Gaming Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex

With the announcement of its preliminary E3 lineup earlier this year, Bandai promised one more major Japanese animation-licensed title alongside the games it was willing to reveal at the time. Stand Alone Complex was published by Sony Computer Entertainment in Japan, but it makes for a better fit with Bandai's North American lineup, since Bandai's DVD publishing arm is collaborating with Manga Video on the release of the television series on DVD in North America. The first volume of the DVD release is slated to arrive July 27.

Seems like a good time to release this given the fact that Stand Alone Complex is making its way stateside very soon.

I own the original GitS game, but it's made by another company. I think it did a decent job of capturing the feel of the manga, although it was a rather average game overall. Fuchikomas were still cool though.

At the very least, I'll give this a rent. I hope they take care with the localizing of it.

Ghost in the shell: Complex stand alone or something like that will be coming out for the PS2 in November of this year. It has already been released in Japan and has become a great hit among gameplayers. NewType magazine tells that you can play as 2 characters and have their ablitlies. If you are a Ghost in the Shell fan you should look out for this. I also have NewType magazine to thank for this info.

Stand Alone Complex* :P I've been watching it on a stream, unfourtanatly i haven't seen the first part...but wow, if GITS is coming out, it may be the only reason i buy a PS2, as nintendo is my favorite

Yesteray i walked into my local gamestation and 20 minuets later left with a copy of Ghost in the shell stand alone complex for ps2. From past expereance i new that movie-games were often a bit shody but it was Ghost in the shell so i was willing to take the chance. After getting it home and playing for a while i could tell intstantly that it was boring, shody and repetitive. Tell me what you think.

If it's good then i'll shut up and play it untill i cant feel my hands anymore
