Most Glorious Gaming Moments.

Okay, here's a little thread out there for those of you who know you've got mad gaming skills, but never found anyone you could talk to about it. Pick a game. Any game. Post the most INSANE thing you've ever done in that game. Then, just see what others think!

My most insane moment was in Devil May Cry, when I hit up a 413-hit combo (yes, I counted them all) against a group of Marionettes in the hallway of the second level where they just keep spawning for about 5 minutes. Of course, I had to get cheap with pistols 6 or 7 times, but what can you do? If I hadn't gotten a STYLISH rating on that, someone would've gotten hurt, and I'm not talking in the game.

What about you guys?

Well well well most insane moments eh. I have so many to talk about. But, I'll talk about the battle with Seymour #3. It was just insane. It took two second because everyone on my team kept on doing 9999 damage to him. They were exceding their power. It was cool. Then Yu Yevon took just a minute because I did the same thing I did to her as I did to seymour. I'm glad I did that to Seympur because he was getting so &*%$ annoying. I just wanted to kill him in one blow.

I've completed Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles, as well as Sonic 3 & Knuckles, without getting hit once and getting every single Chaos Emerald.
I know, I'm sad.
I do have a friend that has beaten the Huge Yoshi mission in SSBM in less than a second...seriously! I saw the record.

Heh, we might as well call this the "Gamer's Bragging Thread." :p

You want to have some insane moments, though? Try playing through Zelda: A Link to the Past with as few hearts and items as possible. When you do that, every Dark World boss in the game becomes one long, insane moment. I've gotten up to Ganon's Tower doing this so far, and dang do you have to be good in order to beat some of those bosses. The kind of good where you can only get hit two, maybe three times before dying.

The most insane moment I can remember, however, was in F-Zero GX. I was racing on the Aeropolis: Dragon Slopes track in the Diamond Cup, and if you've seen that track, you'll know what I really mean when I say this was insane. On this track there's a very long straight-away. The thing is, this straight-away is not level. In fact, there are several very looong drops in it, all at a very steep angle, and there are boost plates just before each drop-off. Also, above each section of track, there are two higher sections straight above which you can land on (also with boost plates at their ends), though it's quicker to just drop down to the bottom track. So normally I hit the boost plate, dive down as fast as I can to avoid landing on either of the higher sections of track, pull up at the last second so I get a smooth landing, and then repeat until I get to the bottom of the jumps.

This particular time, however, things didn't go according to plan. If I remember correctly, I hit the boost plate and went off the first jump at a funny angle for some reason or other. This caused me to have to try and straighten out in the air or fly way out to the side into oblivion. I managed this . . . kind of . . . but the problem was that having to straighten out made me hit the very top level of the next section of track. And at a funny angle, no less. Now, the very top section of track on these jumps is very short and narrow, meaning that, since I was coming in at an angle, no sooner had I landed than I immediately flew off the side; not the end, mind you, but the side of the track. This caused me not only to fly way off to the left, but it also flipped my machine around so I was actually sideways in the air. At this point I was thinking, "Oh crap, I'm going to die."

So here I am in the air, heading way off to the left of the track, flipped around, and falling all too fast. So what do I do? I yank the stick all the way over to the left, causing me to actually turn around the wrong way for a moment, spiraling down through the air. Now, since I'm in this spiral, I completely miss the second mid-air sections of track. This was intentional, however, as landing on any of them would have just screwed me up farther since there was no way I would've been able to land on them going straight. So I keep the control stick jammed over to the left and I spiral all the way around so that I'm facing the right direction and heading for the very bottom section of the track, at the end of the jumps. . . . And I make it! The landing was a very bad one, as I was still flipped sideways, and I was just barely able to keep from falling off the track, but I made it!

That was definitely most insane moment I've ever had in F-Zero GX, and Aeropolis: Dragon Slopes has since become my favorite track in the game. I really wish I had a video of that jump, because it all happened so fast I hardly even realized what I was doing. I was acting completely on reflex, and I afterwards I remember thinking, "I can't believe I actually pulled that off. How the heck did I do that?" A description really doesn't do it justice; you would've had to have seen it or done something similar in order to fully grasp just how crazy that maneuver was.

I doubt I'll be able to top Desi's story there, but here goes.

