Anime Who is the best anime character, in your opinon?

Well as you know vicious is my favorite anime character. So, i want to know what you good ppl here on otakuboards have to say about your favorite character. I wont judge you about you characters either. everyone has their own character that they admire. so please go ahead and tell me who is the best anime character in your opinon. if you dont have a favorite, just name a few. I am just taking a break from the ever controversial my otaku. I need a breather, and I just want hear some positive input for a change. See you around, and give me your feedback please

My ultima-fave anime is Ranma 1/2 so my ultima-fave character there would have to be........... Mousse. He may not be as powerful as Ranma himself, but he's got a few (or maybe a LOT) of tricks up his sleeve. Literally! I really like the way he pulls those weapons out of nowhere. And he sure can jump really high and move really fast. He is more of that 'agile' kind of character which is why I admire him.

I'm new here! :) My favorite anime character is Spike Spiegle. He has such a laid back personality, but he takes serious stuff seriously. Even so, Cowboy Bebop is not my favorite anime. That would be Furi Kuri.

Picking one character is tricky... mine tends to change about every day, now. *thinks* I'd have to say either Himura Kenshin (Rurouni Kenshin), Okita Souji (Peace Maker Kurogane), or Edward Elric (Full Metal Alchemist)... see, I can barely narrow it down to three... *sheepish* Having recently finished Fruits Basket sure hasn't helped my ability to narrow them down, that's for sure.

Spike is just plain awesome. The only reason he's not my number one favorite is because if I tried to hug him, he'd probably kick my butt. It'd be pretty funny, I'm sure.

I guess my fav. would have to be Helba from .hack//sign, she soo awsome! I like how she's calm and cool when things are getting hectic in different places, also how she notorious and yet still repcted a little for hacking a lot of stuff. Plus, I like her attitude basically :D

They're both a little reckless and crazy with dark personalities and a dry/twisted sense of humour.

Ah well! My ultimate favorites would have to be Himura Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin, Inuyasha from Inu-Yasha, Sesshoumaru from Inu-Yasha, Naraku from Inu-Yasha, and Kurama from Yuu Yuu Hakusho ^_^

I'm absolutely in love with swords and Kenshin is the ultimate killer >D Even if he's vowed never to kill. It's just hard not to love this kawaii bishounen! *glomps*

Then Inuyasha! I resemble him in almost every way: Short temper, violent, head-strong, rushes into things, you get the picture xD

Sesshoumaru is just cool *.* I love his poisonous claws and his calm composure is just so unshakeable!

Naraku, I admire for his evilness >D

And Kurama! The ultimate bishounen! *glomps* He's so perfect *.* Kawaii, powerful, calm, collected, intelligent. He doesn't have very many faults @@

Ohhh. . .I'd have to say my fave. is a tie between Hiei and Kurama from Yu Yu Hakusho, Himura Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin, and Vash the Stampede from Trigun. I like Hiei and Kurama because Hiei is really in-your-face and strong, but Kurama is soooo much smarter and probably just as strong as Hiei. Also, I think they're both very hot. I like Kenshin just because he's so loveable. He also is very strong with a sword, which I've always wanted to use and he uses a style which I've never heard of (Hiten Mitsirugi Ryu). I like Vash because he's the perfect mix between funny,loveable,sensitive, and passonate. Those are my fave. characters.

I think the best anime character is Il Pallazzo from Excel Saga. He's just such a fantastic character as he tries so hard to be an evil villain but always seems to be striken with bad luck, usually in the form of Excel. With his ideological organisation ACROSS, he strives to eliminate the corruption from this world for us all, starting with the city of F...in theory anyway.

Plus its just fantastic the way in which allows you to see what evil villains get up to outside of public; learning to play the guitar, playing dating games, learning to speak English ("My name is Il Pallazzo. I am coquettish."), and so much more. He's just created some incredibly huge laughs, if rather a lot of ruthlessness too (repeated shootings, dropping subordinates down trapdoors, general rudeness and infinate numbers of plots).

My favorite characters are the unappreciated hero's and good guys who seem to never get the attention they deserve. Usually just below the main character in the anime, this characters yearns for the main love interest, fights well against the main character (usually not equal though), and has usually a cooler demeanor in my eyes than the main character. They are as follows.

Koga from InuYasha, just a really cool guy that I love to watch fight with his hand to hand prowess. While InuYasha weilds around his bid, ugly Tetsaiga, he uses no more than his body and is still able to equal him in a fight. He refuses defeat with his pride and honor code.

Ryoga from Ranma 1/2. Deserves Akane far more than Ranma and appreciates her more. He fights Ranma regularly, usually loses because of some mishab, and dislikes it when the girl he loves shows him pitty. He has a great amount of pride and refuses defeat.

Sanouske from Ruroini Kenshin. At first, he is weaker than Kenshin, and then by the end, he could very well be just as powerful, but we never know. Sano is the helpful freind who's good with his knuckles and knows how to defend against most weapons. He has an extreme amount of pride, which often times almost gets him killed, Sano is just cool too me.

