Skye
The girl crumpled. She had lost to much blood, and she hurt all over. She crumpled on the steps to her home, the blood on her back sticky, her wounds crying out in pain. Tears of agony streamed down her face. Alone... Oh, I am so alone... WHy? WHy did you leave me?! Steffanie lay weak, bloody, and helpless on her front step. The blood on her back stung like salt in a wound, and her eyes blurred. The tears of hatred, fear, and pain clouded her eyes and her brain, and she called, Lucifer! Take me if you must! Of course, she knew he would not hear her. Dragging her self to her feet, Steff stumbled to the sidewalk. SHe looked up at the rapidly clouding sky. She yelled, her voice ringing upon the stone of the houses like hail, "Heaven betrayed me! Lilt
OOC: Hey, Skye. I hope you don't mind if I use your character to get mine involved in the story. And don't worry, Annie. I'll find away to get to Heaven and have my character awaken. ~S.A.~ A.K.A "Taryn" Back from drawing sketches of the old monastery from the park, Allycia parked her motorcycle in her driveway and pulled off her helmet. She didn't know what it was about churches, but they sort of drew her towards them, and pushed her away at the same time. She set her helmet down on her bike. Something was wrong. A putrid smell was in the air, and there was blood leaking from her front door. She ran to a neighbor's house for help. Allycia knocked on the door, but there was no answer. She opened the door and a body fell out of the house. "Oh ****!" All she knew was that it must've been pretty bad, and she was glad that she hadn't been there. The death of her family really hadn't sunk in yet, and she didn't want it to. She had to find some place to keep her mind occupied. Maybe she could head over to the new club, "Visions", or whatever it was called. Suddenly, a girl stepped out into the street. Allycia lost control of her bike as she swerved to miss her. As the girl tried to wake her up, what she had said echoed in Allycia's head. "Heaven betrayed me! Annie
-Azrael's lust for blood was growing and brimming. His eyes turned back and forth, observing all of the chaos and torment. Feathers flooded the horizon as Anastasius reigned down her thunder. Content for the moment, Azrael lept off of the demon and landed on the cobblestoned path. Gazing about, he noticed Ann, her unconcious body slowly started to come to. She gasped for breath, waking from a nightmare only to be thrown into another. Her trembling lips called out for him, her eyes estranged and horribly frightened. Azrael smiled, she was beautiful- "Pain looks so beautiful on her..." "Azrael!! Turn to me and fight, you demon!!" - Gabriel, Arc Angel of Mercy, subordinate of Arc Angel, Metatron. His blazing sword pointed dead at Azrael's throat. Azrael's left eye spun slowly, looking the furious Angel over, reading his emotions. Cautiously, he turned to face Gabriel. The sparks of Azrael's blade spat and electrified the holy ground- "Gabriel, how nice to see that you're still Metatron's slave." "Silence! How dare you for even stepping foot here. And you have broughten Anastasius, nonetheless. Do you have any idea what God is going-" "Of course I know what He plans. Why do you think I'm here?" "...Why would you come back? To destroy God?" "No, no. I've come to simply change his mind." "Nonsense!" "Gabriel, do you really wish to vanish into non-existence? That's where you all will end up if God carries out His plan." "I will gladly and honorably perish from my God." "Bullsh*it! I know your true feelings! Your will to live is greater than my lust for blood." -Azrael was now in Gabriel's face, his hands gripped Gabriel's cloak and twisted it tightly against his neck. Gabriel's golden eyes darted over Azrael's pale face- "Then why, Azrael?" "Because of her.." -Azrael gestured over towards Ann. Gabriel followed his gaze and glanced back at the fallen Angel- "God will not forsake her, my friend. You do know this, right? Not even Metatron will hear your plea." "He will! She has done nothing but try to fight this transition. Somewhere in her soul she knows this God detests her birth. She fights to avoid the situation at hand. She's fought it all her life. Ann does not want to be an Angel." "I'm sorry, Azrael." "I just don't know how to help her..." -Azrael's voice crackled, though, no tears were formed. Gabriel dropped his sword and took Azrael's hands in his- "There is only one way to relieve her of this torture and misery." "I will not hear it, Gabriel." "Otherwise, she will end up in their hands." "I know..but I have to try." ".....Go then." -Azrael rest his forehead against Gabriel's, his grip around his