Panda
I was watching tv tonight and a Mastercard commercial came on that had a Boston Terrier in it. He was with his family vacationing and was left behind at a National Park. They show the dog out for walkies and then you see the family motorhome start to drive away and the dog goes running after them but can't catch up. The commercial goes on to show the dog with different people driving around in search of his family. It made me really sad for the lost pup! I love animals and his commercial really pulled at my heartstrings. I love my pets and if I ever lost them I would be a wreck! The commercial is apparently one of those "to be continued" ones so I guess I will just have to wait to see what happens to the dog. Another commercial that gives me the same feeling is one by Land Rover with the couple going to the ballet, dressed up and driving in their Land Rover. It is a rainy night and they see this scruffy dog on the side of the road near an off ramp. The couple look at each other in that "you know what we have to do" look. They pull over, in the rain, and pick the dog up. I love that commercial! Even though they are dressed up and have plans, they put that aside to help this poor dog! This finally brings me to my question. Are there commercials that cause a strong emotional response in you? Sad, mad, happy, annoyed or whatever! Let's see what commercials have made an emotional impression to you!
Semjaza
The McDonald's "I'm Loving It!" commercials produce mixed emotions from me. First is confusion because I don't know how anyone could come up with this horrible campaign. Then comes disgust when I hear the lyrics to the songs they write for each separate commercial involved. Then comes insanity because they're played constantly, make no sense and just make me want to gouge my eyes out and melt my ears shut with blow torches. I reallly don't like them. The KFC "kitchen" commercials come in second. The one with the bug-eyed lady going "kitchen strips!!" twenty times is probably the worst offender. I mute it everytime it comes on. Guest ScirosDarkblade
The Gatorade commercials are nasty. If someone around me starts sweating Gatorade I'm gonna ******* dial 9-1-1 and possibly perform CPR on... her. No, really. Those commercials don't make the thirsty for Gatorade at all. They make me think of sweaty locker rooms for the most part. So I guess they bring out ... disgust.
BlueGender
Commercials have never really gotten to me like that, well once in a while during christmas time when they show those your 15 cents a day could save this child commercials i might get touched some but other then that I think commercials are annoying. Do I really need to see a commercial avertising Viagra every 2 minutes, im 15 why are you showing a Viagra commercial during the middle of the Simpsons is the Simpsons main demographic really men over 40. There are times when I do enjoy a Trailer or advertising of a show but other then that I just wish commercials could be done away with.
wrist cutter
The first thing I thought of when I saw the title was the scene in Dumb & Dumber when they're sitting in bed, wiping their tears/snot with dollar bills as they watch some phone company commercial. Hilarious.
Cahoots34
The irony of the Viagra ad in which a multitude of heterosexual couples begin to dance in the streets to the tune of 'We Are the Champions' is hardly lost on me, and I can't imagine that I'm the only Queen fan who has a laughing fit whenever I see it. (I think that Freddie would find it just as hysterical, if not somewhat more so.)
