Drip...Drip...Drip... Instead of drops of water falling into a larger pool, it was instead droplets of blood falling into a puddle of blood. The body from which the blood was dropping from was not visible, only a hand where the blood formed a stream that trickled off the index finger, down a smooth metallic body, and then formed a pool on the ground.

Snapping awake, Zoltin found himself sitting upright in his bed. Bringing his hand up to his head he shook the horrible dream away. Why did it seem now that since he was of age to choose which he would use that this dream seemed to occur more than ever? As he climbed out of his bed he looked at his mirror that was placed near his closet. His firm body was that of an athlete, but he really wasn't the sportsy type, Zoltin had only been on the track team one year in high school and that was during his freshman year. The only reason he looked so athletic was because he walked a lot to school or most other places. As soon as he had changed into his favorite pale gray shirt with slate blue sleeves, black jeans, and his usual tennis shoes he was down the stairs and into the kitchen.

His mother was standing over the stove cooking what looked like a big meal, obviously she knew that today was the day and there really was nothing she could do about it. As she turned to face Zoltin, he could tell that she had been crying. Hugging her, his mother found her voice and spoke as she looked at him.

"My dear sweet Zoltin, today you will spread your wings and choose which you will be. I just... I just... I'm sorry, I promised I wouldn't do this.." The tears, with renewed energy cascaded down her face. Zoltin smiled at his mom and hugged her.

"Don't cry mom. I know, I should leave the school right after lunch with Aaron and we will both be given our ceremonial robes for the big event. I just wish dad was here to.." This time, Zoltin was the one to let the tears loose and his mother hugged him and gave him a plate of food which he greatfully ate. As soon as he had finished, Zoltin got completly ready for school and was out the door.

His footsteps the only real noise in his quiet neighborhood, Zoltin saw Aaron standing by their usual meeting spot on schooldays, a large wooden lightpost that they had always played near when they were kids. Aaron's eyes glinted with happiness as Zoltin strode up next to him.

"Well Zhi, you ready for the big event today??"

"Kinda, I mean I'm really doubtful of it, I mean why us?? I guess that's always been my question since we were told that we were the chosen ones, and why do I have to be the..." Aaron playfully slugged him on the shoulder.

"You know what I say about today? Screw going to school, we should be able to spend this day together, just the two of us as our last day as free kids, how's that sound?" Zoltin nodded and the two headed off towards the main buisness district of the town.

And that's the opening post. Right now all you Instrumentalists, you are to just be at your base making preperations for the big event as well, that means no instrumentalist is to set foot in the town just yet.

Singers, either skip school for the upcoming festivities, or you can meet up with me and Strike, but please don't just pop up out of no where.

The hum of murmuring voices and clattering feet soon filled Jing Li?s ears, and she gradually opened her eyes. She squinted to the intense light above her, and finally focused on her surroundings. ?Where?am I?? she thought to herself, looking around in bewilderment and confusion. She saw that she was in a small white room, lying on a hospital bed and in a hospital gown. A nurse came in unexpectedly, and saw Jing Li sitting up.

?Oh my, you?re awake,? said the nurse, startled. Jing Li didn?t understand. She sat there, words unable to be spoken. The nurse pressed a button on the wall; and minutes later, a doctor came through. ?Ah Jing Li Hyobanashi,? he said, and walked over to her.

?Who?are you?? asked Jing Li. ?I?m your doctor,? he replied. ?I know this may seem awkward, but you?ve been in a coma for two years now. Your family has been worried about you. Nurse, go and call the Hyobanashi residence, and tell them she has awakened.? The nurse bowed, and exited the room. ?What?family? I have a family?? Jing Li wondered out loud. The doctor then looked worried. ?You don?t remember anything? Not even your birthday?? he asked, and she shook her head.

?Memory loss?? he muttered, and he looked back to her before walking out the door.

?Your family will be here soon, so sit tight. If you were wondering, you?ll be seventeen in three days...? As he closed the door behind him, Jing Li looked out the two-story window next to the bed. She pressed her hand against the glass, and she felt one warm tear roll down her cheek. She wiped it away softly, and the nurse then brought her something to eat.

Afterwards, a man and a woman appeared through the door, tears in their eyes. The woman hugged Jing Li, her shoulders shaking with sobs. Jing Li felt paralyzed, for she didn?t know what to do. ?Honey,? said the woman. ?The doctor told me everything. You might not remember me, but I?m your mother.? She withdrew to look into Jing Li?s eyes, which were hurt and clouded. Jing Li couldn?t remember her!

She couldn?t remember any of them. But she felt she could believe them, and was then struck with a pang of thirst to reclaim her memory. They checked her out of the hospital, and then drove away to their house, talking of great festivities that day. Jing Li saw two boys walking on the sidewalk, and then glanced at the sky.

Her eyes began to grow hot, but never did another tear collapse.

Hope that was okay, as the first part.

Ryo sat up in bed. She looked to her clock and saw that it was 8:30. She groaned and rolled out of bed and ran to get ready. Ryo ran past her calender and ran back to look at the date, it was the day that people that had come of age would be allowed to choose what type of mecha they would be/represent. Ryo smiled, remembering that today, Zhi and Aaron would be able to choose, even though they were a year younger than her, she was friends with them, but she had always been closer to Zhi than Aaron. Ryo looked into her dresser and saw her uniform, and her usual clothes. She was debating whether she should go to school, or skip it. Ryo smirked and grabbed her regular clothes.

