Churchasian Riddel stood up and looked out over the horizon. If you could call it that. It was just barren rock. Thats all it was now.

Church had been forced to go on a school feild trip to paris France. She was reluctant to go but did any way. When thier assistant teacher had come to get them for the flight home they were locked in some sort of infanent void. Like suspended animation. They din't know that they had been locked in there for about a thousand years and the apocolips had occered. Everything was wiped out. Thats where they were now. Her and two class mates and a teacher. Just great.

Church threw her cigerett on the red dirt and walked off, away from Jean Lucida and Matt.

"Hey! stay here!" Matt yelled after her. She countinued to walk. He looked down at her burning cigeret on the ground. "Wait...Church you have a lighter?"

"It doesn't matter." She answered without looking back.

"But we have fire! we could cook-" he was cut off by Church. "And what do you propose we cook? We have no food."

"We could find something! like an animal...or...something." Matt said this slowly.

She turned around now. "What do you think we'll find out here? You think we''l just be walking and come apon a flowing fountian with hoola dancers and margaritas(sp?lol)" Church was face to face with him now. "no...we're all gunna die out here. live with it...or...dont!" She turned and walked off again. She grabbed her book bag, took out a pencil and drew.

She looked up and over at Jean. "What are you looking at?" Jean quickly took his eyes back to himself.

Matt walked off a bit. He sighed to himself thinking.

[i]All I wanted was to be a teacher...[/i] he thought. [i]Where is everyone? How come the planet is bare?[/i]

There were so many questions that had to be answered. He backtracked a bit. So he walked up the stairs. Opened the door. Closed the door. Opened his eyes and here he was. Maybe this was all a joke. Maybe he was dreaming. Maybe not...

"What the heck happened!?" yelled Matt. No one could come up with an answer.

"We're all going to die of thirst or starvation if we don't stick together." said Matt. It was true. Nothing was around.

"Look I know how to survive out here. Just stick with me." said Matt. He started to dig a hole in the ground with his hands. He then pulled out an empty water bottle and placed it in the middle of the hole. He pulled out some plastic wrapping and put it over the hole, covering it. He kept it in place with a stone on each corner. Then he put a rock on the middle of the sheet, right above the bottle.

"What's that?" asked Church. "And how is it going to help us?"

"Well.. I'm not sure how but the water from the ground will be extracted into the bottle by using the plastic sheet and the sun of course." explained Matt.

If it worked then they might not die of thirst.[/size]

Church began to laugh.

"And where...do you propose...the dirt has water in it?" Church was right. he ground was dryed out and sulken. "It doesn't matter anyway...We cant live on water alone! Besides..." Church grabed her book bag and unzipped it. She pulled out three bottles of water. "we have water"

Lucida sighed. This wasen't going well. She pulled out her drawing supplies and drawing pad and got to work. If she was going to survive with these people she'll have to keep her cool. Lucida looked up from her drawing and watched Church for a while. If she didn't do something soon she was going to go nuts. Lucida returned to her drawing and finished then placed it back in her backpack. She stood up and dusted off her pants.
"So what do we do now?" she asked herself.
Lucida started to walk away. She needed time to thing and time to get away from these people.

Jean looked over the barron waste land.
" So, we're hear with some T.A.?" he said." Joyous." Jean then picked up a stick from the ground and started twirling it." You know, if there are mutant people around I don't think teachy over there could save us." he con't.
" And you think you could?" Matt asked.
"Not saying I can. Then again, I'm not saying that I can't." Jean repiled arogently.

"morons. You people think that your gunna live out here? We're all gunna die." Church lit up another cigeret. She walked away until she wasn't in clear sight of them any more. She sat down in a hole in the ground. It was only about 1 foot deep but it provided some shade. It was atleast as hot as hell.

Church took off her over shirt, so that she was only wearing a tanktop. "DAMN! WHY IS IT SO FUCKING HOT!?" She screamed across the barren desert. She opened up her book bag and took out 1 of the 3 bottles of watter. [i]I'm suprised that they didn't want any[/i] She asked herself. [i]oh well...more for me![/i]

Church suddenly started to choke on her watter and started coughing. She fainted and fell over an the hot dusty ground.

Lucida looked up. "Where's Church?" Lucida asked. When no one gave her an answer she took off looking for Church.
"Church!" she called into the barren wasteland.
No answer still. "Where did Church go. Was she in trouble. Was she hurt." Lucida thought.
Lucida climbed upon a dusty hill and spotted something close by.
Was it Church? Lucida took off in that direction worried.