I had to potty. Real bad. It was almost unbearable. It felt like my bladder was about to burst, and I could only rock back and forth to keep from pissing my pants. My friends didn't enjoy the potty breaks, and I took them often. It wasn't my fault, really. I mean, I can't control an overactive bladder. So, there I was, chanting, "Gotta potty gotta potty gotta potty" as my friends laughed at me. Oh, they laughed, they laughed, they laughed. I heard them laugh. They began mocking me, they did. "Flushing meadows, wouldn't you like to go to the flushing meadows?" They said. I wanted to flip them off, but I needed both my hands, one to run away away, and the other to hold myself. I had to potty. Eventually, I couldn't take it anymore and paused the game.

I briskly walk to the bathroom, shut the door, and all is well. After draining the lizard, as it were, it occurred to me that I had left my friends alone with the game, with all of the controllers. This did not bode well for my return, to say the least. I suspected a very heinous plot had just been executed. I return from the bathroom and see a very queer smile upon my friends' faces. I ask them, "What did you guys do?"

"Oh, nothing, not really anything," they coyly reply with a sinister chuckle.

I sit back down, pick-up my controller, and notice that my character appeared on three of the four screens, his head very nicely in the crosshairs of three KF7 Soviet rifles. I see my health and armor bars, which were now fully depleted, all except for one bar of health. They had been full before my potty break. I look at my friends, they shrug, laugh maniacally, and unpause the game.

In the seconds after the unpausition, I can't quite remember what happened. It was all just a blur. But when that blood trailed down on three of the screens, and my character still held the Golden Gun, I think my friends realized that victory was not an option for them. I looked at their faces and saw daggers in their eyes. They hit Start to respawn and went marching to their death again.

Oh, tis sweet, sweet memories of an age long forgotten.

I don't have any good stories, but if you want to know what I think is absolutly nuts, I can do that. In Ikaruga, play a Normal Game on Hard mode. When you reach Chapter 5 (if you do; Hard mode is extremly difficult), change your ship to black if it isn't there already, and hold down the fire button. Tons of small white ships appear at the beginning of Chapter 5, and on hard, every ship fires back when you destroy it. So not only do you have to avoid the white ships trying to ram you, but you have to avoid the tons of white bullets coming at you. Try and make it through that without dying (no, I've never managed to do it). If that's not insane, I don't know what is.

All right, people! Let's spice things up! This thread is the counterpart of the "Most Frusterating Gaming Moments".

I'm sure y'all have had those times when you point at the TV and yell, "In yo FACE, [insert adjective followed by a string of profanity]!" That's what this thread's all about. I'm hoping to get some laughter here, and some GL-OR-IUS moments .

I bet you wanna know some of my gl-or-iusss moments (okay, so I'm being cheesy. Sue me XD).

One of mine would have to be paying off the WHOLE house loan in Animal Crossing. Seriously!! That drove me INSANE, but when I finally got the statue of myself erected, I did a victory dance for about ten minutes tops, lol! :whoops:

Another would have to be finally getting a Gold Chocobo in FFVII, MANUALLY leveling up my Level 5 Electabuzz to 100 in Pokemon Crystal (and a few others)...basically just "ganging up" on the video game verablly when I accopmplish something that took me forever to do.

I find yelling at my games in triumph, especially at FF Tactics Advance, to be utterly satisfying. XD *sighhhh*

One more moment would have to be in Star Fox Adventures, when I finally passed the "Test of Bravery" or whatever, and the constant B-button-mashing when I was riding on the back of a pteradactyl and had to shoot those towers down.

hmmm...well beating Tokyo Extreme Racer Zero the first time was a serious "HUT-AHHH" moment. Yes. and then of course when i beat Devil May Cry 1 for the first time...well, d**n, i just was all ecstatic n shi'ite. uh...hmm...well...i guess getting a few points in Pong was a pretty high acheivement for me. and getting to the third level in Asteroids was a pretty sw33t acheivement.

ah and beating SSX Tricky was pretty fun.

i guess thats all, really.

except for all those go***mn monsters in Devil May Cry, which i realize i have already mentioned. Damn they are hard to kill...like the possessed tanks and helicopters.

Hmm... I haven't completed FF7 yet, but I remember someone telling me about the three armed mechanical thing before the sub, abiut how hard it was to fight because it would grab your partners. I remember giving it a beating, without Cloud, and no one died... I was like, "In your face, haha!" I also remember when, years ago, I defeated OoT for the first time: I had gone into andrenalin mode then, with my siblings cheering me on. I thought it was such an accomplishment, that I fought that battle over and over again... until I could beat Gannon in 5 minutes, bwa ha. Pretty much any decent boss fight gives me l33t pleasure. (pardon my leet speak.)

