Good or Evil, which do you like better?

Well like dagger said I generally perfer villians who've gone good. vegeta, hiei/kurama, and to a lesser extent sessy are all good examples of this kind of character.

I guess I like them more because they combine the coolness of a villian ,but they still fight for the good side so I dont feel so guilty about rooting for them :D

As a whole though I generally take my like for bad or good on an anime by anime basis. Some series make there good guys boring while others make there villians 2-d characters that only care about death and destruction...So I guess when it gets down to it I go with the character that has the most depth

Saiyuki is one of my favorite series because it's virtually impossible to differentiate between the good guys and the bad guys. The good guys (Sanzo, Goku, Gojo, and Hakkai) are indiscriminate killers, drinkers, smokers, and pervs. The bad guys, meanwhile, are a closely knit band of friends who cover each other's backs and are fighting for a good cause. About their only flaw is that the accomplishment of their cause will incidentially bring about the end of the world.

Evil all the way. Bad guys are usually more interesting, have cooler powers and/or weapons, and have to work harder. You always know what a hero will do next, and you never know what a villain will do next.

Also, good guys are frickin' annoying with their habit of waltzing into certain doom only to have the rules magically change in their favor. Just once, I'd like to see interfering with a good guy's gadgets destroy his whole base, or yelling really loud and frowning up as if passing a stone inexplicably multiply the bad guy's power by a factor of a thousand.

I would prefer the villians. They're so dark and have so much devious plans. Plus, they're free to do whatever they want in hopes of completing their goals. If you think of it, there's Sephiroth who goes murdering peeps, Mikage who fights to avenge her broken heart, Seifer who's just plain evil, Takatori who just is plain rich and has the Schwarz as his bodyguards.

But, there are some exceptions like the Weiss, Excel Excel, Menchi, the men of Gensomaiden Saiyuki, and Sasame and Mannen of Pretear.

Hmmm..... Good or evil? It depends on the quality of the character.Sometimes villans aren't even villans for a long time, or they try and hid their soft side. Take Vegeta from Dragonball Z. Before Freiza, he's bent on taking over the world. After he just wants to kick Goku's butt; but he's still a good guy. After a while he gives up on that and becomes Goku's ally and just lives his life. On the other hand, villans usually have tight powers that send the heroes into a state of awe  . But... the hero always wins  ! For that reason, I think villans are cooler

I like the happy medium. A good guy that is just barely good and a bad guy that has some what good intentions, or atleast, a heart.

Favorite Good Guy:

Nicholas D. Wolfwood: a badass preist who won't think twice about killing your *** and going on a drinking binge afterwards. Was an undercover villain, then turned good, fell in love, and repented for his sins in the best way he could.

Favorite Bad Guy:

Garma Zabi: had the intentions of freeing a country. Had a beutiful fiancé. Had good intentions, he just seeked them by dropping a colony on mainland Australia from Space.

I Have To Say That I Like The Villains More Because They Are Always Stronger Than The Good Guys Because If You Think About It Its Only By Luck That The Good Guy Wins... Or Two Good Guys Double Take The Bad Guy... Or A Stronger Villain Kills The Old Stronger One... And Plus They Look Alot Cooler Sesshumaru Is The Best... Thanks For Listening To Me

Hmm...I'd have to go with the villains. They're the best. Even if they never win, they're still great. Plus they're usually bishounen! Like Legato... :tasty:

I would have to go with villains because they always seem to have deep and mysterious pasts and it always seem that they are better drawn than the heroes.

Can't really pick. I mean, I love the villians, but then I also love the heros!

My Fave?

Vash the Stampede from Trigun : :luv: He's the sexy nuetral. He appears as the villian when you hear about the bounty on his head, and about how he destroyed July, and so on, it makes you think of an evil-minded villian. But, really, he saves people who try to kill him, doesn't want to hurt anyone, and believes in "Love, Peace, and Donuts!", he becomes the good guy. And yet, when he destroyed Augusta, he was the bad guy again. Poor Vash-chan...

So, in answer to your question, I have a question... Does nuetral count?
