Magic is still well practiced by people across the world. Bard, clerics, druids, wizards, and sorcerers all gain strength and mana with every passing day. Sword fighting is popular still and masters hang around every corner. Gangs of bandits attack cities and loot the towns of all of their riches. Monsters roam free and destroy what they please and the biggest threat on anyones mind is the possiblity of the occasional dragon attack, but things are about to change. Someone called The Master of Puppets has become an unknown threat to the world. Strange infections on creatures seem to lead to lead to them becoming hostile and will infiltrate any home and kill anyone. Dragons, demons, and even people are turning and are controlled by this master of puppets.
The first to stumble across this was a well known scientist that is long thought to have gone insane, but the promise of wonderful treasures brings ruin explorers to this site. His bones lay scattered across the floor, supposedly the master of puppets killed him himself. Now the first and only group of people in a race to get into the ruins of this crazy scientist will be the only ones to be able to stop this Master of Puppets.

Rana straightened up. He looked up at the night sky. A half-moon.

He wondered about various things, until confronted with the urgency of his mission. He looked in his palm at the large coin in his hand. It had a crest of a snake bordering the coin, eating its own tail. There was a shield that had a griffin coming out from behind it on the coin.

"So this is the crest?" He said to himself.

He clutched the coin tightly in his hand.

He walked toward the inner city with a confident air. He looked like he was exactly where he was intended to be, thus the guards didn't stop him. They figured that he knew where he was, so they left him alone.

That was the trick.

Rana drew one of his blades and continued walking toward the target's house. A guard was walking toward him. "Excuse me-", he began, but he was cut off swiftly by Rana's glare.

You are in my way. I am going somewhere and you seem to think it is suspicious that my blade is drawn. I assure you that that was intentional. But get out of my way, or I will be late, It seemed to say. The guard backed off, somewhat confused.

Rana was making good time, and had reached the target house. He was confronted by a dark figure. He didn't seem like te guard who could be fooled by Rana's ambience.

"Good evening, sir. I have a job to do, and it would be unwise to stand in my way, so if you will excuse me..." Rana drew his other sword and held it up in a more warning sort of a way, figuring that the guard would get his point (no pun intended)...

Tanji hovered over the scene. She watched, silently, as the man got the guard to back off. She smirked. Lnading softly behind him, her wings folded, and disappeared. She brought the shadow element, and held it around her, making her unseen.

The Winged-one followed him, and smiled as he confronted another guard. He won't be getting past this one easily. She kept smiling, and came around behind the guard. SHe became visable, and saw Rana's shock. "No worries." SHe said, sword drawn, held carefully poised. SHe said, "We would prefer not to fight, guardsman, but we will if provoked." The guardsman turned to her, and looked at her. I know what he see's... She twitched his mind, and he shrugged, moving away.

Tanji saw Rana's shock, and bowed mockingliy. "Well? You wished him to let you pass."

Kimikori looked over the dead gaurd with much interest. He studied the wounds on him. He could tell that whoever did this is a very impatient person full of rage and anger., but he also has a goal in his mind. Kimikori looked to the sky and saw a winged flying above him in the sky. Then she shot away.

"So it appears that I have comrades also doing this." Kimikori said to himself. He held up his staff and waved it in front of him throwing a mask of illusion over himself. He was nonexistent to anyone who doesn't have the pure sight which he possessed. To have been touched by the gods is a rare occurance, but theis had happened to him. If he were to ever meet another he would see it as fate.

He came around a corner to spy the winged helping a man to fend off a gaurd with no bloodshed of any kind. Kimikori was happy to see this. It had been so long since bloodshed hadn't been needed for Kimikori to continue on. None of them had pure sight though, they couldn't see him. He saw the winged, covered by a vail of darkness, move in though. He was able to see through these thing because of his pure sight.

Talonir exited the tunnels, waving to the cheery dwarves behind him. As long as they got a little compensation, they were great for navigation. He stood and srveyed the outside world. The world that he had been sheltered from. So far it looked pretty.....boring. It was a grassy plain, leading up to what appeared to be a small town in the distance. Talonir squinted, and he could just make out smoke rising from the town. He sighed gratefully. That much could have only come from chimneys.

Talonir looked around once more before he began to spin his hand in a slow circle in the air, speeding up steadily. After a couple minutes of this, what appeared to be a small tornado appeared. Talonir jumped upon it, his will and his magic keeping him steady upon it. He thought a solitary order to his tornado.Forward. The tornado shot off towards the town, the wind blowing back Taloinir's hair and causing his eyes to water. He would be there soon enough.

Talonir wandered the streets of the town, excited to be on his own at last. Walking through the slums was depressing, so he decided to go towards the inner, richer parts of the city. He was walking through there, admiring the architecture of the many buildings there. So many buildings....and most made of stone, too! he thought, marveling at a large church. His ears perked up as he heard voices from the otherwise silent street. He ran forward, using the shadows and inborn dexterity to keep silent. Finally, he came upon the two speakers. With them was a guard who seemed not to notice them.
"......you pass." he heard one of them say, as one who looked like a cat strode towards a house behind them. Talonir inched closer, his curiosity overcoming his fear of being spotted.
