ChibiHorsewoman
My brother just adopted this 3 month old pit bull mix and named him Guy (you don't want to know what my parents are calling him) since that's what he called his male teachers through out high school (he called the female ones miss). So now my parents house consists of two dogs and a cat. The other dog is a 9 year old female Beagle named Fudd like Elmer Fudd. Right now she's less than thrilled with the puppy, but she's being social and showing him who's boss. The cat is a black and white domestic short hair female named Domino. She likes to play, but she's not sure what to think of Guy since he plays back. So, does anyone else have any family pets they'd like to share? I hope this isn't too dumb of a post, but there wasn't one up here so I thought it might be okay.
SaiyanPrincessX
I have two cats. The eldest is Samantha. We call her Mantha instead of Samantha more often, mainly by habit. We always have these strange names. Shes black and white, and very skinny. Shes quite old too. Shes our Phoenix cat, we got her when I was in 4th grade, so its been almost 8 years or so now. She used to be very athletic, and liked to leave various 'presents' for us at the back door. Its amazing how smart she is. When she was younger she would sleep at the end of my parents bed, and when my dad's alarm clock went off she would start biting his toes, the same time everyday. She never used a litterbox either, she loved going outside. Now, however, shes gotten alot diffrent in her old age. Her whole physical appearce is diffrent now. You can definetely tell she is older. Her body is small and slender, and shes not as quick as she used to be. Although her jaws could still kill you. o_o Benjamin, which we simply call Benny is the youngest of the two. We got him about 3 years ago in Akron, near my grandma's. His name was originally Pharaoh. Hes orange and white. He was one of the friendliest, frisky cats there. He was about one when we got him, maybe not even that. Him and Samantha don't really get along. He likes to pick on her every chance I get, and shes always hissing and growling at him. Benny is a bit of a bully, yet hes a big baby. He kills little rabbits and mice, and tries to act tough, but in reality he gets scared if you shuffle your feet against the floor. When he comes in from outside I'm the first one he looks for. ^_^ He has the loudest meow too, which can be incredibly aggravating. I've had cats my whole life. We've only owned a few dogs, but far more cats. In all I'd say we've had atleast 30 cats or more in my life. I'd get into that, but I'd better not. The top of my right hand has about 12 scars created from cats. -_-; I think I may have gone into way to much detail.
Vicky
I've had a lot of animals... and you want to hear their names... My mother had a very fierce dog called Mercy, he died, but he's part of the story. First we used to have Tiny, the oldest cat, she's about 13 years old now, and is the longest surviving Animal in my time (surviving as she isn't dead and hasn't been given away). Then we got Harry, the hamster. Great little guy, always played around with us, we could even leave him out all night and find him in the morning. Brilliant. He died, my mum told us he died of old age, but we found out Tiny got him... Then, I got two Kittens, well, used to have two Kittens, Lucky and Whizzer. They where really funny, and Whizzer normally got stuck under the table. Anyway, they got to adults, and my oldest cat (Tiny) kept out of their way. But because Lucky and Whizzer messed about so much, my mum was getting ill because of them and stuff. So she decides to give them away to someone while me and m bro were on holiday. Leaving us with one cat, Tiny. And then, we got two fish. Revel (my one) and Max. Max died, Revel became ill and almost died. She survived, then we got Dishy, Comet and Blackly. Blackly died a year ago, and Revel's still alive after 2 or 3 years. Then came the pest of the west, Chance, my dog. He's brilliant.. Smart, but funny in a dumb way, he's playful, he's good at tricks, he loves to watch the hamster, and he likes to play with tiny. Best friend I ever had. Next we got another Hamster, Squash. He still alive, but he's dieing. He's gotten ill and old, and I won't speak anymore... And then... all hell broke loose when we got Lucky. She's insane, plain and simple. Tiny little kitten, likes to claw her way up your jumper and attack everything in sight, including the windows. She's just... mad. Now we have Chance, Lucky, Tiny, Revel, Squash and the other fish which are my brothers. Look at all my pets names, they have something to do with luck. Chance: Last chance. Lucky: You just got lucky Revel: Which is the name of my character which survived a war Mercy: Let'm live Squash: What's so lucky about being squashed? Lucky & Whizzer: You got Lucky and Whizzer's just plain and normal... Tiny: Small chance... Weird...