cloak loosened. Gabriel embraced Azrael gently- "Go Azrael, Arc Angel of Death. You know what we all desire..life. And only you know how to deliver us. Save all of us, save humanity..and save your daughter." -Azrael nodded and broke from Gabriel's arms. He lifted himself into the air and turned to fly towards Ann. His vision focused only to find Raphael, his blade of light raised grim and despairingly, and his aim was for the terrified Angel. Azrael's speed intensified, his blood pumped madly, his anger boiling- 'AZRAEL!!!!" -Ann's desperate cry shook the Heavens. Raphael brought his sword down swiftly, but was cut short by Azrael's. Both Angel's growled and tangoed blades, forcing one another to push harder- "Azrael! This must be done!!" "Over my dead body!" "..So be it." -Raphael's now icy composure frightened Ann, she shrunk down and clutched her head. Raphael formed another sword and slashed it at Azrael's head. The fallen Angel blocked with one wing, and chuckled. A hissing sound startled Raphael- "It's called 'hydrolics'." -Azrael laughed and narrowed his eyes. Another sound was made, only it wasn't as friendly as hissing. Rather, it was a high-pitched hum, followed shortly by a commanding click. Raphael's eyes widened, Azrael's smile curled sadistically- "Goodbye,Raphael." -On que, a stream of flames shot out of the tip of Azrael's wings. Raphael's screams stopped all of the action. His body engulfed in blue flames, Azrael stood and raised his blade. Without hesitation, he whipped his arm rapidly, lashing the flaming Arc Angel- "Away with you and your hypocricy." -With those words, a scorching blue light radiated from the blade. A low rumble and a burst of immense energy. Raphael, Arc Angel of Healing, vaporized into oblivion. Azrael lowered his blade and peered around at all of the remaining Angels- "Who's next?"
Ninjah
"I want to die!" is what Kiros heard as he limped throughtout heaven. "Steff... I'll come back... After this fight is over." Kiros sighed as he looked below him. As he limped he saw Azrael. He gave a weak smile. "I've found you... My old friend." Kiros then limped behind him and places a hand on the Mechanical Angel's shoulder. "It's been long my friend." Azrael spun around and saw nothing but a pale eyed, bloody, limped body of a human. Azrael then gave a smile. "For a second he worried me... Kiros." "Hah, it's just gotta be this body. You know, with a body of this human it can attract many girls." Kiros said jokingly, "Not that I'm a womanizer or anything.. So then... Azrael. Mind telling me what's going on?" "Well...The Arc Angels seem to be troubling me." "Oh...?" Kiros turned his head to see a girl in pain. "And who might that be?" "She's an angel.." "She doesn't look like an angel.. Or could it be that she is an unawakened angel?" Kiros gave Azrael a smile. Azrael nodded. He then spun back around. "Kiros... Might that be you. The demon child... Raised in the heavens?" spoke an angel. Kiros put his hand to his head and waved the the Arc Angels. "Ahoy. It's been quite sometime guys!" "Kiros... If you side with Azrael, we to will have to kill you." said another angel as he raised his sword. "What makes you think I'm not. Heh, I maybe want to change in to my Demon form right now." Kiros felt a sharp pain in his stomach. Black demonic wings spread, and Kiros's eyes turned to their bloodshot eyes. "Kiros... You be exterminated.. Along with Azrael."
Skye
Steffanie heard someone say something, in the back of her mind. She blinked tears out of her eyes, and bit her lip. The girl with the screwed bike blinked up at her. ?Are you okay?? Steff helped her up, and gasped in pain as the wounds to her back cried out in agony. Steffanie nearly fell down again. Allycia yelped, and grabbed her gently before she hit the ground. ?Looks like I should be asking you! What in the Nine Hells happened to you?!? Steff and Allycia stumbled to the house, and Allycia forced the girl in. She gasped at the sight. ?What in the name-? ?Don?t say Heaven.? Steff choked out. Allycia looked startled. ?What?? Steff repeated herself. Steff collapsed to the floor. ?Do you really want to know? And yes, girl, it was in one of the Nine Hells. Which one, I will never be certain of?? Later, Steffanie had explain, and Allycia was bandaging her. As Allycia?s hand gently wound a poltice-covered gauze around her arm, Steff gasped. ?What happened to you? Did I?? She looked up. Allycia looked at her hand. ?Its nothing?? Steff got up, and darted out of the house. She looked to the sky as Allycia raced out. ?What are you doing?!? Steff breathed slowly. ?Kiros? he needs someone? he needs help, he can?t do this on his own!?
