Anime Who is the best anime character, in your opinon?

I'd have to say my favorite chacrter would have to be Gawl, from Generator Gawl. Hes cute, endearing, kind of a loudmouth, very energetic and childish. I think hes just cool over all.

Well guys, unless I missed it, no one has spoken of my favourite. Got a soft spot for him. That's probarly because it was the first anime I ever watched. Still even now...it's Jubei from Ninja Scroll.

I love Vash, because well, first of all, he's so cute and cuddley! Er, sorry. I like him because he has a very dark past, but he doesn't use it as an excuse to be evil. He's so confused, and he's always trying to do the right thing...and then you put in the "Sweet and Cute" factor again...

It's hard to pick just one character. I like Spike Speigel because of his calm and cool attitude, and he's not afraid of death. I also like Alucard because he's badass and doesn't show mercy toward his enemies.

This is an unbiased choice since i would normally choose based on good looks... well anyway, i like kenshin because he is very disciplined and yet still breaks little rules sometimes. kenshinsbabe,Ohhh. . .I'd have to say my fave. is a tie between Kurama from Yu Yu Hakusho, Himura Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin. I like Kurama because he is soooo much smarter and probably just as strong as Hiei. Also, I think he's very hot. I like Kenshin just because he's so loveable. He also is very strong with a sword, which I've always wanted to use and he uses a style which I've never heard of (Hiten Mitsirugi Ryu).but both are very funny,loveable,sensitive, and passonate. Those are my fave. characters.

Ah well! My ultimate favorites would have to be Himura Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin, Inuyasha from Inu-Yasha, Sesshoumaru from Inu-Yasha, and Kurama from Yuu Yuu Hakusho ^_^

I'm absolutely in love with swords and Kenshin is the ultimate killer! Even if he's vowed never to kill. It's just hard not to love this bishounen!

Then Inuyasha! I resemble him in almost every way: Short temper, violent, head-strong, rushes into things, you get the picture.

Sesshoumaru is just cool! :cool: I love his poisonous claws and his calm composure is just so unshakeable!

And Kurama! The ultimate deamon! He's so perfect! :love: Powerful, calm, collected, intelligent. He doesn't have very many faults. :blush:

[color=darkviolet]I already gave my favorite female villain before hand. My favorite Male villain is a tie between Masao from MArs or Nakago from Fushigi Yugi.

I picked Masao because he's just so ruthless he doesn't even think about the outcome of his actions. Plus he looks so innocent nobody would believe for a minute that he was capable of squishing a bug let alone killing someone. Those are two things that make a great villain which is why he's one of my favorites.

Nakago is always mentioned as a favorite male villain or a villain in general when a question like this arises so who shouldn't I mention him? Nakago is my other favorite male villain because he's cold and calculating. He'll stop at nothing to achieve his goals. He [spoiler]tricked Yui into becoming the seiryuu no miko by telling her she was raped and Miaka had abandoned her for Tamahome.[/spoiler] Also speaking of Tamahome [spoiler]Nakago got Tamahome to leave Konan and go to Kudo (?)Also when Tamahome tried to escape he had him whipped. then he brainwashed Tamahome with an earring and almost had him kill Miaka.[/spoiler] You just have to appreciate a guy who knows what he wants. Even if he is extremely evil.

Of course, if I really have to chose a favorite anime character in general I may as well go with Setsuna Meiou (a.k.a. SailorPluto) from SailorMoon. She has the power to put up with ChibiUsa. She can control time and she's extremly level headed unlike the other inners (don't go there with Ami, she's too level headed.) Plus she has the
best henshin and attack. I lvoe how she just whispers 'Deado Scream' and bye bye goes the youma. I just wish she had more play time. STupid Toei animation.

Also I was wondering if we could include or least favorite character as well? As long as we give a decent reason not justI can't stand Usagi or Kagome is so flakey.

My least favorite female villain would have to be a toss up between Sae from Peach Girl or Mimmet from SailorMoonS.

Sae is just too underhanded even for someone like me who likes a bit of underhandedness in their villains. She's just too much of an evil coniver and she has no real goal to be so nasty. I could understand if she was trying to gain control of something or if she had a bad childhood, but she's just evil for teh sake of being evil.

Mimette is too much of a crazy boy chaser. And not just a crazy boy chaser a teeny bopper boy chaser. Plus she [spoiler]caused Eudial to die[/spoiler] and Eudial was my second favorite female villain. I just can't forgive something like that.[/color]

My favorite anime character is Blackrose from .Hack, I like her because she has a way cool sword, she looks really cool, the way she acts is so cool, and on my .Hack video games(.Hack//Infection, .Hack//Mutation, .Hack//Outbreak, .Hack//Quaratine) she is the strongest character I have. :D

My fave? Well, my fave Male Anime char place is currently being fought for. It's either Vash the Stampede from Trigun or Heero Yuy from Gundam Wing. My fave Female Anime char is Usagi Tsukino from Sailor Moon.

Why Vash? Because we both love Love, Peace and Donuts! Mm, donuts... :tasty: And he's funny!!

Why Heero? Emotionless, quiet, trigger-happy guys are always sexy! :love:

Why Usagi? I'm kinda like her. I'm clumsy, I like to eat food- non stop, and we both like Manga (comics)!

My favorite anime character is [B]Waya Yoshitaka [/B] from Hikaru no Go. And for reasons other than the fact that he's adorable and I love his hair. (But that does play a part ^^; ) He's determined and full of willpower. He cares about his friends and others, but he always has himself and what's best for him on his mind. (I don't think that borders on greed or being self-centered, I think he's logical.) He also has an aura of innocence about him, and he can be hilarious too. (Oh, and he plays Go on the Internet and his screen name is Zelda; That's just cool!) A great character all around. ^_^

I'll take Shinji Ikari anytime, over any other character. I like some other characters better but he is the best. I know him best and I remember him best. He is one of the most "human" characters I have ever seen in an anime series.

Shinji's struggle to just be OK [i]says it all[/i] about what a lot of people go through at least once in life - whether they admit it or not. I respect his creators because they were willing to express themselves to others through him.

I could say more but nobody reads these "what type am I" threads anyway...

I have to say that while Shinji is a sympathetic character, I despised him utterly, this is not a character flaw or even the flaw of the entire premise set behind the series, but his entire agnostic and semi-suicidal view of reality gets on my nerve like an angry tick.

Ironically, my favourite character shared many of Shinji's trait (at least earlier in the series) Youko from Juuni Kokki is my all time favourite character, her humanity and self doubt is something that I can relate and sypathise with, and her nobilities of heart and spirit is something that I idolise. ep 39 alone raise her in my esteem beyond measure.
