OOC: Wow, it's been a while since I've RP'd. I'll have to take some time to warm up. Also, what occurs in this post is not known to the other crew members. It goes on in his mind, and will reveal itself later. Though on my terms. Also, since Skedy's quitting of this RP, I will take over his character.

Adam stayed sitting as Chubb, Trini, and Van left to check out the medical bay. He kept staring across the room, looking at Lilia. She didn't notice. He had picked up sunglasses that were like a one-way mirror; no one could see his eyes, but he could see them. It was fun, though, some good looking. Adam wouldn't usually do this sort or thing, no, not at all. The voice had told him to. The voice tells him lots of things. It tells him its dreams, his dreams. It tells Adam all that he could have.

Lilia looked up. "Must you wear those glasses? It's not like it's completely blinding in here."

Adam didn't move.
You could have her. She would be yours through it all. She won't resist.

"Hello, I'm talking to you."

Adam took a sip of his coke. "What, does it make you uncomfortable?"

"Yes, it does."

"Fine then." Adam took off his sunglasses and put on his real ones. Now he really looked the part of the dorky engineer. "Yo, big, dumb and ugly. You don't look too good."

"**** off."
That's right. Get him angry. Get the psycho started.

"Woah big guy, settle down. I'm beginning to think we should lock you up like the other freak." Good, send him in with me. That'll make two.

"I don't believe thi-"

"You don't have to. You aren't here to think. You're the big brick wall here to keep us in line. Nothing but a bully in a grown-up school yard." Yes, **** with him. Get him kicked off.

"I don't believe this ****." Nathan got up from his seat and picked up Adam by the shirt, spilling his drink all over them. "You ever say anything like that again," he saw Adam began to sweat, "You won't be able to say anything ever again." Yes, break the kids face. He won't care. I won't care. I won't feel it.

Nathan put Adam down as Lilia came over to break up the fight. "Boys, stop this. You're acting like children." She slapped Adam, hard. "You should be ashamed of yourself." She turned to Nathan. "You need to calm down. Aparently you two can't be in the same room together, even after three hours. Come with me." She led Nathan out by the hand.

Well, I was hoping sweetreyes would post, but alas, she has not.
I'll describe the medical bay then.
Also, if anyone sees either sweetreyes or Dagger around, make sure to tell them the RPG is back up. They haven't replied at all to the PM I sent out..
???
Allen- "Where'd Nicky go?" Trini shrugged.

Trini- "I think he left some time after we got to the mess hall, probably to go do some little damage control report. I don'tt hink we were supoosed to know about the ships 'computer'..." She shook her head. Allen grimaced.

Allen- "What were they thinking? It's a biological substance... Biological things tend to get sick." Van nudged Allen in the side.

Van- "That's probably one of our 'extracurricular activities'."

Allen- "Hmmm..." The hallways were wide. Wide enough for the three of them to walk side-by-side. Small screens showing the main menu of the ship were built into the walls at intervals. Small sensor boquets stuck out of the corners above these screens. They reached the elevator. Allen pressed the up button.

Computer- "Unidentified DNA, please state your name and rank." The three of them exchanged a look of surprise.

Allen- "Umm... Allen Chubbs, Captain."

Computer- "Voice print confirmed. Your DNA will now be accepted throughout the ship, Captain Allen Chubbs." The doors to a cylindrical elevator slid open. They stepped in.

Allen- "Third floor, right?" Van and Trini nodded. "Going up." He pressed the third floor button and blinked in surprise as the doors opened into the third floor hallway almost immediately. "Whoa..."

Nicholas- "Indeed." Nicholas stepped into view from just outside the elevator. "The elevators use anti-grav plating to move undetectably from floor to floor at great speeds." He looked over the three crew members. "Going to the medical bay?"

Van- "Yes we are, and where are you going?" He smiled his slimy lawyer smile. Van nodded. "With us, right?"

Nicholas- "Absolutely. This way please." He began walking toward the rear of the ship. "The first level is the smallest level. It has the bridge, the com room, the armory, and the medical bay." He pointed behind the group. "The bridge is that way. These two doors," he jutted his thumbs on either side of him, "lead to the com room and the armory. The door down there at the end is the medical bay." Van nudged Trini. They were both grinning.

Van- "I'm dyin', no pun intended, to get a look at this place." Allen glanced back and saw Van the happiest he'd been since they went to Sam's house a couple month before. He looked like a giddy schoolboy. Allen smiled back.

Allen- "Down boy, don't piss your pants over some rubber gloves and scalples." He pushed Allen forward a little and laughed. Nicholas cleared his throat, announcing they were there.

