"One damn Instrumentalist and the entire city is in a friggen frenzy" muttered Gene as he pushed, shoved, and punched his way through the downtown city streets where people had broken into a hysteric craze and were looting and plundering as they pleased. After what seemed like an eternity Gene eventually reached his destination and found himself in front of the old abandoned shipping yards. Without a moment to spare Gene quickly lifted himself up and over the rusty barbed wire fence surrounding the decaying complex and broke into a light jog towards a large gray warehouse with a barely visible large number eleven painted in yellow on its side.

Meanwhile...

Ryo let out another cry of pain as Nocturne was assaulted with an array of quick thrusts and jabs from her Instrumentalist attacker's sword. Ryo tried to parry her enemies blows but it soon became obvious to her that the blow she had received before had done more than just dent her armor it had damaged the right "hip flexor" in her mecha thus her movements were gradually slowing down as her mech's right leg was requiring more and more power to move through its full range of motion. "This isn't going to do" thought Ryo to herself she knew that she was going to need to stop trying to defend herself and land an attack somehow or it was all over. Ryo began to run through a list of possible strategies she could use to get her out of the predicament she was in but she soon found her mini planning session cut short as the Instrumentalist attacked her again this time getting the best of her distraught mind by managing to kick out Nocturne's legs from underneath it and knocking it to the ground so that it landed flat on its back.

"That's it." Gene was still standing outside of the large gray warehouse he had spotted before he slammed his hand on a control panel on the side of the large warehouse door and let out a sigh of disgust. He had forgot his password... he had forgot his damn password. "Stupid pieces of cr@p looks like I?ll have to do this the old fashioned way..." Gene pulled out a small switch blade from his back pocket and after extending the blade to its full length thrust it right into the center of the small electrical device, there was a quick whiz of electrical circuits snapping in half but within moments the door leading to the contents of the warehouse began to retract upwards. "Now where were we..."

"A girl like you should have known you couldn't beat me" Ryo listened to the man in disgust, she wasn't about to give up and let herself be pushed around but as the Instrumentalist standing above her kicked her lifeless Nocturne across the ground and a sharp aching pain shot through her back she began to think otherwise...

"It?s been a long time baby?" said Gene as he walked towards a large white and red mecha kneeling on the ground (see sign up thread for description and picture of mech). Gene smiled to himself at a wide grin began to spread across his face, he knew that he was alone and that his mech could not hear him but every now and then he enjoyed talking to his mech as it gave him something to do in the midst of battle when he was bored of tearing his enemies to pieces... Gene walked over to a small platform over to the side of the warehouse that served as a lift, and punched a key on a control panel next to him. The platform underneath him immediately began to rise and took him to a raised catwalk that would have been level with the torso of the mech if it was standing. Gene quickly walked across the catwalk and within moments came to the center of it.

"Voice recognition. Gene Gale. Symphony initiate battle mode, Phase 1."

With the words spoken by Gene the Symphony's chest armor moved to the side and a narrow platform extended from the opening forming a bridge from the catwalk to the Symphony's cockpit. Upon entering the cockpit the bridge to the catwalk immediately retracted into the Symphony and the chest armor plates from before returned to their original positions. Gene found himself sitting in darkness for a few seconds before the ever so familiar sound of the hum of the Symphony's power core warming up to 100% became apparent.

All Systems Go. Weapons armed. Thrusters ready. came the voice of a mechanical computer within the Symphony. "All right then, shall we? Symphony, initiate Immersion Process!" and with that Gene instantly felt his insides go numb as he was consumed by a white light and within moments he and the mech from before were no more... they were now one and the same. They were Symphony.

Zoltin struggled to remain upright he was still having trouble comprehending what was happening... he and the Prelude to Harmony had become one? Or was this just some horrible dream? Zoltin looked in the distance and could see the Instrumentalist mecha from before kicking the Nocturne around as if it was a mere toy. But what was he supposed to do? what could he do? Zoltin gazed around and wondered where all the Singers could be in a time of need such as this, he searched around but soon became fixated on the figure of his friend Aaron he seemed so different as if he was in a trance like state... then the realization of what was happening dawned upon Zhi... Aaron was walking towards the Prelude of Destruction...

Ryo found herself lying in a pool of her own blood, she thought she could here the taunting of the unknown Instrumentalist and prepared for the worst as her attacker brought his sword up and over his head and prepared to thrust it downwards straight and the now motionless body of the Nocturne.

"Well little girl it was fun" came the deep dark voice of her assailant. Ryo closed her eyes and finally gave in to exhaustion she had been experiencing, she no longer felt like she could win the fight; her pride had been crushed, her beloved mecha had been crushed, and now she was about to be crushed.

"There! I found you!"

"What?!!"

Panic? Fear? Did Ryo just hear some of both in her attacker's voice? Ryo opened her eyes just in time to see the head of her attacker's mech blasted from its shoulders by a pair of large white beams of light.

"Wooh... Looks like I don't know my own strength..."

Ryo titled her head to her side and through the eyes of Nocturne, no through her own eyes she thought to herself, she could see the now lifeless body of her attacker's mech laying beside her.

"Wh... Who are you?" whispered Ryo half to herself and half to her new found savior...

"They call me Volt Edge."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------*Things to remember* Gene's alias is "Volt Edge"
Fayte is still in the same area as Zoltin and Aaron whoever posts next should not forget to include him in what occurs as the only reason why I didn't is because I don't want to dictate this entire story -_+.

Also in the sign-up thread we should discuss how the mechs are going to function =O... I take it that the pain/damage the mech takes the pilots take as well but I just think this should be a group decision rather than a select few individuals.

On a side note if something doesn't make please to tell me because I wrote this all in two different sittings.

Hours earlier, Chris was cowering on the side of a storage facility, being tracked by an instrumentalist. Alerted, she crept around the corner and he disappeared behind a fence. "Coward," she scoffed, walking back to her mech. Chris was now safe, he assumed, running back toward his mecha, Jim. As it was about noon, he had to be careful so that he wasn't spotted. Across the street, the warehouse was placed, a small hole in the rusty, metallic door. He looked around the corner. Obviously, as the area was abandoned, noone was there. Still, he bolted across the road, diving through the hole. Maybe it was his sense of adventure that drove him to do it, but he cut his side. Hopefully, he wouldn't get tetnis from the rust on the metal.

And there kneeled Euphoria. The mecha in which Chris found freedom. Freedom from his family life, freedom from his troubles. The structure was marvelous. Pale green and orange, slender with an inspiring hull (check attatchment). Chris made a good choice when he decided to steal this one. Whatever happened to the pilot, he might never know, but Chris had to get away. Walking past, he laughed at the name on the side of it. The old name, Insidious, had been slightly painted over to be replaced with Euphoria. Chris had a sense of humor about these things.

He stood next to the foot of Euphoria and typed a code into a panel blended in with the armor. A rope with a handle at the end dropped down to Chris' position and the cockpit opened. Chris rode up, falling in off of the rope. The side doors closed, followed by the front, closing upwards.

Chris' mecha, unlike most, had no seat, except for the passenger. A circular pattern formed on the ceiling. One by one, each part of the patter retracted, a beam of light coming from the hole. Telepathically, Chris would control his mecha, in a way similar to virtual reality. These types of mechas weren't uncommon, but most people preferred control panels. "It feels great to be here again. I haven't been able to pilot a mecha on Eart for a while now," Chris grinned. A circle of holographic screens appeared around him, showing him what was happening around him. Chris took off through a hole in the ceiling. With the warehouse being so revealing, it's amazing that the government hadn't confiscated his mecha, seeing as it was stolen.

Chris took off through the sky, looking for the battle. Although he wasn't exactly sure what was going on, he knew the sound of a mecha battle, as everyone did, and saw a window of opportunity.

Looking around with excitement on his face, Chris saw a mecha near the temple. "Oh, so today's the day when the chosen ones decide which Prelude they'll take," he thought. "But why in hell are they fighting," he said aloud. As he spoke, an instrumentalist appeared on the screen. "Ah, damn sourpusses are at it again."

He sped up towards the direction of the battle, but another mecha appeared in front of him, hindering his advancement. "An Instrumentalist?"

OOC: Okay, I don't think that you need to feel the damage that your mech takes. That is unless you want to feel the pain, in that case go ahead I'm not stopping you. Just be warned, Prelude to Harmony and Prelude to Destruction do not merge that way with their pilots. Also, I seem to see major inconsistencies in a few of the previous posts, can you guys please read everyone's posts thouroughly? Sorry if I seem rude or something its just that the posts all look out of order and jumbled.

Also, Hittokiri, please edit your post. I doubt Ryoko's character would be THAT carless to wind up in a pool of her own blood, I'm not trying to single you out, just please eidt that.

Zoltin thrusted Harmony backwards as the mysterious mech jumped between him and Aaron. It was a friend of thier's from school and he revealed himself as an Instrumentalist, but Aaron obviously didn't care and he simply grabbed the boy's mech by the throat area and looked him dead in the face.

"If you ever interrupt my battles ever again, I'll kill you before you can explain yourself. GOT IT!?" With that he threw the mech at least fifty feet away, the mech landed in the side of an adjacent building.

"Hahaha!! Boy this feels good, wouldn't you agree Zhi!?" A tear fell onto Zoltin's left hand, which also had a small stream of blood trickling down towards his fingernails.

"Aaron, I don't want to..."

"I am no longer Aaron, he's dead. He died when you chose that wretched machine, I am Hashim!!" With that he rockted forward and slammed into Harmony, the force was strong enough that Harmony was thrown into an adjacent building. The force was so hard that once he had made contact, Zoltin couldn't move Harmony and he was left in disbelief as Aaron commanded the other Instrumentalist mechs to leave.

"Aaron...Why?? Why did you do this??"

"What the **** is going on? Damn!" exclaimed Jing Li as she turned around to see the explanation of why there were so many horrendous screams. She was close to her home, watching people race off in every which way. She also saw the several mechas, some fighting each other in combat. "Thought this was a fricken peaceful town..." Jing Li impulsively ran home, and clobbered the front door open. "Mom! Dad!" she shouted, but no one was home. But she felt that she couldn't hang around for them, she wanted to help however she could.

She sprinted to the back of the house, and then opened the backside door. The rest of the way sloped down a mount, and though she hadn't been down that way before, she darted down the hill, and slowed to a silver, gold-trimmed mecha. Taped on the right leg read a note. "To our seventeen year-old. Your present that we've held for nearly two years- your mother and father." Jing Li shook her head swiftly, and ripped it off the leg. She climbed to the top, and into the back of the head, with the entrance closing behind her. Unexpectedly, she held her head with her hands, to try and alleviate the throbbing headache. As she closed her eyes, she saw someone, examining all the controls and supports. ?I wanna be a Singer, and help all that?s good!? said the small child, enthusiastically.