Revelation
""Kiros... You be exterminated.. Along with Azrael." Anastasius looked to the new demon who sided with Azrael and smiled. She then looked around at the dark ashes that covered the once white Heaven. Satisfaction reveled around her, only few angels stood amongst each other, fear quivering in their eyes, as courage overtook their hands. Anastasius chuckled an evil grin. A wicked chuckle erupted the silence once more. The angels turned to Anastasius, as did Azrael and Kiros. "Anastasius, I presume?" "You presumed correctly, my friend." The chuckle that erupted from Anastasius grew into a laughter of infamy. The fearing Angels, smirking Azrael, crying Ann, and the demon Kiros all looked to Anastasius. "Fools! Do you think you can destroy Azrael?" The Angels looked amongst themselves. "If that is what you think, then turn your weapons to me and fight me!" Nobody moved, but the wings that fluttered behind them. "I smell the fear upon you, I see the quivering bodies that try to conceal itself with a bit of courage that is burning out, I know the horror that runs in your mind, in your soul, in the Heaven! I shall ask again, who will come forward and defeat me so that you may destroy Azrael and Kiros, as well as this unfortunate, outcasted, unawaked Angel? Tell me...who will come forth?" At the last words, an angel emerged from the crowd. A winged, white lion followed beside him. He bore a sword with the hilt that had a ram emblem. Anastasius smirked. His name was Ariel, the Arc Angel of Earth. The lion roared as he stepped forward and raised his sword in front of him. He addressed the outsiders who entered Heaven. "Anastasius, Azrael, and Kiros. I appear to you to give you word to throw down your weapons! Let God fulfill his plans! Destruction has already emerged onto the Earth, as well as here in Heaven. Do not make matters worse! This paining, unawakened angel must not live! It is God's orders. The Heavenly Father shall be heard and all who hear his word will obey it or feel the wrath of my mighty sword!" At this moment, Ann began to crawl. Azrael looked to her and saw that she was gaining strength and calling out Alexandria's name. Kiros watched as the small, helpless child crawled with her bloodstained wings. Anastasius turned to look to the child. Ariel saw this as well. He venged forth and flew with extreme speed. With his sword pulled back, he lunged. Anastasius roared and flew with even greater speed. Ariel's sword began to glow a bright blue. His sword pierced the side of Anastasius, doing little damage, yet something was happening to this creature. Ann looked to Anastasius and saw that her form was changing once more. Her wound healed quickly as she changed her form. A bright light escalated all around her, an aura of gleaming black was surrounding her. The thick skin of the dragon-like scales changed into that of a silvery black glow. Her horns were lifted and shifted into a beautiful crown of white silver and rare black gems. From where her scaly wings were once, 6 shapeless wings took form. A figure stepped out from the blinding light and there, where Anastasius once was, a figure of luminescent beauty stood. All who gazed upon were awestruck and the angels bowed down on their knees. Ariel, Michael, and Gabriel all looked fixedly upon the undescribing hierarchy that stood before them. Kiros admired the aura that mistified everyone, while Azrael looked on and saw her to be the one who could truly save Ann from her near death.