I really can't think of many of my classic glorious moments in gaming. . but one of the games I tend to play a lot with friends currently is Halo. The other night, I was playing against my older brother Chris (who is pretty good at the game), my brother David (who, himself, is pretty good), my buddies Jay and Erick (both are ok). . and then they gave me our buddy Josh (who sucks) as a handicap. .

Well, I ended the game with 48 points (49 kills, but I killed myself on accident once). . it was pretty awesome, the next closest point count was 13 points. . it was a lot of fun. We also played a shotgun only game in the Tombstone level, where me and Josh just pwned everyone! lol, it was a lot of fun, and they couldn't believe that we could pull off a victory (it was like a 3 point game, and was going back and forth for the whole game. . )

I once get Ultima weapon, FF7, to kill himself (by accident of course). It was the final battle, and in a last ditch effort, it cast Shadow Flare on Vincent. Vincent, at the time, had the Reflect Ring accessory equipped. And so it was that Ultima Weapon was fried by his very own signature attack. Happy days.....

Okay, so that wasn't really that insane. If I can remember anything better, I'll add it on later. But, neh, this'll do for now.

Well, mine may be dorker than cool, but I thought it was awsome.

A few nights ago me and a few buddies decided to make a game on halo with the kill limit set to the max(can't remeber what but it was alot). So we played for about 5 hours strait since most of my friends are chickens and like to snipe. We stayed pretty close, within about 3 of each other. But I fell behind and my other friends were one or two away from winning and I needed 5. So I picked up a rocket launcher and noticed my friend in a warthog about to come under me. I waited and jumped down, landing on the top of the warthog, and bashed him. He died and I saw my other friend running at me, so i took out my sniper and picked him and my other friend off. So I hop in the hog and go to get health at a base, but two of friends respawned at my base and were shooting each other. They didn't see me and I rran them down.It was so funy because my one friend needed only one to win and he had my other friend down to about one shot when I ran him over. He pissed at me for about 3 weeks.

And then their was time I got a 350 combo Ninja gaiden with the Vigorian Flails.

Oh ho ho! YES! This is spawing over 3 different games, Metroid Prime, Eternal Darkness, and Ogre Battle 64

Metroid Prime: I had just beaten the game up to Omega Pirate on Hard Mode, and was going to fight Meta Ridley. I kicked his butt into the ground, only losing one energy tank. I get to MP, though, and I just pawned it. I didn't get hit ONCE, even on last form. I also got 100%, and was overjoyed...

ED: I was on the Xel'lotah path, my third. I just got done with the Gatekeeper, and was going on to Pious. I ran up and smacked him with the Enchanted Gladius and then used the ghosts to hit the Artifact. Pious didn't hit me once either! I watched the secret ending, and laughed so hard when I realized I had beaten the game 3 times in one week.

OB64: Not much to say, but I was the GOD of Ogre Battle. By the mission 30, My levels were 50-60, WITHOUT THE ITEM DUPE CHEAT. I beat Danika's butt back into the tree and got the High Chaos frame ending with Destin and Gilbert.

I've actually had a few totally awesome gaming moments. One was in Tekken Tag Tournament, where I was playing my friend at team vs mode. Just for laughs, I said he could have a full team of 8 guys, and I would only use one. The battles started, and one by one, I took out each of his guys and barely got hurt. And if that isn't already hard enough, I did it without switching my fighters a single time. He was totally speechless after that fight, and to this day he never plays me at Tekken Tag Tournament anymore. Another one is a record I've kept to this day. I've won almost 1,000 fights in Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution (Quest Mode) and my winning percentage is 100. That's right, I've fought almost a thousand guys in that game, including extremely hard fighters called Champions, and I haven't lost a single time. Not to brag......wait, ya I'm bragging.......but I'm the King of fighting games. I can beat anyone I know at any fighting game and I'll always kick their ***. Lemme think, what else? I've beat almost every Final Fantasy game too. So far I've beat: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, almost 8, 9, 10, X-2, plus Chrono Trigger, Tactics, Tactics Advance....I would play 11 but it's too freakin expensive to play that game.