Jing Li opened her eyes again. "Who? Was that me...?" She ran to the middle, and tossed off her vest. She didn?t know what she was she was doing, but she trusted herself to follow through. ?Eloquent?Serenade,? she thought without reason, and then wired herself in. ?Statistics ongoing, initializing method for encounter and resistance, attacks ready to launch, all systems set out,? said Jing Li, going through a few switches and dials. ?Reminiscence code 636282045.? The screen shone, and a rumble started, showing that the mecha was in process. She moved Serenade?s arms as an analysis, and then rushed over to where the ruined ceremony was. She saw seven mechas now, all doing something. Two were messed up badly.

?Singers and Instrumentalists? The Singers!? Jing Li remembered who they were- a small portion of her memory that she could understand. And that moment, she devoted to help out the Prelude to Harmony and all that were on it?s side. But she didn?t know that it would be the same guy that she saw walking on the sidewalk earlier that day.

Seiryuu roared as Lana powered him up. She could feel freedom and pride rushing through her as she pressed a few more buttons. Seiryuu lifted his rapier and swung it around with such majestic flow and sheathed it until further use. Lana then flicked a few more switches and that activated his wings. They spread against the dark, dank empty storage house. Lana smirked as she moved the two large levers up to move Seiryuu.

Lana then opened the storage house door and looked upon the empty space that whistled around. She smirked and pushed the levers down. She then pulled them out once more and Seiryuu flew into the sky. With such grace and ease, Seiryuu breezed past the telephone poles as the two flew towards the ceremony.

"Let the games begin, Seiryuu."

Screams were heard as two mechas came into view. Lana flipped down her vision screen and had pressed a button so that she could see the mecahs clearly. The two were the Preludes of Harmony and Destructions. One looked Angelic and heavenly, while the other looked demonic and hellish. She smirked once more and flipped her screen back up. She then realized that a singer mecha was near, she scanned the mecha and saw felt that the pilot was the one who was near her area. She growled lightly and appeared before him.

Eyes widening in shock, Zoltin saw Aaron decimate the Instrumentalist that had attacked in one single shot. Obviously both of the Preludes were mechanical gods of heaven and hell.

Realizing that he was practically embedded in the building still, Zoltin shoved his hands through the screen, once again it appeared that his hands had become those of the Prelude. Grabbing the walls and propping the feet against the remaining part of the building, Zoltin sort of springboarded off and towards Aaron.

"Aaron!! How could you do this!?!" With that right hand cover slid down over the hand and a blade of light appeared from it. Somewhat shocked, Zoltin slowed down for a split second, that was just enough time for Aaron/Hashim to unsheath his blade. As soon as that had happened, both mechs clashed mid-air. A shockwave issued forth from the clash, causing windows to crack or to shatter depending on how close to the shockwave the building was. Sparks of energy spat from the blades like angry bees whose hive had been smacked with a stick.

"Aaron, why are you doing this!?"

"I TOLD YOU!! I'M NOT AARON, I'M HASHIM!!" With that Aaron's mech brought its knee up right into Harmony's abdomen causing it to buckle and bend over. This gave Aaron the opprotunity to thrust upwards and shoulder drive Harmony directly into the ground, the speed and the force of the hit caused a huge crater to form, but somehow Prelude to Harmony had managed to stay intact and hardly showed signs of damage, but the sword had disappated.

"All right. To all Instrumentalists, either get your ***** out of here or suffer the same fate as the one who attacked this city and disobeyed my orders. Got it!?" Aaron had yelled over his com system, it must have worked because any and all remaining Instrumentalist mechs had left the vicinity of the city. The only one left was Aaron and he was hovering directly over Zoltin.

"If I ever see you again Zoltin, you better be ready for me, because I'll kill you on sight and I will rule over everything." With that Prelude to Destruction, along with Aaron shot off into the distance leaving a dazed and still confused Zoltin.

Okay, now all Instrumentalists. You are to go to the base that you control and own. All Singers, go to the military base located near the shipping yards, its an underground base and you'll be guided there by a general. Thank you .

Jing Li peered through the screen of her mecha, and saw all the Instrumentalists ascend off. ?Bastards.? She then looked at Prelude to Harmony, about to land next to it. But unexpectedly, a new mecha was overhead, landing in front of the virtuous Prelude. It?s voice intercom turned on, so that everyone could hear. ?Listen up! I?m the General. I see from the look of things that you all are Singers.? The remaining mechas, including Jing Li, remained soundless. ?I?m going to call the base, and have a transportation vessel pick you up.? The General remained in the sky, fumbling with the base for transportation.

Everyone who had a mecha was soon out of his or hers. When Jing Li made it to the ground, she looked around the vicinity. Much of the ceremonial was destroyed, and the sky and sun were now covered with gray, a miserable and disheartening state. She then glanced at the others, and recognized the brunette-haired girl and silver-haired guy that were at the arcade- but where was the third one? Jing Li walked slowly over to the familiar guy, who was standing next to Harmony.

?I?ve seen you before,? she whispered, but he didn?t appear to pay attention; he seemed stunned and bemused of all that happened so far. Jing Li took one step closer to him as he was still staring at nothing. She noticed his shoulder, bleeding immensely. The blood trickled down his arm, and dripped off his middle finger, into a growing pool of red liquid. Jing Li was about to ask about it, then stopped herself.

The brunette ran over, and stopped next to them both. ?Zhi! Are you okay?! Your arm- Oh?.? The girl noticed Jing Li, and they stared for a few seconds. ?Who are you?? she asked. Jing Li hesitated. ?I?m, uh?my name is Jing Li.? Another guy approached them all, but he was unfamiliar. The girl remained muted, and then spoke. ?I?m Ryo,? she said, pointing to herself. ?And his name is?Zhi?? asked Jing Li. ?I?m really Zoltin,? said the guy, looking over to them, his eyes emotionless and barren. Jing Li then looked over to the unfamiliar male, waiting for him to identify himself. He put his hands behind his head. ?I?m Gene,? he said, then eyed Jing Li. "Lt. Gene."

And right at that moment, a massive, full-size vessel was hovering overhead, casting a shadow over them and the mechas. The four looked up, the wind propelling energetically. The vessel landed a distance away from all the mechas, and the gate opened up. ?That?s your ride, now get on in!? shouted the General.

After all the mechas were obtained in the rear, the four Singers then trudged to the ship as well. Jing Li kept glancing at Zoltin, who seemed -and was- despondent and emotionally wounded. Jing Li then remembered her parents, making a secret promise to come back for them, when all of this was over. ?I have a duty, and I?m going to hold it until all is done?Stay strong, Mom and Dad, wherever you two are.?

OOC: Sorry I'm late

Kayin arrived "What the heck happened here? I guess I was too late." Kayin said to himself.

"Hey kid!" someone shouted to Kayin, "Get your green-haired *** over here! Why are you late? You are Kayin aren't you?" he asked Kayin when he came over.

"Yes I am. I was late because of the commotion from the fighting. Are you issuing the Mechas." Kayin replied.

"You could say that. But, it doesn't matter get on the ship. Your Mecha is being boarded. You do the same. That's an order." he answered.

"Understood." Kayin said and rode his bike over to the ship and got on. I guess this is it. I'll finally see if I'm really fit to pilot a mecha. Kayin entered a room the general instructed him to go once he boarded the ship. There were others waiting in the room. "So you are Singers, too? My name is Kayin Cloud. It is a pleasure to meet you all." Kayin saluted to them.

Zoltin looked around the hanger section that his mech had landed on. Still stunned from the whole shock of Aaron going nuts to the fact that he was now piloting a mech, it was too much and he coudl feel his knees buckling from underneath him, Ryo thankfully was there and she grabbed him but him just going limp was a little more weight than she expected and they both went down.

"I still...I still can't believe that...Why?? Why Aaron??" Ryo knew he wasn't talking to her and she just held him up, but then she noticed the blood stained robe and then his wound.

"Zhi! You're hurt, dammit! Here hold still!" The girl quickly ripped the other sleeve off of Zoltin's robe and wrapped it tightly around his shoulder, he whimpered in pain but that was the noise he made, Ryo then moved around to Zoltin's good side and he slid his arm over her back and onto her shoulder.

"Jesus Zhi! How did that happen!?" Ryo could fully well guess what had happened and she should have remained quiet about it because right at that moment, Zoltin's face contorted into that of mental agony and tears cascaded down his face freely. The two limped into the onboard infirmary and the doctor who was on staff came hustling out of his office, he was a short man of about five feet two inches, but when it came to being a doctor it really didn't matter how tall you were, just that you be understanding and helpful to the patient.

"Set him on the bed." He said bluntly and Ryo did so, after she had the doctor pulled the makeshift bandage off of Zoltin's arm and then he took a pair of medical siccors and cut the other sleeve off. The wound now just had dried, caked blood around it, but the doctor administered some pressure and a small spurt came out which also resulted in Zoltin yelling out, but it didn't last long because the doctor simply smacked him once across the face.

"I'm not trying to kill you, I'm just examining it."

"Well can't you do it when I'm ******* asleep!?!?" Zoltin replied haughtly, he couldn't believe that this man would apply pressure to such tender flesh. The doctor merely sighed and grabbed a syringe and filled it with an anesthetic and injected it quickly into Zoltin. Once the boy was out the doctor called in his nurse and told her to prep him for surgery, nodding the nurse hustled Ryo out quickly.

Ryo paced for what seemed like hours, but by her watch it was only about ten minutes when the doctor came out with blood stains on his scrubs and a look of staisfaction.

"He's all right, thankfully that damn thing didn't damage anything vital or ricochet off of his shoulder." Ryo's heart skipped a beat with glee, her friend was okay!

"Can I go see him??"

"Yes, but he's sleeping for now. Once we get to the base you can take him to his quarters because he'll still be groggy from the anesthetic." Ryo nodded and slipped into the infirmary.

Morals, ethics, and a conscience. All gone. How wonderful.

Hashim sat in the windowless hangar of the base, with only himself and his mech for company. He was going through the belongings of his former self, trying to be sure that he was completely rid of Aaron. In the hour or so that he had spent in the dim room, he had learned to create a dagger from the shadows around him. He had also perfected the energy attack that he had used on foolish Instrumentalist you had the gall not to listen to him. All that was left to do was to erase the last strains of his weakness, and he would be perfect.