roxybudgy
I currently have four Budgerigars (1 boy and 3 girls) and five Zebra Finches (2 boys 3 girls). And the Americans ask "What is a budgerigar?". They're parakeets, but Australians call them budgerigars, or budgies for short. Ted is a male budgie, has a green body, yellow head and black stripes. I read this book with Dilbert cartoons in it, and one of the headings was 'Ted - The Generic Guy". When I was choosing names for my budgies, Ted didn't have any distinguishing features, he is an average budgie, so I decided to name him after Ted the generic Guy, because Ted is a generic guy budgie. Being the only male budgie, he has his pick of females, right now, he seems to be mating with two females, Crystal and Rainbow (the two-timer!). Rainbow is the prettiest female in the aviary. She has a light yellow head with grey stripes, and her body is green fading into blue, hence the name Rainbow. I think Rainbow is considering breeding, but she can't seem to choose which nesting box to use, and her mate, Ted, is seeing another budgie. Rainbow also tends to pick on Black the Zebra Finch. Crystal is the other love of Ted's life. Crystal seems to want to breed also, but she seems to always want the nesting box that Rainbow has an interest in. Crystal is often seen chasing Rainbow away from a nesting box or Ted. Crystal is named after her silvery blue colour of her body, she has a white head and very faint grey stripes. Yuki , poor Yuki, she has been looking unwell since I got her, or is it him? Yuki is an albino so I'm not really sure whether he/she is a girl/boy, but signs indicate the she may be a girl. Recentlyaly face mites so her beak is really deformed. I have been putting medicine on her beak. Being albino, she is all white with red eyes and I named her Yuki because Yuki means snow in Japanese, burt if she turns out to be a he then I'll rename her Yuuki, which is a boys name in Japanese. All she does is huddle on the perch with her feathers fluffed up, poor thing. Black the Zebra Finch. He is the father of two of the finches in the aviary, Kiko and Cocoa. Black is called Black because he has a black chest whereas regular Zebra Finches have a black and white striped chest. Black has two girlfriends, Kiki and Grey (another two-timer!). Unfortunately, Black's left wing is all messed up so he can't fly, and he keeps bashing his wings against the aviary in an attempt to climb to the top perches which means his wing would probably never get better. Every night, he finds his way to the top perches and huddles with his two girlfriend whoi take turns to preen his head. Black is often eing picked on by the budgies, especially Rainbow. Kiki, the only successful mother in the aviary. She laid eight eggs but only two suvived to adulthood. Those darn budgies keep messing with the finches, If I didn't love them so much I probably would have banished the budgies to the cage. Kiki is called Kiki because she looks just like the other female finch so she needed a different name. Kiki seems to be more shy than Grey, and she seems to like sharing a nest with Grey, so she probably doesn't mind sharing Black with Grey. The only visible difference between Kiki and Grey is that Grey's beak is red and Kiki's beak is orange. Grey, Black's other girlfriend. Grey has tried to breed, but the budgies keep eating her eggs. Grey is quite bold, sometimes she attacks the budgies if they get near her nest while she is nearby. Grey and Kiki share a nest at night, and if Black is able to make his way up to the nest, they let him join in. Kiko the houdini finch. Kiko is the cute little daughter of Black and Kiki. When she was just a little fledgling, just learning how to fly, she escaped my grip and flew across the street, I had to go to class in half an hour so I was chasing after her, I found her but being a fledgling, he attempt to fly back to me failed and the wind blew her across another street, its a long story but I managed to get he back. Just recently, she escaped again, but flew back on her own, lucky! kiko is her official name but I usually refer to her as "The Little White Finch". Cocoa, Kiko's brother. Cocoa is the weirdest looking Zebra Finch I have ever seen. His back is grey, he has orange cheeks and orange under his wings and his belly and chest is black. His official name is Cocoa, but I call him "The Little Black/Brown Finch". I raised Kiko and Cocoa myself after they were attacked by the budgies. After being healed, Kiki didn't recognise them as her own offspring so I was stuck with looking after them, now they are all grown up and Kiko is expecting eggs, her mate is her brother, but I guess it would be weirder if her mate was her father. I just love my budgies and finches, sorry if I went on for too long.

