Squall
Kayo ran through the alleyway, a bright red spot glowing on his belt. "Owowowowow!" He tossed the ruby he had extracted Tobias's memories in onto the ground. "Yeow! That stung like crazy! I guess memories aren't fire-proof." He walked around in small circles until the pain went away. Then he crouched down beside the ruby, poking at it. "So, how the hell do you work this thing?" He picked it up, and threw it between his hands. It still glew from being burnt. Tobias sat in the other room, concentrating hard. "Come on, tap into my memories." Kayo frowned, and gritted his teeth. "No choice. Here goes-" He smacked the ruby against his head, and immediately regretted it. Tobias stood up. "Now! Feel god's wrath!!" Kayo screamed, as a white cross seemed to form through his chest. His body lit with his demonic blaze, as it tried to counter the Father's cross. Kayo hung in the air, screaming for a moment, until both his blaze and the cross dissapeared, and he fell limp to the ground. Through his mind echoed Tobias's thoughts. I must do this...do this for Azaria...the chosen one... Kayo sat up, sweat soaked. "W-What the hell?" Hello, Kayo. Kayo jumped, as a voice in his head spoke his name. "uhh...who or what are you?" "I am Father Tobias. And you are the Dark Wanderer, Kayo." "hey, How the hell do you know?" "Our minds are now linked. It was the most I could do, for Azaria." "The chosen one! You're not too smart for leading me to her." "It could not be helped. At least now, I can see into your mind." "Well, get out! I'm gonna kill you if you stay in there!" "Only, if you do not harm Azaria." "I can't harm her! It's not part of the job." "But you will give her to someone who may." "None of your buisness! Stay out!" Kayo walked out of the alleyway, hands hooked on his belt. "Thou shalt not kill! Thou shalt not kill! Thou Shalt Not Kill!!" "BUT OUT! Kayo's mind filled with inferno, scolding Tobias badly. He stopped for a few minutes. Thou shalt not-" "How do I get rid of you?!"
inti
*BANG!* Varidos sat bolt upright. He was in his bed, in Scyllaria. Home. The darkness of the place was overwhelming to most wizards, but seeing as Varidos' personality was darker than the shadows themselves, he was fine. He loved it. But something had happened just before. The loud 'bang' was unnerving, especially since it had not come from this region. Nor even the Overworld. It had come from below. The Underworld was stirring. Why the hell am I worried about this? Nothing from down there is going to come up here and get me... he thought. He was filled with a sinking feeling. "What if someone is...looking for me?" He jumped as a slight breeze shifted the curtains. "I'll just be leaving then..." he said aloud. He hopped out of bed, got his things and raced out the door. No one's going to go finding me... he thought. He next spoke in the incantations of the dark wizard. "Dryyth-nahs, htyyrd-shan" The spells of thought reading and mind wiping had been laid. "Ohrtak y'l zrandue, m'qwraht" Varidos vanished from sight.
The (Sic) Shape
Rayne kicked down a door, scaring the three preists inside. He realized that they were the high preists, seeing that their robes were more fancy then the others that he had seen throughout the tower. "Surely one of you know the location of the crystal," Rayne said. "We shall tell you nothing! You shall be sent back to hell vampire!" Rayne simply sighed as he drew his Blood Reaver, and walked toward them. The priests slowly began to chant their spells when Rayne suddenly ran to them and grabbed one of them by his throat. "Stop your spells if you value your comrade's life," Rayne said, as they slowly began to back away, "Now, tell me where the crystal is." They hesitated to say anything, until a loud crack was heard as the preist fell to the floor. Rayne had broken his neck. They began to rechant their spells, yet they barely had any effect. Rayne ran up to one of the priests and simply stabbed him. He stared angrily at the remaining preist and he began to cower away. Rayne grabbed him by his arms and pinned him against the walls. "I am losing my patience! Now you shall tell me!" Rayne yelled. His claws began to sink into the preist's arms, blood slowly dripping down. He let him go, and the priest grabbed his wounds, attemping to heal his wounds, but Rayne prevented him. "Alright," the preist said, "The crystal is hidden deep in the Forest of Telzena." Rayne quickly silenced him with his Blood Reaver. He let out a laugh now that he knew where the crystal was. By the time the other priests found their dead bodies, Rayne was already gone. Kanariya
Ushina kept walking throughout the Otherworld, going through the way Pyne had left for her. It was weird, very different from the Underworld. "And Pyne says this place is dangerous, yeesh. He's got one retarded mind." Ushina let out a loud sigh, then kept walking again, awaiting for someone to come out and try to scare her. Suddenly, a man came out from behind a tree, dead red eyes, ripped up clothing, and messy black hair. Blood and skin from his meals were dripping down from his mouth, and he was hungry...for more...(Well, just imagine a guy who got the 'virus' from 28 Days Later. That's what he looks like) "You picked the wrong thing to mess with," Ushina said, grabbing out her two black Sai. She had gotten them from her trusted blacksmith, and specially made for her of her request. Ushina ran to the dark human, and began attacking him. Blood sprayed everywhere, and he screamed in pain while doing so. Ushina stopped, and stared down at the ground and the dead human. "Bastard," she said. Then she kneel down on the ground, and began licking up blood that was from his body.

Dead Alice
"Aris..." Azaria's words were barely audible. "I'm worried about you." Aris turned around to see Azaria, who looked like she'd been crying. "I know Father Tobias told me to leave you alone, but I can't just sit there knowing someone is hurt," she said softly, looking at the floor. Aris winced, as if her words caused him pain. "Azaria... Can I ask you something?" said Aris slowly. Azaria looked up. "Why don't you ever smile?" She was slightly taken aback. "I never really saw the point. I only smile when I am truly sad, because it makes the pain feel like less of a burden. I only smiled once in my life..." "Ferilan..." said Aris knowingly. "Yes..." Azaria nodded. "But aren't you lying to yourself?" Aris asked. "You hide pain behind a gentle face, and mask happiness with naivete." "I'm not lying to myself... I'm fighting my weaknesses by believing in a false faith." Aris stared blankly at the floor.

And because of it, I can never smile, either. Azaria....there will always be something for you. For me....there is only death and pain. Azaria:Please.....let me heal you. Aris simply nodded, and Azaria focused her energies. Aris bit down on his leather gauntlet to keep from screaming in pain. Azaria gasped as she watched his skin rupture and bubble, slowly and painfully healing. Her magic caused and healed fresh wounds as the burn dissipated. Eventually, as she stopped her magiks, the wound and burn were completely gone. Azaris:Oh, God.....what happened?! That's NEVER happened before. Aris:There is an explanation. Squall
OOC Sorry, I've been off for a bit. PS I never had any orc allies. ------------- Kayo ran back towards the church, well in front of the orcs and such that followed him. "Alive and Unharmed" weren't rules orcs could follow very well. Kayo busted through the church doors, and found Azaria inside. Across the room, he saw Tobias praying. He didn't even look up as the doors swung open. Kayo ignored him and rushed, picking up Azaria, who looked at him rather blankly since she never really got a good glimpse of his face the first time he was in the church, and broke out of the stained glass window. Not gonna try and stop me? Kayo spoke telipathically to Tobias. It's not my place. Kayo didn't understand, but he ran off with Azaria none the less. Kayo skidded to a halt farther down the street.Azaria wriggled in his grasp, and was calmly put down. "What is the meaning of this!?" She bellowed. "Take a look for yourself!" Kayo pointed back at the church, which was now overrun with ogres. Kayo was worried for a moment, before he heard Tobias's praying in the back of his mind. "Oh!" Azaria gasped when she looked back at the church. "Father Tobias!!" "Relax, he's fine. The ogres don't want some old bloke." Azaria tried to run for the church, but Kayo grabbed her arm. "Let me go! I have to go back to the church!" "Hey, shut up! There's nothing you can do for your precious church!" She struggled for a moment, and then stopped. "Why did those things attack the church?" "They were looking for you." "M-me?" "Yeah!" How stupid can you get? "But, why me?" "We don't have time for this! We have to get moving now!" "Where?" "Away from them! Then we can worry about the rest." "Rest? What more is there?" "Just c'mon, I don't have time to explain." Kayo yanked her arm and took off. They sprinted for a short while, and hid in an alley. "Hang on a sec. They might have caught our scent." There was a pause. "I-I guess I should thank you." Azaria said at last. "...I don't think thanks is the right word." She was about to enquire why, when Kayo started pulling her again.