'Forget school. This is a special day, and I'm sure Zhi won't be going, knowing Aaron.' Ryo thought.

She dressed into her blue, durable, waterproof, hooded jacket unzipped with a white spaghetti strap top inside and navy blue cargo pants with pockets near the knees and blue and white sneakers quickly and ran to wash up. Ryo ran down the stairs and sneakily grabbed breakfast before running out of the house before her mother caught her out of uniform, knowing that she was going to skip.

She took a bite out of her toast and munched it, putting her other hand into her pants pocket. She finished the slice and heard her stomach rumble again. That small slice of toast wasn't able to satisfy her appitite, Ryo decided to head off to the main business district, where most of the festivities were held and grab a bite to eat there. She was hoping she'd meet up with Zhi and Aaron too.

Ryo looked around and smiled slightly, she remembered her very first festival, her father had carried her around on his shoulders, telling her more of his piloting stories. Ryo was sure that her parents would come for the big event to see what the people would choose.

She looked around and spotted a pair of boys. One had greyish-brown hair, and the other had blackish-brown hair. Only two people she knew had hair like that, Zhi and Aaron. Ryo ran through the crowd, ignoring her stomach's call for food.

"Hey Zhi! Aaron!" Ryo called, catching up to them.
"Ryo,Hi." Zhi said smiling.
"You decided to skip too, eh?" Aaron asked, grinning.
"Meh, it's your big day, and I figured you guys would skip so I decided to join ya." Ryo said. She heard her stomach rumble loudly. "Uh, do you mind if we eat though? I didn't get much for breakfast." Ryo grinned.

OOC: Was that ok? I'm kinda pushed for time, and I'm hungry.

An alarm clock went off and echoed throughout the room. Kayin hit the alarm button on the clock to stop it and slid out of his bed. He rubbed his eyes and read the clock. It read: 8:30 am. Kayin stood up and checked his schedule and his calender. It was time for him to choose his mecha this day and he was hoping to be first there to see all of the mechas. Kayin pulled a drawer from beneath his bed and put on his wife beater, pants, and jacket and pulled his boots on. I think I'll skip classes today or else I won't be there in time. I'll just get the notes off of somebody later. Kayin thought.

Kayin ran down the steps and scarfed down a bowl of cereal. He finished, brushed his teeth and headed out the door. Kayin looked up at the sun and put on his biking gloves. Kayin smiled and hopped on his bike and started riding.

Kayin began to think about why he wanted to pilot a mecha. He was hoping to better protect his friends than humanly possible. He wondered why he let his sister get hurt at the festival he took her to. He was 10 and she was 7 at the time and it was his sister's first time there. A mecha malfunctioned and knocked some of the stands down and one fell on Kayin's sister. She survived but was injured and Kayin could not forgive himself.

I need to get to the business district but I have time enough to take the scenic route. I have to find something to get my sister while I'm there...

OOC: Sorry got to get 2 class!

OOC: Keji, please. Your character, if he woke up before I had Zoltin, Aaron, and Ryo in the buisness district, just don't assume. Please edit the post and have your character gradually meet us somewhere. I'm trying to have this rpg start out at a decent pace.

Zoltin found himself in a rather empty cafe, due to the time it was and the fact that the festivities would be held today.. Watching Ryo wolfe down her food rather hastily, Zoltin was amazed at her speed, obviously she had eaten lunches at school and not off campus.

"Whoa! Slow down there soldier, its not like.. Well, maybe it is." Aaron looked over at Zoltin, as did Ryo.

"What's the matter Zhi?" Letting out a small sigh, Zoltin stirred his straw through his cola and looked at the ice cubes as they slowly melted.

"I just don't want today to be the day. My mom thinks its practically the end of the world, or something else." Slumping back against the pleather cushion of the booth, Zoltin fiddled with his digital watch.

"It just feels like I'm running on borrowed time.." Aaron finally looked at Zoltin and again, playfully punched him on the arm.

"Oh for crying out loud, get a grip! Its not like you're going to die, I mean jesus, it can't be that bad." Shaking his head, Zoltin plucked his glass up and drank some of the comforting fizzy liquid. Mentally going over what the ritual was supposed to be like before he chose which mecha he would get, Zoltin noticed that the two had slid past him and were leaving the cafe.

Slapping down some money to pay for his drink, Zoltin bolted out the door and towards his friends.

"Haha..Very funny guys. So, should we head for the mall over there and just walk around until its time to go to the temple to get ready for this public display or whatever?" Ryo chuckled and started towards the mall. Zoltin and Aaron were walking behind her, as they were Zoltin looked off in the distance.

"Something on your mind Zhi?" Aaron asked with a concerned look. Nodding slightly Zoltin looked towards his best friend.

"Yeah, you know that dream I told you about a couple days ago? Well, I had it again, I've had it since I can remember, but not so frequently and not so detailed. Its really starting to scare the crap out of me, I think it may have to do with the ceremony today, or maybe I'm being paranoid." Aaron laughed and looked Zoltin straight in the face with his usual brother-like look.

"Its just your nerves, believe me. I'm scared beyond belief so we're in the same boat together. No matter what happens, I'll always be your friend."

