ChibiHorsewoman
I don't know why, maybe it's the fact that I'm going to have a girl that brought up this subject, but does anyone have any good Barbie stories? Or anything to that affect. The stranger the better I had a strange childhood with a lot of Barbies and just two Kens, so maybe you could say that Ken had a bit of a promiscuity problem. He ended up going to psychologist Barbie for that one. My brother had Ninja Turtles and I had a strange immagination so Barbie (can't remember what I called this one, but I know I cut her hair into a mullet so it was either the blond with the mullet or the redhead -who went between Jennifer and Jessica- who was the teacher) taught Maimed and headless ninja turtles. Oh, I didn't mention that my brother used to take his Ninja Turtles apart and place parts on other turtles. I kept losing the shoes, so none of my Barbies had shoes. To add to the fact that Ken only had a bathingsuit and Barbie had tons of clothes well...Ken ended up cross dressing a few times. Does that make sense? BArbie also had a bit of a temper and she ran over other dolls with the BArbie Corvette and if that couldn't be found-one of my mom's shoes  Well, I shared how immaginative my childhood was with BArbie, what about the rest of you?
Falkon
hmm...well not with barbies, per se, but with plastic trolls. (eh, theyre all the same :P) well, it just so happened that one night my parents were going out for dinner and decided to leave my brother (about 16 at the time) and me home alone. Well, we got bored and founf this troll, and wondered what the power of a microwave>troll was. So first we took some flammable substance and burned its hair off. Then we carefully set it on a paper towel and placed it in the microwave to bake about 4 minutes, or until done. Well, we took this troll out eventually, and oh man...it was just a pile of plastic. So just as we're finishing this up, my parents get home. Dad: "What do I smell? Were you guys burning something??" Jess(my brother): "No, we werent burning anything..." just at that moment i just burst out laughing, and we got caught. Ahh yes that one has been in the family "jokes" for quite some time now...about 4 years to be exact :P ^_^
eleanor
I had about four Barbies and only one Ken, so he usually ended up having dramatic love affairs and they most always ended up as everyone being happy. Somehow. Sometimes I'd get small stuffed animals and pair them up with a Barbie, so everyone was hunky-dorey and a big happy family. O_o. Now that I think about it, I usually tried to take apart Barbie's head and legs sometimes. I thought it was oddly amusing...
Queen Asuka
I never have a Ken doll. Me and my sisters would just use Barbies for males so that we could have strange romance stories and love triangles. I used to have a ton of Barbies and My Little Ponies. I'm really disgusted because I can't find any of them now, despite my many escapades. I think I'm just going to start buying new ones, as the newer Barbies are so cute and have very nice clothes. Barbie of Swan Lake is one of my favorite Barbies of all time. Not to mention the new SuperGirl and Wonder Woman Barbies. ^_^;
ChibiHorsewoman
I also had Rainbow bright and the Color Kids with Barbie. I think I got bored one day and in order to annoy La La Orange I paired my brunette barbie ( I think I called her Samantha or something) With Red Butler. Oh if I did that today it would be such a JErry Episode. QA you gave me a great idea, I think I might buy a few dolls for my daughter to play with when she gets older. The Malibu ones look so cute and I really do like the clothes. Thanks. And Mal- I used to rip off my barbie's heads so they could go 'swimming' because my brother has a blue rug in his bedroom. Or my friend and I would rip their heads off to 'swim' in her plastic beach. Of course, I could never get barbie's head back on so I bugged my mom until she'd put it back on. Fair warning-repeatedly having to put heads back on 14 or so Barbies can get annoying after a while.
