The Simple Life and The Simple Life 2:Dumb Blondes

I think that those shows give blondes a bad name. If you ask my opinion, I think they both are snobby, spoiled brats that steriotype blondes into the "stupid" category. What do you all think (probably mostly my fellow angry blondes) about these stuck-up girls with their own TV show that make them look even worse?

The Simple Life is just the culmination of those things. . Put two beautiful (sorry if that word is too strong for some. . I don't like them, but you can't deny it) women in normal - yet, totally unnatural - situations for them, and you have the Simple Life. . .A pathetic show that hopes on a few big factors. . 1) young girls will watch it because they want to see these 'role models' and how to dress/act/look like them. . 2) males of all ages, who by watching the show, think that by hoping hard enough, that they have some chance with these women. .

I have never watched either, so perhaps my perception on the show is off? . . But I think I have the basics of it! I will again, NOT tune into this program. I like a lot of what FOX puts out. . but this is just one of those shows that I stay away from. Sorry if this hurts anyone's feelings, but I don't think that just because you are rich, that you deserve the respect of everyone, it takes a little more then that! [/SIZE][/COLOR]

well i too cant stand blondes who act ditzy. im blonde but not a dumb one. but i think the show is really more about how funny it is to see those rich bitches know what its like to do normal stuff. but they really are just spoiled brats . and you cant help it if people think blondes are dumb because theres just as many dumb poeple with other color of hairs if not more. but yeah and i like my hair color so who cares what people would think. it funny

I've never watched the show but I've heard enough about it to wonder how Christina Ricci and Paris Hilton can manage to remember to breath without instructions let alone get 'dressed' in the morning and i use the term dressed loosely.

Reality TV in general has really gone down hill since America's Funniest Home Videos and MTVs Real World. I mean look at what we've begun to air-For Love or Money and My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance. If that isn't proof that Americans don't give a crap any more what's on air than what does?[/color]

Man i remember watching that show and was thinking what the hell is this *#?! . I thought it was pathetic and lame. Dude also those girls look too slutty! The show its self is stupid. I mean why bother ? So we can go and watch a couple of stupid bimbos act like spolit little brats. Those girls paris and whater eva the over one was called did my head in cause every time i would had to see them messing around and its just pathetic some of the stuff they did. I mean putting make up on cows. :rolleyes: and also trashing a bar then going back and apologising. What a load of ball :mad: I wish i had wasted that presicious bit of time in my life watching that piece of trash.

Trust me, not all blondes are dumb. (Many of my friends prove this.) The Hilton sisters though, are stupid, slutty, spoiled rotten, need to be kicked out on the streets for a year just to see how they do little brats. They probably were never taught morals or proper manners or even how to apply makeup properly. They give all girls a bad image, as do most celebrity girls in the spotlight currently. :flaming:

I'm sorry to be the odd ball, but I lovet the show because one, its hilarious to see the two rich girls go threw a regular Joe's life, two, Paris Hilton is probably the only poster girl I've ever had for some unknown reason to me, and three, because I live in a small town at the moment and I fantasize that they will come across my dusty little slice of heaven.

But really, I don't think the show is all that bad. Its funny to me. And call me shallow, but its just great seeing Paris Hilton turn the small town guys to a puddle of bumbling goo, and I would probably do the same in their situation. Its just good old American fun. I've never quite grasped the resoning for this shows green light, quite frankly.

Take two rich girls (Paris and Nicole) out of their pampered lives and let them live a regular "Joe bloggs lifestyle". Can they think of anything more pathetic, that making a show that revolves around two grown ladies moaning, (simply because, I believe, there is no Gucci speciality store in Altun.. or wherever the hell they are staying)

I never watched this show, but only because it relied exclusively on sex appeal and a corny-as-the-cob premise. It just didn't seem that interesting. Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie (daughter of singer Lionel Richie... yes, she's black) are two rich, spoiled, snobby girls. I'm not going to deny that. I will, however, say that they're not quite as snobby as we want to think. They did, mind you, want to move to a rural town and live "the simple life" for a period of time. They even were willing to give up their designer clothes the whole time. Fox wasn't having that, but it's the thought that counts. They know they're rich and pampered and wouldn't give up their expensive lifestyle for anything, but they're willing to admit that.

Doing this crappy reality show isn't going to change their way of life (party, party, sex tape, sex tape, party, sex tape, party, party), but it might give them more respect for people with less money or less "in" than them.