Listening to the laughter nearby, Lana looked to see some girls who had strolled into the club that she had worked at and had noticed that they were speaking of a ceremony. It had been a few times that people spoke of an upcoming festivity, yet Lana took no notice and cared not for this "activity". She merely began to lightly pluck at her guitar. The girls then noticed her and then they had seen a group of guys who stood by. She sighed and knew them to be the club's "gangbangers". They came nearer to Lana and had seen the girls. The first guy sat on the edge of the stage and winked at one of the girls. Lana scoffed and walked away.

"Hey, ladies. The name's Danny. You know...I could play you a song, if you wanted."

This had grabbed Lana's attention as well as the girls. She looked to the girls then to Danny and had given a look of anger. He turned to the stage and merely jumped on. He walked to Lana and crossed his arms. She still looked to him with a look of anger. The girls smiled and giggled as they watched Danny and the others stand behind him. Lana looked to everyone and knew they feared her.

"Daniel Nathan Hieffer. What exactly do you think you are trying to attempt? Not another scam at getting those poor, innocent, perky girls into bed, I hope."

Danny cleared his throat and nervously replied Lana. "Uhm...*ahem*. Not entirely. I just want to play them a song. Come on." Danny then reached for Lana's guitar, which did not suit her. With a quick reflex, Lana took hold of Danny's wrist and had twisted it so that he faced the girls. "Argh. That hurts, you little....argh!"

"Well, then. You should know not to touch my possession, Daniel, dear. Have I not made myself clear when I have said, "If you ever touch my things, I will break your bones?" What part did you not comprehend in that tiny, illiterate brain of yours? Now, I will say it again, Danny, touch my guitar and any of my stuff, I will come after you. I will break your bones and I will make sure you do not touch anything again. Do you understand me?" A silence filled the air as the early customers looked on. "I said, DO YOU UNDERSTAND MY DAMN WORDS??" A nod had came from Danny. Lana growled and released him as she pushed him towards his group. "Get...out...now."

The group had lifted up their collars and jumped off of the stage. The girls smiled sheepishly and had walked away. They began to talk quietly and snickered as they looked back at the group of guys. Lana stood there with a furious look. She disliked people, especially men who had not comprehension, taste, or aristocratic meaning to their life. Lana left her home to start a life of her own, a life with no one telling her who to become, a life without failure. The life that she had started was not the type of life that she had dreamt of.

"The only thing that matters now
We offspring pay the price
They can only hope
That we can catch the light
And cast a bright wave of might
We must pay for their fight
But we do not have the right
To walk the streets at night
And at the sight of a tight aurora
We build a new euphoria
A lone child starts an aria
Showing what we're not weary of
But now we keep our eyes peeled
As we replant the fields and forests"

Chris sang as a tear ran down his cheek. The last generation, the generation that gave life to himself and took life from the planet, the generation that caused all of this chaos. They had ruined the planet, and now Chris's generation pays for the damage and tries to rebuild.

Chris finished his song, looking up from the microphone. The few people in the crowd applauded quietyly, but most people were drawn to the fight across the club. Apparently, a woman with a guitar had overpowered a man harrassing her. A humorous story, but Chris wasn't interested. He fell from the stage, apathetically. Life was such a waste nowadays, he didn't even put effort into walking. Slumping off, Chris exited the club, walking in no particular direction.

His uncle was on the mind. He felt horrible for just abandoning him, especially after all he had done for Chris. His uncle wasn't really desperate for the help, but Chris didn't even get a chance to say goodbye. It was over though, no returning now. His mecha, hidden in an abandoned warehouse, was rarely used, so that he wouldn't cause suspicion. There were instances, however, when Chris picked the wrong fight and needed it to get out of a tough situation.

It was about 8:45, and Chris hadn't had any sleep. Walking down the street, cars passing by honked their horns for him being in the way. It was only a matter of time until he crossed the wrong person and was run over.

Seeing a crowd across the park, Chris decided to see what the festivities were. Today had been a bore as it is, so any excitement was welcome.

Full stop. Time to clear things up.

Chris isn't usually so apathetic and depressed. It's just that, lately, his mother's death was overwhelming him. Having kept it all pent up inside, it finally came out about a week ago and he's been a mess ever since. Chris is usually pretty laidback, but ready for action and elegant in his decisions. He never made a move without thinking it over, playing life like a game of chess. Weighing his options, analyzing each path, Chris rarely made the wrong choice. However, when under pressure, he can react quickly, but in a rash way.

Chris was halfway through the park, the morning dew still covering the grass. He circled the pond, kicking dirt around to scare the geese and ducks. He got a kick out of that. That grass needed to be cut, however. "It's a damn jungle in here, doesn't anyone care for their landscaping anymore," he groaned. He kept walking, but stepped in a puddle of mud, nearly losing his shoe. "Sonuvabitch," he reacted, jerking his leg.

He finally exited the park, seeing the crowd. "Juveniles," he scoffed, being only 17 himself. He was slightly anxious to see what all the fuss was about, but he didn't expect it to be such an extraordinary ordeal.

Jing Li was in her house, but she planned to not stay for long. She wanted to go out and see if she could bring back the past she had, to see if it was all really just locked away. She was sitting on the couch, listening.

Her father and mother were talking about today and past festivities, about mechas and pilots. The conversation then slipped to a new one. "Jing Li, you'll soon be seventeen," said her father. He walked over to her with a tiny box in his hand. She looked at him, then gently took it.

