Summer is here, and school is out. So what are your plans for the summer?

I’m going to get a job, make as much money as humanly possible before school starts again and then I’m going to my best friends house (in another state) to stay for one or two weeks. :p

I, unfortunately, am an "adult" and don't get summer vacation. I do get time off but it just isn't the same as summer vacation when I was still in school. My plans for my vacation time is to go to my hubby's family reunion in Indiana at the end of June then go to California for Anime Expo in Anaheim.

As soon as we get back from the family reunion we have to go straight to Cali. It is going to be a crazy few weeks for me! I am looking forward to getting out of my hometown for a little change of atmosphere. I miss the days of hanging out all summer with "nothing to do". I now realize that nothing to do is much better than being overworked at a job! :rolleyes:

and I on the other hand, dont get summer break until June 11. But, my plans go a little something like this:

Sleep, play video games, hang out until dinner, then play more video games, and go midnight marauding with my brother. then sleep, play video games, etc...

GAH! Oh, you lucky, lucky public school kids! I am home schooled, and have school year round! I am planning on some stuff, though...

My BBF gets out of school Tuesday, and might be having a 'Out of School' party. She has a pool... I will be going to my grandparents when their pool opens, and maybe go to a aneversary garden thingy with tubing and food! THats all I know about though...

I don't get out until next Thursday . . . and I still have homework. 12 pages of German left to translate . . . and I actually have a 25-50 page report due for psychology. I've had [I]teachers [/I] who have never had to do a paper this huge! Pavlov is just not that interesting to me.

I'll be looking forward to graduating and never having to fight all of my family for the bathroom (six of us, plus cat, plus one bathroom = I never get in) at 6:30 in the morning again.

Hopefully.

And presents. Graduation gifts. But I don't want things like laundry detergent. I want manga. (I'm going to make a bad adult. :o )

The rest of the summer I'll probably be wasting away checking OB every hour and if there's nothing which I feel like to post on, I'll go play some lame games. Either Snes, MMORPG's or online FPShooters.

[color=#9933ff]Ugh. All of you are going to cool places, like foreign countries. My dad wanted to take me to Europe or Thailand but of course my mom's like "NO! YOU'RE NOT GOING!" which translates into "I'm spite-ing your father by not letting you go" which of course, isn't fair to me. And those stupid people had to bomb a train in Madrid, so that's her "other" excuse not to let me go. -__-; If you don't go anywhere on the 11th, you'll be fine!

Hopefully the library will hire me this summer so I don't go out of my mind and so I make money. I'll probably go to Boston for a week to visit cousins, in August.

BTW, I wish school got out as early as it does for you college kids. Finals are June 14, 15, and 16. Please pray I don't fail. v_v[/color]

I don't get out til next Friday. Next week's going to stink with exams plus we have to show up for every class even for ones that we don't have exams for, if we don't, they'll count us absent. >_<

Well, my birthday is next month and I'm looking forward to presents. My baby nephew's moving in with us for the summer, so that'll be fun. ^_^;; Good part is, though, I get paid for babysitting him. I'm taking both the ACT and SAT next month too, if only you knew how excited I am to take those. :rolleyes: And one of my friends is going to boot camp over the summer, so it won't be as fun without him.

Nothing really fun is going to happen to me over the summer, though I can't wait to see the third Harry Potter movie. Hmm, I wonder what other movies I want to watch is coming this summer. Anyway, I'll most likely be playing video games over the summer, though I dunno what yet. I guess I could write in my book during the summer.

Hopefully I can find something more exciting to do this summer. ^_^;;

My final day of high school is tomorrow, and it's about freaking time! I mean, nothing is more horrible than the public school system. But anyway, I shall do a few things this summer. I'm gonna work my butt off at Ron's Restaurant as head cook, then schedule some time off to go to the Jafax convention with my g/f in Grand Rapids, MI, then go to the Bela Fleck and the Flecktones concert, and possibly canoe an entire river again with my best friend.

I am attempting to get a job this summer working in the kitchen of a retirement villiage if I cant work there i'll try being a bagger at the asian market. My mom wants me to take college courses this summer so I can get some credits now but im like I really need a break, this has been by far the most depressing school year so far.

This summer I am also going to Florida on vacation first time i've left the state on vacation in almost 7 years im pretty excited. This summer im also getting my learners permit and taking driver's ed. I want to stark looking for a girlfriend as well, doubt i'll find one but hey its worth a try.Oh yeah its going to be my first year at Otakon this year, I can barely wait. [/SIZE][/COLOR]

My friends and I had planned d on going to Anime Expo in Anahiem bu they couldn't afford plan tickets. I hate being a poor college student. BUt instead i've decided to go visit my Auntie, Uncle and 4 cousins in Seattle. Its going to b so cool i haven't seen them in three years. I am going to get to see my cousin Irish Step Dancing Reciatel. 0<((_^)>0 Than its back home home again and off to see my friends who went millions of miles away for college. I also plan to see my old GErman teacher. The final strench of my vaction will be int he hosptil, for surgeory. The worst part is that my stay there will go into my first week of classes, (i actually want to go to class) but i already have a plan to get put of there for them. The hospital is four blocks away from my school. 1. either to beg and grovel. 2. Give the cute kittie eyes, i have yet to see someone say no to my kitties eyes. 3. to flirt shamlessly if its a male nurse.

My summer plans are to get a job at a local store, and try to earn $2000 once the Japan trip comes around next spring break. (I'll still work through the next school year.)

I am also going to Philadelphia for a week too, then after that, my older brother's wedding.

pshhh skool here is supposted to be "one of the top schools in the nation" but the only languages they offer are French (useless) and spanish. I really want to take german, but nein, i cant. bas***ds

I think Summer Vacation is an evil trick. Why? Because every year from when you're five to when you're 17 you get summers off. This continues into college unless you take summer courses and you get used to it. Then you reach the real world and you have to work for you vacation time and if you're like my parents you'll spend part of a vacation fixing up the house.[/color]

Well, I don't have summer vacation either, but unlike the people that don't have it, I actually have to go to school. I go all year 'round every year in college. I'm still in my Spring quarter even, which still has like five weeks left. I get two weeks off and I'm back in class for another eleven weeks.

Yea, I've been on summer break for about 4 weeks now. Anyway though i probably have the best vacation coming up in August with about 7 other friends that i go to college with. We all planned to go to Cancun for 7 nights all exclusive with the 2nd best rated hotel (name I'm still not exactly sure of). Anyway one of the kids I'm going with has an aunt thats a travel agent, so she hooked us up and gave us all a discount as well. Anyway though thats probably the only thing I'm looking foward towards this summer...should be the best time of my life.

Also, I wish I was at least 15 or 16, because by then, I could get a summer job at a summer school calld CYC in San Francisco. It's no more than like a baby-sitting place, but you get to go on field trips with the rest of the kids too. It'll be fun!

Wow you live in MD too? I was forced to move here 3 months ago and now I don't get out till the 16th. Meanwhile back in my home city of New York, my friends get out on the 15th.

Well this summer I'm going to New York to visit my friends and then lay around and sleep all day. I may try drivers ed and try and find a job.
