Kanariya
At a Halloween Party last year, my friends and I had borrowed a movie from the girl next door, and it was called, 'Ghost Ship.' It was really an okay movie; it wasn't bad, neither was it excellent in my opinion. At some parts the movie just bored me, at some other parts I was into the movie (particularly when
the girl Katie comes more into the movie.
That was nearer to the end though) It seemed a little boring at the beginning, until next minute you know dead, bloody people are lying on the ground and a girl is screaming. Since of my blood and gore passion, I kept watching, and as I mentioned before, it ended up as an okay movie. The ending though pissed me off, but it did work for the movie. What I want to know are your opinions about this movie. Did you think it was okay, good, or bad?
Circ
The movie wasn't bad, the girl's flashback were pretty gory, but needed, I think. Such barbary. It gets sad at a point.
Heretic_Hatred
I saw this movie a couple of months ago. It wasn't that great of a movie, i expected more out of it. The beginning was kind of cool when everyone got sliced up, lol. Other then that, i have seen better horror movies.
Semjaza
Overall, I think the movie was not very good. However, I think it has one of the best openers in a horror movie that I've seen in a really long time. The opening had this cheesy old school look to the way it was filmed. In fact, it reminded me of Temple of Doom with the singer and overlay graphics. The opening death sequence rocked, end of story. I also liked how later in the movie they played out what really happened before the ship sunk Other than that, it was filler material. Hardly any of it was interesting and I couldn't care less what happened to anyone. I was also kind of annoyed by the gratutious use of industrial/electronica in a movie like this. It just wasn't suited for it.
Xyandar
I liked the movie but it isnt a movie i would rent again or buy at all. It was cool how people got sliced up and killed but still... they didnt have too much unique things in it that other movies dont... I first saw it in theatres with my friend and we thot it was good because it was great sound so we got the crap scared out of us at jumpy parts. When it came out on video me and my cousin rented it and I thought that it wasnt as good as when i watched it in theatres. Oh yeah when I watched it in theatres, in one part of the movie they are sitting down and if u look at the top you can see the microphone reaching down near them. The whole mic went on screen. My friend and I were laughin so hard! When I rented it the mic wasnt there. They must have edited it. I found that really funny! It ruined the freakiness 99 %!P
NorykoAngelcry
I wasn't really dissapointed with this movie, depressed is a better term? I knew it wasn't going to be scary, as most movies that claim to be aren't. But with the title of 'Ghost Ship' I expected it to be more of a horror movie then it turned out to be. Some good back story like many have said, but overall, it was too weak of a movie to really impress me. The saddest thing was that there were a lot of real talent that seemed wasted in this movie. For a movie that almost looked like it had some promise, it sadly failed.