She opened it to reveal a tiny gold necklace, with a locket. Imprinted on the heart, was a tiny red rose. "Open it," said her mother, and she did so. Jing Li then saw a picture of a young girl with pigtails and bows, smiling as if there were no tomorrow. "That's you." stated her dad, his eyes shimmering with happiness.Jing Li stared at it, then gave a weak smile, so she wouldn't displease them.

"How...did I get into a coma?" she asked her parents. They looked at each other, then back at her. "We don't know," whispered her mom, trying to comfort her. "We found you unconcious." They were all silent for what felt like eternity, then Jing Li headed for the door.

"I want to take a look around town by myself," she said, almost insisting. School wouldn't be a problem, anyway.

Jing Li dressed into white bell bottoms, a low-cut gray shirt, a hooded pale blue sweater-vest, black shoes...and the necklace. Her parents didn't want to argue about her leaving, so they gave her a little money, and explained to her where everything was.

"Don't forget, today is the big ceremony!" her mother called after her.She spoke as if the coma were only a dream, and never happened. That was the way Jing Li wished as well.

"Ceremony?" Jing Li thought to herself. She kept it in thought though, deciding to go to the main business district that she was told about. As she walked, she soon was passing between crowds, listening to their voices of some laughter. She felt a small amount of determination as she wandered about. And she could not help, but slightly smile herself.

Fayt opened his eyes and looked around his room which seemed fuzzy and out of focus. After blinking a few times everything began to come into focus. Sitting up Fayt yawned and rubbed his eyes. He then glanced over at the clock and jumped out of bed.

"Ahh I overslept today of all days" Fayt frantically thought digging through his closet and selecting a dark blue pair of jeans.

Fate ran to his bathroom and grabbed his toothbrush and started brushing vigorously. After a rinse of mouth wash he was back in his room pulling on a white shirt. He ran into the kitchen and looked at a note on the fridge.

"Fayt, we went to go make some preparations. You should know what to do but we should be back by the time of the ceremony just in case. We hope everything goes smoothly for you, good luck. Mom & Dad"

Fayt sighed deeply as he crumpled up the piece of paper and threw it away. He slowly walked over to a cupboard opened it grabbed a bagel and shut it. He the proceded to walk to the opposite corner of the Kitchen. He tore the bagel into two almost equal halves and stuck them in the toaster.

"Why do I have to do this? My entire life has been a lie, I should just end this now" Fayt thought staring at the knife rack about an arms reach away.

He was snapped back to reality when the bagel popped up from the toaster. He grabbed each half and slid them down the counter towards the fridge. After putting alittle cream cheese on the bagel he headed for the door grabbing his denim jacket off the coat rack.

"I don't feel like going to school anymore, I think I'll go look at the Mecha's maybe I'll see Aaron or Zhi or anyone worth while" He thought taking a bite out of a bagel half and walking toward the ceremony grounds.

The mall was a regular two-story building, simple exterior with bright coloring to make it stand out and make it look like a happy place. Zoltin glanced over towards Aaron and noticed that he seemed to be lost in thought and didn't seem on the same planet for the time-being. The group had neared the northeren entrance, which had the food court in it.

"I thought we just ate!?" Zoltin said a little exasperated at the thought of more food. Ryo laughed and Aaron was silent.

"We just happened to be going in this way Zhi." Ryo said with some playfullness in her voice. She was obviously having fun, Zoltin on the other hand was still agonizing over his dream and what this ceremony may hold in store for the group.

Pulling the glass door open, Zoltin could feel the cool air from the building's large air conditioning systems, already it was nearing the end of the school year and people were using air conditioning so soon. The food court smelled of a variety of foods. A chicken smell wafted over from the chinese place, a spicy smell drifted out from the cajun place, and a mix of other foods cascaded down on the group like a wave from all the other places.

"Well, where should we head first guys??" Zoltin asked as he looked over at Ryo, but something was wrong. Aaron was gone from the group.

"Where the hell did Aaron go!?" Ryo looked to her left and found him gone, she was totally surprised by the act.

"Maybe he went to the bathroom or something.." Nodding, Zoltin sat down at a table and waited, Ryo on the other hand had a rather impatient look.

"You know, you two aren't joined at the hip. I don't think he'll mind if we go to a couple of stores alone.."

"You probably are right, but still, I'd rather wait on him."

"Grrrr... You're impossible, both of you." With that she sat down with an offended look.

The two had waited for maybe ten minutes before Zoltin started showing signs of anxiety.

"Oh for crying out loud, I doubt he's been in there THIS long!!" Zoltin exclaimed suddenly, the outburst had caught Ryo off guard from her drink that she'd gotten.

"Well then go in and check, you're the one with the same tools as him, just go in there. YEESH!" With that she went back to staring into space. Zoltin muttered a few curse words as he entered the men's restroom. As he glanced around he saw that the mirror had been punched and there was fresh blood on the floor, something bad obviously had happened.

"Aaron?! Aaron?! Are you in here??" Zoltin's voice was laced with both concern and panic. As he walked along the stalls he was silently praying that Aaron was okay, though he knew that was easy. Aaron was a tough person, and he proved it more than once when some jerks were hassaling Zoltin his freshman year in high school. Still panicy, Zoltin saw the first to last stall closed.