He then shut his com off to stop the other Instrumentalists from objecting and pulled open the huge door with the Prelude to Destruction. A large orange and green mech stood several yards before him, glinting in the dying sunlight.

"Hello, " The owner of the mech said through the crackling com. "My name is Chris and this is Euphoria. We are here to destroy you.

Seiryuu refused to obey Lana's orders and had flown after the pilot who they had confronted. He flew into the sky and had found the mecha, standing before the Prelude of Destruction. He had just hurled an orb of light towards the mecha. Growling, Seiryuu stepped in and slashed the orb. Aaron looked to the mecha, as did the other mecha. Lana growled as well. A voice appeared into the radio, a face appeared before her.

"Who are..."

The voice fell short when he had realized who sat in Seiryuu's seat. Lana raised an eyebrow. "I am Lana Belleraphon and you were following me, were you not?"

"And?"

"And like a coward you hid yourself from my view. Hah! You couldn't even give yourself the courage to face me. And now, inside your mecha, you must feel strong and powerful. Let us find out who is the better mecha. Prepare yourself."

Lana began to press a few more buttons and had typed in a few other things. She then unsheathed the hilt of a sword and swung it around so that Seiryuu copied her moves. She smirked at this and raised it in front of his face. The other mecha laughed as he pulled his hands back and created an orb of light.

"I am prepared...for this!"

The mecha fired a large stream of orbs of light towards Seiryuu, who stood there and with a swift movement, he had destroyed the stream of light. Lana snickered at this and pushed the right lever up and caused Seiryuu to fly forward, as he did, Lana turned the handle a quarter to the right and Seiryuu body slammed the other, making the mecha fly backwards.

With a grin, Lana turned it back and gently placed the lever down, but kept it intact. The mecha stood once more and had brought out its secondary weapon, a gun. It began to blast bullets of light towards Seiryuu, who couldn't cut through the light, eliminating it. He flew into the air, spreading his dragon-like wings as he did. The bullets sheared through the air and Seiryuu did everything in his power to dodge each bullet of light. The mecha had stopped shooting. Once he had done this, Seiryuu quickly sheathed his rapier and had clenched his fist and extending claw-like daggers had emerged from his wrist armor.

"Dragon's Fangs!" As the two mecha met, Seiryuu sent a fury of slashes and punches at the other mecha, who had no time to react or counter. Lana's voice came into the pilot's com. "You call yourself a singer and a mecha pilot when you don't even know the one thing about being a mecha pilot. I pity the fool who gave you this mecha...or at least the fool you stole it from."

Seiryuu flew into the air once more and resided as he unsheathed his rapier once more. He then held it to his mecha-like lips and began to play an eery, yet hypnotizing sound that emitted from the flute-like rapier. It had entered the Singer's ears and the mecha fell on its knees. Seiryuu sheathed the rapier, yet the song still flowed throughout the air. Seiryuu detached his claw-like daggers and had created a shuriken, which he threw towards the fallen mecha and slashed his stomach. The mecha fell to the ground and along with him, the pilot.

Ryo slipped into the white room and sat in the chair that was next to the bed. She reached out and held his hand gently in hers. Tears started to well up in her eyes and they started to roll down her cheeks slowly.

"Wake up Zhi. Even if you don't want to, you have to. People need you. Aaron needs you. Something's wrong with him." Ryo cried softly.

'What a horrible day. If it was me, I'd never want to wake up. Their big day and it was ruined. Now what's going to happen? Zhi has to wake up.' Ryo thought silently as the tears fell onto the white sheets over Zhi's body, leaving wet spots.

Ryo was upset from everything that had happened. She wasn't hurt atleast, but Nocturne was pretty badly damaged. She just hoped she could fix it in time for when she would need it.

Ryo clasped her friend's hand and gave it a re-assuring squeeze.

"Come on Zhi, pull through it. People need you here." Ryo smiled through her tears.

Even though it was only from anethstetic, some people could give up during the time they were asleep. It had happened and was always a possibility, just re-assuring someone could make the biggest difference. Everyone knew that talking to someone while they were sleeping or in a comma helped.

"You've still got a life ahead of you. We all do. Me, you, Aaron, and everyone! Just don't give up." Ryo whispered, continuing to let the tears roll down her cheeks, several landing on Zhi's hand and arm.

'Come on Zhi.' Ryo mind said. 'Be strong.'

OOC: Not good, I know. Can't think of anything.

A piano, hands striking the ivory keys, a haunting melody eminating from it. Zoltin was at his recital, but he just had done this a week ago. As he looked out over the crowd he couldn't see Aaron. Mentally kicking himself he remembered that Aaron had been backstage to give him a big pep talk. But something was amiss here, it just seemed wrong. Looking back out over the crowd he saw bodies on the floor and suddenly he was back to today, bodies were strewn about like dolls that some sadistic child had thrown about, blood was oozing and pooling around large deposits of the bodies. Zoltin reached up to cover his mouth from vomiting and managed to hold it back.

Still holding his mouth he saw Aaron holding a pistol at him, point blank at and his head. Tears welled in Zoltin's eyes and he could feel himself gasping every now and then.

"Aaron...please...don't.. you're like a brother to me!" Without a word Aaron pulled the trigger and the bullet flew towards Zoltin's head, but suddenly a large hand slammed down between the bullet and Zoltin, as it did though a haunting melody floated down from it. Looking up Zoltin was in awe, it was Prelude to Harmony.