TOTALIMMORTAL - Pick any MvC game, or X-Men vs game, and I'll wipe the floor with your corpse(s). :)

One of my most glorious moments - Getting Yojimbo to perform Zanmato (FFX). What a waste of money, but just so cool to watch.

Mine would be.......

FF VII- when i trashed out all the Weapons Ruby and Emerald in just 2 minutes each. Imagine all your characters going into "Lucky 7" (hehehehe). If you don't know what "Lucky 7" means PM me.

GGX2- The story Mode in this game really knocked off my seat when i finished it. Imagine battling a full bar enemy with your health bar is 5% only (Hard difficulty)

That's some of my achievements. I'll remember some of it soon......

When I read about the Lucky 7s, I didn't believe it.... but when I was SO desperate to kill Emerald that I tried it... I couldn't stop laughing.

It was PLAIN ridiculous. I thought it was just some stupid joke among FFVII players.

"Giving a character Lucky 7 is hard but giving three is insane". That's my friend said to me when he saw me fighting one of the boss with Cloud in "lucky 7" format. When he said it, I loaded my saved file, the file before fighting Ruby. Then my friend said "You do not intend to fight him in your current situation don't you?" I just smiled and said "Just watch me fight" After approaching Ruby weapon and the screen blurred, I put down my controller and yawned and said. "Can u please wake me up after the battle?". my friend's jaw dropped when he saw all of my characters is in Lucky 7 that he said to me "Are u a demon or what????" I just smiled:)

One time when I went to my friend Chris?s house he was playing a friend of his, Ben, on an X-box game called ?Unreal Championship?. Seeing as the X-box and the game both belonged to Ben, he was massacring Chris. Eventually after losing 3 straight rounds, Chris let me play Ben. Now I have never played on an X-box before this and never played Unreal Championship before, but after a basic explanation of the controls I decided to try. The little cheater Ben, decided to turn on a mutater called insta-gib, that?s where you get a one-hit-kill weapon with unlimited ammunition, along with having 10 computer controlled characters fight us as well. Needless to say Ben was killing me no problem whatsoever. Then I for some reason changed my grip on the controller so that I held it like a Playstation Analog controller. (My first gaming station was a Playstation and it came with an Analog controller, I am God with those.) After that, I began to wipe the floor with him. We were playing to 50 kills, and I had amassed 6 kills before that, and he was winning the round with 38 kills. He had a 32 point lead, and after adjusting the controller, I killed him and the bots 27 times without getting hit once. Then I got the rest of the kills needed without getting touched.
How did you get RUBY to put your characters in lucky 7s? With Emerald, the Aire Tam Storm makes life very easy... but Ruby?

Please explain.

Phil
Can you clarify the question??? Are you asking if it's how did I make RUBY Weapon cry (hehehehe ^_^) by using Lucky 7 or how I have put all my characters into Lucky 7 and used it to kill RUBY?

Bingo. The latter. See, I'm no TOTALLY with it on the system of the Lucky 7s. In the American version, the one I play, I know that if you hit Lucky 7s, your character goes mad crazy and starts pummeling the opponent for 7777, a ridiculous amount of times. After that, as long as they stay in the 7s, everything you do, attack, heal, whatever, is in the amount of 7s.

The only time I EVER hit lucky 7s, was when fighting Emerald Weapon, because of his Aire Tam Storm ability. But other than that, it's never happened. My question is, because I've never tried it, if they begin the round in 7s, do they automatically start beating the crap out of the opponent with the stream of attacks?

That's right! Lucky 7 is a special attack in FF VII that when the characters life is 7777, he/she will flash and goes on a rampage (according to you that I totally agree!). For me, I know that in Lucky 7, the character will strike 64 times (if I'm right) with 7777 damage each strike(7,777x64=497,728) and if all characters go into Lucky 7 it would be 497,728 x 3 = 1,493,184 (hehehehe) And Ruby and Emerald weapon only has 1 million life each excluding their parts but heck they will be killed if the body is massacred (hehehehe for me that's the WORD for that:) ).

I did it with just materia mastery and some calculations. I'm not being selfish but I don't want to share my computations. It's just like evryone that hears about it like my friends tried it and the truth is IT WORKS and anyone can do it. it would just take a liitle devotion and computations in the game. Because of that achievement I became a "legend" at the place I was playing to. I know that you can also do it. It just takes time and hardwork. And also I had my Master Summon, Master Magic (as I remember..) and The Knights Of The Round as well in disc 1. (no joke I really had it!)