"Hey, Aaron! Are you about finished cause Ryo and I are heading towards the arcade, I think she's eyeing that Dance Dance Revolution game."

"Yeah..I'll meet you guys there." With that Zoltin exited the restroom and motioned that he and Ryo could go.

"Good, now lets go play DDR!!" Letting out a little chuckle Zoltin nodded and the duo headed towards the arcade.

Aaron took several deep breaths and shakily stood up. He wiped the corners of his mouth, and went to take a handful of water to rinse his mouth out when he noticed his right hand. He ran it under the water until the blood stopped flowing and glass had disappeared. He had used the pain in his hand to supress the mantal assault of the voice in his head. Aaron washed his mouth and face and stared into the fractured mirror.

Aaron exited the restroom and entered the drugstore across the way. He bought a roll of gauze and some antibiotics. He then entered the ajacent Old Navy and nearly drained his wallet buying a pair of jeans, a buttondown shirt and a white and gray t-shirt to go under it. "Damn bastard."

Lana sighed as she looked around and headed out, placing her guitar in a safe lock. She turned out the doors and headed along the streets towards a road that edged away from the main streets. It lead to a series of abandoned storage houses, which was where Seiryuu, her mecha, was stored.

Coming up to a storage house of a grayish color with the number 7 in fading silver, Lana looked around carefully before opening the doors to the entrance. All was clear and Lana creaked open the door slightly and entered. With a deep breath of relief, Lana looked to her mecha. Although he was a mecha, he seemed to have a mind of his own and work at his own ways, yet only obeying Lana.

"What a relief. I am sure as hell glad to tear myself away from that place. How are you, Seiryuu?"

The large gleaming oceanic blue mecha turned his head down towards Lana. "I ache to see fly against the currents of the wind. As the blushing sun smiles at my presence as I glide through the waters like a swan glides through the clouds."

"As I do. As I do, Seiryuu. But, you know that if I bring you out to the public, I may cause mayhem and chaos and the people here may know my parents. And if they do know....well...you already can predict what should happen next. Not only will I become the subject of pain, you will, as well. Do not worry, Ryuu, you will see the sunlight once more. You shall make the envious moon hide away behind your marvelous light and the stars shall become dim and you shall be the only light that the world can see."

With that Seiryuu looked back to the window that brought a bit of light. Lana smiled, yet her heart ached as well. She longed to become one with Seiryuu once more. Her mind needed release from the world and she needed a place to belong so that she may know where she stands.

Jing Li walked around the area, her hands shoved into the pockets of her sweater-vest, the wind softly blowing. She was looking around the area, trying to get a good look at everything around her, hoping to remember the places- but nothing was recalled. Everything she looked at seemed new and unfamiliar. She soon grew bored of just looking around, so she glanced at places to go.

"I could also use a drink," she thought to herself, a little thirsty. She came across the mall, from what her parents had given her directions to. She viewed the area from a distance away, checking out it's appearance.

"Guess I'll go in here," she mumbled softly, and approached the entrance gradually. "They'll most likely have soda, or something..."

Upon entering the food court, she directed herself to buy a soda, as planned. Not knowing what to do though, she timidly sat in a table by the corner, watching a few others eat what they had bought, chatting away. The voices crammed together as one as they echoed in the mall, and Jing Li listened as she sipped her soda quietly. She eyed every detail in everything, but avoided looking at people who could see her.

Her soda lasted shorter than she expected, so she threw the empty cup away. Not seeing any reason to be in the food court anymore, she shyly kept pacing into the mall. "I bet I used to be a loud person, considering the picture in my locket," Jing Li thought. "But I guess getting to know myself from the start can be fun, too."

Looking down at the floor while walking, in a daze, she then heard the sounds of beeping and lasers- the arcade. She checked her pocket. "I still have a little left, so I guess it wouldn't hurt to play one or two..." she thought, and nodded to herself. She walked in, looking at what to play, then saw three others standing around a game- a girl, and the two boys she saw earlier while coming from the hospital. Smiling to herself as she saw all the games, she entered in further. A big one called Dance Dance Revolution was right in front of her.

"Dance Dance Revolution?" she questioned, more to no one than herself. She looked at it, and squinted, not sure of it. "Maybe....I guess you jump on the squares...hm. I wonder if I liked this game..."

Zoltin smirked a little before he decided to go back and goof around. He headed back towards the DDR game, but decided not too when his eyes caught hold of one of those shooter sims and a few other games, one of them being a mecha sim.

"Well, I guess it'd be good practice." He said to no one as he slid into the game, he dropped his tokens in and waited as the game started up. The sim was simple, very basic mechas, not at all advanced like the one he would be using. Once the game had ended, Zoltin climbed out and found both Aaron and Ryo, who were both nursing either a victory or a defeat, either way they looked ready to go somewhere else.

"Hey guys how about...Holy crap!!" Zoltin hadn't been paying attention to the clock or his watch and it already read 1:30 and the whole ceremony and crap was supposed to start in an hour!! Quickly grabbing both Aaron and Ryo by the arms he took off at a full run out of the mall towards the nearest parked taxi, which was right in front of them. Pracitcally throwing his two friends in, Zoltin climbed in last and shut the door and with a frantic yell shoouted.

"To the temple and step on it!!" The taxi driver knew full well that the kid wasn't kidding and gunned the taxi. Slumping back against the seat, Zoltin sighed and looked at his friends.

