Muad'Dib
OOC The life of the party is here ya'll! ~~~ Daniel shoved aside his moment of struggeling feelings and ran full-force into the skirmish. It didn't take long for him to be knocked off of his horse, but he was going on blind, raw, emotions now. He shouldered a raider in teh gut and brought his knife into his stomach. The raider keeled over, blood pouring from the wound. Another came from behind him and gave Daniel a good smack on the spine, sending pain straight through his body. He instinctively flipped his arm around and slashed the raider across the face, blood spraying his dirtied clothing.
Lilt
Valerie sat up from her fall. She looked up just in time to see a bandit riding up to her, ready to grab her onto his horse. She smiled and shot out the chain at her opponent. It hit him square in the chest and knocked him off his horse. She wasn't just some defenseless maiden. "Now that that problem's solved..." Valerie said as she grasped the shaft of the arrow in her shoulder. She gave it a tug and winced. She decided to give it up and get it out later. "It's probably better if I did leave it in there. I might open the wound or something." Valerie forgot all about the arrow when she heard the sound of a man yelling. She looked up and saw the bandit she had knocked down earlier, charging and swinging a mace. She brought up her glove to hit him again, but pain shot through her shoulder and she couldn't fire. The man hit the glove with the mace, knocking it out of Valerie's hand and sending her flat on her back. She waited for him to strike. Perhaps she was a defenseless maiden after all. Then, just as the bandit was raising his mace, the blade of a knife pierced his stomach. He gurgled and fell to the ground lifeless. Valerie smiled. Daniel had saved her. Before she could thank him, her body convulsed and she fell into a tortuous sleep caused by the poison arrow in her shoulder. Around Valerie, the battle had ended. Kaitlen and the others had won and the bandits who were well enough to, were fleeing.