Fyxe
Although we have had many pets, we now only own two cats. Chester and Lucas. Both very different in personality. Chester: Now, Chester, is a very... large... cat. I do believe his current weight is about 30 pounds. He is about 6 years old, not the friendliest cat to live. He tends to be very grouchy, but loving when he thinks it's appropriate. He is black and white. Currently he is at the vet... poor kitty... he is sick and is being hospitalised. It's not the first time he's been sick, he used to have a bladder problem, which led to him thinking that he was to good to use the litter box. You see, he is an indoor cat, so it doesn't help us any. He likes to take dumps at the front door best, so now our house smells like cat crap. I lve him anyway... cool cat he is. ^.^ Lucas: I just got Lucas last year. He is a tanish orange color with white stripes. He is very skinny, active, and bubbley. He is very affectionate as well. I don't have that much to say about him besides that fat that he is so cool. I love to watch them fight over cat nip and get high off of it. Lol. That's why I call them the 'Drug Wars'. It pretty funny to watch them fight as well. Lucas does a little boomerange routine while Chester just sits in the middle of the floor and watches Lucas and bats at him occasionaly. There are my pets. ^_^

Skye
::crakcs knuckles:: Here we go... I'll start with the oldest. Nicholas Cat: Nicky (Or Fritz) is the oldest. Three years, I think. He's a black cat(used to be a pure black), with a white spot on his chest and gold-green eyes. He has a high voice... not the type to be held, but loves to be petted. Henry henable Spot: Yup. THats his whole name. He's a orange tabby, and the only cat we have that will sit still in your lap for more than ten minutes. He's the loudest, but very lovable. Isabell Gretchen 'THing': Her nickname is Bobo Bizzabell or Miss thing. She's a calaco, and Herny's sistter. She his kinda heavy set. She will let no one pick her up, except me. Anyone else tries to pick ehr up, and she turns into a razor fur ball. I'm kinda her person, while Henry is my brothers.... We've had theese cats for about two years. Next up is Lancelot Alexander: He's almost a year old. He's my baby, and he's a collie labrador mix. He's this tawny gold color, except for his paws, the tip of his tail, and a stripe that goes down his muzzle, gets large at his chest, and covers his belly. He's big, but he thinks he's a lap dog. One of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet. Beauty Bell Froglet Hyper Tension Chew toy(with to many nicknames to count) is the next youngest. We call her belldandy, bellydancer, rubber belly, beally dan, belly, beauty, it goes on. She is a black terrier, though whic kind, we don't know. We thik Cairn terrier, but not sure. She's black, and has the longest legs! She stands on her hind legs and dances with us. Last but not least is Cameron Blue Eyes Cat. He's my brothers cat, and not even a year yet. He's a pain in te butt, but a love if you give him catnip. He's a grey-blue-brown tabby, and small. He and Bobo always fight. Lessee.... before Alia moved out, we also had two fish. One was seven years(or was it eight?) and was a goldfish. He died last year. The other one died the year before that. So thats eight pets, with only six stilll living. My mom had a parakeet that could sing 'If I was a Rich Man' from Fiddler on the Roof. But her cousin Daneille let it out of the house and it flew away. It used to attack shoe lace strings, and would wake my grandmother up by sticking his beak in her ear and singing to her.
Panda
My pets are my kids. It's to the point when my parents come to visit they refer to themselves at "grandma" and "grandpa". I also think this is their way of trying to hint at having some real grandchildren. >_< Oldest to youngest: Ana Ng, Siamese cat who rules the house with an iron paw. She is in charge. All the other pets respect her. When I say respect, they fear her. She will run out of a room just to swat at the dogs who aren't doing anything to her. I think just knowing they are there annoys her. She is named after my favorite They Might Be Giants song. Brynner, he is a pound puppy. My best guess is he is a Rottweiler/German Shepard/Chow Chow mix. He was one of twelve from a litter. If he were a person he would be the big good looking jock that wasn't too bright. My pet name for him is Bun Bun. He is named after Yul Brynner. Heston. He is a stray I adopted. He as abused before we got him. Very sad story. He is still afraid of men. Poor pup. He is named after Charlton Heston. Harrison. Harrison is a cat I adopted from the vet clinic I worked at. He was brought in by a client because he had deformed front legs. He is a special needs kitty. He is really a kick in the pants. He loves to sit up. Looks like a penguin. He is named after Rex Harrison. If you want to read more about my pets I did do a bit of a write up on them on myO site with pictures and everything. I wish I were with them right now instead of work. They are all probably sleeping.....I am so jealous!
