I think thats what you like for your mods to do and I can promise that if Im not heare daily I will definetly be on for 3-4 days a week at least.

If you say yes I will be sure to follow the guidelines you set out, and if you don't like th job that I perfor(if I am chose) then I will gladly accept your desicion if you decide to remove me from that post!

THANKS!

While I am not the most art-savvy person in the entire world; while I don't have any submissions to FanArt; while I don't even draw; I believe I at least have the talent to follow some directions that come with being a Fan Art moderator for theOtaku.com: Fan Art. I believe my non-art savvy mind would be able to:

Spot spam, given the proper definition of what spam in art is (scribblings on a fridge by a three-year-old perhaps?)

Spot Hentai (self-explanitory)

Spot plagiarism (being an Art Mod, you'll be seeing a lot of art, so you'll know if it's being copied)

If necessary, freeze accounts (use my frost powers!)

Correct spelling/punctuation/grammar (English Nazi!)

While I would think you would require a person more in tune with their graphic art side, I hope you keep your options open (not having trouble it seems with all the responses). I would hope we would get some more literature on the job before going out into the world, however. If not, I'll get someone to educate me on the proper art-spam, and so on.

I'm about to my year anniversary with the OtakuBoards and myOtaku. I know this doesn't really mean anything, but just might as well say it.

Hope you luck in finding a great theOtaku.com: Fan Art Moderator!

Do I get points for actually recognizing where the job will take place and what the title is?

Edit: Seeing that it's taking a while for you guys to decide, I've been checking out the FanArt section for a while now. Do you guys have a decision now, or what?

I'd love to be a part of theOtaku's Fan Art Moderating Team. I check in every day to see what new artwork has been uploaded, and I'm always happy to see the excellent pieces that come in. I find it exciting to see that all these people are out there and can do such great work. It also makes me happy that they decide to share it with the rest of the Otaku Network community. Receiving comments on my own artwork is great too, and I was really happy to see the comments system added so I could get tips on how I could improve and get praised for something I really worked hard on to share with others.

I've been a part of OtakuBoards since around v2, and I've seen lots of great pieces posted on OB, be they traditional or CG. I'm sure that through theOtaku.com: Fan Art that there will be lots more to come, and I'd just really like to be part of letting other see it.

Thanks for you consideration,
Lady Katana

If it's okie with you then I'd like to try to go for this position! ^^ Well I always visit the fan art community and can tell between the copies and the real thing! I've worked with alot of teens and I usually can tell what it not right for the site(ex. nudity) and what is okay. I'm 26 years old and usually when I'm not really sure about something(probably not) I usually see it somewhere on the internet! haha well I think I'd love this position if you'd let me! ^^ I'm not that active in the fanart community, but I always go there ^^ I dedicated my life on anime and have worked with several artists because i am currently working at Tokyopop! Exciting ne?

I'd REALLY love to do this ^^ I have ALOT of spare time and this site is just so CUTE! It really is fit for teens and adults ^^. I have a little brother that is 16 and, trust me, I'll no how to whip them into shape :smirk: hahah just kidding! I'll promise to do my best if you let me!
Till then, ciao!

I would love to do it, though I realize I am probably not the most qualified. I know very little HTML code, but I am learning thanks to that handy link you provided on theotaku. ^__~

When I stumbled upon this site about a year ago, the first forum I found my way to was the art fourm. And now that I am always visiting some part of theotaku.com, I generally don't go anywhere other than there. I don't submit a lot of fan art, in fact, I don't submit any. Unfortunately, I was born with out the smallest shred of drawing abilities. Even so, I enjoy art in any form. I browse the fan art section almost every time I go to theotaku.com. I enjoy seeing the up-and-coming artists of our community submit their best and not so best works. It really is fun to just sit back and take a look at what our artists are coming up with. My favorite section is the "Original Anime" section. It takes a skilled artist to create their own characters from scratch and make them look as amazing as many of the artists here do.

I'm not really considered an "oldie," but I do feel like I have "gotten around" so to speak in our community. I have grown to love these boards, and I think being a fan art moderator would be amazing. Ever since I was a mere n00b, I have wanted to be a mod. When I first got here, I was a bit in awe of them. I thought they were only there to keep members in line, never to just post in a thread. Then Syk critqued a piece I did in the art forum, and I realzied exactly what moderators do. They don't just do the technical stuff; they interact too. They post imput into threads just like normal members do. It takes the highest class of person to be a moderator. They have to be patient, kind, and for the most part, know what they are talking about. I feel as though I would fit in a position such as this. Although it is a huge responsibility, it seems like it would be a fun job to have. Plus it would be the single greatest thing I have ever achieved. Even if the beginning did start out a bit rocky, I think I would benefit greatly from the experience.

The only thing that might even possibley get in my way of the duties of the fan art moderator is that I am still in high school. I will start my junior year this fall so time might not be all that abundant for the first few weeks of school. But I seem to always get drawn to theotaku.com at the most inoportune times....say when I am supposed to be doing school work. In fact, I think last year I posted more once school started, seeing as it was such an exciting time for everyone. I am sure it would be no problem at all. In regards to my being so young, I don't feel that it is really important. From what I have been told, I am very mature for my age. A bit nerdy at times, but still mature.

You would not have to worrry about me abusing any of the powers given to me as a moderator. I would always use them wisely.

In any case, I am sure that you will choose whoever is most qualified for the position. If it isn't me, then that is cool. I can understand why it wouldn't be. Any ways, good luck with all this....I'm sure it will be crazy.

I would love to be a moderator! I don't have much of a change with so many people replying but its worth a shot!

I think that I would be a good moderator because I have been on otaku boards for quite some time now and you can see i've improved a lot. I know all of the rules and requirements. I also spend a lot of time in the fan art section so I very familiar with it. I'm trustworthy and promise to do a good job! I would be greatly honored to hold this position. ::crosses fingers::

:) Hey adam I will be glad to be a part of you anime art maderator. I have good skill in to finding plagrisim in the anime because I have good at finding websites and where they came from. I also have knowlege of HTML and how to costomize it. I am still in the learnig and sometimes it can be hard.

I know I might not have a shot because i haven't been on the bord for a long time but I have been on the otaku for a long time right when the otaku made the 2,000 so I have experinece and I obey by the rules . That is why. I also draw 24/ 7 So I know how it is, and what plagirisum looks like. I like looking at the original anime because they are really interesting. and I try to look and take note at the poses and positions.