"Welll, this was fun."

"Yeah, we'll just have to cut school again, heheh." Ryo said jokingly as she stared out the window, Aaron just seemed to be massaging his hands and looking in the direction of the temple.

The temple was a large building with an oriental design, of course it would help by saying that the original person who ran the temple was from Japan. It wasn't completly Japanese styled, there were some European cathedral touches to the grounds such as a few large stone water fountains, some plants etc. Fortunately, the two cultural architectures seemed to meld easily and it didn't look horrible like some people thought it would.

As the taxi came to a stop in front of the temple, all three of the passengers hurled the money needed to pay for the ride at the driver and bolted out of the car. Zoltin was leading the group by a ways and beat them to the door just as the head priest was coming out.

"Its about damn time you two got here, and Ryo. What are you doing, oh, duh!" The priest said as he smacked his bald forehead. The head priest was tall, thin, and maybe in his fifties but he looked like he was in his thirties simply because he didn't seem to age at all.

"Sorry, we were just playing around instead of wasting our time at school today." The priest nodded and motioned for them to follow him inside. Zoltin was still in awe at the major decor melding of both the japan and eruopean styles. There were many gothic statues of saints etc with an oriental flare of gold coloring or something else that made them unique and interesting in their own sense. But the decor was not what the group was here for.

"Zoltin and Aaron, as you two know, this is your big day. I don't know why the city is going to have such major festivities, in my opinion its stupid. Anyways, you'll be taken to the central district of the town, where the Preludes will be displayed and Zoltin you'll choose first, and then Aaron will get the short end of the stick. I'm sorry my lad, but its the crappy ritual, believe me the other alternative is not plesant." Aaron looked a little downcast as did Zoltin, and the priest knew that this would happen, their friendship may fall apart before Zoltin chooses, he couldn't honestly tell. Walking over towards a large wooden chest, he found two ceremonial robes, both were pure white with an exaggerated droop on the cuffs of the sleeves.

"Well, here's what you'll wear, I suggest you put them on now and get ready cause this stupid thing will be starting in about ten minutes or so."

Having sat there for nearly half an hour, Chris decided that this day would be wasted if he didn't leave. He wasn't much for social interaction with people he considered lower than himself, which is pretty much anyone that's not a singer.

He decided to go around the park, rather than braving the horrendous terrain once more. Chris wasn't much for tedious problems. He'd rather take the long route than catch another shoe in the mud. He had nothing better to do, as it is, so he would just explore the streets on the way back to the warehouse where his mecha was stored. His mecha, Euphoria, never said much, but whenever he responded, it was elegant, just like Chris' former self.

When Chris thought of his mecha, it reminded him of his past days, the days when he was in his prime. And when he thought of that, it led him to his mother. It seemed as though he would never recover from her death. He was nearing the warehouse and ran into a sprint down the street. He was in the district where the old warehouses were, and he began to lose his stamina, so he slowed down to a walk.

A hum came from Chris' mouth, as he walked down the street. He was trying desperately to get his mother off of his mind, so he recited some songs from memory. A seperate hum could be heard elsewhere though, and it startled Chris. The sound resonated from a warehouse and he crept closer. The vibrations of the metallic casing on the structure felt eerie as he pressed up against it to figure out what was going on. ". . .like a swan glides through the clouds," he heard. It was a deep voice, a mechanical voice.

Chris' eyes opened wide. Obviously, the voice was that of a mecha's. Distantly, he heard a soft voice, a female's voice, responding to the mecha. "Its owner. Another singer?" Chris wondered. "But maybe it's an instrumentalist," he thought. If it were, and she was aware of his presence, he would surely be killed, as his mecha was in another area. "I'd better leave," he said to himself, quietly.

"What was that, Ryuu?" the famale's voice said, as she looked over at the enormous sliding door of the warehouse. Hearing this, Chris darted out of sight.

The rattling of the door sliding into the roof shook the ground, and the female stepped outside. Only around the corner, Chris sat motionless, trying not to make a sound.

After looking around the area, she went back inside, but left the door open so that she could catch any intruders.

Chris waited for the door to rattle back down, and he wouldn't leave until then. In for a long wait, he laid against a metallic trash bin. He'd just have to tough it out.

Lieutenant Gene Gale found himself staring through a pair of black military binoculars at a large pair of golden gates and pale white building where the ceremony to select the Singer's of the next generation was to take place. As Gene slowly lowered the binoculars to his side he began to recall what the ceremony had been like; it had been a full four years since he had partaken in the singer's ritual but Gene could still vivedly remember the events of that particular day. "Memories never die" whispered Gene to himself...

[end]
------------------------------------------------------
Eh I don't have much time to post but basically Gene is a relatively new singer working for the SINGER organization. Despite the fact he is a new member to SINGER Gene has already started to make a name for himself as one of SINGER's top guns and ace pilots. Gene was sent by his superiors at SINGER to watch over the festivities and the singer's ritual to protect the inhabitants and the mechs from any theifs, instrumentalists, assassins, etc.

Seiryuu quickly armed himself with his rapier, which was safely in hand with the tip pointing towards the ground. Lana looked to Seiryuu once more and then to the door. She believed that the person was still outside. Seiryuu looked to the door as well.

"Asteapta aici. (Wait here.)"