Nicholas- "There is some extremely fragile equipment in here, make sure you don't break anyth-"

Van- "I'm a doctor! I know how to be careful. Now open the door!" Nicholas sighed exaperatedly and passed his security card over the panel. The door slid open and Van rushed inside. Trini followed.

Allen- "So when are we getting security cards?"

Nicholas- "You won't be. After we take off, most of the doors will be set to detect human bio-signs and open whenever someone gets close. This is so the gaurds from the facility don't decide to screw around." Allen nodded and walked in.

Van- "My God! Look at it all, Allen!" To the immediate right were several raised beds standing on a singular support pillar. Each had a series of instruments hanging over it. They looked to be diagnostic and monitoring devices. The beds were coverd with a retractible plastic shield at where the head would rest. Behind the beds was a larde steel wall with about twenty 'corpse closets', also know as human body storage spaces. Each was marked with the biohazard symbol. Toward the back of the room was a large grouping of computer consoles and movable displays. They all showed the same medical center screen. Towards the beck left was a small enclosed room with two desks and two personal computers, for Van and Trini obviously. On the left side was a door, and towards the the entrance of the medical bay on the left side was a supply closet. An interesting sphere hung suspended about a foot from the tenfoot cieling in the center of the room. It seemed to be giving off the light for the room, but when looking at it all you could see was a simple white sphere.

Trini- "I've never seen such a facility on a ship before..." She was busy exploring the functions of the computer. "Allen! We can do quantum and temporal scans! This is brand new technology!" Allen was walking toward the door on the left.

Allen- "Cool... Hey Nick, what's this?" Allen knocked ont he windowless, hingeless, and latchless door.

Nicholas- "This is where your friend Sam Tiller will be spending the trip, or at least most of it. The door can only be opened by a card found in Van's desk. It's completely antigravity, Sam will be suspended in the center unable to cause harm to himself via the walls. There are four low yield plasma cannons placed on each wall that are targeted to shoot any non-human entities that they detect. The wast from the entities is then ejected into the matter bursts from the PIBPs (Plasma Injector Burst Pods) incenerating it instantly. It's a perfect system." He walked into the office and grabbed the entry card. He stuck it into a barely visible slit in the wall and pulled it out. Several mechanical clunks sounded all around the indentation, and the light grey door slid quickly up into the walls.

Allen- "Are you sure it's perfect?" Nicholas gave him a dry smile.

Nicholas- "I asked you to have a little faith, Captain. Please do so." Allen nodded and watched as Nicholas slid the card back in, the door decending back into place. He handed the card to Van. "Keep it safe."

Alright so my Medical Bay is all prepped and ready for action, let's get this show on the road. I do hope you don't mind my little addition to the crew KoTR, it was just an idea I was playing around with.

--------------

Van held the card in between his index and middle finger for a moment before tossing it into the air, and landing it safely in the top pocket of his coat. Wyler gave off a disapproving frown before deciding to make an exit before he was asked to leave, Allen muttered something about him being an "uptight S.O.B." before making an examination of the nearest shiny object. Van chuckled for a moment before making his own judgements about their Sick-Bay, he knew that it'd want to be one of the most advanced area of the ship if they were to stand any chances of surviving this little camping exercise. Trini was busy over at her desk leafing through a few files on her computer before becoming fixated by one particular piece of the Sick-Bay's equipment.

Trini: VAN, Van come quick and look at this.

Van: What is it Trini ?, [Looks at the object in question] Oh my God.

Allen: [Looks confused] So what is it that you're both so impressed at ?

Trini and Van: [Smiles of excitement] We've got a hot beverage maker !!

Allen: What ?

Van: [Still gleefully smiling] Yep, hot tea and no need to go to the Mess hall.

Trini: [Giggles] Yeah hot coffee right when we want it.

Allen: [Jealously] Oh that's so unfair, why should the Meds always get the best stuff.

Van: You're welcome to a cup anytime you here. Anyway the tea maker aside I've got some more work to do before I give this place my seal of approval. [Goes to sit at desk].

Computerised Voice: Greetings Chief Medical Officer, please Log in.

Van: Van Ambrose, Chief Medical Officer.

Computerised Voice: Please imprint D.N.A seal.

Van placed his index finger down on the small glowing paddle for a number of second before the same voice chimed back a cheerful "Thank you", Van laughed and said that he'd always wanted a computer with some personality to it. He looked around at the different menus displayed on the computer screen before finally touching his finger against the option "Equipment", it opened up a whole new set of directories. Van recognised about 75% of what was being displayed but there were several new pieces of Medical Technology on the menu which he did not recognise, one in particular was something that piqued his interest.

Van: Computer, please activate Holographic Assistant Physician.

Van watched in awe as a person seemingly materialised right in the center of the room, it was male and made it way over to Van with a smile on his face. Trini and Allen were in a similar state of shock but it seemed to pass quite quickly as the "person" spoke.