Theres a trend here actually. The fist fighting, pride filled, sometimes cocky, supporter. Thats my favorite type of character.[/color][/size]

I have my favorite male villain, my favorite female villain, my favorite good guy/girl , my favorite senshi (from SailorMoon) even my favorite tragic death scene character so I guess I just have to mention all of them right? Wrong I'll spare eveyone for now:

My choice is Kagura from INuYasha she's a pretty good villain, but that's not all. She tries to rebel against Naraku even though by doing so she could lose her life. Also, the way she interacts with Sesshomaru. Kagura doesn't use polite honorfics which are due to a youkai (or even a regular human) of Sesshomaru's status and she really doesn't seem to care. She has a great combination of deviance, poise and strength which is why Kagura is my favorite anime character.[/color]

Yeah, this is a [i]really[/i] broad question. I guess I'll talk about some of my current favorite characters (many of whom, by a peculiar coincidence, happen to be cute young boys). For the moment I'm going to avoid mentioning anyone from R.O.D TV, simply because the show has so many fantastic male [i]and[/i] female characters that I just wouldn't be able to pay all of them the tribute they deserve.

[b]Dio Eraclea[/b] from Last Exile: He's clever, conniving and very talented at playing the innocent bystander. His fixation on Claus makes the series that much more entertaining (and serves to satisfy my inner fangirl). Within the very same episode or scene, Dio can act like a serious threat as well as a harmless flirt.

[b]Toboe[/b] from Wolf's Rain: What can I say? The kid is just ridiculously cute, and I love his personality. He reminds me of Junior (a character in R.O.D TV), although Toboe seems to be more rambunctious and outgoing.

[b]Beppu Yugo[/b] from Yugo Negotiator: When I watch this anime, I can't help being amazed by the title character's resourcefulness, intelligence and sheer coolness. He's attractive in a calm, laid-back kind of way. It's too bad that nearly all of Yugo's cases appear to involve undergoing some sort of torture. ^_^;

My favorite character has to be Pegasus aka Helios from Sailor Moon. Just recently my craving for him grew stronger. My friend here in college has a tatoo of Pegasus which is nifty. I wouldn't mind doing that.

Roger Smith from big o cause that guy is just the coolest ever and i love his black shades.

Gene Starwind cause that guy is just excellent cause he just cracks me up in the series but really outlaw star is my fav series of all time and to me gene is god.

Priss from The Bubble Gum Series cause she is just this biker chick with a bad attidue. :cool:

Well in all honestly, I can't tell you who my favorite anime character is... I love soo many different anime that I can't decide who my favorite character is... I'd have to say that the best thing I could do is give a list of all the characters that I like and admire...lol... I like Kyo, Yuki, Shigure, Haru, Ha'ri, Tohru, Hana, Uo, Spike, Vicious, Faye, InuYasha, Sesshomaru, Miroku, Kagome, Sango, Kiba, Tsume, Ranma, Akane, Genma, Chi, Jonochi (^_^), Vash, Wolfwood, Kyoko, Kenshin, Kaoru, Sanno, Aoushi (^_^), and many many more... That's not even a drop in the bucket... Kinda sad that I admire more anime guys than girls... But I relate to them more... Oh well.. Those are all the anime characters that I've actually [I]typed[/I] out and all... They're cool... I love them all!!

Well my favorite is Urd from Oh My Goddess! She always wears the coolest, most detailed outfits. She's funny, sassy, etc.--a generic but much more interesting personality than that of "girly" characters. Also she's pretty badass when she has to be. Her interaction with Mara is usually interesting... I don't know I'm just throwing out random stuff. I think she looks cool and acts cool. That's all there is to it.

[b]The boys of Weiß Kreuz (Omi, Yohji, Ken, Aya)[/b]. They're all strong in their own ways, and each has had some kind of horrible traumatic past. they want to help the world by destroying the 'beasts of evil'. (Plus they're all really really hot and have really really good [i]seiyuu[/i].)

[b]Vash the Stampede[/b]. Goofy, fun, absolutely wonderfully ready to laugh. Strong, silent, prepared for anything that might involve fighting. Dark, angry, waiting for a reason to find you-know-who. Vash is a perfect example of a person working to free himself from his past... and i love listening to his voice when he yells, "LOVE AND PEACE!"

I think we are in agreement that this is a very difficult and broad question to answer. In my opinion I feel that Genjo Sanzo is the best character in anime. I think his character is really well developed. He has many flaws as well as strengths, that is what makes him such a great character. He isn't perfect, which is what I like about him so much.

His troubled past that keeps following him and his dark personality just adds to the color of his character. He had to make some very difficult decisions dealing with life and death, that just has to be very taxing on him. I feel really bad for him. Characters that you don't have an emotional attachment to seem to be the boring ones.

For me what makes a good character is one that makes you feel something. If that character makes you hate them with a passion or makes you feel sympathy, that is a good character. The ones that don't make a change in your emotions are the ones we forget about. Love them or hate them, if they make you feel something they are a good character.

And of course there is the fangirl part of me that thinks Sanzo is really cute too! :love:
