Everybody has had a snow-day right. Well if you haven?t than your missing out. No school, Parents still have to go to work, sounds great right. Well what happens when you have a week of snow-days. A WEEK. And you can?t get out of the house because everything is ice. Ill tell you what happens. You go insane. You beat every videogame you ever owned, realize that there inset anything on TV and there never has been, and that that fantasy you always had that if you just had more time, you really could get really good at your guitar, IF FLUSHED DOWN THE F^$% DRAIN. But hay I?m not complaining. I?m putting this maddening experience to good use.
So what would you do if you wear locked indoor four more then a week?

Well, I just happen to be lucky enough to live in a desert, where it has only snowed *lightly* 3 times my whole life. I enjoyed it those 3 times, but I also froze my butt off.

If I were stuck home for a week... I would probably do the same things that I do every day. Play videogames... watch TV... Listen to radio... sleep... go here... call up a few friends to share the misery with. Daily routine.

I never had a week long school vacation because of snow, but back when I was in 4th grade we had an ice storm and they closed the schools for a week.

The downside was that our cable went out, people lost power heat and phone service and my 89 year old aunt stayed with us for the week:eek: Also we couldn't go anywhere.

But it did warm up by the end of the week and we got our cable back on Wednesday. And we didn't lose any other service. Also, I didn't kill my brother!

I'd love to have a whole week of school off! I'd call my girlfriend, play video games, read, cook, and a whole lot of fun things!

I've only had 3 days off from school though due to snow days. But those three day's were three of the best days of my life. I didn't have to put up with racist hick crap. Ignorant teachers that I could run circles around intellectually. Or homework. IT WAS BLISSFULL HEAVEN!

and I didn't kill my brothers either... I maimed them. :D

Well, my school district just got a supervisor (or whoever's in charge of this kind of thing) who must be from Alaska or something. We just had about a foot of snow IN ONE NIGHT, and all the other schools around us were closed the next day.
We didn't even have a two-hour delay.
So the chances of me ever getting to see what I'd do during a week of snow days? Slim to nuttin'.
But I did have a slightly similar lapse of sanity after being quarantined for a week with mono. Then I caught it again! You can't catch a virus twice! I must be very special.

Where do you ppls live? I have never ever had even a day off let alone a week cause of snow and trust me there has been a lot of snow. One time there was like two feet of snow and growing with the temp.
-40 and windchill -52 and all schools were still open! That shouldn't happen, ever. That is so unfair. Anyway that was my rant.

If I did by some crazy chance have a week off of school I'd watch tv, surf the net, mess around w/ stuff, put my music on full blast, and all that good stuff.

I have never had a week off from snow, though I wish I did. I only have 4 days of a week off so far.
But your summer vacation would go bye bye anyways from snow. That's at least what would happen to me.

If I was off for a week...I would watch TV (something ONDemand or Comedy Central probably), beat another video game of mine, go on the computer, and eat. That's it, that's my dream life.

Plan A: I'd form my own school at home, then invite all the neighborhood kids to attend. They would ice skate over to my place and I would teach them rigorously for 12 hours per day. I'd lash them with CANES when their feeble minds could not comprehend a topic!!!!!!!

Plan B: Watch some soaps, eat some ice cream... Yeah. Sounds like less effort, actually.

Its actually snowing right now. It is coming down hard now. It is the late snow we should of had during Christmas. Oh well. The roads are really icy, but we still have to go to school. I'm in my computer class now. I hope it continues so that we don't have to go to school tomorrow so then we would get a 4 day weekend.

 • 2 weeks later...
We've had like 1 snowday in the past 20 years or something. It's always snowing up here. Actually the weather's really unpredictable. We could be dying on heat stroke in june, then the next day we have a few feet of snow outside our windows. :(

Anywho, back to the question. If I was stuck inside for a week, I would probably sleep a whole lot. A little bit of anime here, games there, maybe a call or two to the outside world (You know, make sure that there still is an outside world), but mostly sleep. Yeah, sleep is good...