Hologram: Greetings Dr Van Ambrose, I am the Holographic Assistant Physician but for ease of conversation I have been given the name Quinn. I am here to aid you in your duties as Chief Medical Officer as well as those of your assistant, Dr Trini Angelo (Is Trini a doctor, I can't remember).

Van: [Regaining composure and smiling] Well thank you Quinn, I look forward to working with you, I have a question though if you wouldn't mind answering.

Quinn: [Smiling] By all means Dr Ambrose.

Van: Are you linked to the Android Unit like most of the ship ?

Quinn: No Dr Ambrose, I am a completely self-sustained program operating without the input of the Android Unit.

Van: Alright, just one more thing Quinn, as long as we're working together I'd like you to call me Van.

Quinn: As you wish... Van.

Van was intrigued by what seemed as an almost human reaction, he decided to ask Quinn a few more questions regarding himself and the Medical Bay.

Van: Quinn, do you possess sentience or are your reactions pre-programmed ?

Quinn: I am a fully sentient person capable of every sensation, action, reaction and emotion of a human being.

Van: Emotion ?

Quinn: Yes, I am also capable of moving freely throughout this ship thanks to the multiple Holographic Projectors.

Van: Quinn I was wondering if you could give me a hand and explain to me what some of this extra equipment that I'm not familiar with does.

Allen and Trini had already slipped out while Van and Quinn were talking to have a discussion on this new "person" they'd be interacting with...

I was busy there Corey... but alas I guess u couldn't wait a other day for lil ole me to get myself right for this. Oh well I guess I can do that now then! HAHAHAHAHA!

Trini was stil in awe seeing the medical room stocked with things she had only imagined using. Well not that she actualy had time to imagine things like tha anymore. As she thought about the room that would hold Sam her mind went immediately to how he once was ans she and Allen left the room. He started the conversation but wasn;t paying in particular attention to her body or facial expressions.

"So whad' ya think of it?" He smiled snapping her out of her very brieft lapse in thougth.

"Oh," she replied looking back at him and smiling." It's great, I mean who would've imagined a ship like this."

"Yeah it's freaking awesome," he replied looking briefly at her then motioning his head to the Med Bay doors. "But what about your lil "assistant" in there. How do you think you'll work with him."

She shrugged her shoulders letting out a sigh as she tried to collect her though. Feeling her neck tightening she rolled her head around on her shoulders and then placed her hands on her shoulders trying to relaes the bit of tension that seemd to grow within it.

"I'm not sure about it yet. I mean it seems that it'll be great to have a holograhic database come to you in a time of need. But-" he cut her off mid sentence knowing exactly where she was headed.

" It's nothing like the real thing."

She took her hands off her shoulders and and clasped them in front of her. "Yeah.. I mean I love the adrenaline rush you get when in an emergency situation. But Im not sure how m going to be able to work with this."

Allen seemed ready to butt in but she hurried and finished her sentence before he could speak.

"But," she said, placing her hand up stopping him from speaking," I'll do it. This isn't for me, or you, or Van or anyone else on this ship Allan, we're doing this for Sam. He needs us and I know I must do it.... for him.".

Nathan was standing under the steady, hot flow of recycled water coming out of the showerhead in his cabin. His teeth ground in his head, as he concentrated all of his energy on one thing. Adam.

What was up with that? Something was going down, surely. Adam was... either socially inept, or something was already wrong. Wrong, wrong, that is.

And the brains...not otherwise disgusting, but the whole...remoteness and coldness of it. Nathan had done some horrible things in the name of money, but the...

Yech.

Nathan turned off the water, and stepped out of the shower cubicle, taking a moment to bask under the heating system. Towelling himself off, Nathan put his clothes back on, and exited the room, locking the door securely.

He trudged around the hallways, trying to memorise the location of every room without the use of maps. If something happened...well, instinct was going to be the most important part.

Lilia silently activated the seal on her own living quarters and stood at the small end table. With sure movements, not even glancing over her shoulder to the mirror, she unzipped her pants from behind and let the cool linen slither down her thighs to her ankles. Then she unbuttoned her blazer slowly, deliberately, and hung it up in the closet along with her pants and dress shirt. Clad in a clear thong she padded over the cool floor barefoot and was about to turn on the water for the shower when came a light tap on the door.

"......no rest for the wicked.... ....and no balm in Gilead either."

She turned and opened the seal, wrapping herself in a towel at the same time.

"Come in."

"Lilia....is this a ....bad time?"

"Not exactly."

She looked up at Nathan.

"Just exploring the ship. Trying to get everything together."

"Well, as you can see....these are the living quarters of your Communications Specialist."

