I hold uneeded anger in. Then as I move on it forms a big knot inside that grows bigger and bigger as I hold more back. Mind you, Im good at anger suppression, so I find some artistic way to turn that negativity into something positive. Its kinda hard for me to get angry.

Experiment and see whats right for you. You could always beat the **** outta a punching bag, take a walk, write your feelings down, draw something, or think about what has happened and decide logically what to do.

I don't really get angry a lot. The anger inside just turns into something else after about 20mins. So I can't stay angry for very long.
If you are pissed, just do something else that calms you down and don't think about whatever it was for a while. That ways you can sort it out with a cool head.

for the past few days..after the banning, i feel more comfortable posting at ac. that goes for those two too. i didn't come here to stirr some crap like you guys try to pull..(going against admin etc). i didn't tell anyone about your livejournal entry, but i don't know how dubird joined here.

i was planning to delete this last night cause i thought this could cause more trouble. but the answers you gave me were unexpected. total opposite of what i had in mind.

[color=crimson][size=1]You know Jeff...while I really believe that people should keep any non-OtakuBoards related stuff out of the boards, I'd like to mention something that I've been discussing with Adam.

As I mentioned in a previous post, some forums are much more strict than we are. But that strictness is important, as it allows the staff of the boards to adequately filter new members...to keep good discussion going.

I have been talking about this issue with Adam. We both agree that if we continue to allow low-quality posters to this site, it'll go down the toilet.

Therefore, we are going to keep a closer watch on the quality of people's discussion. For those of you already signed up, don't worry -- 90% of you are completely fine. The other 10% might end up being removed, however.

We are going to be more strenuously looking at new members and we will be removing new members who we feel do not contribute to the boards in a meaningful way. Sites which have a policy like this end up with the big benefit of having a close-knit community where crappy and meaningless topics are rare. We want to encourage a more mature, thoughtful audience to OtakuBoards.com.

These changes may not be immediately visible. And if anyone gets banned (or a friend of theirs is banned), please don't approach Adam and I to complain. These boards are a privelidge to current members (and new ones alike) and we reserve the right to run them the way we see fit.

I'm thinking that perhaps I should make this an announcement...but it's something which isn't going to be terribly obvious -- so it's probably not necessary.

I just want people to be aware that we are closely watching what goes on.

I would hope that older members will welcome this slight change in policy. It will ensure that we are able to maintain a high level of quality on our site for months and years to come.[/color][/size]

I don't know what you guys are talking about, but I agree with James about keeping crappy and meaningless topics to a minimum.

Also, the way that I deal with anger, is by Super Smash Bros. and listening to Van Halen with the volume all the way up.

[SIZE=3][FONT=century gothic][COLOR=crimson]yippy!!!!!!! lol... anyway i know exactly what you mean... the quality of posts here have gone from 15 year olds to about 12 year olds... and while i have nothing agianst 12 year olds... id rather talk to the 15 year old that is in high school and all that...
while the boards arent too strict right now... i do tend to keep the forums i mod pretty strict... and honestly i enjoy them more than i do GD... and well i enjoy nintendo as well :) but it seems to be pretty strict as well... yes we do let some spam get away but we tend to keep it to a minimum and even then they are (semi) related to the forum they are in...
sometimes if i dind a topic is going off topic ill leave it in hopes of it coming back, but if it doesnt i have gone and deleted up to 2 weeks worth of posts before
while i do think some people will be upset it will be people who tend to spam a little more then they think they do... but then when you bring it to there attention 1 of 3 things typically happens... 1. they spam more cause they have the "Thimoc syndrom", 2. the leave cause they feel offended, 3. they realize the error of there way and cut back on the spam
im not saying all the spam we see is totally gonna be gone... the slight spam is part of these boards... like the newspaper to me is spam (especially outside of GD) but a majority of the members like it so it should *probably* stay, at least until it becomes pure and simple spam not informative

In many cases, staff feel like they are restricted from complaining about a simply "dumb" post, because it doesn't really violate the rules directly.

Afterall, as I think I've said before, I can't regulate against stupidity.

However, I guess we will be leaning in that direction moreso in the future. By exercising tighter control of new membership, we can really focus on getting some good members here.[/color][/size]

The two kids were running around the train and throwing things at windows...geh...it was really annoying.

Try spending the night cramped in a room no bigger than 10ft x 15ft with four people. Gaaah! It did have something to do with it. it's just only a few people know what we are even talking about.... Like I said, we probably shouldn't be talking about it on these boards seeing as how it has nothing to with anything.
