I know I do, but I like serveal artists. Now I want to know who the other fans like. But keep in mind so not get off subject, so this a rap/r/b music forum. NOT metal/rock/country/etc.

I am not a huge fan of these genres, but I try to remain open about it. Every so often a group or musician comes to my attention that I really enjoy.

I've been listening to Outkast for awhile now. I don't own Stankonia for some reason, although I do own their latest and a couple before that. I've not gotten a chance to listen to Speakerboxxx/The Love Below in one sitting, but there are a lot of songs I skip around to. I'm into Dracula's Wedding right now lol. I'd have to say my favorite release of theirs would be either Aquemini or ATLiens, though.

I also really like Handsome Boy Modeling School, although their release had a lot of stuff on it that I wouldn't even really consider "songs". I believe they have something new coming out this year, so I'm looking forward to that.

I liked N.E.R.D.'s release. It wasn't the best, but it had some solid stuff on it. I think they have something else coming out really soon, so I plan on grabbing that.

Acrobatik is also quite good, if I'm even spelling his name right. I forget where the K goes heh.

R&B wise... I am not really into any of the current stuff, although I like a lot of music from decades back that was considered R&B. It seems to have changed a lot.

When it comes to rap, I'm definately into the older, but not so old stuff. Tupac, the Wutang Clan, Bone Thugs n Harmony, Snoop Dawg, they just remind me of my childhood. I can't say I've looked into anything new since then, I do own some of Outkast's stuff, and I listen to odd songs here and there on the radio, but nothing I can name off the bat.

As far as R&B goes, I'm a huge fan of the Roots. They're a really solid band, play their own instruments (which seems to be a rarity in the genre now) and lyrically speaking they have some great stuff. They're not as popular as they should be with younger crowds because they're stuff isn't syndicated much, but they're awesome. I also really like Erika Badhu, she's got a great mellow voice. One of my favorite songs actually is her and the Roots' duet, 'Baby.' Wonderful song.

Yeah, I used to be a Root's fan too (and still am of course) but then I realised there was a band that was like the Hip Hop version of the them. And Jurrasic 5 rule. Period. Unbelievable lyrics and rhythm. Odd that a Hip Hop band are my all time favourite, when I'm really more of an Rn'B man. I'm listening to Kayne West and Twista too at the moment, though its Slow Jam, not your other one Inuyasha7271.

NB: I dare anyone not to like Jahiem: Put That Women First.

Rap only sounds good in my car when two 12's are blowing the bass way out of proportion so much you can't hear the annoying lyrics.

However, I am become a bigger and bigger fan of Outkast, and not particularly for their music (although some of it is very good) but for their image and what they do as a unique group who goes beyond the limits. I like Nelly too because he's got a good rap voice. It's very energetic and different. And Snoop Dogg, just because he's laid back in his voice and lyrics, but funny as hell when he's not rapping.

Hmm.. Rapwise, I'm a big fan of Talib Kweli, Hi-Tek, The Invisibl Skratch Piklz (DJs, actually), Public Enemy, Mos Def, De La Soul, Gang Starr, Outkast, Jurassic 5, The Roots, A Tribe Called Quest, Black Star, Common, Missy Elliott, Bahamadia, Ozomatli, MC%, and a few others.

RnB wise, I like the Jazzyfatnastess, Kelis, Res, Mystic,Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill,Aaliyah,India Arie, and that's about it.

Yup.. Yup....

Rap to me is not music: Rap is just people making rhymes and using words with a beat. Personally, I cant stand rap. Its just not music. The only thing remotley close to rap that I "enjoy" is Outkast and some of Tupac. The reason for Tupac is because he actually puts emotion and a theme in his music. He shows passion for the things he does, while most other rappers dont show anything like that. And the reason for liking Outkast is that not all of their music is rap, some of that is hip-hop/pop. So Im not a fan of rap.

Man most of those guys are wack. Well, in my opinion. I like strictly underground- Copywrite, Jedi Mind Tricks, etc...

I love R and B when I'm not in a crappy mood, or wanting to listen to something heavy. I'm a big fan of Brian McKnight, have been for years, and I love just about everything that Boyz 2 Men and Babyface, used to, put out. I haven't listened to the radio much lately, though I love Ashanti.

I am not the biggest rap fan, or more precisely, the biggest fan of modern rap. The "bling-bling" era of rap just aren't my cup of tea without their soulless, gloating lyrics. I really don't care about how much money, and "ice" these guys have. I just want to hear what you have to say. I do like some modern songs, for the sole purpose of using them as a means to let off steam or whatnot. "Krunk" songs by groups like Lil' Jon and the Eastside Boyz, for instance, though I don't like most of their beats, and I can't stand how much they use the word "skeet". That just feels, sick. That's all I can say, sick.

Like many others, I love Outkast's music and how different it is from the rap that is currently being marketed. I love Nelly and am a fan of Eminem and Cash Money (the latter solely for their beats, much like Lil Jon). I prefer to go with people like Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliot (though her songs are starting to sound almost exactly alike), and Timbaland (nobody makes better beats, IMO). I also love "old school" rap like Run DMC (especially the song "Rock Box"), MC Lyte, Salt n Peppa ( gotta love "Push it"), and yes, MC Hammer. Hey, I was like five when he came out. :smirk:

I don't really like rap but ever since I had a music assignment where we had to choose a song that reflected hope or hopelessness I grew to like Bones, Thugs N Harmony or to be more specific then that, I like Mixed Up world by Bones,Thugs n Harmony or even better Gangstas Paradise by Coolio.