John
My family has had many pets over a course of years, but never too many at one time. Dogs. Yes, I'll start with dogs. I believe I've only had two dogs in my whole life, Biscuit and C.C. (our current dog). We adopted C.C. six or seven years ago from the pound, and there's really not much to say about her. I have no idea where Biscuit came from (outer space, maybe), and I was very young when he was around. The only memory I have of him is getting on his back and trying to ride him, falling off, and seeing a shaggy, white blur that was his underbelly flash across my face as I was lying face-up on the ground. The real stories come from our cats. At the same time that we had Biscuit, my older siblings all received kittens: a black one named Haywire for Joe, an orange striped one named Tiger for Jen, and a white one named Snowball for Joanna. Back in those days, we would boil crawfish on a consistent basis, so we had huge mesh sacks that the 20-50 pounds of live crawfish (I can't give a very good estimate) came in. Every Sunday, Joe would put Haywire in an empty sack and swing him in circles while singing "Jingle Bells, Batman Smells", thus his name. Tiger was a fairly normal cat, but mean. Snowball was also normal, but the story of her death is noteworthy (backed over by the Suburban). When we eventually moved to where we live now, a cat started living in our conveniently cluttered garage. We started feeding her,and named her Menu (French for cat. We're an original bunch). Menu eventually ran away, but a few years later we saw a kitten in our yard. It ony stayed for one day, but a few months ago another cat that looked exactly like the kitten we had seen started also to stay in our garage. I'm not certain, but I would swear it's the same cat. Nobody else in the family really wanted a cat, but I had been wanting one for a long time; so I took her in and named her Tito. Tito's about the stupidest cat you've ever seen, but she's a master escape artist. She's still here today.
Xander Harris
We have a beta fish. His name is Buddy. If he is hungry, he will swim to the top of the bowl and stick his mouth out of the water, demanding food. He likes to have his water changed. After we change his water, he spreads out and swims around, instead of just sitting there. Sometimes I think he is dead, but he is really just sleeping. I like our fish. And that post looks like it was written by a two year old. So sue me, they can't all be gems
Guess?
Well I have 7 animals. 6 cats and 1 dog. CATS Muggy: My lovable fat cat. The only problem with that last sentence is that he is only lovable if you're on the toilet. He hates to be touched on the face and doesn't take to kindly to his other parts being petted. Unless you're on the toilet... Very odd... T.C.: My little brothers cat. Jet black and very friendly. He is the coolest cat ever. Plus he eats dog food. Coby: My Mom's cat. This cat will throw up on you then lay down and want to be petted. If you've seen the Robin Willaims Stand Up skit about cats, you'll understand. Other than that, hes a cool cat. Moma: Yes we named a cat Moma. Shes the mother of T.C. and we got her as a pregnant kitten. She used to be a huge ***** and cut your hand to ribbons if you got close, but she got friendly. Probaly the most friendly cat we have. Oreo: A black and white cat that belongs to my littlest brother. I've dubbed her Whoreo because she will let anything do anything to her. She tried to get it from my dog once. Really funny. Shes friendly even when not in heat. which isn't very often... Huntfield: My other cat. Hes orange and meows like a freak of nature. Whoreo is his sister and they like to... procreate. I think that made my post a little tactful, at least. They had ONE kitten but we're giving it away. Its an orange and black mix. Huntfield is an ok cat. DOGS Bart: Are only dog. Hes 14, fat and going blind and deaf. Very playful though. Loved him so much in his prime. Still do, just can't play with him anymore... Cyriel
Hmm...pets... Most people refer to my house as a zoo, although I think it's nothing like it. Just because we used to have a large number of animals... Current: Mimi Sashimi Kim - my cat. MY cat. Which is kind of odd, because instead of a cat, she acts more like a dog. She comes when you call her, although she doesn't do any tricks. Wait...she does! When we take out frozen anchovies for her to eat, she rolls over on her back. And she's always waiting for us when we get home, ready to beg for anchovies. And she's scared of squirrels. Dhankohng - means "peanut" in Korean, and she's a little dwarf hamster. But I never call her her name anyway; I call her Hameestah. Oh, and she had a litter a couple weeks after I got her, but they all