Lately i have become totally addicted to Reality TV. I watch any (reality TV) show that comes on! Last night I missed one and I started crying in front of the TV. I was uncontrollable for about 10 mins, until I realised that the TV Guide had an error and I hadn't actually missed the show! lol

But anyway who else loves reality TV? What are your favs?
I love Survivor, Average Joe, The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, What not to wear, My Restaurant Rules, The Simple Life, Meet my folks, Queer Eye - for the straight guy, The amazing Race....heaps!

I'm making a list. Can you help me. I'm doing this thing on Reality TV so let me know ur fav shows and I'll add them. I need as many as possible.

Thanx!

I only like Survivor, I have just watched the final of Pearl islands, my favourite of the seven I've seen, and am eagerly anticipating All Stars.

I haven't really got into any of the others, I don't like reality T.V as a genre much at all to be honest, I feel different to Survivor for whatever reason, it's my only exception heh.

I watch The Surreal Life every week. It is a Reality show about 5 or 6 celebrities that live in this house and have to deal with eachother and stuff. Its really interesting.
The Celebrities on now are Tammy Fae(Evangelist), Ron Jeremy(Porn Star), Vanilla Ice.AKA Rob(Rapper), Trichelle(Alcaholic from The Real World), Tracy i tink he name is...(From Baywatch). Theres another guy but I forgot his name.

I really like the show and will watch it until its over:)

The Surreal Life is pretty funny. . I often find myself wanting to question why some of these people even volunteered to be on this show. . but, I stop myself, finding that I really don't care. . lol

Some of my favorites (past or present):
Joe Millionare - Nothing like a bunch of women swearing that all they care about is finding a good guy, then when they don't think they are on camera, saying what they would do with all that money. . lol

Average Joe - Bunch of nerdy looking characters piling off a bus, staring at a beautiful woman, and not knowing what to say. . Every guy is competative, if put in the right scenario.

Those are probably two of my favorites, though I am usually amused with some of the others out there. . just can't think of them right now. I never really got into the favorites, like Survivor, the Bachelor series. . I will never watch The Simple Life, and rarely watch Meet my Folks. . Oh well. . some are my cup of tea, some aren't. I like to watch the occassional Reality show every now and then, but I don't freak out when I miss anything. I especially like Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. That is a very fun show. I also like to catch Fear Factor every now and then. And I miss that show that used to come on MTV, Fear. That show scared the bejeezus out of me.

Yeah. . I guess I didn't think of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy or Fear Factor. . both of those are pretty good shows, for two totally oposite reasons. .

For QE - It just helps everyone in little ways. I myself have gotten some cooking tips from the show. I don't really cook, but I have gotten a couple good recipes and a few drink ideas from them ^_^ Some of the fashions that they show I could easily put together, and will have to work on it a bit. I am usually the t-shirt and blue jeans guy, but had been trying to step it up a little bit beyond the 'button up shirt' as my only real upgrade. . lol, oh well. .least I know how to shave =P

For Fear Factor - I just enjoy some of these people that can't stand to eat some of the stuff that are thrown in front of them. . and on the same note, it's curious why some of these people will go through all of that just for a 'chance' to win some money. If I was on the show, I know it would be very different. . so, I can't really criticize them that much. . but, it's still a lot of fun to watch. I love Joe Rogan too, he is tons of fun (I miss News Radio . . =( *cries*) And ya, I agree with Semjaza -- It should be changed from Fear Factor to "Gonna Make You Eat Some Nasty Stuff!" . . what? No good?

Currently I love the Survivor All Stars, but only because I'm home every thuresday babysitting my little brother. I never really got into the whole reality TV thing, but I think survivor and Queer Eye are great.
The Bachlor and Blind Date and shows like that are just stupid if you ask me. My Big Fat ..Fiance is just cruel and Fear Factor is gross and disgusting.

I did watch Factor when it came out, but quit after the grossness started, I just couldn't watch it. It makes me gag.

Oh, and The Extreme Makeover show, and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (I think that's the name. It's the one where they do the houses.) are real cool cuz they help people who really deserve and need it.

The best one is definatley either The Apprentice or, not sure if this is considered reality T.V., but American Idol. The Apprentice is awesome just because of how all them get so mad at each other some times like when a "mission" goes wrong. And American Idol just because its American Idol, everyone loves it. ^_^.
Fear Factor has become incredibly stupid, I think. Nothing they have to do is "scary" anymore. It's all just gross. Half of the things they have to do involve eating something people would never want to eat. They need more originality.
I agree, and that's why I don't watch those shows anymore. At first when they had to eat gross stuff it was like "Ew, wow, I have to see this!" Now it's more like, "Oh, pig guts? *Shrugs and walks off*" Everytime I see an advertisement for that show, they always show what they have to eat. Yeah, it's pretty disgusting, but like you said, they could be a little more original...

Hmm. . a few more titles that you guys are bringing to my attention. . curse my short attention span when Adult Swim is on. . lol

Apprentice - Kind of comical, somewhat like Surviving Nugent (With Ted Nugent), where I have found that the last person one would think would get kicked out, turns out to be the first person Donald Trump ends up kicking out. I think some of the bickering between the 'teamates' is pretty funny. I mean, even if the person does win the game, what's to say that after the first week, he doesn't just drop them (off camera) to say, "Hey, you suck, bye!"

American Idol - Not a big fan of the regular show. . but the auditions are humerous and worth a few viewings. I think that Simon just tries a little too hard now to insult some of these people. I mean, I know he has every right to, but now that it's his 'angle' it is just a little stale. Still funny to watch some of these people that have no clue how bad they are. I know I am not a singer, even though sometimes I impress myself. . but, I am not trying to fool anyone.

I watch reality TV, it?s called the news. It?s on all the time too! Just turn on FOX, CNN, ABC or NBC. You?ll get reality TV that?s really cool and educational too.

In all seriousness, I really don?t like reality TV. It?s a pointless waste of time. I?d much rather be on the boards, doing homework, etc.

Call me an introvert, but I really don?t care what goes on between people who decided to go live in a random house, live on an island, hang with Donald Trump or live a simple life. It?s just not appealing to me, for the same reason I don?t like most TV shows.

It all boils down to ?Do I care? No.?

Well, Fox doesn't really have news all the time...mostly just crap, lol. "Now, PT, Fox has many quality shows and intelligent programming."

But, Boba, you don't find the educational value of watching Paris Hilton give a cow an enema? Or what about Donald Trump booting someone out of his office? Maybe we can learn something from watching people lay in a pile of...roaches, was it? Ah, all those Fear Factor shows are all alike.

My Reality TV comes from just walking around on campus. I just observe people. Learn a lot that way, and the trashiness, if there is any, is totally natural. ^_^

No.
Just...no.
If you seriously believe such, find your local mental hospital and commit yourself. Now.

Anyway...the reality shows have gotten a little ridiculous. The original 3 Survivors were fun (even though I never saw the 1st one), and I'm very sad I miss All Stars (I'm in class Thursday nights), just because Jerry is there. After I lost interest in that, nothing really had any pull for me anymore. Add to that the fact they got into the relationship aspect of things which just...no. I'm not interested in watching sluts volley for the attention of the biggest jock from Hillside Valley High, thanks.

Though I must admit, Blind Date is a fun watch. And I think someone mentioned "What Not To Wear," which is perhaps a big favorite of mine. Most of those TLC makeover shows are.

But mostly I agree with Tony and Alex. Give me reality over reality TV any day.

 • 2 weeks later...
Although I realise most of those shows are just really lame, I have to say that I enjoy watching them. It's just a bit of life entertainment and because of the latest craze of Reality shows there's not much else to watch!

Thanx everyone who mentioned a show I will add it to my list.