The (Sic) Shape
Rayne let out an angered groan as he walked the paths of The Forest of Telzena. He had been searching for the crystal for awhile, and he had found no trace of it. His patience was getting thinner by the second. Could that preist have lied to him to prevent him from getting the crystal? Rayne slowly began to consider the thought, but if the crystal was surely here, then they certainly would have taken some measure to guard it. Rayne traveled lower and deeper in the forest, to the very center, and suddenly, he felt this strange feeling, as if it was trying to ward him off, yet he continued to walk toward this strange resonance. As he reached the center he saw strange glowing lake, and something in the center seemed to stick out. As he reached the tip of the lake he could see a small crystal shard in the center, deep below. Could this be the crystal? It would be hard for him to obtain the crystal, but as he set foot in the lake, the area around Rayne began to shake, and the water began to gather itself into a strange figure. Rayne drew his Blood Reaver. If they would guard this lake, then surely he had found the crystal.
Talon
Aris sighed, standing alone amidst a horde of broken, destroyed, and otherwise out-of-action ogres and orcs. Aris knew, from a cry he'd heard, that Azaria had been taken. But to where? Aris:Blood of my body, point the way to she whom I hold dear! Shattering his left wrist's skin with Risal's blade, Aris stared at the blood forming on the ground, pointing an arrow at a hastily retreating figure... Aris:He doesn't even bother covering their progress with a blood-stopper? Amateur! Aris dashed after Kayo, pulling Risal out and focusing hard on the blade's ability. Kayo, too busy pulling on Azaria, didn't notice the twister of blades descend upon him once more. He did, however, notice the pale-skinned figure darting into the spell and grabbing Azaria before the blades could injure her too much. Azaria:Aris!!! You fool! He was saving me!!! Aris:Azaria, that....person!....is the one that injured Tobias before! The one that burned my chest! He was there to KIDNAP you!! Azaria:Wha...it's....why would.......WHY WOULD HE WANT TO KIDNAP ME?!?! AND WHY DO YOU WANT TO PROTECT ME?!?!?! Aris simply turned his head away from Azaria, walking towards his ancestral home, making certain that the scent of Azaria and himself were wll covered. Nobody, not even a demon, could track them in his ancestral home. Aris:I have my reasons for protecting you. Or rather, my REASON. I'm going to my ancestral home, an isolated place away from the rest of this complicated land's fights. You'll be safe there, at least until Rayne gets his crystal. Then I have to make my choice. Aris began walking steadily towards a gap in the trees, making a beeline for his Drow-goddesses' temple. Aris:You comin' or not? Dead Alice
What's going on? Azaria wondered as she tried to keep up with Aris's pace. "Stop walking so--Aaah!" She tripped over a tree root. "Oww..." Aris turned around and looked at her quizically. "Aris... I can't get up... ugh..." The Drow sighed and reached out his hand. Azaria took it and felt a strange sensation, but chose to ignore it for the time being. He pulled her up without much effort. Azaria stumbled but Aris caught her, making them both feel very awkward. "Sorry..." she mumbled. "I think I sprained my ankle..." "Can't you heal it?" Aris inquired. "Actually... It's kind of strange but... I can't heal myself..." said Azaria quietly, turning slightly pink. "Well I'm not carrying you," said Aris stubbornly as he started to walk away. "Hey!" Azaria groaned at the pain in her leg.
