attempt to snatch the large crystal, it let out a ripping lightning attack, knocking him off his flying drake and to the ground where he met his death.

It wasn?t long before Edreck began to worry about his father?s disappearance. He flew out to the center of Edith to only find his father dead beneath the mask of the man who terrorized so many. Edreck felt the pain of a lost one and wished to strike revenge on the Dragonial, but it was gone from the pillar. It knew it was in danger so it fled with the souls of the dragons until it would be safe to return.

Edreck never told anyone who his father?s other identity was, but he kept the garments of the Dragon Rider, and one day, would take them back out and get sweet retribution on the crystal upon it?s return.

:::The Conflict Begins
It is twenty years later after the death of Derek Silverdane, the proud ruler of the Shrouded Lands. Once Edreck took over the kingdom, he renamed it Silverside, finally giving his kingdom something to stand by. He wasn?t as dark as his father was and the constant killing had stopped. No more fires and no more cloudy skies. There was actually beautiful vegetation to be seen.

A year after Edreck was pronounced Lord Silverdane, he married a woman from Rojah and had a family. Their only son, MaCarthur, would soon take over as the king when Edreck passes away. That was Edreck?s plan. But times have darkened. As said before, it?s twenty years later and Edreck grows stronger, awaiting when the Dragonial will return.

Then it did.

He unleashed the clothing of the Dragon Rider and once again, the legend was revived. He mounted his noble drake and flew to the center of Edith where the Dragonial sat proudly on it?s pillar. He flew cautiously up the pillar, dodging any bolts of lightning shot at him. Then, he took a swift hit at it and it fell to the ground. It didn?t shatter, but it was now powerless when off it?s pillar.

Taking the Dragonial, Edreck locked it away in his secret room of his castle where only he would know where it is. But miraculously, before he could stop it, it shot five balls of light into the air and they zipped away. It was it?s last defense. It called upon the Dragonas.

:::Sign Up
You will be one of the five Dragonas that the Dragonial has summoned to save it. Though no one knows that Edreck is the one who captured it or that he is even the Dragon Rider. Signing up will take some thought so please plan before posting. And if you?re not able to post in the RPG, please don?t bother posting a sign up.

Okay, first off, you will need to fill this out. Refer to any of the lists when asked to:

Name:
Age: (18-27)
Weapon: (Refer to Weapons List)
Dragon Elements: (Refer to the Dragons List)
Personality:
Appearance:
Information: (Stuff about you including past, present, and plans for the future)

Okay, here are this lists:

Weapons:
The deal with weapons is, once someone has chosen that weapon, you can?t use it. Just to keep things original here. Otherwise (and it?s happened), everyone will have a sword. Wow. Exciting.

-Sword (Taken by me)
-Axe
-Bow
-Knuckles (If you have this, you?re a fist fighter. You may use Brass Knuckles and such)
-Spear
-Staff
-Daggers
-Double-Sword (Blade on each end)

Dragons:
When choosing a dragon element, you may choose three. You will notice an instrument accompanies each type of elemental dragon. This links with why this RPG is called ?Symphony of Dragons.? To summon one of your three dragons, you play their instrument. When doing soon, it will emerge for battle. Wee! Like weapons, once someone has that element, no one else may have it.

-Lightning- Piccolo (mine)
-Dark- Drum (mine)
-Fire- Octave Guitar (mine)
-Water- Pan Flute
-Ice- Violin
-Wind- Orcarina
-Storm- Organ
-Rock- Acoustic Bass
-Plant- Flute
-Comet- Banjo
-Healing- Harp
-Psychic- Folk Guitar
-Rain- Harmonica
-Invisibility- Trumpet
-Resonance- Cello
-Light- Clarinet
-Earthquake- Irish Whistle

Now if you choose Light, that means you literally control light. Healing is where you heal. The two are different this time. Resonance is where you control sound. Sound can be powerful when giving a warcry that could shatter a man?s eardrums clear across Edith. You will also be immune to loud sounds by controlling your hearing. Dark, which is one of my elements, is curses and hexes. Very useful. Not even a psychic can stop those. Speaking of psychic, don?t think you will be unstoppable with that element. It simply allows mind control and a weak barrier.