Cyriel
The bright essence of Anastius's new form was seen through a haze of pain. The white wings of angels seemed to surround Ann. It frightened her, more so than the pain, for her body, though human, was getting accustomed to the regular staccato beat of it, pulsing through her blood as it ran fire. All she had to do...was hold it back. Azrael had fought off Raphael - this Ann knew by the disappearance of his aura. A death of blazing fire. She had turned away - the death of an angel was...heart-breaking to watch. And she had a desire to save Raphael. So she had turned away...so that her hand would not rise to help her would-be murderer. The selfishness of life ruled, as Ann pushed back the fire in her blood, the constant, pounding pain. Yet, she felt like she was committing the ultimate betrayal. Always she had helped people, strangers whom she had randomly passed in the streets. Wandering, pained spirits had clung to her, smiling in their sweet release from the ties of the mortal world. Once, she had been able to free pain. But now... Now it consumes me. Her punishment? Ann turned, watching Azrael, his wings cutting a swift design in the air. He's an angel...but he didn't kill me. Instead... Why does he do this? Who is he? An angel is not supposed to be like him... But she looked at the others surrounding them, their faces grim and set, their eyes clear, beautiful mirrors that only showed death. Her heart ached, a dull thud against the fiery pain running through her blood. ..But..angels are not supposed to be like them, either. Who are they? And who...is this God? Turning, her wings lifted as she started to crawl. And who.. Anastasius came into sight, and then Ann gasped as blue fire blazed, blocked only by the beautiful demon. And then...Anastasius changed. Light erupted, glowing in its seemingly purest, clearest form. It was sweet, and yet shadowed, a brilliant glow that was defined by darkness. Azrael watched, as did Ann. He whispered, almost enraptured, "...Lady of Dark Light..." A name came to Ann's lips, unbidden, instinctive, "..Melanira." Against her will, Ann shrank away, barely. But she couldn't help it - death rode on the wings of this shadow and light, this love and this darkness. Ann's hand raised, but froze, poised in silent fear. And still in awe, Ariel and the white lion waited, frozen by the lady's presence. Looking at her hand, still in the air, Ann could only see how...fragile it seemed. She could envision her bones breaking so easily, cutting through her pale skin, severing the blue veins that lay underneath her flesh. She looked over at Melanira, who was still, watching and waiting for Ariel to make the first move. Azrael and Kiros also watched, and Azrael's wings stirred in growing anticipation. The hissing sound came to her ears - the same when Raphael had died. At Azrael's hand. He...should not have died...should he? Shadow hid Ann's face as she looked down. She bit her lip, and blood ran down in a crimson stain, like a red smudge from a child's crayon. Her voice was barely audible, "...does God...hate me so much?" Does he detest my life that He will sacrifice Raphael for my death? Who else...? And she staggered up, fists clenched. Her brown eyes were wide, but the color quickly bled away to a bright green. Silver tears fell, but for anger instead of sadness. This time, her voice was clear, full of intensity as she broke the deafening silence, "Does God hate me so much??" The same question, always. Her blood pounded, swift as it lit her on fire. And entirely out of instinct, out of rage, out of her sense of hopelessness, Ann hurdled forward, sped by bloody wings, straight towards the awaiting Angel and white lion. Ariel's blade immediately rose, blazing blue fire.

Annie
-Azrael folded his arms lightly, watching the glory of this now wakening Angel. Kiros stood confidently beside his old friend, tilting his head slightly- "She's quite powerful. Her spirit seems highly familiar." "It should. Ann's strength drawls my breath away. I don't think I've ever seen such will within a child." "Hm, do you think she has a chance against Ariel?" "Yes." -Kiros stared slightly confused as Azrael narrowed his eyes. Ann's face was twisted with pain and utter confusion, yet, it held mystique. Splendor and clarification shown through her shifting eyes. Ariel's blade glew ever so brightly as he lifted himself into the air and sped towards Ann- "Why?!" -Ann's voice pierced through the burning light of Ariel's power, shattering his blade. Ariel stopped, astounded. Ann's aura began to radiate in every direction. Beams of silvery light shot out from her body. Azrael laughed and ducked from the beams, as did Kiros- "What is this?" -Kiros chuckled and climbed to his feet- "This, my dear friend, is Ann's awakening."
