Rei_Man
count me in Name: Faye Lockehart Age: 21 Side: Lowendove Gender: Female Species: Human Race: British Description: See attached image; Faye refuses to be found in anything that does not display her beauty, even on the battlefield. She will very rarely take armour of any kind into battle, other than a thin protective vest beneath her clothing. Personality: Of a character rather unheard of among vampire-slayers, Faye is a very energetic and outgoing young woman, always seeking to meet new people and make new friends. Unlike many of her peers, she has never been found expressing any feelings of hatred towards vampires, and some are suspicious of her motives in joining the Lowendove Brotherhood. Those who she allows close to her, however, have slowly come to understand that her outward self is nothing more than a cover for the deep-rooted anguish of her soul. Weapons: Faye does not feel comfortable using guns; several of her childhood friends were killed by crossfire in a confrontation between humans and vampires several years ago. Instead she opts for the rather unorthodox weapon of a simple spear, with a detachable blade useful for close combat. The shaft of the spear is carved from wood grown on sacred ground and so used without the blade, though not capable of killing, can be quite effective at warding off unholy assailants. As well as the detachable blade, she also carries a small pocket knife, not of any great use in battle, and occasionally a bow with arrows made of silver. She has also recieved extensive training in the Aikido fighting style. She rarely boasts of her abilities, and so she is often underestimated. Though she is not the best fighter in the world, she is certainly well capable of defending herself in battle. Place of Birth: Cheltenham, England Biography: Being a relatively new recruit to the Lowendove forces, only a few know the full details of her past. She was born into a wealthy family and for the early part of her life, up to the age of 9, she lived a peaceful life, isolated from the turmoil of the world beyond. However when the first seeds of vampire rebellion began to emerge, this all changed. A small, yet heavily armed, force of vampires sieged the city, laying waste to everything in sight, and murdering all before them, from the youngest to the oldest, without mercy. By the time the RSDG were called in to handle the situation nearly half of the city's population had been wiped out, and the situation worsened as many more innocent civilians were used as human shields by the small vampire force. The RSDG's priority was to remove the vampire threat, regardless of human casualties. Though Faye and her family survived the siege, she could not be hidden from the vampire conflict any longer. For years she possessed a deep hatred for both the vampire race and the RSDG, and though by the time she was 17 this hatred had settled into a significantly weaker state, she still felt that she could not stand back while these vile creatures set about murdering innocent civilians. The moment her parents allowed her to leave home, she immediately went out in search of the Lowendove Brotherhood, knowing that they would be the only means by which she could fight the vampire race - she wanted to rid the world of all vampires, and so knew that she would never be accepted into the RSDG. In order to join the Lowendove Brotherhood she was forced to lie about her past and deny her rich and comfortable upbringing. Faye now has no choice but to live out her false life, a burden which seems to be slowly wearing away at her conscience - and she believes that her only chance for atonement will be to wipe out the vampire menace on and for all. Zen
Well, I cut a deal with Metatron that he would be making two characters, since he can't decide on which to choose, and both will be Lowendove. So, sign ups are basically closed unless anyone else wants to join the party, but once he puts up his sign ups, they will be closed. So, waiting.

