Gaming Side Kicks

Hey hey hey it is me again. I was just wondering what are some side kicks that are not mentioned much as the mane charecter. I like yoshi. He is amrio's side kick but he is awesome. I don't know why I like him so much. I guess it is just the different colors he can be.

Sidekicks are tend not to be mentioned as much as the main character because that's what they are, sidekicks. If I asked someone whether Sonic or Tails is cooler, 9 out 10 times the person will say they're both crap. But that 10th person is most likely going to say Sonic. Why? Because Sonic is the main character. Therefore, the main character is mentioned more because they need to be. The sidekick is only there to help, and most of the time is not needed at all. Both the Sonic and Mario games have sidekicks that are not needed gameplay-wise. Sonic has Tails, and Mario has Yoshi. There is no denying that Yoshi is cool, but he is not mentioned as much because he doesn't need to be there (actually, Yoshi is kinda a bad example, as he is the star of at least two games, but you should get the gist of what I'm trying to say.