She grinned wryly at him. ....the towel was a push in the right direction too.

"Right. Well, just checking by. See ya."

"....ta."

Lilia blinked, then sealed the door once he left. Then, before anyone else could get to her, she leaped for the shower, stripped and jumped in, turning the water as hot as it would go.

"...lalalala, I can't hear you."

OOC: Please excuse the strangeness of the format. My computer is being an idiot.

Her insanity trickled down her face in long lines of water. Half way through the shower she had turned it to 50 degrees F and was now feeling the consequences. She contracted her muscles slowly, then released. Eventually, her sanity gave way and she sank to her knees in the shower, the ice cold water still pouring down her face. Lilia sighed deeply, then lenaed back and opened her mouth. The water filled her mouth, her eyes welled up with tears, everything blurred, her mind began to become fuzzy.

Then she felt a hand connect with her face, knocking her backwards into the corner. The water stopped and she looked up, dizzying pain. Nothing.

Her eyes cleared, Lilia was aware. But either she was really losing it, or .....nah, she's fine. No mark on her face, the water was automatically turneed off. Her body was normal. She stood shakily, slightly stunned at her own instability. With quick movements, she brushed the excess water off her skin, and slid on the simple black lingerie she had used for years. A simple shift of black cotton, a quick transmission to her relatives,

"I love bio eletronic navigation systems. Leave my room as is. Sell the remaining three pythons. Plant the hostas before May 15th. We blast off soon. Ta."

OOC: Sleep is for the weak... Or so I've been told... I should really show some weakness, but I'm not at all tired.

IC: Nicholas Wyler flicked the off button on his small laptop computer with a distinct air of irritation. The launch was a go. That wasn't what was irritating. The small incident of the crew discovering the 'core' was just that, small. Perhaps it was a good thing they had found out sooner rather then later. But that wasn't it either. The ship was in perfect condition. Not a molecule was out of place, nor was a single system malfunctioning. That wasn't it. What was irritating was that Nicholas was having trouble securing his passage on the mission. He had told the crew of the Dominion he would be coming along on the mission.

One way or the other, he would go. His commander wouldn't allow it. He had pleaded with the Red Party's council to go on the mission as an 'observer'. They had seemed slightly interested in a first hand account of how the new technologies they were implementing would work out. But his damn commander... He had spoken with them aswell. He had an assignment on Earth schedueled during the run of the Tiller Mission, as they called it. He was to infiltrate and become a vital member of a certain political cabinate in Europe. He had argued the invalidity of his current assignment with the massive amounts of information that could be gained by the one he wanted to partake in.

It seemed he was losing. The council had promised to give him an answer within two hours.

They had twenty minutes left.
Nicholas flopped down on his bed and began planning his actions if he didn't get the answer he wanted.

Trini could only laugh hear Allen's voice tell her and Van to leave the Medical Bay equipment alone. Van also laughed hearing the news himself.

"Always has to spoil our fun doenst he," she asked Van who was in the process of continuing the set up of the med bay.

So far everything had been great. The equipment, the intrusments, some she thought she'd never see in her life. But all the same awesome. She was returning some equipment to the cabinets when Van sat down and finally answered.

"That's Allen for you. He never changes."

"That's very true,"she replied, closing the cabinet and walking over to Van finding the nearest chair.

"So are you ready. Less than 10 hours and we're gone."

"I think so," she let out a long sigh and sat back looking at the ceiliong of the med bay. Its bright lights momentarily blinding her before her eyes adjusted. "I just hope that Sam transports okay. Seeing the condition he is in."

"Well," Van said adjusting himself in the chair,"...that we will have to see. But lets get outta here, We do need our rest. It's Captain's orders."

Trini laughed a bit and walked out in front of Van as he called for the emercany lights to be left on. They moved towards the crew cabins and split off to her room.

"Sleep well Trini," he called out to her.

"You too."

??- "Not yet... Almost... But not yet..."
???

Allen sat straight up in bed. The hours had passed with ease he was unaccustomed to. Dreamless yet invigorating. He stood up slowly, letting his body adjust to the vertical position, and stretched. His back popped audibly and he grimaced. Getting old was a *****.

Rubbing his back slightly, Allen made his way to the closet and opened it. He saw a grey jumpsuit with his name stitched onto the left chest region. Grimacing, Allen shoved it out of the way and located a white t-shirt and a pair of bluejeans. He slipped into them, put on a plain black belt, and headed for the mess hall.
???

Nicholas Wyler flicked off his laptop and smiled. Harsh actions were obviously not going to be needed today. The council had approved his participation on the Tiller Mission. He got up, slipped into a plain suit, and also headed for the mess hall.
???

Sam screamed in his cell.