The element Comet allows you to control flaming balls of rock. You don?t even have to touch them. Like a psychic, if they?re flaming, you can chuck ?em. Rain is where you control rain. Though Storm can do both rain and lightning skills, they are much weaker. It?s best to have the full bred skills. Also, these are all portable so if you have an organ, don?t think you?re hauling around the full-sized one XD

Name: MaCarthur Silverdane
Age: 18
Weapon: Sword
Dragon Elements:
-Lightning- Piccolo
-Dark- Drum
-Fire- Octave Guitar
Personality: Being the son of the vilest man in Edith on this present day, he has some darkness within him. He tends not to show it, though, since Edreck never pushed him to do evil deeds like Derek did to his son. MaCarthur actually is charming, but rogue-like, keeping to himself and only hanging out with his best friend who lives in Rojah, Silverside?s closest friend. If he?s not doing his own thing, he?s helping his father.
Appearance:

Information: Ever since MaCarthur was a young lad, he was always told how Silverside was always prosperous, though only two years previously had it been the dark wasteland ruled over by Lord Derek Silverdane. Edreck always told his son that his grandfather was the noblest of men and to keep that in MaCarthur?s mind, he barely let him wander Edith, if not even Silverside.

He was also told the lie that his mother died giving birth to him, but she really died by being slain by one of Edreck?s own soldiers when she rushed out onto the battlefield in a conflict where some peasants revolting. That soldier was killed for his misdeed and Edreck swore to his whole kingdom that his son should never know the truth about how Silverside was once the Shrouded Lands, how his grandfather was once the most despicable man to ever walk the lands of Edith, and how his mother never died from his birth. Though Edreck didn?t wish to bring any more real darkness upon Silverside, he was beginning to feel the dark presence his father did. Edreck was reaching forty. MaCarthur was only eighteen, able to live his own life. Then news broke that the Dragonial had been stolen upon it?s return.

And at this time, MaCarthur found three small instruments in his bedroom chambers. Oddly enough, he knew how to play them and summon dragons of immense power.

Name: Jedgar ?Cyclone? Nieta

Age: 23

Weapon: Staff

Dragon Elements:

-Wind- Ocarina
-Storm- Organ
-Rain- Harmonica

Personality: Quiet, reserved and moody, Jedgar doesn?t make friends easily. He?s also very picky about everything from his clothing to his food. Jedgar has a strong sense of justice and he doesn?t hesitate to pass judgment on the wicked. These qualities have made him a bit of a loner, but respected by all.

Appearance:

Information: Born in the Kingdom of Vice, Jedgar was severely out of place. His strong moral character and fierce independence made him many dangerous enemies. Unlike most other boys his age, petty theft and vandalism didn?t interest him. Jedgar devoted himself to his studies, which was rather difficult to do in a land dominated by single-minded crooks.

Upon reaching the age of twenty, and acquiring the maturity gained through years of watching ruthless criminals terrorize the few hard working and honest people that inhabited his homeland, Jedgar took an oath. He swore that day to protect the innocent, punish the guilty and never to rest in that task until the day he died.

To prepare for this monumental task, he sought out an accomplished warrior and learned his secrets. Day and night he practiced the intricate art form that is staff combat. He learned blocks, parries, strikes and disarming moves. Physical training dominated his waking hours. In just under a year, he was transformed from an average young man into a living weapon.

Upon leaving the tutelage of his wizened trainer, Jedgar returned home to say his final goodbyes to his parents. As turned onto the street where his house lay, he was horrified to find that it had been reduced to ash. In the doorway lay two scorched skeletons, twisted in impressions of agony.

Caution was thrown to the winds, and Jedgar ran towards the ashes that had once comprised his childhood home. Tears streaming down his face, he began to look through the rubble for anything of sentimental value that could be salvaged. As he reached the area that would have been his bedroom, Jedgar noticed something odd.

In the midst of the destruction lay three small instruments, surrounded by a small area that seemed to be untouched by the destruction. He picked each one up in turn, somehow knowing intuitively how to play them.

Knowing that somehow, these were his gateway to revenge?

Name: Ryden Shinnarah
Age: 24
Weapon: Doube sword (The black center hilt bears a long curved schimitar blade on each side, both bearing engraved symbols of luck and destiny.)
Dragon Elements:
Phycic Folk Guitar
Water Pan Flute
Plant Flute

Personality: Ryden is a bright lad, though he finds sometimes that he lacks to use it. He is sometimes cheery but often aloof in his own mind.
Appearance: http://gundamofficial.com/www_ac/gw/characters/charpopups/media/ozthumb1_lg_zechs.jpg
(A black long sleeve, a dark brown vest, and dark blue pants instead of the uniform.)
Information: Birthed in Forlorneth, Ryden's father trained him from an early age to be a champion fighter. His father was a prize fighter in many tournaments, and he wished for his son to follow his legacy. Ryden's training paid off, as he slowly climbed the rank in tournaments to the highest championship.

He defended his title for three years with his deadly double sword, yet he wasn't satisfied being a fighter for entertainment. He wanted to make more of himself, become something great that his father could really be proud of. He planned to leave Forlorneth, and travel the world for a legacy to call his own. That's when something called upon him. He couldn't explain exactly what it was, but he knew a task had been set out for him.

I hope that was okay. If you want more, or modifications, don't hesitate to ask.

If so ill reserve the weapon Spear and the elements Ice, Comet and Rock

Just waiting for your answer
There's a reason why you can't :( Since there's no actual magic in Edith aside from the Dragonial and the instruments distributed to each Dragona, there isn't such things as a mage. But there are those who believe they can predict things. That's about it. Sorry =/

Good work you guys. I still need two more if Anime Otaku is counted as one.

I'll try it, if this is not satisfactory, please tell me in advance.

Name: Leon De'Nefla

Age: 19 years of age

Weapons: Assuming that it has now been released, The Spear. The Spear itself in length is about 6ft 2 that rests in a clasp that clips onto the back of Leon's armour. The spear's lengthy but thin hilt that is made out steel has been stained in a pattern of an Oriental Dragon consisting of tiny use of gold, with the majority of it being green and black. The blade is about three quarters of a foot long tipped with an incredibly sharply cut diamond. The blade is made of silver that is so clean it almost seems a light blue.

Dragon Elements:
-Ice- Violin
-Resonance- Cello
-Rock- Acoustic Bass

Personality: Leon is of a witty, intelligent nature. Even though he is often looked upon as being very handsome, he does not let this get to his head. Generally not speaking alot unless spoken to, Leon is said to be a very loyal and determined person and when given an order he will make sure the task is done. He takes on more of a leadership role and supports the idea of co-operation, but yet, even though reluctant to go it alone, if he has to, he will not let the isolation from a team affect his concentration.

Appearance: Leon De'Nefla

The wings on the armour themselves do not give Leon the ability to fly, they merely represent his position as one of the Dragona's. His hair is of the same style but a dark brown, as are his eyes. Standing at a height of 5ft 10, Leon is looked upon as being very tall upon the time and of a slim figure he is of a good structure to fight and maintain his large spear.

Information: I will edit this later on tonight as I plan on coming on later. I apologise for the lack of time.

Edited

Born in the Kingdom of Forlorneth, Leon was brought up in the neighbouring woodland of the King's palace. An orphan by nature and with no memory of his parents, Leon prospered in his own lifestyle, hunting to keep himself fed, drank from the springs to keep himself hydrated and went into the main city of Forlorneth to get supplies. He always sent funds by the King's generosity after Leon applied for aid, on one condition, that he would swear that in the event the Kingdom of Forlorneth was attacked, Leon would come to the King's aid.

Agreeing at about the age of 13, Leon was trained by Forlorneth's elite soldiers in the way of the spear, and there he progressed with ease, and was awarded the magnificent spear he carries today. However, staying reclusive in the woodland, Leon would not like to become too attached to anyone. He never really considered anyone close friends, more like acquaintances because he didn't want to feel the emotion of devastation. From the age of 8, Leon made friends with an also young boy named 'Jeeloth', the two had alot of things in common and this was the only exception of whom Leon got close to. However, a darkness was dwelling over these two children's bonds.

One night, the two wandered around the woods pretending to be brave adventurers, having the time of their lives, the both crept deeper into the forests until they were ambushed by a gang of thieves. Trying to escape, the two ran back only to be met by a burly, drunkard carrying a rusty dagger. Why would anyone want to hurt innocent children? This was exactly the thought Leon had through his mind. Eventually slyly running past and avoiding the man's delayed reactions, Jeeloth and Leon had escaped, until a well aimed throw of a poisoned dart hit Jeeloth in the back of the neck. Collapsing, Jeeloth refused to let Leon aid him, and without any choice, Leon retreated, crying hysterically on the way home, he never saw Jeeloth again.

7 years later, Leon requested the King's aid to help him hunt down these murderers, but being refused, because of a 'petty crime', Leon went out on his own. After finding the bandits, he defeated each and every one of them, and none survived. After a search, Leon found a mysterious red bow with a small lock of hair inside, could it have been his mother's? Leon asked to himself.

