Onegai(Please) Twins is an installment following some time after the events of Onegai(Please) Teacher. The new series stars a new main character by the name of Kamishiro Maiku. Looking into his past he moves to the memorable town from the last series. A few of the old characters make their presence known as well, such as Mizuho Kazami, and Ichigo Morino. Two girls of opposite personalities come to town with a similar objective as Maiku, Miyafuji Miina and Onodera Karen. Each carries a picture of two small children playing together in the area. Maiku has the picture as well. The story line is excellent as the girls may be related to Maiku, but they may not so expect romantic drama between the three. I myself have to see the final 3 episodes, but the series keeps me on the edge of my seat. Onegai Twins looks to have an impressive conclusion

Your plot summary overlooks a couple of things. Perhaps you could add "after the first episode, when they move in with Maiku, the girls have a friendly chat in the tub each week."

I don't consider the storyline excellent because there hardly is any - there is the story of the 3 characters and a short (and rather contrived) sidestory featuring two you didn't mention.

"Romantic drama" also seems out-of-place in connection with this show; it's far too short and not entirely focused on romance. It's more comical in tone than I would expect from a drama. The climax, be it the final broadcast episode or (especially) the recent OAV, is hardly earth-shattering.

It' s not like the show has nothing going for it. The OP song by Kotoko is marvellous. The characters are cute, innocent and likable. And the show comes up with some good scenes - the bathing shots are not the only ones in which the characters are revealed...

The theme of the show (the oft-repeated "we might be related...") can be taken to mean that the characters are pondering a possibly incestuous entanglement. A few moments of abashed intimacy, along with the nudity and other fanservice, the living together and the theme, are obviously very suggestive. All of this got the show a lot of attention and kept people watching every week.

However, underneath the gimmicks and hooks is a fairly good short sketch. The 3 main characters are orphans; each has a strong need to belong. They are sexually curious but inexperienced. Their obsession with being related is more of a wish for an undeniable and permanent relationship than anything else.

It sounds like a very interested anime. I have not had the opportunity to watch Onegai Teacher so I will most likey have to watch it first to see Onegai Twins. Or could I possibly watch Onegai Twins begore Onegai Teacher?

I think it would probably be best to watch Onegai Teacher before you move on to Onegai Twins as some of the characters from the first series you'll be able to get a better grasp on, and make the story more humurous.

 • 5 months later...
Bandai Entertainment I believe. The first dvd was released recently and the next one is due out soon. The manga(the two that there are) have been out longer than the dvds, at least in my area. My lazy butt hasn't picked up the 2 manga for Onegai Twins yet, even though it would only cost me about $16 lol
