Guest Midnight Rush
It is 3:36 AM... I'm tired... and sunburnt. I don't know why, but I was ******* around with wordpad, and this came out: The forest darkens As the sun sets Shadows grow deeper And the moon is hidden by the clouds. Deep in the brush, A small child is lost. Alone in the cold With no food. The child is crying Needing protection No help will come Only deeper darkness. Loudly sounding O?er crunching snow The howl of the wolf pack Shatters the silence. The pack runs Testing the air Lusting for blood Needing to kill. The feral beasts Hear the crying The howling stops And they circle in. The child is no longer alone But is in a circle of eyes. He stops crying now, And is confused. The pack leader comes forth Daring the child to fight Slowly the others Come closer to the prey With killing is his eyes, The pack leader howls The child begins to scream And the wolves come closer. The wolves leap forth And strike at the throat Not a sound the prey makes In the converging darkness