"Ummmm" Jean started," What was that all about?"
" Come on! We're going to find Church!" Matt ordered. Jean stopped twirling the stick and sat on the ground, pulled out his knife and started carving into the ground," Nope, you go on ahead i'm bored." Matt just looked at him in disgust, " You truely are sad." he stated and ran off after lucida

Churchaisian moaned and spat out dirt. "UH..........god.........WHAT THE ****?!!"
She sat up and put her head between her knees. "Not now........" she said "ow....****......." Soon she started to feel better and she stood up. Her foot hit muddy ground.

"AW ****!" she yelled as she saw her water bottles emptey. Lucidia finnally ran up to her and looked down into the slight hole she was in. "Are you all right?"

"Why wouldn't I be alright? I'm just ******* FINE!" She yelled at Lucida then climbed out of the didtch. Matt then ran up to them "Are...you alright?" He asked.

"Why don't you people think I can take care of myself?!?! I'M LIKE A HELPLESS CHILD!!" She yelled out into the deasert. "WHATS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE."

"Church calm down!" Matt said...trying to calm her down. She suddenly stopped and looked at him. "I'm calm." she said re asuringly. "I look calm right?"

"Now you do." Matt said.

Church walked up to him and put her face close to his. "GOOD!" she screamed in his face. Then walked back to there "camp". There little circle of dust is better. "I'm going to sleep." she said as she walked back, her book bag slung on one shoulder.

Matt soon realized that the deeper you dug, the colder it got. So he just kept digging a large hole.. almost like a grave, until it was sort of cool. He was laying in clay instead of sand now. It was nice. He made a small pillow out of some more clay and looked up, out of his whole to see a shadowed figure standing there.

"Who is it, I can't see because that darned sun." asked Matt.

Church sunk into her little hole of a bed deeply, and put a jacket over her head. "god you people." She wispered to herself. After a few minutes of silence she finally took the jacket off her head and dug through her book bag. She pulled out a small pocket knife. "I'm so ******* sick of this." She held the blade to her wrist and cut in deeply, letting the blood drip to the ground. She put her mout to the cut and be gan to drink her blood [VAMPIRE!!] "Well atleast I'm not thirsty." She said as she whiped the blood off of her now pale face.

"No ones gunna come with yaz Ma--" she stopped and sat bach down deeply when she saw there was someone talking to him. "meh"

"Well, if you need help just nudge me." so Matt turned his back and fell asleep.

He must've been sleeping for a while for when he woke up there was no one around. They had left him. Figures. Oh well he'd have to do on his own. He started to get up. Yup, no one anywhere. He'd probably die of thirst or go crazy and kill himself. That wouldn't be very nice. He sighed. This was not working out the way he would've liked it. If only the others co-operated with him.

Suddenly he got a kick in the head.

"ow!" he yelled then looked around to see who had almost given him a cuncusion.

"Shut up and get up." Church said as she lifted him to his feet. "theres a hole about 3 yards back that way. You cant see it but its got water down in the bottom I sugest you take a drink. Theres not alot and wee need all we can get."

"I just looked down that way! there was no one there!" mat said to himelf.

"like I said. Hole. Over there. Get a damn drink." Church picked up her bookbag. Matt noticed that her bag was soaked with blood. and her wrist was slightly dripping with blood.

"you look kind of pale there Church." Matt said rather smugly.

"Shut up." Church said countinuing to walk. "Just shut up if you want to live"

Lucida looked at everyone.
"Why are we fighting!!" she yelled.
Everyone looked at her because of her sudden outburst.
"We should be helping each other!" she cried
For some reason she started crying. She threw down her backpack and ran off. She coulden't take this anymore.
"Luci-" yelled Matt.
But he was too late.
Lucida was gone.

Jean watched as Luci ran off. " Way to go there Teachy!" Jean started laughing and walkied towards where the girl ran off.
" HEY!" he yelled trying to find her ( OOC: wow jean helping go figure) " Where'd ya go?! Why'd you run off? It's not like we want to fight, it's just that we do." he continued, evidently talking to him self..... ( OOC: I'm not going to take 'control' of other people's characters in my own replies. Standards of another vB site)

Church sipped some water and spit it back out on the ground. in under a minute, the water had evaporated. "heh..its too hot out here!" She winned to herself. "Damn...I have to get outa here." She was still talking to herself. She got up and walked away, towrdes where Luci ran off to.

"Graet! now you'r leaving too?" Matt yelled after her. "Damn."