Revelation
With a glowing smile from her face, Melanira the Lady of Dark light, the angel who once was a demoness of many names, is now here upon the bloodied clouds of Heaven, watching this newly awakening angel take its first step towards acceptance. Her work was beginning and her work was majestic. Beauty claimed all who had seen her, silent utters spilled from their lips as she glided over the soft heaven, and all were captured by this moment of wondrous amazement as the unwanting, distressed unawakened angel was now beginning to unfold her wings and give breath to her new life. Gliding over the soft, red clouds, Melanira stood beside Azrael and looked to the fighting child. Her surveying eyes filled with faint, avid sparkles. She spoke and her voice was harmonious, angelic even. The sound of her voice was crisp like the falling of rain, yet gentle, like the flowing breezes in the wind. Melodic, harmonious, and elegant. Her voice, sounding like music that is as gentle and quiet as the harp. "Ann is beginning to accept her angelic order. It seems as though these events have created a new beginning, no?" "Perhaps you are right. It's been too long, Melanira." Melanira still looked on at the Arc Angel and the angel child. "It has been too long, Azrael. I was entrapped in the body of a demoness, a human, and a demonic creature. I truly believe this is the final stage of my true escape. I am no longer imprisoned anywhere or in anyone." "What about Anastasius? Or Alexandria?" Kiros spoke up and this made Melanira turn her head with a smiling smirk. "It's been a long time, my friend. And as for Alexandria and Anastasius...well, their powers linger within me, yet they are no longer a part of this world. I can honestly say that the three previous forms are finally what I am now. And I can truly, honestly say that...I am filled with joy to be back in the presence of Azrael." Shattering screams and wails came from the cries of Ann as she reached for Ariel, defending herself while trying to save the life of another angel. The roars of the white lion were merging with the cries, while Ariel began to speak, as the onlookers watched the two.
Cyriel
The brilliant light was gentle, bursting with purity, yet caressed with the sweet bitterness of sorrow. Ann hurdled forward, watching as Ariel's sword raised, ready to break her soul. And she felt...something come alive. Her blood was flowing with sweet fire, unspeakable in words. Every fiber of her body was tingling, alive and completely aware. Her wings flowed behind her, still stained, speeding her on her swift way. As Ann came closer, she watched as Ariel's eyes grew larger, beautiful purity tainted by the sudden surprise on his grave face. Her own eyes narrowed, puzzled, sorrowful. ...why...? Why is he... But the blazing sword came burning across her path, clear blue flame bringing heat to her skin. It touched her, passed through her. She didn't scream, didn't say a word... Ariel leapt back, the white lion jumping between them with a fierce animality. He stared at her, waiting. "Who are you??" She stood, the light still radiating from her being, a gentle aura around her. The blood glowed around her shoulder blades and wings. "I... I am Ann. Just Ann." She looked down, a silver tear tracing a smooth path down her cheek. "I'm just Ann. So why...do you hate me? Why does God hate me?" The Angel's eyes narrowed, "I do not hate you. I merely... It doesn't matter. I'm sorry, Ann, but you...should never have been." "You don't hate me, you say... But is fear..so different from hate?" Ariel said nothing. The white lion crouched, still growling, white fur ruffling in an invisible wind. Ann stretched out one hand, her fingers held out in question. "You...don't need to be afraid. Please don't be afraid," she whispered, her voice almost breaking with unshed tears. It hurt her. The fire whispered in her blood, a background of roaring life in her ears. She closed her eyes, lashes dark against pale skin. The Angel said nothing, still and silent. He paused, drawn, but hesitated at a movement to his side. Looking up, Ariel met eyes with Michael. The eyes of the Arc Angel dispelled the small seed of doubt that Ariel had harnessed. Looking back to the still girl, he raised his blade once more, but this time, it felt heavier. No doubt, the new weight in his heart accompanied it. Is this really necessary? But...God... Once again, he prepared to attack. And this time Ann was still, eyes closed, kneeling. She could feel his heart, his soul. And it made her...sad. It hurt. To relieve his pain...would she die? It's hopeless... I can't fight them. It hurts too much. She had not watched Raphael die; she would not watch Ariel either. She kept her eyes closed, unflinching against the small breath of air that signaled Ariel's attack. But she did nothing. She would not watch another angel die...especially not by her hands.
Annie
"Are you just going to watch?" -Kiros glanced at Azrael, concern filled his darkening eyes. Azrael smiled and breathed in deeply- "Do you not smell it, Kiros? As a demon, one would think you were to smell it first." "Smell..what?" "Fear." -Kiros looked to Ann as she rapidly approached Ariel. He then looked back at Azrael- "It is the fear of no one here, Azrael." "Exactly, and I know you know who it is." "Are you going to go see him?" -Azrael tilted his head curiously, watching the awakening Angel reign down her constricted wrath. He lifted himself gently and looked towards Melanira- "See to it that Ann stays alive." "Of course, Azrael, be careful." -Azrael winked and looked towards Kiros- "Coming, old friend?"