"Come on Zhi, be strong." Rain, the water came down in a torrent and Zoltin embraced it, as he did the Prelude picked him up in a ball of light and the destruction was no more.

White, why was he only seeing white?? Drops of water, on his arm?? Had he actually been in the rain? He didn't know but his arm hurt like hell.

"Uggg....Was I out in the rain or was I dreaming??" Zoltin asked as he saw Ryo holding hand while wiping her eyes and letting out a chuckle at the same time.

"No silly. How do you feel?"

"Like crap, did that doctor put me under?!" Ryo nodded reassuringly and Zoltin fell back onto the bed and closed his eyes.

"I think I'm going to try and rest, that anesthetic crap really gave me a ****** up dream." Ryo nodded, but did not leave, even as Zoltin drifted into a deep sleep.

Jing Li was waiting near the infirmary, but since Ryo took Zoltin, she remained where she was, too shy to do anything. She backed into a part of a corner, away from everyone as humanly possible. She held her hands behind her back, clasped tightly, and looked at her feet. She didn't want to be noticed yet, so she just slowly rocked back and forth on her heels. She wondered about Zoltin and his wound, but after hearing the doctor speak of his recovery, she gave a sigh of relief. She then thought of Eloquent Serenade.

"How do I know about this mech? And how do I know the...reminiscence code?" Jing Li never remembered before, and it just fell into place, or so she thought.

She didn't know what to do for a while. And after staying that way for minutes, she felt another headache. She held her head with one hand, the other with her stomach. She closed her eyes, and saw the same child from before. Jing Li could only see the child's back again. The small one was walking, and soon, was then jogging. Jogging then turned to slow running, and that to sprinting. The child faded away, leaving Jing Li to only see darkness. The pain from the headache was gone again, and she opened her eyes to view one of the doctor's assistants watching her.

"Are you alright?" she asked, and Jing Li nodded hastily, daring to not say anything whatsoever; at least for now.

When the woman left, Jing Li looked around to glance at the other pilots aboard. She had already met Gene, and a new aquaintance, Kayin; though she hadn't spoke to them yet. "Wonder when we get to this base..." She slumped back against the wall, and remained to stare at the ceiling, fiddling with her locket.

Zoltin was not able to sleep for very long because his dreams were still being haunted by what had happened. His eyes opened slowly and he saw Ryo slumped in her chair asleep, her calm paced breathing assured him that he was still alive. Sliding out of the bed calmly he took the IV device out of his arm and he grabbed a uniform that had been put near his bed and quickly changed into them.

After he had changed he quietly exited the room, Zoltin remembered where the Prelude was and ran in its direction. As he entered the massive hanger he saw the mech standing there, the wings had folded over its face and it seemed like a giant monolith. His bare feet padded against the cold metal floor as he neared the mech.

"You, you're my only hope of getting Aaron back to normal. C'mon let's go and get my friend back." With that Zoltin bolted up the stairs that were attatched to the above catwalk, as he neared the mech he saw some movement, it was that Gene guy.

"Just where do you think you're going?" He said in a rather serious tone, like Zoltin shouldn't even be in here.

"I'm taking MY mech and I'm leaving this to go get my friend." With that he spun on his heel and faced the angelic mech and pressed his hand onto the chest, and in an instant he was abosorbed into the body and was once again sitting in the giant seat, the honey-comb like screen appeared before him again and he pressed his hands into it.

"Either you open the doors, or I'll tear them open!!" Zoltin yelled furiously through his intercom. Slowly the doors opened and the dark night sky could be seen, a few stars blinked happily. In a sort of awe, Zoltin just stood there, but then realized what he wanted to do. Jumping off the lip of the hanger bay he plunged Harmony down at an exponential rate towards the ocean. But before the mech even touched the water it stopped and thrusted fowards like a bullet, but as it did Zoltin was slowly rising it back up to the normal altitude.

"Aaron, I'm coming for you." Zoltin said to no one as he and the Prelude shot off into the distance.

"I am so bored..." Kayin said to himself. "There is nothing to do on this ship. Maybe I should go check out my mecha." Kayin walked down to where his mecha was stored. 'Requiem' the sign on the docking door read. "Requiem huh?" Kayin placed his hand on a scanner and the door opened to his mecha. He looked up at the mobile suit and gave it a quick look over. Very nice. I think the blades add a nice touch to it. I've been preparing for this for so long and now it's really happening. Kayin backed out of the door and it shut after him. "Now what should I do? Maybe I should get acquainted with the other Singers." Kayin returned to the room he met the others in.

"Did you get a look at your mecha?" Gene asked when Kayin returned.

"Yeah, I can't believe I get to pilot such a fine piece of work." Kayin said. Kayin approached the girl in the corner. "Hi, my name's Kayin. What is your name?"

Fayt watched the battle from the door of the hangar paying close attention to every detail. He winced as the mech who's pilot was unknown to Fayt shot with beams of light. Aaron managed to dodge the attack by jumping high into the air. "Aaron no not Aaron he is dead, Hashim now" Fayt sorrowfully thought. Returning his attention to the down mech he glanced up see3ing the battle between the prelude and the other mech.

"We need to get that damaged mech out of here" He thought turning to Lullaby.

It had been heavily modified in such a short time, custimized for Fayt. No longer was it white and blue with twin daggers, it was black and red. It looked as if it had demon wings and now carried a large energy scythe.

