Hey, i'm new here, having been introduced to this site by a friend.
as u can see my name is Meggido . my interests include videogames, reading books(fantasy), playing hockey(grass) and watching movies/TV/anime.
i hate being a newbie. this is the second of these forum sites i've joined and unlike the other it is a bit more complicated. can people give me some ideas of how to work on the different sections i.e. adventure arena or battle arena. Before saying look at the stickies. i did and they did not make much sense to me.

Those two links are rules and help on how to Role-play, and what is expected. It's not that hard to understand, really. Just follow the rules and you'll do fine. If you wish to join Role-playing stories/games, you will need to go here:
Recruitment Forum

This is where you will read up on a story and, if you wish to do so, post a character according to the thread starter's requests. If you want to start your own story, this is the place where you will write a summary of the story and post a sign-up sheet. This consists of attributes such as:

Name:
Age:
Gender:
Appearance:

The list goes on. Make sure you give a good description of your story and what you expect for characters. Also, I will advise you to go through different stories/games and get a good grasp on how to set up your own story or character.

This is where you can fight it out with someone or many people. The rules are basically the same, no double-posting, no one-lined posts, etc..except with a few more rules.

Have fun, follow the rules, and don't be afraid to ask questions. I strongly stress this, if you have a problem or question PM someone. Please use the Private Messege system, it saves you a great deal of lecture..and the mods their sanity.

Have at it.