died. Dude - I inherited this dwarf hamster from my cousin when he moved out, and he's fat, lazy, and sleeps alot. And he has something growing on his stomach. And I'm trying to figure out if he's really a male or not. Hamtori - a golden, short-hair hamster. Shy, and extremely annoying when you want to pet him, because he runs into his little plastic tubes where you can't reach. D*** hamster. But he's very pretty. We got him only recently. Hobbes - fullgrown female leopard gecko. She's ... big.. And healthy, and laid two clutches of eggs, the last one only yesterday. Two of them hatched, and the others we're waiting on. Nacho - the male leopard gecko, and one they call a carrot top or something...he's like bright orange and yellow. Very...cheesy.. No, dangerously cheezy. ;) Calvin - one of the adolescent male leopard geckos, but not from Hobbes. We were actually planning on raising him to breed with Hobbes, but that was before we got Nacho. So...we're gonna sell him soon, to make room for the babies. Pretty obvious where the names came from, eh? I love that comic. Multitudes of fish. Don't even ask. My brother is obsessed. Oh! But we have three baby puffer fish! And they're absolutely adorable. Don't puff up yet, though.

Luminaire
Well, I love animals and they seem to have an incredible strong attraction to me. >looks at cat on lap and dog on feet< O_o;;; I used to have more, but at the moment I have one cat and one dog. My dog's name is Christy. She is a five year-old black cocker spaniel. She is the runt of the litter, but we love her all the same. She was named after Christy Tood Whitman because she was born or the day she was elected as governer or NJ. At the moment, she is most deaf, her long ears are quite a pain. My cat is Vierna. She was given to me by my aunt two Christmases ago. I always wanted a cat and my aunt finally convinced my mom to let me keep one. Vierna is a beautiful American Shorthair, but since she is a mix, she has Siamese features and a very mixed personality. The only one in the family she really likes is me. I'm her mommy, I guess. My aunt got her from a friend who had found the litter around their dying mother in an alley. A tragic tale. Of the four of the litter that survived, Vierna is the runt. She has a little white M on her forehead and an incredibly pink nose. Her paws and tummy are white, her tail and body are striped gray and black. I named her Vierna after a character from my favorite author. I looked up the name and it means little sister, which fits my kitty perfectly. ~Lumi =^_^= meow!
Queen Asuka
Oh, how I love to talk about my pets. ^_^ At HOME: Bandit. He is our oldest dog, since Bridget died in January. He's a beautiful white with black spots Pitt bull and he's SO SWEET! Well, to our family he is. He can tear a person apart on command. ^_^ He's my big baby and his nickname is bean dip. He's very well trained and I feel very safe and secure when he's near. Maybelline. She's our other bulldog and she's a goldish-red color. I'm kind of scared of her sometimes because when I walk out the backdoor, she runs at me and barks until she realizes who I am. She's my little sister's dog mostly, so I don't pay her too much attention. She got her right after I moved out for college. Chester. He's my BABY! He's the cutest chihuahua in the whole world and he's dark brown and white. (I have some pictures up on the OB Pics Site.) He's really funny to play with. When he wants you to love on him, he shows it. He will turn each cheek and have you kiss them as if he is some kind of royalty. I love him. ^_^ Honey. She's the mommy chihuahua and she's honey-colored, lol. She's also named Honey because she was Hercules's (RIP, dear Hercules) mate. She's an undie dog and an anklebiter. She'll love on you while you're sitting down, but if you stand up and turn your back on her, she'll get ya! She's weird, too, because she can climb up on our top bunk and jump up on top of our TV. You'd just have to witness it. Burton aka Squirt. He is from the latest litter of Honey and Chester's puppies. He's still very young so he is EXTREMELY hyper and loves to lick people all over the face. He's solid white and he has a scar on the top of his head, but we're not sure what it's from. He aggrivates that crap out of me most of the time, but lately he's just been really cutesy. He climbs up on the top bunk with me and curls up, so of course I think that's adorable. ^_^ Angel. She's my cat. My dad hates her, but she cleaned all of the mice out of our house in a month's time, and we had them pretty bad. She's a very eccentric cat. She likes to run out the frontdoor when it's open, hoping to find her boyfriend (who unfortunately got ran over a couple of months ago). Whenever