Kwai
Name: Enrique Glaydn Warrington Age: 63 (Looks to be in his mid 20?s) Nationality: German Affiliation: Lowendove Brotherhood Weapons: Trip Wire: Warrington?s primary assignment during his years of service to the military dealt mainly in the arts of tactical bombing. His skills and precision in conducting a trap that lulled many unfortunate battalions to their death have created a legend of their own. The legend of the ?Trip Wire?, as he was called, still lives on in the military, as the calm, quiet man who, with a completely guiltless air, sent over three-hundred men to their deaths amidst the exploding shells and inferno. Though much a time passed since the emergence of the legend, Warrington has not lost touch of his explosive trapping skills. He is capable of turning any location into a minefield, with each little explosive?s detonation under his control through a complex network of trip wiring. The wires are almost completely invisible to the naked eye, and when the air suddenly seems to glisten in an unnatural ripple, a tide of scorching flame engulfs the poor victim. Runic Talon: A set of ancient claws that sharply contrasts with Warrington?s main arsenal of modern day explosives, the claws look like nothing more than a dilapidated piece of work, dull and blunt after centuries of wear and tear. The claw itself is said to be the weapon that was used by a serial killer somewhere down in India, and after his execution, went through the hands of various collectors, eventually coming into the possession of Warrington. What is little known about the serial killer is that he actually was a rogue vampire hunter who met an ironic end through the laws of the very race he was trying to protect. Perhaps Warrington felt some strange aura that drew him to the claw. Or it may have been a whim. In any case, he has never been pushed to a situation to use this claw, for his main acts of killing are done from a distance. Ability: Implant: One of the reasons Warrington retired from the military was due to the deterioration of his physical and mental health after the many sleepless hours spent out in the field, setting up the trap to the last minute detail. Such a job undoubtedly cuts deeply into the physical and mental health of a human being, and Warrington was no exception. After twelve years of front line service, Warrington?s nerves began to break down slowly, leaving his body in a wrecked state. After three years of being in a half-living, half-dead state, his former associate who worked for the medical division of the military secured him a position in a series of experimental implants that was supposed to enhance the physical boundaries of an ordinary man. There were four others who received these implants, and out of all five, only Warrington lived. The bodies of the other four rejected the foreign mechanical implants, and it only hastened their death. Warrington?s nearly wrecked body, on the other hand, worked to be an advantage. His body had little strength to amass enough power to reject the implants, and in time, simply accepted the implants as normal body parts. With the implants, Warrington?s muscle strength, agility, sensitivity, regeneration, and many other human abilities have been considerably boosted. Personality: Cold and impartial, Warrington has a clear-cut vision that divides the world into either white or black. There is no dull, gray line floating in between the two, only the right and wrong. Should Warrington?s quest to kill a vampire be impeded by the presence of a hostage, Warrington will kill the hostage without any hesitation. With a simple ?Amen?, he would blast both the hostage and the vampire to pieces. Though this seemingly cruel personality has been sharply criticized in the past, many in the Brotherhood do not bother putting up complaints about this in recent days. After all, he kills vampires like no other member of the Brotherhood, and as long as he?s the one leading the kill count, there is no strong case against him. Appearance: The implants in Warrington have had a positive effect on his physical appearance, giving his body a more muscular frame that would be incompatible with a 63 year old body. His body is a bit on the thin side, and his hair is coarse and disheveled. He usually wears a pair of black glasses that completely hide his eye. His entire body is covered by a black-cloak that is ripped and torn along the edges. Under the cloak, he wears a dull-gray uniform that has been obviously worn for some time, with a pair of pants lined with pockets, each holding some unique explosive weaponry. A small pouch is strapped to his left shoulder that contains his set of claws. Bio: The biography of Warrington is that of an honorable soldier who served the military, then was honorably discharged. That?s the public story. The private, of course, is a tad more twisted, complicated, and full of odd tangents of events connected together. Warrington was, as stated, one of the tactical bombers that went out into the field to lay mines, set up traps, and complete other less-than-honorable missions. Of course, many of these soldiers never live long enough to step up to fame. They all die at some point, one dying after two years, another after a month, and maybe yet another on the first day. Warrington, however, was one of those geniuses, the kind that is so incredibly good but so incredibly horrifying because he is so incredibly good at what he does. In Warrington?s case, sending dozen or so men to their grave in one flick of a switch, a trip of a wire, or a click of a button. He never failed, he always survived, and his mission always a success. But unfortunately, he had his limitations as a human being. One particular day, for no reason at all, he just dropped. He was put into a military hospital, and stayed there for three years in a subconscious state of mind, his body just barely hanging onto the cliff of life, with the valley of death yawning below. He got lucky (actually, it was his friend), and was picked as one of the five samples to be tested for the use of implants. Long story short, the other four died, he lived. He was, again, the successful survivor where many others failed. The project, for which Warrington was used as a guinea pig, never actually took flight. The incompatibility of the implants with the human body was an obvious conclusion and only the extreme fatigue and exhaustion of Warrington?s body seemed to have been the successful component. Though Warrington was fully rejuvenated, more so than his years of service, he began to doubt the military?s general sanity when he learned more about the project into which he was forcefully cast. Slipping through the eyes of the numerous watchers set on him, Warrington disappeared. Fearing the possible repercussions of conducting a military hunt after an individual so skilled and wily, and also due to the probable criticisms of the public should the details of the project ever get out, the military never set up an organized pursuit to hunt Warrington. He was free. Now, Warrington is one of the main field operatives of the Lowendove Brotherhood. He apparently has no powerful sentiments of hate or rage against the vampires, but there is a chilling coldness of impartial fury in him when he is pitted against the vampires. Rumors in the Brotherhood of his recruitment ranges from him being blackmailed by the Brotherhood to join, while others believe Warrington killed off a good number of Brotherhood members in their first confrontation, thus garnering favor in the eyes of the recruiters. In any event, Warrington has been around for a while, and has cast his fearful name again, not in the underworld of the military, but instead in the underworld of vampire politics. Name: Brendan Setton Age: 12 Nationality: English Affiliation: Lowendove Brotherhood Weapons: Blood Harvester: A medium sized wooden cross that is connected to Brendan?s left wrist by a long chain. To humans it is utterly harmless, yet it is as sharp as an expert forged sword against any night-walking vampire. The core of this weapon is a small cross necklace that Brendan?s mother was wearing when she was killed by a jealous vampire. A faint aura of motherly protection, combined with the vengeful reminder of a painful death gives this blade a harsh, merciless edge against any vampiric creature, tearing through undead flesh effortlessly. Ability: Duality: It would be much simpler to call this ability a split personality. But with the two sides so sharply contrasting with each other, it is probably more accurate to refer to this as duality, with the yin and yang, with the angel and demon residing within one body. When he is called ?Brendan?, he is a bubbly, cheerful boy that loves to annoy his guardian figure, Warrington. He is even cheerful and happy-go-lucky in battle, even talking affably to the vampires that he is hunting. When he is called ?Setton?, he is cold, silent, and merciless. The general aura exuding from him suddenly turns homicidal and menacing, with the desire to kill bursting from every portion of his being. Personality: Brendan is the type of kid that is annoying, but a bit too cute to really get mad at. He loves using his young age and general cuteness to get what he wants, and is especially fond of troubling the higher-ranking members of the Brotherhood with his little tantrums. Unfortunately for Warrington, Brendan follows him incessantly, and due to this, landed a position as his partner. Now Setton, on the other hand, is probably the reason he is in the Brotherhood at such a young age. Absolutely merciless to anything vampiric, he would rather rid the world of himself than being forced to make peace with a vampire. Appearance: Brendan insists on wearing something very similar to what Warrington wears. Even though he can?t mimic the obvious age on Warrington?s attire, he strives very hard to bring his general fashion up to par with Warrington?s. On his general appearance, he appears a bit ridiculous, as if something out of Harry Potter with the big cloak and all. His round face is absolutely cute and charming, especially when he breaks into one of his smiles. Bio: Brendan was born into one of the better areas of London, with a loving father and mother, the very model of an ideal family. His early life was very happy and cheerful, with his parents adoring over him, his father bringing him small sweets daily, and his mother enveloping him with love in every little way. It didn?t last. The father found another woman who apparently pleased him better during the night than his mother, and the family broke up. His mother worked hard to keep the sinking vessel of family afloat, while his father went off with his lover almost every night. His mother told him that his father was a very busy man and had to get his work done. But even then, Brendan was able to see exhaustion in his mother?s cheerful, happy face, and he was slowly beginning to sense that it wouldn?t last. And one day, it finally fell apart. It turned out, strangely enough, that his father had fallen under the charm of a whore. The whore turned out to be a lustful vampire, who was more interested in bodily pleasure than her hunger for blood. The vampiric lover paid a visit to Brendan?s house one day when his father was actually out working for the night, and decided to get rid of the wife and son that was holding her and her lover apart. The confrontation left a permanent scar in Brendan as he watched in horror while a stranger bit down on her mother?s neck, and his mother?s flailing movements slowly came to a stop as she gradually turned deathly pale. Brendan?s line of sanity and insanity snapped there. He crumbled down helplessly onto the floor as the strange woman came over to him, licking her lips maliciously. His vision was suddenly switched from the demonic woman to that of a sudden flame of inferno erupting from under the woman?s feet, incinerating her instantly. He heard a soft whisper of ?Amen?, and a great black shadowy man appeared from the flames. This image was eternally branded into his image, of his rescuer and at the same time his avenger stepping forth from the ashes of the murderer. The man took Brendan under his cloak, and Brendan lost his consciousness there. Brendan found himself in the hospital wing of the Brotherhood, and the first thing he saw again in his hour of safety was the looming man over him. As he stared up blankly, smiling involuntarily with the sense that he was looking up at his father, the man nodded slightly then left the hospital wing. Brendan recovered, but the mental damage inflicted on him was impossible to calculate. Not wanting to let the boy go without being sure that the boy wouldn?t talk about the incident, the Brotherhood assigned Warrington to be a guardian of Brendan until it was deemed safe to release him. Brendan was a cheerful, bubbly kid that just seemed to love getting attention, especially that of Warrington that he looked up to after the rescue. Warrington was obviously fond of this small child, and after a few weeks, Brendan found himself free to maneuver his way throughout the stronghold of the Brotherhood. He, of course, heard many things in there, of vampires and their characteristics, of ways to slay them. After half a year, Brendan put two and two together and concluded that it was a vampire that killed his mother. He begged/wheedled Warrington to let him be a hunter, to which Warrington reluctantly, and at the same time, delightedly permitted. Two years have passed since Brendan first came to the Lowendove Brotherhood as a mentally scarred boy. He is now Warrington?s partner, always hanging onto Warrington like a small mascot. Wherever Warrington goes, he goes, and whatever Warrington condemns, he condemns. What Warrington kills, he kills. He is a child at heart, but his skills in killing a vampire easily match that of a fully-grown adult slayer.

Okita
eh I made a character... please please please let me join, I really like the setting and your history is so neat! I promise I'll make a good attempt! here is my bio -judge and find me worthy :) Name: Lilith Cecile Kain aka Lily Age: Unknown *The sole daughter of Kain the Betrayer (ie VERY OLD) Side: Blood Brood *non-formal affiliation* (ie she is stalking them for fun) *Note: as a story tie, she has a case of major hero worship toward Nicoleta, believing her to be the perfect 'lady' and is currently follwoing her from afar like a lost puppy * Gender: Female Species: (half) Vampire (Dhampire, Dhampeal etc) Race: Aramaic??? Description: *See picture here please!!!* Fair haired Lilith, daughter of the betrayer, progeny of Kain, draped in gowns of sable black, supple and straight of limbs, violet eyes that haunts the stars, sweet melody that soothe the dead, malice draped in innocence, hate smothered in love, despoiled purity, fallen grace, angel without wings, devil unworthy. She who is internal youth, forever stasis, forever still. The eternal maiden trapped before bloom. Personality: She is very knowledgeable but also extremely naïve, spoiled rotten from an early age as befitting a noble of one of the first great house, she is a indirect sire of the ancient vampire propagator (who gave undeath to immortal Kain, son of Adam and Eve, her father) She likes to be pampered but also likes people that can boss her around (and can stay alive afterward) she enjoys stalking her ?playmates? (aka victims) and has a great passion for objects of beauty. She is also COMPELETLY AMORAL and does not understand the remotest concept of good and evil, this is a result of her upbringing as well as heritage, Kain wanted his daughter to be a living doll, perfection in form and pure of spirit. (see more detail in biography Weapons: Dues ex Machina: (see biography for more detail) This ancient Golem that once served the ?First? was the shell of the Armageddon beast ?Death?, who once roamed the earth under servitude of the first house. When the first house felled, Kain having dethroned his sire to become first house himself (the house of Kain) the beast along with its brethren cease working as the magik that binds it to earth fell apart along with the ?First? and his minion. The machine was reawakened decades later in a ritual of binding to serve the Lady Lilith, daughter of Kain. The ritual was in actual fact a seal by Kain to lock away his daughter?s power, for Kain fear that his perfect doll would one day rebel just as he did to rid him as he had the ?First?. What he failed to anticipate however was a portion of Lilith?s mortality (she being a half breed) also binding with the lifeless machine, it?s effect was unnoticeable at first, but soon the Golem had gain a conscious and awareness of it?s own, much to the delight of Lilith who had finally gain an eternal playmate. The golem is very powerful, having the ability to become invisibile, is virtually immune to any form of magik (including holy) and is also nearly indestructible. It is also fiercely protective of it?s mistress (Lilith) (And a lot smarter than her too) Deus lower abdominal is hollow and contain a hatched that acts as a coffin, while Lilith does not require one being a Daywalker, it is her most comfortable type of bedding as well as being the safest. Daywalker: As Lilith is half mortal (and direct descendent of Adam through both her parents) she is able to walk in daylight and is immune to most typical vampiric bane *Note: Lilith has very little power, she is immune to holy weapon but she has very little offensive capability save to command Deus. (which more than make up for it) She is about as powerful as newborn fledging vampire, she has faster healing factor, night vision etc, but not much else. Place of Birth: The Black Sea, near the border of modern day Turkey and Romania Biography: Born to the illustrious house of Kain, Lilith Kain was sole daughter of Kain the Betrayer, who never wanted an heir, but rather a plaything to be paraded before his minions. Born a half breed who?s mother was a direct descended of Adam through Able, the daughter of Kain grew up in complete isolation as a gentle, sheltered and very much naïve doll, completely innocent and completely pure, just as Kain had always wanted. At the age of twelve however, fate decided to spice things up, and Lilith?s till then torment vampiric power began to surface, slowly and with increasing dread, Kain watch as she grew more and more powerful, until a wild surge accidental destroyed a servant so utterly that no even dust was left in the aftermath. This was the last straw and Kain began plans to nip the bud of his fledging would-be-heir. Completely unaware of these event, the lonely and despondent child continue as she normally did, never making any choice (for there was no to make) and thus never to grow and discover morality. So it is then, that the door to good and evil are thus close, for the child slipped pass and now walked the road of ambiguity. Kain meanwhile had finally found a way to seal off his daughter?s power, and was overjoyed, for by now he had began to fear the potential of his daughter who grew leaps and bounds, a doll was not meant to have power, a doll was meant to sit and look pretty, nothing else. Thus the ceremony commenced, and Kain would bind his daughter?s power to the core of an Ancient golem that once house ?Death? of the Armageddon beast. The ritual was prepared with fastidious care, hundreds of sacrifices both human and vampire along with strong blood magik went into the formulation of the circle of rune. Kain would accept nothing but success. And thus fate decree: Kain would get his success. Ah! But it was hollow victory despite appearance, and latter he would reap the bitter reward. Kain had wanted to bind Lilith vampiric power, all that which is required of her vampire origin was eternal beauty and grace, but what he failed to anticipate was Lilith?s humanity. Part of her human soul was also absorbed by the golem, who not at first but slowly throughout the centuries began to develop awareness. Lilith was delighted by her new playmate, for never having being giving a pet nor friend, the monstrously giant golem-beast became her first and only talkative friend -an eternal companion. Even more amazingly, the former Armageddon beast reciprocated the love of the child, finding in her his missing half and desperately yearning to please and protect. Century past and little change, the golem served faithfully while Lilith slowly began dreaming of freedom. The Golem took notice Kain meanwhile was far too busy to take notice of his charge, involved as he was in a vicious battle with an upstart noble who had the gall to imitate the ?First? this worm, this so called ?Nosferatu? was becoming a bigger thorn to his side by the day. Thus was he blissfully unaware of his Daughter?s fate, or the fact that his perfect sentinel had achieve sentience and had decided that it?s mistress came first. And so it was during the middle of THIS hazardous and long running war that Deus and Lilith made the flight from Castle Nazareth and venture out into the wide wide world. Kain quickly became aware of the escape, furious that his perfect doll had somehow rebelled he order his minions to bring her back at all cost. At first one went, for a war was still on and it would not do to waste men on silly errand, but when the one fail to return, two was sent, then four, then six, then a dozen until the frothing mad Betrayer diverted his entire attention and resource to bringing back ?nay- DESTROY his stupid broken doll! This proved to be his last mistake. Within a short month and in a titanic battle that left scar still present till this day, the house of Kain was eradicated, and Nosferatu now lord of the first house by virtue of being the victor, stood supreme and unchallenged. Kain was no more. This was the foundation of House Tepes (the impaler) who would later born the legendary Vladimir Tepes aka Dracula, the terror of the Turks and greatest of Walachia?s prince. Of Lilith?s fate none knew, for the Golem and it?s mistress had long wonder out of the reach of even Nosferatu, traveling through middle-east to reach the unformed land of India then China and Russia before crossing the sea to reach modern day Canada. Thus did fate spins it?s tale and thus did the house of Kain fell, but the name of Kain yet lives, for Lilith yet lives, the sighting of the eternal maiden has occurred frequently throughout history, often being confused with that of the Virgin Mary, a great irony that bears no justice to the former and little comfort to the later. The most recent sighting is not even a year old, VAC agent reported someone of her description in London, the heart of the modern day conflict between Vampire and Humans? *Note: Lilith is a born vampire and would have stopped aging upon maturity, but the binding of her power stopped the aging process early, she is stuck eternally in a 12 years old's in body... FIN ~*~*~*~ ~_~ Few that took me a while!!! *edit - tone down the power level after realizing that this will be more like Ann Rice than Hellsing...
