Guest Midnight Rush
IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not post in this! This thread is for the purpose of organizing the story that my friend and I are crafting before we launch it. A Duet is two people and that means not you! (Unless you are me or Cyriel) Plot Summary: Two Diamonds, the Eastern and Western Stars, the gems of Isreal that once were the Eyes in the Statue of King Solomon, were stolen in 300 B. C. The thieves who took the stones, Cassius and Capernicus, could not agree on anything, so they split up. Cassius returned to Rome, and Capernicus went East. Nearly five hundred years later, the news of the theft leaked. Adventurers and criminals from all across the globe: From Thrace to Kwangtung, sought them. Many just gave up, hundreds either murdered each other or starved to death, but there were a few men and women who became so obsessed with the diamonds, and their perported powers, that they simply didn't die. Of course they left their mortal bodies behind, but their spirits focus forced their spirits to stay until they recoved the diamonds. These few, these deadly few are known as "Seekers" (Too Cliched I know, but if you think of anything better do tell). And slowly, as the hype burned out, the legend and the "Seekers" faded into time's lost pages. Forgotten by man and book alike, no one remembered the Eastern and Western Stars until the 19th century. Captain Sir Richard Francis Burton, when returning to England from the war in Paraguay, stopped in Massachusetts to visit a very mysterious man: Maxiamillion Crowell. Burton reportedly gave Crowell a small box, and the whisperers said that the box contained the Diamonds that were for so long thought to have been in the rough. The Seekers, who had been looking all over Asia, the Middle East, and Europe for the diamonds, slowly but surely came to New England. They found Crowell's House, Blackwater Junction, and killed Crowell and his family. The Seekers, however, were not able to find the diamond, although they looked and looked all through the house... and the grounds... and the wolf-infested forests that loomed nearby. The box was never found, and the "Seekers" remained there to look... It is 1890.... An odd little man by the name of Tyler Brock, purchased the home of Crowell and turned it into a sort of apartment building... one that boasted of Victorian furniture and architecture, and of being haunted. I was thinking our characters could be the tenants, and somehow stumble apon the whole mess of the diamonds, and try to find them and put the ghosts to rest before they are all killed. I absolutely loved the idea of an actross time story though, so that is how we can explore various parts of the legend, and explain the backgrounds of the Seekers (6 of them??). Anyway Cyriel, tell me what you think. I'll post my char. after you.
Cyriel
Good so far! Everything looks as it should be... :) My main char: Name: Briseis Leigh Thomas a.k.a. Breise (pronounced BRY-see) Age: 16 Gender: Female Appearance: see attachment Bio: For the moment, Briseis is living in the Crowell House because Tyler Brock is her distant uncle, and she is attending school nearby. Unemployed for the moment, she's the coffee-house type, dark, casual, and everything else. As for her "Uncle Brock," according to her, he and other persons of authority are non-existent. Guest Midnight Rush
Name: Patrick Beam Looks: See picture, minus gun and about 15 years younger Age:i15 Gender: Male Bio: Currently living at Blackwater Junction as a student. He attends university (sometimes ^_^), during the fall/winter. He's the casual slightly bright type, favoring one liners over actual conversation when he gets mad. Overall likeable and nice person, working on controlling his temper and doing a good job. He looks authority in the eye and completely ignores it at times (when he has other plans, he's not rebellious for fun).
