Guest aranis
I really liked all the music in Bebop, and was looking for a similar anime to enjoy. I've already seen some Witch Hunter Robin and liked it as well. Anyone have some suggestions for something to try?
dposse
If you want a simular anime, then I would suggest Trigun. It doesn't have the great music that Cowboy Bebop has, but it is a great anime. It also has a slightly simular story. I would recommend Trigun for anyone who likes Cowboy Bebop. Also, I'm going to give you a little piece of advice. Do not just watch a anime because it is simular to another anime. If you like anime, watch all the anime that you can get your hands on. That is my piece of advice to you. TheGodlyME
How about watching Cowboy Bebop the right way...uncut? When on CN, it was most likely (definitely) edited to be significantly different than what it was originally meant to be...
Guest ScirosDarkblade
I'd also have to suggest Trigun, actually. Most people who enjoy Cowboy Bebop also like Trigun. Not everyone, but most people I know. Though most do like CB more than Trigun (I personally like Trigun a lot more). Anyway, they're similar in that both have a cool lead character, and both have a mix of humor and action. Trigun does a little more with humor early on, but later becomes mostly action and drama. I'd have to disagree that you should watch all the anime you can get your hands on. That's like liking Star Wars and then watching every American movie you can get your hands on. Always, watch what you think you might like based on friends' suggestions and so forth. No brainless renting/purchasing--it becomes very expensive. But it would be easier to suggest something to complement Cowboy Bebop if we knew what you liked the show for. Was it the action? The humor? The "cool" characters? The nonsensical plots/character backgrounds? I'm sure there's plenty of anime that is strong in at least one of those categories.
Adora
When it comes out, I suggest you have a geezer at Samurai Champloo.
MamoruAlpha
I really liked...Bebop, and was looking for a similar anime to enjoy.
I would suggest L/R: Licenced by Royalty. It's about a 2-member british spy team that goes on dangerous, yet fun to watch, missions. I saw the free full-length episode on the Geneon sample disc, earlier and I was surprised at how good it is. It's like a cross between Cowboy Bebop and Lupin III.
BlueGender
I suggest you check out Outlaw Star great series just like Cowboy Bebop, it's about a bounty hunter by the name of Gene Starwind and his band of friends traveling the universe looking for bounties in there ship. It's alot more light hearted then Cowboy Bebop and aired on Toonami about 2-3 years ago.
pbfrontmanvdp
Something i found similar to Cowboy Bebop is Noir. It has great music and the art in it is astonishing as well. It kind of follows the same premises as Bebop as in bounty heads (instead in Noir its basically whatever their client gives them and they don't strive to much in the series for how much money they get for each assassination). Noir is pretty much 2 females that are hired assassins that later on see the deeper meaning in their line or work. The main plot is them finding out what the 'Soldats' are about and to figure out how it relates to them. On a side note the anime does seem to start out a little slow for some viewers, but it is a perfect series nonetheless if you watch it all the way through. So there you have it, I would recommend maybe watching this anime.
Dagger
I would have to say FLCL to wet up tast buds then trygun and outlaw star
I would have to say that the reply quoted above is a classic case of spam. Since you're new, you may not have realized that OtakuBoards places a strong emphasis on post quality. This includes using proper grammer, spelling and punctuation; unfortunately, your post is lacking in all three areas. It'd also be nice if you chose to write more than a single sentence. Instead, take the time to justify your choices and explain why fans of Cowboy Bebop might enjoy FLCL or "trygun." To learn more about our policies, read OB's official Rules and FAQ, both of which are linked to in your left-hand navigation bar (convenient, ne?). Guest cry
the only show that i found that could even come close to bebop is the non-series movie Akira. It is as hardcore and thrilling as the uncut versions of cowboy bebop. But like i said it is just one movie and it is pretty expensive but i think it is worth it. Solo Tremaine
id start with flcl then go to outlawstar ortrigun
Did you even read Dagger's message? Gentle
One of my first choices to you would be Wolf's Rain since it and Bebop were produced by the same people though it has far less humor and stays in dramatic stages through most of the series. It might spark an interest to you. But if you're looking for something a little more similar then I don't suggest it. I'd also say Outlaw Star. It's somewhat the same. A group of bounty hunters. None of them alike in any way except that they travel together. This one is closer to Cowboy Bebop and might work better for you. But you do know that no two shows are going to be the same in every way. The two do have differences that stick out easily.

mckaylyn
Concerning Outlaw Star - Is it aired on any network at all, or will I have to drag my lazy self away from the computer, and go to Suncoast or somthing??? Thanks if you reply, if not, then you don't care, or you want me to quit being lazy and find out by myself ^^ Either way it's good ^^
vegeta rocker
Outlaw Star used to air on CN but not anymore, though it has been awhile since i have watched CN. So there is a chance i might be wrong.....but i doubt it. Even when they showed it on CN they took out an episode and did bunches of editing, but the show was overall okay. The music is also well done.
