Issue 1 of Psychic Academy

Psychic Academy can be described in a few words. Funny, Action-packed, and CUTE! P.A. has blown me away and my favorite manga so far. The pictures are so smooth and clear. And the selection of characters are great.

I'm gonna take this intro about P.A. from TokyoPop:

Zerodaimu Kyupura Pa Azalraku Vairu Rua Darogu (a.k.a. Zero) once stopped the evil demon lord with his incredible psychic ability, and in the process saved the world from destruction and earned the honorable and highly imaginative title 'The Man Who Stopped the Evil Lord.'

Now, he has accepted a position as a teacher at Psychic Academy, a school for gifted psychokinetic youngsters who have demonstrated incredible raw powers and want to learn how to hone their abilities. Among the student body is young Ai Shiomi, Zero's little brother, a somewhat meek boy who, despite parental prodding and his fraternal reputation, feels that his limited skills hardly justify his presence at the prestigious academy.

However, everyone else is convinced that he, like his celebrated brother, is destined for greatness. A lot of pressure for a boy just entering adolescence!

*SPOILER FOR ANYONE THAT DIDN'T READ THE MANGA*

P.A. Discussion
What do you think Faafa's connection with Ren? I think Ren has the "soul bond" with Faafa much like Ai with Mew.
THis is going to destroy everyone's vision of me:
Who thinks that rabbit has more serious then the book intended. I mean that rabbit is sooo CUTE!!! But yet he served for Nobunaga (a warlord who kills a person even though he said he won't kill them o.O;;;;). Plus he knows tons about Aura...
Uhh..I thought that
Ren and Fafa were of the same spirit..or something.
and in my opinion,Master Boo is annoying,I hate his nicknames and slangs!
When he said he worked for Nobunaga,I think he was being sarcastic.
Bah, cut-and-paste synopses just make threads like these look like spam. I know where all the manga publishers are; I can always go there to read their canned blurbs. According to them, everything they publish is the greatest manga ever... this thing you put here doesn't even do a good job of telling the story.

Psychic Academy is wobbly at best. It relies too much on its cute characters to cover up for a half-baked story - that must be why there is so much fanservice. Visually it's a mess - lots of high-school kids can draw better than this. It's a fairly good page-turner but in a way the end is a cheat (I already read the whole thing).

I've only just recently started collecting this manga and I've got volumes 1-3 so far (wow, so many). But I'm totally addicted!

I know it's actually quite perverted, but it just seems to add to the humour. Anyone who's read it will know what I'm talking about, I'm sure.

The story basically follows a young boy names Ai Shiomi. He is blessed with psychic powers and has to attend the Psychic Academy.
He does not want to be there and is adamant that he's a useless psychic, but matters are not helped by the fact that his older brother is a living legend.

Everyone believes that Ai will follow in his brother's footsteps and that he's some kind of prodigy, all the attention generally leaves Ai getting beaten up by someone

Despite it's regular perversions, I consider this manga a romantic comedy at it's best. I really suggest that anyone who is looking for a good laugh buys this manga; it's a great read.

On a side note, this is my 400th post! Happy!