We don't have snow days in Miami. We have hurricane days though, you board up the house and sleep all day since the power tends to go out. If you're lucky you may have a batter operated radio, but everything goes down eventually so yea, you sleep and when it's over you have a BBQ because electricity doesn't work.

For anyone that knows me, I think that you would know how I feel about snow!!! I LOVE IT!! I lived in Michigan for the first seven years of my life. I loved it! I miss it!! I moved down to Tennessee when I was (you guessed it) seven, and am very sad that I had to. I lived in East Detroit (now East Point), and moved to Franklin, TN when my dad was given a job working for Saturn (the car company). I don't regret that he is working for Saturn, but I do regret having to move away from all of my family.

Anyways, moving on to what the topic is -- I love snow!! The very first time that it snowed here in Tennesse when we moved down, it was nothing to us (the Michigan natives). I mean, we dealt with many inches of snow in Michigan. . When we moved to Tennessee, and there were a few inches of snow here, we decided, hey, it's time to get some groceries. When we went to the local Kroger's (our grocery story in the states), it was stormed by rednecks and hillbillies claiming that it was the end of the world. . (I kid you not!!). Well, everything was closed the next day. . I mean, EVERYTHING!! It was like a sick epidemic, that no one knew what was going on!! I was seriously disturbed. No one here knows how to drive or act when it snows, and that is a problem. Luckily, my family is very good at doing both, snow or not. So, anyways, behind our house is a decent size hill. . we love sledding down the hill, into small trees and many broken branches. . it's fun, especially when you aren't looking (via - sledding downhill lying down, facing up, and into the trees - head first). . it's awesome! lol. . So what do you guys do?

I livein Florida...what is this 'snow' that you speak of?

We don't have 'snow' daysa, we have something better: hurricane days! Nothing to help you enjoy your day off like packing up the mini-van and dashing for the other coast. Ah, memories.

I once lived in germany, and it snowed there, but we never got a 'day' for it, though. Doesn't matter; it was still great.

I live in North Carolina we might have a snow day tomarrow. Its cold not as cold as New York but still pretty cold. I'd be very surpirsed if we actually get a snow day though. Our school system sucks. The whole freak'in state could be out of school because of snow and we would still be going to class. If it was raining fire we would still be going to school ( I guess shouldn't expect much from the school that run out of food during lunch though)
The snow in central new york is appaling. I mean, it's just so damned cold, and the snow keeps comming down, and I have to shovel, and school's still open!

Camden central schools really bite the big one, oh well.

*gets off her soap box*
I remember those days when I lived in NY so much snow you couldn't even walk
okay no more membories. We don't have school today... I guess the schools are smarter than I thought. No body wants those Bus drivers that can't drive on the road today.I think they said its going to stop snowing Saturday or something like that.I have to baby sit but besides that and missing vacation time its not to bad.

Damn. Suddenly my life just doesn't make sense anymore.

It snows here constantly and the only thing I don't like about it is that I'm the one stuck shoveling it every time.

I live in Georgia, too, but I was sort of surprised that it had snowed. All of our teachers insisted that there was a rare chance of snow or ice. *sticks tongue out at them* Good thing that today was a snow day, I didn't do any of my homework.

I wasn't surprised that school was canceled, but it was stupid to do so. The roads were fine and everything...I'm not complaining, though. The sixth grade orchestra at my school was supposed to go Festival today. I sort of feel bad for my orchestra teacher. *shrugs*

*mumbles* Crazy kids...how can you be playing videogames when sleep is so good? My mom forced me to get up...=_=

We got out at 12:15 today, even though there wasn't snow on the ground. :P Oh well, it'll probably do something later.

It snows quite often here though, I've been off several times so far this school year, one time for a week.

I think the most snow I've ever seen here was when I was in the first grade and it snowed two feet. We were off for 2 weeks, but we had to make up for it.

Ah yes, snow days. *Grins* I love 'em - I know it sounds mean because some people have accidents because of the snow - but I really do. The last snow day we had at school was just before Christmas, we had got to school and then in the middle of the day the buses arrived. Yeah, I go on a bus to school, for the first time in my life, I love buses. Excuse me while I have a snow ball fight with my sister, (it started snowing again yesterday, or something.)