Ayokano
Lorth rode slowly in the forest on his horse. He had been riding for days, and nothing had happened. He was bored and needed something to do. He stopped his horse. "What was that sound....." he said to himself. More movement from the over growth, and he knew something was there. He took his bow and arrow, and aimed at the next sound. He shot, and the creature gave a loud yell, and said something in Orcish. Lorth took out his broad sword, and charged at the small platoon of Orcs. He cut them in the neck and other weak points in their armor. Another toon came, and soon knocked him off of his brown horse. Soon, he was overwhelmed by three small, Orc toons. He laid on the grassy forest floor, half dead, half alive. Blood soaked the soil below him, and he could feel him losing it fast. Soon, he heard something come from the bushes, and saw a girl emerge with a dark-skinned elf like being.
Squall
Demon-boy? Amateur? I'll make you eat that! PS how does Aris know about Rayne again?lol -------------------------------- Kayo growled in frustration, as his attempts to track them failed. Damn. Who the hell is that guy? That stupid technique of his! He said in his mind. "ho ho ho. They got away from you, did they?" Tobias pitched in, delighted. "Once Aris takes her to his home, you'll never find them!" "You know where they are, don't you?" Tobias suddenly became very nervous. "No, not at all." "Spill it!" "No, no, Aris would never forgive me if I told you. It took him so long to tell anybody..." Kayo and Tobias shared the flashback, as Aris told Azaria all about his ancestrial home, Tobias listening in. "Yes! Thanks a lot!" "No! No! oh... Kayo rushed to the stable, but his horse was still exauhsted. It didn't matter, though. He stood his horse up and led it into another horse's place. He took the other horse, and mounted it. "Fair trade." He said, cracking the reins of his new horse. Kayo rode along the way he thought would be the fastest possible, verring towards any couples he saw. Finally, his ride bore fruits, as he found Aris and Azaria over the horizon. He thought about just taking him out with a throw of his dagger, it was an easy shot while his guard was down. But he declined. That was a move for lowlives. He picked up speed as he rode, Aris now teasing Azaria with the idea of walking away. Kayo and his horse burst through the brush, Kayo swinging a mighty fist at Aris. Risal was half way out of its sheath when Kayo's punch connected with his face, and sent him flying off his feet. "ARIS!" Kayo stopped and dismounted by Azaria. "Why did you do that? Who are you? What do you want with me?" Kayo's face was stony. Azaria tried to stand, but she collapsed on her sprained ankle. Kayo didn't want to take her, ecspecially if she was oblivious. But, it was his errand, so he'd let the Drow defend her. Kayo ushered the horse out of the way, as Aris came charging back. He stopped, when he saw Kayo was making no move to run. "You again! How'd you-" "Footprints." Kayo lied. "With her clumsy steps and your hurried strides, they were easy to pick out." "Damn." Aris swore under his breath. He took the bait. Aris drew Risal. "Prepare yourself!" He shouted, charging. Kayo made no attempt to dodge. Aris was good, damn good, but he wasn't used to fighting a sword on fists. Kayo rose a hand and caught the blade. "What the hell?" "These gauntlets can't be cut by the likes of you!" Kayo shouted. He rose a burning gauntlet close to Aris's face. He jumped back. "Impossible! My technique should have put you down for hours!" "Don't expect anything normal here. There's demonic blood flowing through my veins. you won't put me down easily. This won't be like any swordfight you've ever experienced. I garantee." Kayo said, raising a gauntlet. "Let's rock!"