Anne
I use to have one Barbie, one Ken, and one Kely doll. I never did like Barbie much. I use to cut their har and dye it different colours. After i would take paint and put makeup on them. Theh only close my barbies had where the ones that i made for them. So needless to say Ken crossdressed alot. I also use to have all the Teenage Mutain Ninja Turtle figures. I would take them a pretend to kill Barbie and the rest when they were going off to dinner or something. My Uncle was study to become a lawyer. We i use to read his book, so i use to have pretend trails. I would always use to put BArbie or ken inJail for something. The Judge was always Ralpheal. My Mom would come in and shale her head at me. ~MEW~ <((_^)>
Godelsensei
Ahh...Barbies. What fun it was, to be a young thing, with my best friend at the time, "playing" with our dolls. She has two little sisters, and I have one, and we are both girls, so there were...alot of Barbies and Kens and vehicles and pets and clothes and horses lying around. However, we solved this problem with great joy and efficiency. Some of my fonder memories are dying their hair green, then ripping their heads off. I remember how we would leave them lying around the house (the heads), as some sort of warning sign or something to that degree. The bodies were usually thrown into a box and left in a closet. : / I also remember taking an electric pencil sharpener to Life-guard Ken's hand. And his feet. And ripping his arm off by the means of leverage--that is, we popped it off using a door, somehow. I do believe my friend still has him lying around somewhere. We also used to cut their hair as short as possible, then pretend to burn them at the stake. I remeber, as well, that we once sold Barbie's horse to the glue factory, and put Kelly and her friends/clones/cousins up for sale as slaves. They were bought by the tyranous Ken and Barbie, who made them do all sorts of tedious chores and almost never fed them. What fun. For us, I mean. Every so often, when looking for dice or whatever in a closet, you'll find Barbies, mutilated in various ways. Yes, those were the days...^_^

Guest rain shower
I don't remember much... I barely had any Ken dolls, and I had more Barbies. The weird thing I did was always hanging my Barbie by the neck and hang it from the window and cry out, "Oh no! Barbie's dying!! Quick, Ken, save her!" But I didn't know what happened to my Ken so I had to use a stuffed toy instead... I used to think my favorite Teddy Bear was Barbie's dad, and he always said, "You can't go outside," but she'll go out anyway, and say, "I'M FREE!!" But then she'll get hanged for breaking her father's rules. :smirk: Oh! And the time when my cousin wanted to play too. She said with her Barbie, "I heard Ken was goin' out with another girl." And I said, "What?! KEN!! I'll kill you!" And Barbie killed the stuff toy and Barbie went to jail... I used her clothes alot, always changing them and things, but there was one time Grandmother made a dress for her and a peasent one. It was perfect to use for Cinderella, but 'Kaasan said I should have four other Barbies-- the two step sisters, the step mother, and the Fairy Godmother. So, I used my other Barbie's in casual wear, but since I didn't know the story Cinderella all that clearly, I ended up killing the step family and the rest lived happliy ever after. I used her shoes for finger shoes and lost them. :D
kenshinsbabe
I always used to get Barbie dolls for my birthday and for Christmas when I was younger. I never got any Ken dolls, though. Anywho, when I was little, I didn't know what I wanted to be when I was older (I still am deciding ,but with fewer choices). I used to think I had a knack for hair cutting. I'd cut stuffed animal hair, but mostly Barbie hair. Once, when I got mad at my sister, I cut off an entire head of Barbie hair and put it in her cereal. I got in big trouble when my mom saw a huge, Fruit Loop covered hairball and saw me walking away with a hairless Barbie doll. hehehe. . .
Deedlit
Barbies, eh? I remember a certain Christmas when I was about three....maybe four. I woke up that morning, went downstairs, and there, right on the table, was an entire Beauty and the Beast Barbie set, with the dishes and furniture and everything. I had only played with Belle for one day when my little sister got a hold of her. My sister didn't mean to do anything (*cough* mostofthetime *cough*). She took my Belle Barbie up to her crib so she could take a nap with her. The only horror was that in her sleep, my sister had an uncanny habbit of twisting her fingers in dolls' hair to the point when her finger would turn a shade of blue, the hair would be in knots, and the only way to free the finger from the hair was with a pair of scissors. Only hours later when I was looking for my new Barbie, my mom showed me a bald, grinning, Belle. I was screaming and crying at the same time for a while....:bawl:
