How did you learn about sex?(Parental Advisory)

Well, I used to sit in the living room playing pinball or whatever while my mom watched Friends, and I heard the word "sex" frequently from that show, back when I was maybe four or five. I never really gave too much thought to what exactly sex was, and all I really knew at that point was that sex is where babies come from..

In third grade, I suppose, I had some rather perverted friends (For nine-year-olds). They would always, in their own uniformed little way, talk about sex, and I would just go along with everything. One night, however, I was rather curious as to what exactly happened during sex. My parents had recently bought a 24-volume encyclopedia which was conveniently placed in my room, so I ended up "researching" where babies come from.

The encyclopedia really didn't have too many articles on reproduction, though I did learn most of the technical terms and anatomy from the S and R volumes. And even though the articles were all very vague, I'm still pretty sure I was the most informed third grader in my school.

In fifth grade I accidentally came across a rather "mature" story on the internet, and that's really where I learned what happens during sex, instead of how it happens. Of course, sixth grade was when sex ed (Or "Family Life", as they call it in our district) started, and everything fit together.

I think a friend of mine said it best when he stated, "Everything I ever needed to know I learned from the internet."

You guys really don't want to know the storey of how I ended up learning about sex. It's just amazing I grew up so normally. Riiight

Well, let's say that my mom ended up having the 'talk' with me after the incident.

HBO, Cinemax and the scrambled Play Boy channel had nothing to do with it.

Okay, now I'm getting really emberassed and I hope my kids don't have to learn the same way the whole discussion started.

My mother once gave me the talk when I was little about "where babys come from" but never did my mom tell me about sex. It wasnt until 6th grade that I watched a porno with a friend and acutally saw sex. Before then I had no idea what sex was or even how to perform sex. I'm now 15 and I sure no alot about sex considering I've been through health, and I've had sex in the past. Just when you think you know everything about sex you learn something new from somewhere.

I learned about it mostly through Sexual education clases. However, being religious I also have a personal goal of no premarital sex. Its osmething deep in my moral and religious background and Im not budging from it. I have also watched a few shows on Discovery/TLC about it which definitely clarified the picture. I also think people should be more educated to the dangers of promiscuou sex, whether protected or not. theres always a chance of terrible consequence and it astounds me how many young people will risk everything to "get it on". To me, unless its marriage, its just not worth it.

Unfortunatly, I learned by myself about the world of sex. I was raised differently than most other kids. I was tought to learn all by myself and i follow it very adimantly. I had heard different things from different sources (like tv and Health class and from my own sister).

I learned from other children at my school in Elementary I mean some were talking about it in 2nd grade, but they knew what they were talking about and how it all worked. While in my elementary school I once saw a boy and a girl coming out of the boys bathroom the thing was she hadn't pulled her pants all the way back up and his fly was unzipped.