she had kittens, she would growl and hiss whenever they got near her. She's a beautiful kitty. Her name is Angel because she has spots on her back in the shape of wings. Jesus. He's not Jesus, he's Jesus, you know, like the Spanish pronunciation? We call him Soosie for short. He's one of Angel's kittens, the only survivor. The others just went missing when they were outside. He was attacked by Honey when he was very small, so the front of his body is a bit smaller than the back of his body; therefore, he walks funny. But he's the sweetest cat ever and he comes to you when you call his name. He likes to curl up and sleep on me. ^_^ He's precious. At COLLEGE: Lancelot: He's my third Beta fish. This one is red with green highlights on his body. He's very cutesy. The first one I had was Rufus (red) and then Aragorn son of Arathorn (blue). Now I have Lancelot and he's pretty lively. Of course, since I've been home for the past two weeks, he's been living in a bowl, so he's not very happy with that. I gave him clean water yesterday, though, so he cheered up. My Other Pet: Pancho. Pancho is Ryan's chihuahua that looks just like Chester in coloration but a lot like Honey in body shape. He's my darling baby and I only get to see him once in a while when I go to Ryan's house or Ryan brings him over. He's very sweet and happy and whenever I'm near him, he just wets himself with excitement. When me and Ryan get an apartment together, we're going to make sure it's somewhere where we can have our Pancho. ^_^
ChibiHorsewoman
I'm really enjoying all these stories about everyone's pets. Domino has decided to make like Lassie on that one insurance commercial and sometimes goes after Guy. Of course, Guy goes back after Domino and she hisses at him. He tackles her whenever he comes in from the yard. Needless to say Guy has a few scratches from Domino. Guy still can't figure out that Fudd doesn't want to play with him and keeps running into her. She's nipped at him, barked at him and then come and whined to one of us. She's a nine year old baby. Fudd-9 year old Beagle with some basset hound in her. I got her from a friend of mine in middle school whose dogs had just had a litter. Fudd was one of three survivors. She used to be a hunting dog, but two years ago she pulled one of her back tendons while running in the back yard. Then she managed to pull the other back tendon in her other leg. So now she has trouble getting around. She's a substandard size and only 14 inches high, but she weighs about 52 lbs. Domino-10 month old black and white domestic short hair cat. We got her from a lady my husband was working with at Ft.Hood. Domino likes to think she's a dog-she even comes when you call and plays fetch. Domino also gives kisses and can be talkative. However, do to a kitten hood obssesion with my mardi gras beads from Vegas, and maybe something else, Domino has almost no front teeth. Guy-3 month pld pit bull mix. Mostly white with orange brown patches, Guy is my brother's dog and the first male dog ever owned in this house. He's rather sedated for a puppy, usually napping like Fudd. but he is hyper sometimes and he attacked my cow and my Goofy hat. Because he's mostly pit we have to keep him from bitting people and we can't play tug-of-war with him or play real rough. also, when he starts to bite Fudd or Domino we have to tell him 'No bite!' and chase him awy then give him something to bite on then when he does tell him good boy. Now for other animals: Heidi-My parents had this smooth haired dauschund before I was born and for about a year after. but they had to put her to sleep when she was five because of all her medical problems. She was AKC certified tho and her parent's names were Buffy of Amsterdam and Precious PeeWee. I always find that funny. Sandy-Some kind of Terrier mix. We had her until I was in fifth grade. She started to lose control of her bladder and kept getting tumors. She was about 13 when we put her to sleep, my brother was really broken up about it. The night before tho, we fed her chocolate ice cream and an Almond Joy Abby-Male Tabby cat. My mom found him by abbots frozen custard hence the name. We had him for two years then one night we let him out and he never came back. Pouncer-Calico domestic longhair male. One of the neighborhood kids found him wondering around and gave him to my mom. he got out one night, got into a fight and lost a lot of blood. It was so bad we had to put him to sleep. My brother was really sad about that. Yasha-Black short hair domestic male. The name meant demon and he acted like one most of the time. He ran away when I was in Texas. I hope someone found him and hid him in their barracks because he was a really good cat. Trinket-Bright