And so with completed his vengeful task, Leon walked home only to find three instruments. Picking each up individually he found he had the talent to play them flawlessly, and every time, a mystical creature known as a Dragon, all belonging to each instrument would soar across the sky, calling out to Leon and so he is today, waiting for the chance to find out why and when he could use these instruments, hoping to have some closure on his past.

After hearing news of the Dragonial being stolen, Leon was called to the King's aid and now he could fulfill his promise...

Name: Veil Banesylvia

Age: 19

Weapon: Axe - Two light axes that are made of silver metal. They are lighter and slimmer than normal, since Veil can't wield the normal version (they're far too heavy; she doesn't have that much muscle.) They're also both double-sided. The handles are slender and made of a dark wood, smooth and finished from everyday use. Intricately carved with twisting dragons, they have been threaded at the ends of the handles with dark leather bands. From blade to band, each axe is 1 1/2 feet in length. Clearly they have been made for a woman - they look to decorative and delicate to be fought with, but they are quite strong and hardy. Deadly too. :D

Dragon Elements: Healing-Harp; Light-Clarinet; there don't seem to be any others left.

Personality: Veil is wary of most people, downright distrustful to others. She is contemptible of nobles, especially the family of Silverdane, the ruling family of Silverside. She knows her goals, and reaches them with a grim determination. Failure isn't an option for her right now.
She also holds grudges when hurt is inflicted on her family. However, once you befriend her, she is loyal and trustworthy. Kind of blunt, she never hides the truth, and says whatever she thinks. She detests dependence on anything. If you're skilled in the arts of combat and war, she will afford you a grudging respect. But beware, if you're her enemy, she'll hate you until you are laid to rest.

Appearance: Short, dark hair that comes just below her jaw-line. Her height is average, maybe an inch or two shorter than what's normal in Edith. She has misty gray-silver eyes, and a slender figure. She wears a coarse, wool tunic, with several warm layers underneath. Light mail covers that, and around this she has leather bands. Thick wool trousers and knee-high leather boots. A thick, gray cloak completes her ensemble, and she wears leather gloves to protect her hands.
The axes hang from her belt on their leather bands, which she is able to slip off with ease.

Information: Veil's mother was a peasant who dallied with Edreck Silverdane. As a result, Veil was born, a bastard princess. When Edreck found out that Veil's mother was pregnant with her, he quietly disengaged contact with her, "assisting" her out of his estates. She returned to her family's farm, living in a hut on its edge, where her angry family put her.
When she was unpacking her belongings from the castle, she found two orbs of light, which turned into instruments. She kept them hidden, looking at how expensive and rich they were. She gave birth to Veil and raised her on her own, pawning off all the rich things she had gained while in Edreck's favor. She changed Veil's name, making the surname Banesylvia like a riddle. "Bane" as a threat, and "sylvia" as a twisted version of silver and Veil. Thus, Veil's name means that she will be the bane of the Silverdanes.
Veil grew up amidst the meager surrounding of her mother's hut, who struggled constantly. However, it was still a somewhat happy childhood, and she was content, after knowing no other world. However, Veil's grandparents and uncles never forgave her mother for giving birth to Edreck's bastard, and kept her secluded. She therefore grew up with a hard grudge against the rest of her family, and detests the sight of them. Also, she hates the Silverdanes with a passion, because her mother constantly talked of how Edreck dumped her back onto the farm. Her mother's weeping at her loss continually drove in the knife in Veil's heart, and she vowed at the age of 12 to avenge her mother's pride and honor. Since then, she tried to train herself in weapons and combat, fighting with village boys for practice. One odd child of a nobleman who befriended her (surprisingly), allowed his weapons instructor to teach her, and she was well-educated in the arts of combat. She took a liking to the double-headed axes, and the boy gave her a present of two of them (the ones she has now) for her 19th birthday. Soon after, he left for a foreign land.
Her mother died recently, and just before gave her the harp and clarinet, asking her to keep them since they were from the castle. She is wary of the instruments, since when she touched them, she felt an odd power. She keeps them wrapped and tucked away in leather, waiting to learn what they do.
After her mother finally passed away, in pain and sorrow, Veil burned the hut and all memories of her past life. She then lit the fields of her mother's family, her grudge living in the fire.
Veil now searches for a way to take her revenge on the Silverdane family, and inflict pain on the heirs. She wishes to grow and seize power, so that she can rise against them and avenge her deceased mother. She likes to thwart and make chaos for nobles, since she holds contempt for them, as some of them don't care for the peasants under their rule. She is slowly insinuating her way closer to the family of Silverdane.