Running to the lift he started it upwards. "Lullaby is no more you are a Reaper, I shall call you Violin of a Static Lullably" Fayt said approaching ever closer to the cockpit.

The lift came to a stop and Fayt ran up to the mech placing his hand on a palm print reader.

"Acces verified.....Pilot Fayt Lunier" A mechanical voice echoed through the hanger.

The upper cockpit armor started to open and the lower did the same shortly after. Fayt quickle made his way into the cockpit. Standing up energy cables appeared out of thin air connecting his self to the mech. After flipping a few switches and pressing some holo screens that poped up all was green.

"Reaper lets go" Fayt yelled blasting out of the hanger and macking his way to the downed mech.

"Are you ok?" Fayt asked over the comm.

".....yes" a Female voice answered back after a period of silence.

"Okay lets get you back to the hanger" Fayt said picking up the mech and heading back to the hanger.

"No...I can still fight" She yelled over the comm.

"You can but your mech cant, lets get it fixed before theres more damage" Said Fayt.

Fayt entered the hanger and set the damaged mech on a mech pad and steped back and brought Reaper to a kneel. Quickly opening the cockpit he jumped out and ran up to the other mechs cockpit. The repair crew was allready at the mech by the time Fayt reached the cockpit. As the door slowly opened the female waked out and looked down at the repair crew.

"Don't Touch Him" She yelled

"But you mecha is damaged we need to fix it" A man in the crew said.

"I'll fix it I just need the tools" She shot back.

"But wouldnt it be faster if we did it" he said casually.

"I said I'll Fix it" She yelled becoming irritated.

Fayt watched as the ran down a found the tools and parts she needed and wheeled them up in a hover cart.

"Hey, do you need any help? Oh yeah by the way my name is Fayt" He said walking down by where the pilot stood examining her mecha.

Annoyed and irritated by the way men think that women need help when they were down, Lana took the tools and parts towards Seiryuu, who was propped up against the back of the hangar. Lana's heart fell to the bottom of her stomach. If only she had not gone and let her curiosity and anger get the best of her. With a sigh, Lana began to work on her mecha's damaged areas.

A feeling of being watched came over Lana as she worked on her mecha. She stopped repairing and looked down to see that Fayt, the boy who had spoke to her stood as he watched her. This also irritated her. She did not like being watched without her consent. She rolled her eyes and turned towards Fayt.

"I know you don't want help, but I think it'd be-"

"I don't like people touching Seiryuu. They tend to place things in him that makes him not...pure and...himself. They make him a robot and a dangerous weapon. I don't trust people around my mecha and around me."

Fayt looked to Seiryuu, who seemed to be alive. He was taken aback. "Your mecha...he's not like the others, is he?"

"No." Lana looked back to Seiryuu. "He's not. Seiryuu has a mind of his own. But when I am in the cockpit, he and I work as one. He knows what I think and I know what he thinks, yet when he is alone, he tends to do things on his own accord."

It seemed to Fayt that Lana had calmed down and was willing to talk, yet Lana was only speaking because she was afraid that by repairing Seiryuu, she would block herself from anything else and it would do her more harm than good.
--------------------------

OOC: Lana is actually more of the "Yeah, whatever." type of girl. She is distant from people, cool, calm, and collected. She is classy, fair, and filled with knowledge. She knows exactly what to say and she knows exactly what to do, yet when her mecha is in danger or when she is in a fight, her emotions tend to hide away and her fury of anger rises in her. She tends to not show her true feelings. That's basically who Lana is.

Looking down at the ocean, Zoltin felt somewhat at ease, the anger towards the world and towards himself had subsided and he couldn't feel anything right now, he seemed to not even be piloting Harmony as it flew forwards. After a few hours of flying, the sun started to peek near the horizion. The pink, orange, violet, and blue all seemed to meld into one beautiful scene, with the rising the stars seemed to blink out as if they were going to sleep themselves.

Yawning, Zoltin moved Haromy's head down and noticed a small island. It seemed a little too coincedental, like one of those horror/slasher flicks he'd seen so many times. An unexpected thing shows up and then its cursed or someone went crazy and killed people blah blah blah.. Either way Zoltin didn't care, its not like he was planning on leaving the mech.

As the Prelude landed the wings folded over the face and Zoltin dimmed the light in the cockpit and started to close his eyes when suddenly he felt himself being forced out of Harmony. Suddenly he went from sitting down to standing up on a cobblestone street. Looking around he saw old, moss covered buildings. It was quaint and quiet, but it just seemed too quiet. His boots clopping along the rutted gray street he saw a tavern with sign on it that read "The Stable Coach." The large wooden door didn't seem to move easily but then it was opened quickly from the other side and a man with a white powdered wig appeared. His cheeks flushed a brillant pink and a look of surprise on his face.

"Gentleman, I give you an outsider!" A thunderous roar of laughter eminated from the inner sanctum of the tavern and the man looked back inside with a look of determination as he grabbed Zoltin and hauled him in.

The tavern was lit semi-dimly with a fire roaring in the fire place and a couple of games going on. A little stunned at the simplicity, Zoltin was pushed rather roughly into the crowd, which went dead silent as they gazed upon him.

"Come on lad, introduce yerself." The bar keep said cheerfully and Zoltin cleared his throat.

"Uhh..I'm Zoltin, or Zhi as my friends call me and I'm a singer who pilots the Prelude to Harmony.." This time the crowd moved closer to him and the bar keep motioned for him to do something.

"So where is your counter part, the dark knight."

"If you mean Aaron, he's not here. I have no clue where he is." The crowd seemed lax and then the man that had grabbed him, pulled on Zoltin's arm and nodded his head for Zoltin to follow him.

The two proceeded up the street, which was now bustling with activity and buisness as usual. But it seemed dead silent near Harmony, which made Zoltin feel better. As the two came to a stop near the top of a hill, Zoltin saw a large cathedral.

"The father will have an answer for you."

The Prelude drew it's dagger and charged foreward. The cathedral, though dank and dilapedated on the outside, was very cozy and calm on the inside. Zoltin's boots clopped against the marble floor and the priest, who stood at an ornate altar with golden statues. He turned and faced Zoltin with a look of surprise.

"Ah, so you must be the new chosen one. I see, sit and tell me about yourself." Zoltinsat down next to the man in the front pew and let out a sigh of sadness.

"Well, my name is Zoltin and my friend's name was Aaron and we are the chosen ones, and I had to make the choice of wether I became a good guy or a bad guy and Aaron would become my opposite.. Well, I chose the good guy and now Aaron intends to kill me." A single tear ran down Zoltin's cheek, the priest noticed this and gripped Zoltin's hand reassuringly but then released it and walked towards the altar.

"This should give you some ground to fight him with, simply pour this water wherever it is that you should and you will know how to fight better." Zoltin extended his hands and grasped a golden flask, embedded on the flask were emeralds, rubies, and diamonds along with etchings of saints etc. Nodding thankfully, Zoltin walked out of the cathedral and back down the cobblestone street towards Harmony.

As he neared the kneeling mech, Zoltin extended his hand to re-enter the mech, he turned and was astonished, the entire town was nothing but ruins now. Torn and tattered buildings, the only thing still intact was the cathedral, but half of it had fallen into the ocean. But yet the flask he held in his hand was real. Sliding into the body of the Prelude, Zoltin still clutched it close to him, soon he found himself back in the cockpit and the water around the seat seemed to resonate with the flask. Guessing he should pour the contents of the flask into the pool, Zoltin uncorked the flask and poured the water in. In a flash the waters began to glow and now the pool was a brighter blue and gave off more light.

The panels in front of Zoltin flashed to life and it showed two things. The first one read "Bow and Arrow upgraded recognized and installed," the second on read "Aria of electricity recognized and ready for use." Smirking a little, Zoltin mentally thanked the ghosts of the village and he realized that the wings on Harmony's face had opened. Thrusting Harmony upwards into the sky, Zoltin noticed that a lone Instrumentalist mech was closing in on his position. As soon as it had caught site of him it opened fire on him. The blast of energy seeme dto be coming from a high-powered rifle, the shot rocked the Harmony and caused Zoltin to bounce back against his seat. Glaring angrily, Zoltin brought up the menu for the Aria of Electricity and fired it off.

On the outside, Harmony's mouth opened and a song was emitted from it, the song was so strange that it caused the Instrumentalist mech to freeze. Back on the inside, Zoltin pushed his hands through the screen and positioned them in the shape of a bow and arrow and as he did so, a bow of white light appeared and the arrow that formed was of pure orange light. Lining the arrow precisely, Zoltin smirked and released the arrow which shot like a mad hornet at its target which happened to explode in a shower of fire, smoke, and twisted metal. A little shocked, Zoltin fell backwards into his seat and let out a sigh of relief that he was safe.

The prelude had the mecha it was fighting by the throught. His dagger stood ready when it started to grow and change shape. It had formed a katana of pure darkness. The Katana soon found itself jammed into the mecha's cockpit.

Seiryuu began to stir and he clenched his fists. Lana noticed this and unlatched herself and jumped down to the ground. Fayt looked to Seiryuu as well. The two stood together and watched as Seiryuu's joints groaned.

"Seiryuu?" A voice of anxiousness came over Lana.

Seiryuu groaned as he replied to Lana's call. "I am here, Lady Belleraphon."

With a sigh, Lana spoke to Seiryuu in Romanian, one of the many languages he understood. "Seiryuu, este o orice dăunat la spre tu? Făcut tu a lua orice informaţii pe Prelude de Destruction? (Seiryuu, is there any damage done to you? Did you get any information about the Prelude of Destruction?"

Seiryuu stirred once more and groaned. Fayt looked to Lana in confusion, who looked to Seiryuu for answers. Seiryuu spoke to Lana, only this time in Romanian, as Lana questioned in Romanian.

"Lana , acolo is nu dăunat done la spre eu. (There is no damage done to me.)" Lana was anxious to hear more, but Seiryuu could not speak anymore.

"Alright. Pauză tu însuţi. I voinţă a voi plecare tu la spre al tău somn. (Rest yourself. I will leave you to your sleep.)"

With a sigh, Lana walked away from Seiryuu, who sighed as well and put himself in hibernation. Fayt followed Lana as she walked away. She had found a bench and sat there. Fayt sat next to her not knowing what to say. Lana did not need any sympathy and she knew that she needed no one but Seiryuu. Although she came from a aristocratic family who lived in honor and class, she was a girl who wanted to run away from that and did anything to keep that away from her. She would turn into the one thing that her parents thought her not...a disobedient, trouble-making, unruly girl who despised everything in the world.
