Doll
I just recently got another pet rat. My other rat's name is Claudia (named after one of the vampires from Interveiw With The Vampire). Anyway my new rat is just a few weeks old, she is all white with pink eyes, and she is very hyper and curious. The problem is, is that I have no idea what to name her. The only name I could come up with was Pandora. Do you guys have any suggestions? Sincerly, your vampire: Doll
ChibiHorsewoman
Well, you could do what my husband did when he got my cat and named her before I got a chance: Show her to people and get advice and don't use a name that is always used for an animal that looks like yours does. You could go anime and name her Kagura. That reason is because Kagura has red eyes and your rat has pink.red eyes. I guess that's the best advice I can give. Maybe if you put up a picture of her, we could do a better job.

Panda
I like more unique pet names. In vet med you see lots of people who choose the exact same same for a certain animal. Iguanas named Iggy, mice named Mickey and so on and so forth. I think having an original name is more interesting. I named my pets after some of my favorite older movie stars. Brynner (Yul Brynner), Heston (Charlton Heston) and Harrison (Rex Harrison). My cat I named after my favorite They Might Be Giants song "Ana Ng". The song seems so appropriate for her. Sometimes you just have to wait to see what name would fit best for that pet. A great place to look for names is in one of those baby names books. If you are in the bookstore anytime soon try flipping though one of those. What I like about those books are they will give you the meanings behind the names. Perhaps you can find one that matches her curious personality! Best of luck in finding the perfect name! :D
Baron Samedi
Well, I have had three rats, all caramel hooded. The first was called Caramel, shortened to Carrie. Second is called Ivy, kind of like Ivory but not. The third is called Button, because she is cute as a button. I can't choose a name for your rats. Only you can. Choose something that is quirky, or original and that you like. How about...Madonna? Mads for short.
DeadSeraphim
If you want to keep the Vampire Chronicles theme going I would suggest either Mekare or Maharet.. or even Merrick. But really, the choice is up to you. Pets are a very individual things, and naming them even more so. And at the end of the day, its your choice. ~CrH~
Desbreko
Well, I don't know about you, but I know what I'm naming my pet rat if I ever get one: Mouser. I mean, how could you do better than naming it after a bomb tossing mouse (okay, so it's not a rat, but close enough) from Super Mario Bros. 2? Only problem is, yours is white, not gray. . . . Maybe you could dye it gray? And then you could get a tiny pair of sunglasses for it to wear. Perfect.
Semjaza
Naming a pet after other people's suggestions never works out. I've had pet rats and they were seriously the best pets I've ever had. Quiet, clean, nice. They didn't bite whatsoever and after a week they were totally cage trained. I'd let them out and they'd just sit on my head or my shoulder or my computer desk and that was that. I named them Pogo and Twiggy. Twiggy died early on, but she was always sickly. Pogo lived quite a bit longer. Twiggy was more of the brown, sewer rat variety, but Pogo was white with black spots. Like a cow. Awesome animals. So anyway, taking some name someone mentions just because it sounds decent never works out well. It's your pet, you should name it. Ryan
There are some really good pet naming websites. They give you thousands of names that you could name any pet. I do not know the address of a certain one, but you can easily find one in your search engine. That is where I found "Boomer" for my ferret. I found some pretty unique ones also. -ry
Doll
I think I found a good name. Eurydice, it's hard to pronounce but if you go to this website http://www.babynames.com and search up the name it has a little thing where you can hear the name. Anyway, I think it's a pretty name and it fits her too! Oh yeah Well I was at that website I searched up my name, Deidra, it said it was another way of spelling the name, Deirdre. So I searched up Deirdre and it's Celtic, and it means sad one...Why did my mum name me sad one?
IceWolfEyes
I've got four ratties, awesome pets, rats. Fujiko, Lupin (yes, they did have babies, lol), Sakura, and an unnamed one. Reason being that she has the personality of a rock. Just sits in the cage and waits for me to give her more pocky. I used to have this wonderful black hooded rat named Inky who would sit on my shoulder while I rode my bike. I loved him a lot, he lived quite a while longer then normal, about six years. A tumor finally got him, poor baby. I also had a mother and daughter pair, Baby and Sweetie. Baby killed her mommy by tearing out her liver. I never could figure out why. Baby died like a week after that, guilt I think *shrug*. Then there was Domino renamed Smudge, he got out of the cage and I never found out what happened to him. I think one of the cats ate him. I'm going to get one of those Chinese rats eventually. They get to be the size of small dogs. Going to be a great freak out pet, lol. Oh, this post doesn't help you with the name thing. But since it looks like you found a name you like, then I suppose it doesn't matter.