Lana walked towards the door and looked out. She still believed that someone had heard the voice of Seiryuu's and she believed that someone could be a spy or even a Singer. She clenched her fists and walked further out. She looked in every direction. Lana stood there and smirked. She decided to try to trick this someone into uncovering himself from his place.

"I know you are out here. Do not fear me, I am unarmed and I do not fight unless provoked or slandering words are thrown about my morals." Lana turned 360 degrees, yet slowly. Lana then felt as if someone was listening to her and she began to turn slowly towards where a shadow suddenly left its place. She tilted her head a bit and focused her gaze upon the shadow's last place.

Jing Li shrugged at the DDR, and exchanged money for tokens, not seeing any reason to not try it out. She popped the tokens in, and the game started up. After one try, she had the hang of it, and began to laugh at how much fun she was really having. "Left, up, up, down, left and right, left and right..."

She kept playing it on and on, then soon grew short of breath, and hopped off. A small boy was looking up at her. Shy, even to smaller ones, she just smiled and had begun to walk off, with him still standing there.

"You're very good at that game," he said, stopping Jing Li from leaving him.

She turned around and thanked him, although she thought otherwise about how well she played. The boy held out his hand. "Can I have some tokens to try it out?" She knew she would feel bad as to say no to him, so she searched in her pocket and handed him some tokens.

"There you go," said Jing Li, and the boy thanked her. She then realized that she had given him her last tokens, and all her money was spent. But as she looked at the boy, he was happy as he started DDR, so Jing Li just left the arcade.

She felt as if she were supposed to be doing something, but she pushed it aside and browsed through all the stores in the mall. She remained alone, looking at different clothes, keeping some in thought, so she could buy them when she had more money. Soon, she finally remembered what her mom had said to her.

"Don't forget, today is the big ceremony!" Jing Li's eyes widened a bit, and she scurried out the mall and back outside.

"I don't know where this ceremony is, so I'll go home first. At least I can get directions from my parents." As she walked home, she took her time to observe all that was then happening, and it felt like everyone was rushing past her.

Ryo stood outside of the rooms that the two boys were changing in.

"You guys had better hurry it up a little, the ceremony starts in less than 5 mintues!" Ryo called to them.

Ryo never had to go through this ceremony because she decided to continue with her father's mecha. But she did have a ceremony to announce to everyone that she was a pilot and was representing Nocturne. She had to dress up in the robes too, even though it wasn't a choosing.

Ryo heard a rustling and the boys stumbled out of their rooms. Ryo looked at them and giggled. They had really rushed trying to put the robes on. Most of it was lopsided or at the back when it should be at the front. Ryo smiled, remembering how hard it was to put on the robes.

"Let me help you guys." Ryo said walking over to them.

Ryo straightened and twisted and flipped the clothing of each of them until it looked right. Ryo put a finger to her lip, something was missing. She got it. She ran into both of the rooms they were changing in and came out with a golden, shiny material that was like a scarf.

"Here, you need these." Ryo said looping one of them over each of their necks.

"Done!" Ryo said smiling, "Here, take a look, isn't it fashionable?" she said, pushing them in front of a mirror. They knew she was joking about the fashionable thing.

"Anyway guys, you'd better get out there, the ceremony should be starting any second now. Good luck, choose wisely, I'll be watching." Ryo said finally.

She watched the two boys walk out together, sometimes stumbling on the long robes that they wore. Ryo sighed and walked out as well, she'd get a good seat, no problems there.

Ryo looked above her and saw the eaves of the roof. Ryo jumped and caught on to it before swinging her body up and behind to land on the roof quietly. She scampered quickly across the roof and jumped to another roof until she was at the house right next to the stage. She looked for a space on the ground and flipped off the roof to land in a spot that was right in front of the stage where the two nervous boys stood. Ryo grinned and gave them the thumbs up, telling them that everything would be fine.

OOC: Not too good, I know. Sorry, can't think.

Zoltin stood on the stage with sheer terror in his heart, he knew that this was it, the final moment. After today he would be totally different. The group was cheering and confetti mixed with flower petals were being thrown happily in honor of this glorious ceremony. As the euphoria seemed to subside for a brief time, the priest took this time and strode forward.

"We have gathered here on this great day for Zoltin's choosing! Today Zoltin will choose wether he will become the Prelude to our Harmony or the Prelude to our very Destruction, either way he must choose, but at the cost of Aaron becoming his opposite. Now, bring forth the Preludes!!" With that, the backdrop was pulled away to reveal two immense mechas, which were both kneeling like knights before royalty.

"Zoltin, to your right is the Prelude to Destruction and to your left is the Prelude to Harmony. Choose which one wisely." Zoltin wrung his hands tightly together as he was totally numb in his whole body. The crowd itself seemed to be holding its breath as Zoltin stared at the mechs. Prelude to Harmony looked like some sort of angel with its wings on its head, and Prelude to Destruction looked like some demon from somewhere.

As Zoltin anguished over what he should do, he suddenly heard an explosion and turned to see a pillar of smoke from the other side of the city. Suddenly, a large mecha shot out of the smoke and almost in the blink of an eye it was there firing on the buildings surrounding the ceremonial area. People screamed in horror and ran in fear, some were crushed and killed by the falling rubble. Zoltin could not believe the atrosity unfolding before him, this elegant and yet sinister mech was in fact an Instrumentalist!!