IC: Varidos ran through the dark city of Scyllaria, unseen, unheard, not even his prescence was felt. Let's see now...the forest is too drugged by the hippie elves... he thought as he ran, But how about the entrance to the Underworld? Surely the source of that bang must have come from down there...or maybe I'll just go to that general area. His descision made, he headed for the region where the Demon Gate could be found. ~*~ Five days later, Varidos saw a horrible thing, even by his standards. A strange zombie-like man trudged by. He looked like he had been infected with some sort of a virus. As the man-thing limped by, Varidos could have sworn the zombie thing had seen him. It did, after all, look staright at the spot Varidos was standing. Intrigued, Varidos decided to follow the strange man, to see where it would go, and what it would do. Four long hours later, the zombie thing poked its head out from behind a tree, hissed, and leapt out. Careful not to miss any of the action, Varidos ran over to the tree the man had poked its head out from behind. To his horror, Varidos saw the zombie being mushed to a pulp. By a vampire. WHAT?! Squall
*sighs* Here we go again. ------------- Kayo was out, pinned to the tree by his gut. That was the least of his worries, though, as his mind was spiralling into darkness. He forgot everything. Who he was, what he was doing, how to fight, it all slowly seeped from his mind. But, his mind wasn't alone. Tobias had locked a connection between their minds, and neither of them could suffer alone. Aris hadn't put any spells on Tobias, though, so his mind was safe. And Tobias knew everything about Kayo, that's all it took. The memories and thoughts Tobias had learned from Kayo slowly started streaming back into the lifeless demon's head. It was slow, but enough for Kayo to grip onto. Kayo awoke, his eyes blood red. His memories still had not returned, but demon instinct had. He grabbed the spear he was pinned on, and slowly pushed himself down the hilt, gushing blood. Tobias used his chance to flood Kayo's mind with the holy teachings. It may have worked to cancel out his instincts all together, if it had been sooner. Kayo was finally free. He turned slowly to look at the fire spear, it glew dim in comparison to Kayo's gauntlets. Kayo reached out and grabbed the spear. "IGNITE!" He yelled hoarsly. The fire of his gauntlets streamed up the spear and into the tree, casting it aflame. The tree then served to light several other trees on fire, and it spread slowly towards the neighboring town. The villagers saw this and hurriedly brought buckets of water to douse the flames. It was no use, as Irifts terrible wrath was too much for any human to put out. Several dozen burned alive in hell fire trying desprately to stop it. Meanwhile, Kayo's stream of memories flew faster, as more recent memories started to flood. Kayo grabbed the fire spear from the tree, throwing it as far as he could. "ARIS!" He barked. The (Sic) Shape
Rayne's grip on his Blood Reaver strengthened as he dodged the strange water being's tentacles. It was getting harder as more and more began to manifest and attack him, and he won't be getting near the crystal if this kept up. As a tentacle rushed toward him, Rayne slashed through it, causing it to fall off, making it turn into a harmless puddle. He swiped through more of the tentacles as he once again to get closer to the being. He spotted a strange glow in the center of the being, no doubt was it the crystal, but that let his guard down and was pushed back by a tentacle and crashed into a tree. Rayne began to consider another tactic and vanished into mist. It moved closer back to the center, and Rayne reappeared, cutting a hole in the being and grabbing the glowing object, and vanished back into mist... Dead Alice
"Here it is..." said Aris as he set Azaria down. They were in some sort of ruin. Bits and pieces of demolished buildings were scattered everywhere. It seemed there were graves also. There were no plants, not even grass, but there were still trees surrounding the area. There was a chill in the air, and Azaria knew it wasn't from the temperature. Dark clouds cast illusionary night on the cold ground. "What happened here?" Azaria asked out of curiousity rather than fear. Aris was silent. He walked over to one of the graves and sat with his back against it. "Will we be safe here?" Aris nodded slowly. "I hope so." Azaria:Why would you take me to a place so special to you? Aris:To...protect you. Come on, my father's quarters are inside the main temple. We ought to be able to rest for a while, among other things. Azaria looked down, noticing that Aris had put a splint on her ankle and used some numbweed to dull the pain. She wrapped her arms around his neck, noticing at last the jolt the motion gave Aris....and her. Aris:This is where my father stayed. Until...then. He layed Azaris down in a lovely, king-sized bed. The test of time had missed the chamber somehow. The beautiful room was filledr with beautiful tapestries showing the history of the Drow...ending in a seemingly foretold birth. Aris' birth. Azaria:But...how....are we staying hidden? Aris:Only people who are led here or who were born here know of this place. Meaning just you and me. Nobody else.... Azaria:Ok.... Aris:Azaria, how do you feel about me?
Kanariya
Ushina had caught a glimpse of something turn and run, then she dropped the zombie onto the ground, from the high tree she was in. She smelt the air, and she made her face in disgust. "He was here...that bastard running away from me," Ushina muttered to herself, smelling the air even more. The scent of his blood had filled little of the air, but she could still smell it. It disgusted her, but using this wizard to her advantage would do Rayne good. "Where'd he go.." Ushina said, dropping down from the tree she had been in. She crawled onto the ground, and looked like a spy. "He's closeby. I can still smell him, and if I use my wings, it'll be much better to catch him," Ushina said to herself. She after stood up straight, and looked around in a straight posture. She closed her eyes, and began to wince. Suddenly, in the back of her dress, it ripped, making a very loud sound, that echoed through the trees. Black wings soon sprouted from her back, and she closed her eyes shut, with the pain of her wings coming out of her back. It had been 40 years since she had released her wings, after all. The wings soon sprouted, and she stood up straight, smirking in satisfaction. Black, large wings were freed of her back, with some red feathers on the wings, matching with her outfit. "Come back here," she mumbled. She began flapping her wings, then soon, was flying after the wizard.
inti
Varidos was hiding underneath a large bush when the vampire demon sprouted its...no...her wings. He saw her lift into the air, and decided to make life easier. For himself. 'Hsinimid' he muttered. Ushina's wings dissolved for a few seconds, dropping her to the ground. She swore. Varidos took his chance and ran, muttering the invisibility spell again. It was a pity the invisibility spell didn't stop Varidos from kicking up leaves and sticks as he ran. Ushina flapped her wings, after regaining use of them, and divebombed him. 'SIT STILL, WORM!' she screamed at the squirming form that was Varidos. Why did I have to be the one that ran into a demon? Why couldn't I have just run into a few hippie elves? He immediately took back his last thought. Anything was better than the elf hippies.
Dead Alice
"What do you mean?" Azaria asked in confusion. Aris sighed. "Azaria..." he spoke softly, looking into her eyes. "What do you feel...?" He placed his hand on hers. She felt a wave of mixed emotions, yet part of her knew she enjoyed his touch. "Sadness... pain... strength... friendship... confusion... warmth..... comfort." Azaria turned slightly pink and turned away from Aris's gaze. His eyes are so deep... It's like he can see into your soul... "The world will not be at peace for long..." Aris said to himself, walking away from Azaria and pretending to examine one of the tapestries. "I wish Ferilan were here..." said Azaria so quietly that Aris didn't hear her. I see a great warrior in his eyes... but he is full of sadness... or perhaps loneliness...