bay thouroughbred Mare. the first horse I ever jumped. I learned to ride English on her and do the first three jumps of the cross country course at Black North Farm. She's my age (22) and is now retired at another farm as a companion horse. Ivan-dappled Bay Tennessee Walker Gelding. He was a member of the Rochester Mounted police force for a nuimber of years then retired. He went blind in one eye back in 98 but could still be riden gently. Back in 2002 the farm owner and Ivan's owner were going to put him down since the poor guy could barely eat or walk. The day they were going to euthanize him, Ivan passed away. he was 35. That's old for a horse. Lady-Frost appoloosa mare. She's the first horse I did the whole cross country course on. She had two foals (Auggie (August Knight) and Betty (Betcha I can)) and is now a retired companion horse on a neighboring farm. She went blind in both eyes back in 2000. It's a genetic trait that happens in some appoloosa's because of the skin around their eyes. Ebony-Black thouroughbred mare. She was a race horse until she was 4 and is a horse for intermediate riders and sometimes more advanced. I call her the Mare who hates everything because whenever you ask her to do something she puts her ears back. I ask her to trot, she does with her ears back, I head her for a jump, she puts her ears back and jumps. Hell, I'll give her a carrot and she'll still put her ears back. She's very pretty though, but that doesn't matter when you ride. However I love her canter. I was riding Ebony before I went on Maternity leave which is what my instructor is calling it. Which means I'll have my space back in my lesson when I come back. Well there's some more. If you really want I could tell you about my aunt Marty's dog I always babysit.
Rhym
Ah... my pets... The first pets I remember having were the ones we took care of in Berekely, CA. Molly and Otis, both dogs. Molly was a female black lab, very good-natured, and Otis was a male Lab-Husky mux, the alpha-male, always looking for trouble. We had those two for a long time, and some other pets during then. We had some goldfish, some frogs, some praying manti, we even took care of a cockatoo once. We figure that the only kind of animal we HAVEN'T at one point looked after is a reptile. However, all of those pets are now dead, most from old age, but Otis, being too aggressive, was put to sleep, and Molly died of a tumor. After moving to Utah, however, we adopted two cats, Romy and Buddy. Romy is short for Romeo, and his sister's name was Juliet. The lady we adopted those two from told us this, as Juliet had died before we adopted Romy and Buddy. Romy is a psycho, but then, what cat isn't? He's a stupid-psycho, in a funny way. Buddy is just fat. He's scared of me, although I don't know why, seeing as how we've had them both for 4 years and I really haven't done anything to make him scared of me. Well, those are (and were) my pets... ya gotta love 'em.
cinnamon
Well...My mum breeds dogs, so it's probably not such a good idea to say all of them...I won't even remember them all. Some are pretty wierd, coz their in German...Mini Schnauzers (the type of dog she breeds) are originally German, and mum has some kind of obsession with the german names...-.-' The Cat...Tabitha. She's mine, and she's 10 years old. I've got some wierd obsession with calling her kitten. Don't ask why. She has some obsession with brushing up against the gas heater, and burning her tail. Mums been breeding dogs for 14 years now, and at one point Tabitha thought she was a dog too. She used to follow us down to the park, and tease the dogs. Oddly enough she doesn'tr like it when you put a leash on her... Tabby also has a very funny tale...when she was little, My dad used to own a rental property maintainance buisness. He had a trailer for all the rubbish, and one day, tabby climbed in. Before she could get out, dad drove away to the dump, to get rid of some rubbish that was in trhe trailer. We had absolutely no idea where she was, and I was so upset. But when dad returned from the dump, he was holding a very distraught looking cat. Apparently, when he had gone to tip out the rubbish, this cat had jumped out, ran under his car and hid under the chassis(?) He had thought it was a dump cat, and was rather annoyed. But on removing the cat from his car, he realised it was our cat, and had shoved her into the back. Now, whenever she hears a car, she bolts. Good thing too, else she would've been run over by now. The dog (yes, note the singularness): Emi. Well, she's our true pet schnauzer. She is such a sweetie, and the only dog we have really gotten attached to ever. We love her to bits, but she isn't nearly as interesting as tabby ;) Cinnamon