"****!! I don't need this today!!" With that Zoltin bolted to the Prelude to Harmony.

"If anything, I'm borrowing this for temporary us..Aaron!! What the hell are you doing!? Get away, I haven't chosen yet!!" Just then, Aaron looked towards Zoltin, and unholstered a pistol and fired a shot in his direction. The bullet bit deep into Zoltin's left shoulder blade. Screaming and dropping to his knees with his right hand covering the now reddened spot, Zoltin looked at the person he considered to be like a brother to him, except something was wrong now, something horribly wrong, it was like some sort of inner demon had just taken control of Aaron.

"Aaron..Why??" Zoltin whimpered, just then Aaron smirked rather cruelly and fired into the crowd striking a boy that attended their school, directly in his throat and killing him on sight, sadly Zoltin didn't know his name and he never would now. Now fully angry, Zoltin leapt to his feet and pressed his hand to the cockpit area of the mech. Like falling through a hologram, Zoltin landed in a large crystaline seat, his shoulder still screaming in pain though. In a flash a screen was displayed in front of him.

"Hmm.. I wonder what I should..Holy ****!" Zoltin yelled as his hand had just seemingly gone through the screen, except instead of it being his hand, it was Prelude's hand that he saw, this was an advanced control of the mech, very impressive though. Pressing lightly on two pedals, the Prelude stood up and he looked towards the Instrumentalist mech, then at the Prelude to Destruction, it seemed hopless, he was outnumbered two to one, if only someone could help him.

As soon as Ryo saw the Instrumentalist arrive and start destroying buildings Ryo cursed angrily.

"****! Why today?!" she yelled as she made for a rooftop.

She saw Zhi going to the Prelude of Harmony, then she saw Aaron shoot him in the shoulder. Ryo shook her head, at the end of today, there would be much grief and sorrow. Ryo didn't have time to hang around, she ran quickly over the rooftops and was careful not to get too close to the Instrumentalist. She had to help Zhi. He was out numbered and had a pained shoulder.

Ryo ran to her house and went into the hangar. Nocturne stood above her. Ryo started to climb the large mecha and jumped into the cockpit area.

"Come on Nocturne, we got business to take care of." Ryo said piloting Nocturne out of the hangar and towards the central part of the town where the Instrumentalist was reaking havock.

Nocturne ran as Ryo piloted, she wouldn't let the enemy mecha destroy their town.

Ryo arrived and saw that the Instrumentalist had already taken out a lot of buildings and Zhi was trying to help but he was still new to piloting.

"Zhi! It's me. I'm here to help." Ryo told him through the comlink in the cockpits.
"Ryo? You need to stop the Instrumentalist!" Zhi told her.
"What about Aaron? What happened to him?" Ryo asked as she headed for the Instrumentalist.
"I don't know...Something's happened to him." Zhi said sadly.

Ryo got Nocturne's sword out and sliced at the enemy. He stopped and looked at her, she could tell he was angry. Ryo held her sword at ready, she would fight, and she would win.

Ryo thrust forward with the sword and cut into some of the upper torso armour.

"Why won't you fight?" Ryo yelled.
"You want me to fight? Fine." he replied and slashed at her violently with his sword.

Ryo jumped back and dodged his blows. He was fast and deadly because he was aiming for the head and upper torso part of Nocturne. When she saw an opening, she brought up her sword and blocked his. They pushed against each other.

"Give up girly." he laughed.
"GIRLY?! You did not just call me Girly. You are soooo dead now!!!" Ryo said angrily, slashing at him, he parried some of the blows and soon it was attack and dodge.

Ryo took a second to look at Zhi and Aaron in their new mechas. They were fumbling slightly, Ryo knew she had to help hi, but she was busy.

During the time she looked away, the Instrumentalist saw the opening and thrust into the stomach of Nocturne. Ryo groaned in pain as it dug into the armour. She reached out a hand and gripped the sword and pulled it free from the wounded area.

"Looks like you're not so tough after all." he smirked evilly.

OOC: Sorry I did that wrong. I don't know how you want us to pilot the mechas. Like whether we feel the pain or if it's just another dent in the armour.

Something disturbed Lana as she awoke to the morning sun, looking to see that she was brought back into the storage house. Groaning, she stood and looked into the sun, whincing as she did. Seiryuu stood behind her. Something disturbed him as well.

"There is trouble, it seems. There are now 3 instrumentalists and 2 Singers where the ceremony takes place."

"It is not our fight, Ryuu. We will not go and aid those in need of no help. Let them fight with their mechas for a while, let them taste the adrenaline that rushes through their body. We shall go at another time."

Seiryuu was now looming behind Lana as he stood. "But, Lady, I believe we should go to them, in case they are truly in trouble."

"Acesta este nu our meci! Noi voinţă a voi nu energie! (It is not our fight! We will not go!)" Lana now turned back to Seiryuu and was furious that he would disobey her. She then sighed and knew that all he wanted was to see the open sky. "Fine. We shall go."

Seiryuu kneeled down and Lana jumped from his knee and climbed till she got to the head and entered. She sat in the black seat and sighed as she looked around at the familiar surroundings. She then reached over and grabbed the helmet and two gloves that were attached with wires. She then flicked on a few switches, pressed a few buttons, and then lifted the top of the starter button and sighed once more. She closed her eyes and punched the button. Everything was ready and she was ready to go.