Talon
Aris walked over to a bust of his father, knowing what she was feeling. He snapped back the head of the warrior's bust, revealing a small, magical gem. Aris touched it. Aris:Fome alanis katoll! A whole wall of the room vanished, revealing a training hall of sorts. Azaria stared as Aris removed his shirt and picked up a pair of daggers. Azaria couldn't help but watch as Aris began to attack a mess of elf-shaped dummies, who, enchanted to act as real warriors, attacked back. Azaria stared as Aris' body moved with a lethal grace, slashing the red off-gem that "killed" each dummy in turn. His muscles rippling, the sweat shining on his brow in the chandelier light, and the look of intense concentration mixed with light relaxation and ease made for a very off-putting show, especially as Aris supple movements drifted closer to Azaria. She looked up as if from a trance as Aris returned to her side, his practice finished. His body showed no signs of strain apart from his sweat. Then he grinned haphazardly, grasping the red gem again with his whole hand. Giant dummies bearing real weapons, large clubs and swords, mostly, appeared. Ogres. Aris dropped his daggers and rushed into the fray, attacking with reckless abandon and wolfish lust for drawn blood. Azaria stared as wound after wound opened on his bare chest and arms, nearly crying out for him to stop. And stop he did, when the last ogre-dummy fell to the ground, "unconscious". Blood all but poured from Aris' wounds, and Aris walked steadily to Azaria's bed. He bent down and grapsed her chin gently, lifting her head and kissing her deeply, just once with all his might, and then turned away. It wouldn't do for Azaria to see his tears, not after what he'd done. Aris:That is how I feel about you. I know that for sure. He walked to his sleeping roll, not even bandaging the already-clotting wounds on his torso. He didn't have to look to know that Azaria was touching her lips and looking shocked, as if she'd seen Father Tobias in a brothel. He forced himself to sleep on his side facing away from the now-paralyzed girl, even though a particularly cruel wound was open on that shoulder and another at his waist. He cried as he fell asleep at last to the Drow Five-Hundred-Breaths.
Dead Alice
"A..ris..." Azaria could feel her heart beating. He kissed me... and I liked it... but something is telling me... I can't have him... She felt her eyes welling up with tears. You cannot love him, Azaria. But... I think I've finally realized... No. Don't listen to what your heart tells you. Everything is just a lie. Everything... is... a lie? You cannot trust anyone. Love only leads to betrayal. Yes... Betrayal... Go to sleep now... Azaria cried herself to sleep. She was in a dream world... A world of darkness... The only light was from the floor, an intricate circle of designs upon which she was standing. She was alone. If I can walk... One step outside the circle and she fell, slowly into oblivion. Even as her lungs dared to scream, no sound escaped. She landed on another circle... or was it the same one? "Hello?" she called, but still the air carried no sound. She felt something drip onto her face, like water. But it was red. Drops of blood began to fall from above, and she forced herself to wake up. "A-aris..." Talon
Azaria crept over to Aris, whose normally pale skin had turned bleach white. Not a good sign. She lifted her hand to touch her chin, bloody where Aris' hand had grasped it. She shook him. He didn't wake up. She tried to heal him. It worked. She sighed with relief. Healing didn't work on dead men. But why wouldn't he wake? Dreamscape Aris threw himself against the bars of his prison, trying his best to break free. A shadowy figure in the background laughed heartily at the Drow's futile attempts. Figure:You honestly expect to break free from a cell of your own making? Aris:WHAT DO YOU MEAN?!?!?! Figure:Temper, temper, Aris. Face it. You cannot have her. Everything's a lie. Life, love. None of it matters. Aris:You're wrong! It does matter! Everything matters! Figure:You are extremely stubborn, little brat. But it doesn't matter. You realize that once she falls, you will have either to slay her or yourself. Aris:.....yes. And I choose to slay myself, if the time comes. If my love for her is not enough to save her. End Dreamscape Aris:.....yes. And I choose to slay myself, if the time comes. If my love for her is not enough to save her. Azaria stared, having heard every bit of Aris' conversation in his dream. Every word he'd said in his dream, he had said in reality. And Azaria cried. Aris had resigned himself to die....for her. No, it couldn't be her.....but what about the kiss? What about the blood and the burn? Did Aris truly feel that way about her? It didn't matter. She decided she'd act upon it later, after Aris healed and woke up of his own accord. She just didn't expect him to wake up right then and there, still bleeding from open wounds. He did. And he cried.
